What's your character's alignment?

Recommended Posts

So for giggles I did an alignment test for Zanas. Results were fairly predictable. But for those curious here it is. I found it amusing to do this and if anyone else cares to share have at it!

The version I did can be found here: http://easydamus.com/alignmenttest.html (I'm fairly certain it's the classic D&D one)

You Are:

Chaotic Neutral

Chaotic Neutral- A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.

Neutral Good for Kex'ti. Probably fairly reasonable, moments of VENGEANCE aside.

Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment because when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Oooo Kex'ti has 1 point of evil. OOOOOOO!

Kinda interesting to see a breakdown of a character's personality. Admittedly it's a quiz and not 100% true. But seems like it's a fair overview.

Some of the questions really had no "true" answer for Zanas.

Interesting, though somewhat expected. I'd pin Khorvis as lawful neutral, in the service of a lawful evil guild. Situations where his evil side would emerge were not often represented in the survey.

Lawful Good- A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment when it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest.

Meh. I think it's off. Especially the statement at the end.

True Neutral- A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.

It's difficult to earn his respect as a leader and even harder to keep it, but he follows his own code rather closely. He does not subscribe to the whole "Honor before reason" aspect of knighthood and believes that some oaths must be broken for the greater good.

Escala:

Neutral Evil- A neutral evil villain does whatever he can get away with. He is out for himself, pure and simple. He sheds no tears for those he kills, whether for profit, sport, or convenience. He has no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions, or codes would make him any better or more noble. On the other hand, he doesn't have the restless nature or love of conflict that a chaotic evil villain has. Some neutral evil villains hold up evil as an ideal, committing evil for its own sake. Most often, such villains are devoted to evil deities or secret societies. Neutral evil is the best alignment you can be because you can advance yourself without regard for others. However, neutral evil can be a dangerous alignment because it represents pure evil without honor and without variation.

Escala is an assassin, first and foremost. She kills for profit and pleasure. She cares little for any sort of laws of the land, but follows her own "code", which is little more than a business code. That being said, "loyalty" is an extremely flexible thing for her. After all, too much loyalty can get you killed.

Mortica: Chaotic Good

Chaotic Good- A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society. Chaotic good is the best alignment you can be because it combines a good heart with a free spirit. However, chaotic good can be a dangerous alignment when it disrupts the order of society and punishes those who do well for themselves.

For Vipra:

Lawful Neutral- A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs him. Order and organization are paramount to him. He may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or he may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government. Lawful neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you are reliable and honorable without being a zealot. However, lawful neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all freedom, choice, and diversity in society.

Vipra is a proud member of the Bleeding Hollow clan... or at least what's left of it. She is all about the clan first and foremost and, due to her time dealing with demons, has a strict code she follows in relation to contracts or any business dealings. That said, she doesn't particularly care for the well-being of people she doesn't consider to be family, but neither does she hold any particular malice for most people.

Brinnea Velmon is Lawful Good. For the most part, she is respectful of authority and is always willing to go out of her way to help people in need, especially friends and family. As a death knight, she has less of a tendency to look out for her own well-being, so she can be seen as entirely too selfless, hence where the stereotypical 'Lawful Stupid' alignment comes in. However, she also has a history with brutal violence and will not flinch at delivering harsh punishments to those she deems to deserve it. That said, she tries her best not to get involved with leadership positions or politics because she believes her subordinates in the Alliance would not listen to her due to being an undead. She also is afraid of making decisions that might fail to solve problems, or even cause new ones. She does not blindly accept the decisions made by her superiors, but she does not question them directly because of her belief her word means less than everyone else's.

All in all, Brinnea has the morals of a paladin, but the social ability of a marginalized minority, having been conditioned through her experiences that she and the living cannot truly co-exist peacefully.

And Keraph is Chaotic Evil, which I actually disagree with because while he is heartless and cold, he serves the will of his Queen and Country with undying loyalty. That such service requires a myriad of abhorrent acts which he enacts without question or remorse is secondary; the Forsaken deserve to rule Lordaeron and beyond, and anyone who disagrees will meet a violent end.

Chaotic Evil- A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If he is simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, chaotic evil people can be made to work together only by force, and their leader lasts only as long as he can thwart attempts to topple or assassinate him. Chaotic evil is sometimes called demonic because demons are the epitome of chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is the best alignment you can be because combines self-interest and pure freedom. However, chaotic evil can be a dangerous alignment because it represents the destruction not only of beauty and life but also of the order on which beauty and life depend.

Super close to chaotic good though, which is what I've called her before. Haha! I had to stop and reconsider some questions in the context of who "family" and "kings" would even be to her, since she really pays no heed to societal structures at all.

Sounds pretty much right to me. That last line is somewhat related to but doesn't completely describe the conflicts that Juli experiences though. She struggles with where to draw the line with self-sacrifice in order to do the most good.

She's only one point off CE though, which is how I'd always pegged her, especially since she does have a restless nature, gets bored easily, and loves stirring up shit!

0 law and 0 good? Well done Filora.

Siané: Also Lawful Good

"A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment when it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest."

Siané doesn't really worry about if other people are "lawful" or not, though. She's distressed by others getting hurt but she doesn't judge others the same way she does herself. She is also not really a champion of justice because she doesn't see herself as having any influence or ability to make a difference. So all in all that description is completely inaccurate for what she actually does, although she herself strives for lawful goodness.

Haha! I had to stop and reconsider some questions in the context of who "family" and "kings" would even be to her, since she really pays no heed to societal structures at all.

Same here.

Zanas really isn't the sort to care/pay attention unless it somehow benefits him (or may severely harm/hinder him).

Though I guess that's sort of the point with some of these questions.

I almost expected Cerryan to be closer to Chaotic Good, because he certainly spent a lot of time labeled a traitor and an anarchist for working against the then-corrupt government of Silvermoon. Keraph's stats were way closer, likely because there isn't a ton of specificity in loyalty and fealty as anything but a "good" thing. Keraph is super loyal to the crown, but when the whole damn kingdom is on the evil scale it skews the results.

Some of you guys should look at how close your character was to other alignments. Some of you were only one or two points off a different alignment, or even had a tie!

You mean like Mortica's tie between Neutral Good and Chaotic Evil?

Aaren has a near satisfying amount of evil to her.

I'd love to see a longer and more complete version of something like this.

I would too.

Interesting. Answering, of course, for Illiana as of the current RP going on. As far as Illiana before the "Set Me Free" RP...she's...
