Misdirected Passion

The sun was setting in Eversong, the clouds lazily crawling along the sky soaking up the colors for the dusk but a small elfin house was already covered by the shadow of the mountain at which it was snuggled up to. Inside the house a women paced, her bare feet making a soft padded noise as she walked along the cool stone floor, pausing now and then on the bear skin rug. Her light blond hair was pulled loosely to the side, with a piece of silk holding it into a pony tail that was falling apart as she moved a few strands falling into her face. She was often told how much she looked like her mother, Knight-Lord Kiara Sin’Riel, but Bella didn’t remember much about the Blood Knight. In her slender hands was a piece of paper that while it was a recently received, it had been folded and un-folded so many times that it looked worn beyond belief. Bella was re-reading the letter she had received from a former guild mate, his own illness and addiction having done him in. Bella knew the man was battling his addiction, most elf mages and warlocks often fall prey to it.

Leaning her frame against her table she put the letter down, her robe gathered in her lap before she put the paper down picking up a goblet she threw it at the closed door letting out a scream of frustration. Her guilds cause was to make sure any threats to the Horde’s unity was defeated; Garrosh and his threats against the other Horde leaders, making the task difficult; many have fallen proudly for that cause, many of them being very close to Bella. Scytherion had been the most recent, while his death was due to his addiction he was passionate about the cause, and even forced Bella to become more passionate as well, and she would now take his lesson to heart. The crash of the goblet and her scream altered her hand maid who came running in. “Lady Bella! Is everything alright!?” panic was on the elf’s face as her shoulder length hair looked a mess since she had just run in. “Everything is Fine.. I need to speak with the Elders, let them know I will be there before the day is out.” The women nodded and left just as quickly as she came.

Frowning as she started to put her armor on, Bella didn’t often like to visit the Blood Knights; their use of the M’uru often making her skin crawl; but they did recently send her Knight Keiren to help with her possession, so she at least owed them personal thanks now that she was free again. Bella assumed she got her dislike for the Knights from her father, the Farstrider often tell his wife to leave and do the work of a normal elf, despite their dislike for each other occupations the two were madly in love, and would often spoil their only daughter, that was while they were not being called off to war. Bella didn’t recall much of her mother once she hit the age of 15 (in elf years, 5-6 in humans) and then nothings at all when she was 30, She was told her mother had been killed by the Amani trolls. The sound of the door opening snapped her back to the present looking at the door to see who would be coming in without announcing themselves.

Hokuto propped herself against the door-frame. The tall, armored elf had an amused look on her face. Moments before a rather panicked looking maid had sped by her to who knows where.

"Well, you look like you're in a good mood," Hokuto said with a sly grin.

She pushed off the door-frame and strode over to a couch, her plated footfalls much heavier and louder than the smaller elf's. The death knight realized Bella was most likely not in sound temper at the moment, but she was never much one for letting things like that bother her. Hokuto had been there when the blood knight had freed Bella from her possession, though the situation she was not all that a comfortable one. The blood knight, Keiren, had asked for Hokuto's help. Then he asked her to kill Bella, though the plan was sound and not really meant to kill the hunteress. She relaxed on the couch and relaxed into it.

"So then," she started as she played with one of the rings on her bone horns, "I assume you have some sort of plan? Or are we doing things a bit more my way now?"

She grinned as she finished her sentence, her way being usually one of brute force.

Bella relaxed as her gaze falls upon the red haired Death Knight, her ace softened as she finished buckling her belt letting the mail hang on her hips. Pushing away from the table, leaving her gauntlets and boots there she closed the gap between them quickly, using her agility to meet Hokuto at the couch giving her a smile.

“What do you mean by that? I have to go thank some old elves; it’s what any proper elf would do.” Taping her finger against one of the women’s horns, then once again on her nose before speaking again looking down on elf, her height still bringing her up to Bella’s shoulders even sitting.”You are more than welcome to come with me, though I don’t think the Blood Knights will be very fond of your blood magic.”

Bella smiled at Hokuto, knowing who she would want to use “her” way on, the exorcism didn’t go quite as smoothly as Keiren had hoped, she could tell when Hokuto questioned the Blood Knight’s order to kill her. Aer’ther had gotten in the way from the bits of consciousness she had during the event. Sighing deeply Bella turns on the ball of her foot making her way back to the table to get ready, she didn’t like being late. Slipping her boots on before pulling her gauntlets tight and strapping them before looking at Hokuto as if waiting for her to respond as she heads for the door.

"A council of old badgery paladins," She laughed as she watched Bella, "I think I'm going to enjoy this."

She lifted herself from her seat, grinning, and proceeded to follow Bella. The huntress was right though. A group of blood knights probably wouldn't feel the need to be very welcoming to a death knight. She shrugged at the thought as the two walked out of the room.

"So, what exactly are you thanking these old elves for anyway?" Hokuto inquired, "Have they become some kind of useful to you?"

She paused tilting her head as she looked to Hokuto. "For Keiren silly." Stepping outside she clicked her tongue softly enough that most wouldn't hear it but oddly enough a spectral horse soared in and landed on the walk way troting its way over to its owner. "But In all honesty, my mother was Knight Lord headed for Quel'Danas when the Amani started causing trouble" Climbing into the horses' saddle she watched Hokuto get on her chopper, shaking her head at the trinket. "All of Rakah's poking around to help find a cure alerted them."

Grinning at the elf as she spoke "Race ya.." Taking off Bella hugged her body close to the galloping stead, dodging feral dragonhawks and lxyns looking over her shoulder to see where Hokuto and her toy were. Not seeing her at first Bella let out a laugh stopping as the roar of the engine grew louder. By the time they reached the stairs into Silvermoon they had been neck and neck Bella's mount trying everything to come out in front. The horse flapped its wings assisting in the jump up the stairs before they finally slowed then stopped. Leaning forward and patting the horse’s neck she cooed at it. “Good job” Pulling her hood back and fixing any stray hairs before smiling to Hokuto.

Hokuto gunned the choppers engine, forcing out as much speed as possible and then some. While Bella's horse easily took the stairs in one jump, the machine Hokuto was on would need a lot more than just a gentle patting to get it to do something like that. So instead the death knight opted to take the small bridge, throwing her weight to one side sending the mechano-hog into a tight drift, sliding sideways onto and over the bridge. Finally coming to a stop a bit behind Bella's horse, Hokuto was grinning ear to ear.

"So, I won that one right?" She said with a laugh, "I don't think enchanted ponies are in the rules."

She hopped off her ride and pressed a hidden button. The mechano-hog instantly folded, compressed, and stored itself into a tiny capsule, which Hokuto then placed in one of the engineering compartments on her belt.

Letting out a laugh Bella swings her leg over her horse’s neck and slides out of the saddle running her hand down its side before swatting at its flanks. Opening its wings the beast takes off into the sky,” Yea, You win” Bella spoke watching the horse for a bit before turning to Hokuto. “While we are here I need to ask around about some information on Scyth. Someone has to know something.” Her face saddened as she brought the topic up sighing deeply as if trying to push it back so she could face the Blood Knights.

Heading into the great blood elf city the two of them wondered in and out of gate ways on their way to the head quarters. Bella often looking around recalling things from her past, the city itself a former shell, most elves didn’t stay around here anymore, not like they use too. Some good has come out of returning home through she had met many mages that have made such an impact on her. Snapping back to the present she realized where they were sighing once again as she made her way in past some knights. A murmur was starting as they two females walked in.. though it was a funny sight when you considered their heights staying close to Hokuto as they continued to walk finally an older elf confronted them.

“Lady Sin’riel, Kiara’s daughter how are you this fine evening?” Even though the Knight was older he still stood and spoke with like and elf half his age.

“I am fine, thank you for asking Knight-Lord Halen. I came to thank you for Keiren’s assistance, he was able to free me, at the cost of his eye” Looking at the Knight she realized his gaze was not on Bella, but Hokuto.

“That is wonderful news, he will be just as useful to you with one eye as he would be with two. Lady Sin’riel you must know from your mother our dislike of..” he paused “the darker arts.” A few more Knight had come around them, many of them having their swords or maces in hand as if trying to prevoke a response out of the Death Knight. She tensed a bit, putting her hand on her bow and notching and arrow with one quick fluid movement.

“I know, and you must know a Farstriders dislike of magic at all Halen.” She smircked watching the elf’s face flinch ever so slightly when she referred to herself as Farstrider. “Do you know of a mage once called Scyth? I am looking into his past so I can hold a service for him.” Keeping her bow drawn she stood waiting for his answer or for atleast the other knights to stand down, neither of which was happening.

"No blood will be spilled here." Rakah entered behind two Silvermoon magistrates. He looked at the Blood Knights his gaze boring into the hands that held weapons. "Silvermoon is a city. This isn't the place to express such -- gaudy emotions. Please, let your weapons have some rest." He stood next to the two magistrates watching the small group as they looked between each other.

With the minor confrontation seemingly over, Rakah turned his attention to Bella and Hokuto, "I trust that you two are well?" He gently patted the shoulder of the closest magistrate and with a nod the two accompanying him walked out.

Von'tethiel Cirro froze where he stood at the mention of the "ley-line technician". Von'tethiel couldn't imagine why this strange pair would be asking about the mage. He realized he was on the job and tried to tighten his grip on his prized bastard sword but his hands had become quite sweaty. As he regained control of his senses he took a better look at the women to try and better gauge how in the nether they could know the mage.

His eyes were almost magnetically drawn to the giant elven women. She looked more like a queen of Satyrs than a proper elf. She was death, Scytherion would have no business with her. One glance at her told him she would not tolerate his games and eccentricities. Lady Sin'riel's story was known to him and others of his order. Lady Sin'riel was not an evil being but she has been known to harbor chaos. The more he thought about it, he could see the good Lady Sin'riel taking in the mage like some sort of stray. Like a Noblewoman muddying up her Hundred-gold dress to pick up some wretched three-legged pup off the street.

Von'tethiel regained control of his breathing and blinked away the sweat that began to sting his eyes. For a moment he considered attacking them, but Lady Sin'riel was too important to the order. He knew his superiors would have designs to see her brought to the fold eventually. Von'tethiel realized he would just have to play it cool.

Hokuto couldn't help but have an amused grin on her face as the group of blood knights surrounded her and Bella. She remained silent through the Knight-Lord's distrustful remarks. Bella had drawn her bow, but Hokuto made no move to unsheathe her war-axe. Though she had already decided that if things got out of hand she would have no qualms about slicing through them all. But that was not the point of this meeting. Her eyes caught a quick glimpse of a certain elf who looked rather anxious holding his large sword. She made a mental note to watch him before her thoughts turned to the mage, Rakah, who had entered flanked by two uptight looking magistrates.

She gave a subtle nod to the mage and laughed lightly, "I think we could do with better company." She motioned to the blood knights still surrounding her and Bella.

Bella’s long slender ears twitched at the sound of Rakah’s voice turning her gaze slightly as he spoke to her giving him a sweet smile lowering her bow but keeping the arrow notched with one hand just in case. “Evening Rakah, I will be better once I get my answer, then I can leave this hostile place for more enjoyable company.” Looking back to the Knight-Lord who was starting to realize that Bella had allies all over the city, the mage and Death Knight would be able to take most of the young recruits without much effort and Bella would make her way to a high vantage point, pick of a few herself before they could subdue the group.

“Why would you ask us about a mage? I do give my condolences to the loss of your friend, but I think you will find the Mages of more use to you Lady Sin’riel.” As Halen spoke he motioned for the knights around them to lower their weapons. Bella’s gaze moved around at all of them, she used her blonde hair to shield her glowing green eyes but one Knight in particular caught her attention, her keen eyes could tell the man was clearly nervous, something this order broke you of before giving you any kind of title. Keeping her eyes on him she spoke to Halen.

“I have one more request, then I will be out of your hair Knight Lord..What is the name of that knight?” Bella pointed an arrow at her, she had gotten another one from her boot, Bella was never fond of quivers and had small ones put into the lining on her boots. “He seems a strong sort; I’d like to get to know him.” She glanced to the elf waiting his answer.

Halen’s brow furrowed not sure why she took interest in him they had already provided her group with a blood knight, one they had hoped would help sway Bella into joining their order. “ Is Keiren not enough? Or are you finally getting bored of your hobby?” Halen motioned to her bow as if stating her Farstrider tendencies were mere play for children.

“Name.. then I will take my mates and leave..” Bella was short, her voice a bit sharp as if trying to jab at the old man. Halen smirked and then chuckled to himself before waving Von'tethiel to come forward.

Von'tethiel stepped forward keeping his eyes forward and stern. He decided not to expend any thought into why he was being singled out. This had become a disaster with the arrival of the mage. Lady Sin'riel's allies were spilling out of the woodwork. It could cost him his career either way now.

Knight-Lord Halen looked over at the Blood Knight Von'tethiel Cirro, pleased. A way to excuse himself in a manner which made him appear to be gracious always made him feel that the light truly shone upon him. Why Blood Knight Cirro interested Lady Sin'riel, he couldn't imagine. Halen had kept an eye on the young Blood Knight for some time now after the "incident." Perhaps Lady Sin'riel could serve the order today. He smiled inwardly, before turning his attention to the Farstrider who had the potential to serve the light.

"Lady Sin'riel, I break protocol here yet again. I get the hint. You require the expertise of a trained Blood Knight. I offer this service to you with no favor in mind." Halen turned his attention to Von'tethiel.

Without looking directly at the young Blood Knight he spoke, "Assist Lady Sin'riel as best you can. Report back to me at dawn."

As Knight-Lord Halen walked away, his escort of Blood Knights fell into step behind him in unison. Knight-Lord Halen wondered if the young Blood Knight would make the morning meeting. He shrugged with indifference at the thought. He was sure that whatever happened, the light would sort it out.

Folding her arms over her chest she studied the Knight as he walked towards the small group that was starting to form. Pressing her lips together into a thin line as Valen made it sound like speaking to a Blood Knight was not allowed she merely pushed the thought away, it was one of the reasons Bella could not become part of the order. Waiting for the Halen and his guards to be out of ear shot she finally spoke to the Knight in front of her, her voice soft and sweet.

“Would you like to take a walk with me? I do enjoy gazing up at the stars and feeling the warm breeze at night.” She smiled at him running a hand through her hair just enough to give it a messy tousled look before turning and starting to walk out the door. Bella knew that Hokuto and Rakah would not let her speak to the Knight alone, not after the reception they got from the order, but she didn’t wish to speak to him alone. Clasping her hands behind her back she looked over her shoulder to see if anyone was following her as she got outside before looking up at the stars thinking.

Bella did not know why the Blood Knights went out of their way to help her, despite it being in their code to assist blood elves with anything before assisting the Horde itself. That trait could be helpful if she could get past Halen and speak to the Lord himself, that would take time however and turning some of the lower ranked officers against Halen himself. Keiren was already starting to change his way of thinking perhaps she could convince this Knight as well. She did not know why this elf started showing signs of anxiety when she brought up Sycth’s name but she intended to find out, hopefully without getting her hands soiled, blood was hard to get out of chain mail and out from under her nails.

Looking back down, she held out a hand to the Knight beckoning him forward with a finger. “So what is your name fine Knight?” she tilted her head to the side, giving herself a more innocent and child like appearance.

Von'tethiel stood his ground with the posture of a proper Blood Knight. Chin held high and jaw set firm, he knew full well the Knight-Lord threw him to the wolves. In the distance Von'tethiel heard his fellow knights footfalls fade into the distance. The silence was broken by the alarmingly gentle, but determined voice of Lady Sin'riel.

"Blood Knight Von'tethiel Cirro, Lady Sin'riel."

He fell into step at a respectable pace so as not to alarm the brutish knight and the mage. He cleared his throat before speaking again.

"I do not understand how you have ascertained my involvement with this rogue mage. I see the folly in playing games with you." he cleared his throat again and glanced around to be sure the knights had moved on.

"The mage had a way of getting others to places they would not be able to without... Well, he could create portals. A wide range of them. And the best part is, no paper work. Myself and a few... ughhh... I... I saw this as an indispensable way to get to places that would allow us... me, to conduct a Secret Crusade."

He said it. She would rip and tear until she found the truth. He knew it was for the best. Having confessed this, Von'tethiel seemed to forget his secrets were not the point of her questioning.

She paused, a somewhat wicked smile crossing her face, the face that he would assume she knew he had anything to do with Scyth made him look all the more guilty. She nodded and listened to him it was no surprise that him being a mage that he was powerful enough to rip open a rift to transport things. She continued to walk now facing the Von, which caused her to walk backwards.

“Von’tethiel, such a traditional name, now these portals were they for area’s other then the major cities? And would you “Crusade” “ she made marks in the air as she spoke the last word, “Bring shame to your family if it was found out by anyone outside the Order?” She voice was still sweet, but she closed the distance between her and Von watching his reactions, they would tell her more than his actual words. Since he felt like devulging information she would take it, maybe she would get her answers without having to ask a thing.

“I have many questions for you Knight Cirro, let us find a comfortable private place to sit and enjoy each other company.” Of course by private she meant that Hokuto and Rakah would be with them. She intended to go to Stillwater Pond, it was close enough to the city for Von to feel comfortable but far enough away from the Order. “The lovely lady with the horns is Hokuto” She motioned to Hokuto with a wink then turned to Rakah. “This handsome devil is Rakah.”

Hokuto looked down on the blood knight, not out of disrespect, though she didn't respect him or his order much, but because of her height compared to his. Her cold silver eyes seemed to size him up almost instantly as she followed close behind the two as they spoke. She gave Von'tethiel a wolfish grin when Bella introduced her. She remained silent though, ever the watchful guardian, taking note of their surroundings and if anyone unwanted came around. Between herself and Rakah, she laughed inwardly at whoever was foolhardy enough to interrupt.

Rakah continued to observe the group stone-faced in an attempt to glean the purpose of Bella's questioning. He knew Scytherion was dead, but he was not sure what or where the link with Von'tethiel was. The last he remembered, Bella had made plans for a proper service in honor of Scytherion. From what he could tell from the bits of conversation he managed to catch, this Blood Knight was planning on using portals for -- something. He pondered the combination, "secret crusade" and noted their almost paradoxical nature. Why would a crusade need to be kept a secret? With these thoughts in the back of his mind, Rakah stepped aside from the doorway and waited for the small group to make their way out of the city.

Bella remained close to Von, her hands ready to grab at and arrow if the Knight proved to be unwilling to help. He knew something about Scyth, something she didn’t, which she was started to realize she knew nothing of the man. Yet Scyth followed the young elf without question leaving the Nightingales only for a short time but coming back when he was called upon. Bella hid her frustration well, Von’s vagueness annoying her, but the hunter always got the kill if they sat and waiting not by tromping through the woods looking for it. Her mind began to wander thinking back to how she had met Scyth.. when there was a funny elf that talked like a dwarf neither of them trusted him, that matter seemed to have paned itself out however.

She remembered the time the mage quickly came to her aid, sweeping her off to Undercity to try and get a demon spawn out from her, which would have more than likely ended her life. Altherion did come to their aid, removing the thing that his minion had put in during his time of madness. Scyth and she then having a fight over Bella’s lack of passion for the guild, she was quick to let the matter die instead of seeking justice. He had forced Bella to feel passion for their cause again, and now that passion was taking from her once again. People started looking for Scyth’s remains, stating that he was a bad and that he was just as wretched and the former king himself. The words making Bella angry again, she wanted to know about her former mate and what it was he was doing that was so dishonorable when he seemed to be nothing but an honorable but addicted elf.

Sighing softly she looked back up to the sky watching a falling star, a lone tear rolling down her cheek. She let it fall while she watches the stars removing it when she moved some hair from her face as she looked back to Von her usual sweet smile on her face even though she wanted more than anything to shake everything he knew out of him.

Von'tethiel went through the motions. He greeted Bella's companions and offered his name. He made the trip to the pond stone faced. He realized he may be playing the part a bit much but this dangerous little gathering would only respect power. He briefly fantasized about cleaving Hokuto's head but he was sure the body would strangle him to death. He considered taking Rakah's precious fingers which allowed him to cast his no doubt dangerous spells sparkling in arrogance, but who was to say the wicked mage did not have several spells in place aching for activation. Then there was sweet, blessed, Lady Sin'riel. For the order to consider her at all was an insult to every Blood Knight. She was simply a menace, with no place in the light-blessed future of the Sin'dorei.

Von'tethiel stopped abruptly upon reaching the pond. He waited for the rest of the party to survey the area. When he sensed they were satisfied with the seclusion of the area, he began.

"For many years now Scytherion has sold his services to... me. Having access to a portal is no small thing for those of us who spend every moment protecting Silvermoon, say, rather than those who go off to please every whim of the Horde." He smiled smugly and stood straighter.

"These portals came at no small fee, but Scytherion would also get us back into Silvermoon undetected. This was just as important to ughhh... me. The... crusade was of a personal matter. Simply between the light and those called upon. Scytherion had nothing to do with that aspect, nor would he be allowed. That is all I know about the mage. I would suggest you go to Sunsail Anchorage. He frequented that place. The wretched their would have quite a fright when a small group of... Ahem, when I would show up. As I was saying, a patrol recently eliminated a nest of wretched at Sunsail. I identified several of the wretched Scytherion met with or whatever he did there. Although I'm sure it's not a mystery. I've seen them snort the dust from disenchanted magic items. I've seen them eat a mana wrym like it was the finest lynx steak," he finished his tale with a chuckle while wiping a tear from his eye.

"Well, that's all I know. I shall take my leave," he bowed deeply and began to walk away.

(( this guy is totally transparent to you all. proceed as you see fit ;p ))

Hokuto slammed her plated hand onto the blood knights shoulder, her vice grip deceptively and curiously warm for a death knight.

"Hold on there short stack," she said calmly, "Nobody said we're done yet."

There was a subtle hint of violence waiting to be unleashed in the death knights voice. She had instantly disliked this one the moment she took notice of him and his shaky grip on his broadsword. And now he dared assume they were all completely arrogant. With her grip still on the blood knights shoulder, she kicked the back of his legs, putting him on his knees.

"Bella here might act sweet depending on the situation," her voice still calm, "But I assure you I have no qualms about violence."

Bella slowly began to shake, first it was just her fist which was clenched tightly in her mail gauntlets then it traveled up her arm. She knew Scyth wasn't a saint but this man spoke of him as if he was nothing more then a wretched that needed to be taken care of anyways. She started to growl as she grabbed an arrow from her boot lowering herself into a lunge much like a cat getting ready to pounce. Flying through the air she landed on the Paladin's back using the momentum to toss the paladin to side. Landing on her feet she made her way over to the paladin pointing the arrow up under his jaw.

"Von'tethiel you under estimate me and how much power I have within your Order and what it is I am trying to do. We as a race do not have any power within the horde. No leader to tell the brutish warchief what we need to prosper. All the Blood Knight care about is Silvermoon itself which is great an all but what if the warcheif denies us due to our once alliance ties.. That is were I come in you foolish Knight. So run back to your false light from M'uru. Stealing it's life force for your own -- rightous -- causes." Moving the arrow away before stepping away from the Knight. " I will make sure that if Garrosh's own enemies within the Horde do see fit to over throw him.. that in the choas.. We will take more power then we now have." sliding the arrow back into her boot she had completely regained her composer as if she has never attacked the man.

Turning back to the her two allies she made sure to watch Hokuto. while Bella could just claim self defense for the Knight's death she didn't want to give them any reason to try and remove Keiren from her. Letting out a whistle she waits as a giant green and orange cat comes bounding out from some under brush looking around at the group with it's fang's bared. Petting behind the beast ear she makes sure her nails get through the thick fur trying to make sure the cat doesnt attack anyone since this beast was not use to people like her wolf.

"Madness!" , was the first coherent thought Von'tethiel had after the tussle with his captors. He reeled at the thought that Sin'riel had such intimate knowledge of Hellscream's Court. Things were going so well, then the mage got killed. Then a very wondrous opportunity came along, and now he must relinquish it to them. After the threats he'd endured from the two women, Von'tethiel realized this battle could not be won.

"Sunsail Anchorage!" Von'tethiel hung his head lost in thought, then resolved himself before looking up at the group.

"I do not want to be savaged and eaten by that cat in my homeland. The light will shine on me when I die. I will offer what I know. I have a question. I'm not trying to bargain. I just have one question." He cleared his throat and looked around just to be sure they weren't going to attack him. Satisfied they were listening, he asked his question.

"How did Scytherion die and what circumstances surrounded his final moments. Did anything strange happen?"

Von'tethiel gestured in the direction of Sunsail Anchorage, then began to walk in the direction. He looked to the group to follow.

"Please, tell the story while we make our way."

Bella cracked a twisted smile as the Knight called out; it was madness, something she would have normally yelled at Scyth for making a scene, acting like a wild animal. That was the beauty she found in Scyth though, he was able to break her stone cast and make her do what is needed to get the results she wanted. She kept her hand on a tuff of the cat’s fur, while she was the pet Bella had had the longest, it was the most trustless and un-socialized of all her pets. Learning that even someone Bella use to consider a father could turn on the women it did not trust anyone the elf was close to. Looking between the three the cat seemed to be more concerned with its master’s target the knight in front of her. Bella looked down at the cat instantly switching gears leaning down wrapping an arm around the cat’s massive neck. “There there Shiba, I was merely playing it my friend.” Bella cooed to the tiger running her hand down her muzzle, “If you see him touch his sword however then you can play was well” Bella pointed to Cirro with that same twisted smile as before.

The tiger, Shiba as it is known, kept its gaze on the Knight. The beast saved the elf as a child when she was lost in Felwood and stayed with her ever since free to come and go as she pleased. Bella looked up at Von nodding as he admitted defeat, standing back up with the poise of a noble woman again. “There is no -- light – in your order, but when he finally came to me for help he had a large crystal like mass growing out of his abdomen.” She put her hand over her own exposed stomach showing where it had been “ I pulled my funds from everywhere, getting our apothecary anything she needed to help cure him, even pulling my daily donations to the Blood Knights.” She glanced up Cirro wanting to see if he reacted. Meanwhile her hand became a fist once again as she continued.” I do not know much about his actual death except that he had asked several people to end his life, the only one who accepted the request was Hokuto. She will have to fill you in on the details of if anything happened when he died.”

Bella recalled an orc asking something similar, and asking for samples from the mage. Gorvi, a tauren who was once a guild mate of them both stated not to trust him or the man who paid him the orc. She bit her lip as she tried to recall his name and the name of the group in which Gorvi said the orc was from.

Hokuto closed her eyes, trying to recall the day Scyth had made the request and the contract struck. So many times she had killed, all the memories seemed to merge together it made it hard to pick out specific times or events. She rubbed around one of her horns thinking.

"I honestly don't remember anything out of the ordinary happening," She began, "He made the request shortly after I had gotten out of the arenas with one of my fellow Grim."

She paused, thinking again.

"Ah right, he asked a favor of us, and then led us to Stonard," She stated, "Through one of these portals you're so fond of. That's where the deal was made. He requested that either my associate, or myself, end his life. I accepted reluctantly, though he made the choice easy by challenging me to a duel. I assure you as much as he wanted his death, he still fought with strength."

She paused for another moment, studying the blood knight before finishing, "After which I had my associate take the body and prepare it properly. So just in case you're wondering, yes, I am in possession of his body right now, and no I do not intend to turn it over to your lot."

Bella looked off into the distance as Hokuto retold the death of her guild mate, when Bella had heard what happened she was distraught enough not to ask for details, but now having heard then she was a bit bitter. If only Scyth had waited a bit longer, Bella may have been able to talk him out of it, even in his dying state it sounded like the mage was strong enough to give Hokuto a run for her gold. In the distance she could see the dark outline of the tower that stood at the anchorage, only a few dim candles light the building casting some shadows from the creatures inside as they moved around.

She looked out over the harbor with sadness, she was once taught by her mother that wretched needed to be dealt with, that they were no good and nothing but a nuisance, but now all she could see were once great Sin’dori that never had someone to help pull them back. The dim light playing tricks on the huntress’s mind someone entered the tower that look remarkably like Scyth, Bella reached out her hand only to have the figure vanish. Her hand remained outstretched as if she was waiting the mage to grab hold of it and for this to all be a horrible dream.

Not even the growling from Shiba shook Bella from her trance like state. The large cat overly concerned about the Farstrider, it started padding around her, creating a barrier in which it would attack anything that would come near her, looking back and forth between the three other elves, before glancing up at Bella to see if she had come back yet. Victoria, the entity that had once possessed Bella opened the gates to the women’s arcane essence. Growing up away from the city and any source of magic made it easy for Bella not to lust for the magic. The one mage creature tried to make the body more useful making sure it would be able to at least defeat itself from the previous methods of extracting, but now the arcane that surrounded the place overwhelmed the young elf.
