Entry 26: Three of Pentacles

Aiyee, so much to write...yet so much actually get out and do!

Liffle and Gioru's vedding vas a success, in my opinion. Sure, I vas somevhat desperate vhen I started inviting random strangers and Stormvind passerbys to ze ceremony, but, Fel, a vedding is a vedding is a vedding! Ze more ze merrier! Ze Dalaran venue vas perfect, though I still 'ave leftover deep fried pork from ze reception. Oh vell, I'll save it for next time ve visit Moonbrooke.

But in a serious note, it makes me very 'appy to zee activity and excitement in ze streets of Stormvind again. Folks are bein' passionate about doin' tiiings and startin' new ventures. Some ol' faces I 'aven't zeen in a vhile: Miiis Rose, Grand Master Atilakai, Lord Fol', Lady Serian, Spiritvalker Adele A'hara, Doppleganger Beckett, some folks from ze Red Hounds...aye, ze list goes on. Most surprising vas a man I saw in Auction Building... he vore a "recognizable" tabard zhat varrants further investigation.

Oh, how excitin', dah!

Entry 27: Death (reversed)

A member of ze Order 'ad passed avay two days ago. I am at loss for vords.

...

Gioru says ze funeral vill be quiet vone: tomorrow in Ironforge.

*A paragraph of content is scribbled and erased, to the point that it is no longer legible.*

Arcana, grant us strength.

Entry 28: Judgment

Ze planning for the Redblade Memorial Festival on Pirate's Day 'as begun. Quartermaaaster Rose 'as been vorking hard on organizing ze rules of engagement for ze new Topblade Tourney, vhile ze rest 'ave been helping out vith spreading ze vord, interviewin' last minute new recruits, and other preparations zhat I've neglected to start. We also got viiisit from Madam CEO Blingspark, who is plannin' to cut us deal for a new ship. We'll see how zhat pans out.

As for ze actual memorial ceremony...vell, zhat 'as gotten my hands full. Ze plan is a role call of ze Corsair Legends, and zhen lighting something and casting it avay to sea. Apparently, I cannot afford ze fancy floating lanterns I vanted in ze Auction Builidng, so I am search an affordable substitute. Lighting seagull on fire? No, no. Zhat von't vork either...

I've been rummaging through Madam Stormguarde's old log books, trying to find out more information about zome of ze former Corsairs. Surely, I fondly remember her, First Mate Chan, Surgeon Urich, Surgeon Mielkov, Ark and Mera, Chef Maiarle, Lady Lioslin, Young Maaaster Pyriol, Miiister Lich, Lt. Cyllos, Farseer Jed, and others I've met over ze past two years. But zhere are so much more Corsairs zhat I do not know enough of; I must admit I am a bit embarrassed to ask others for more information. Folks like: ze great Cuergo, Miiister Vestvind, even, dare I say, Lord Abner hiiimself. Bah, I am not even sure if zhese folks are alive, or just miiising, or just...

Aiyee... my heard 'urts, dah. That's enough writing for today.

Entry 29: Three of Swords

Vords cannot eloquently explain ze chaos zhat 'as been ensuing.

Vell, ze good news 'as been ze Order's activity. Ze Memorial Service on Pirate's Day vent very vell, better zhan expected actually. Grand Vizier Atilakai, Elzandiel, Dusk Watch-man Jonny Warsmor, and Farseer A'Hara joined us in ze celebration. Overall, it ended up bein' nice tribute to all zhose Redblades who tiiink they've been forgotten.

Or maybe zhey 'vanted' to be forgotten, and I am zimply just kidding myself tiiinking zhat my actions make any Fel of a diff'rence. But I digress.

Ze day after, ze Order met up vith Madam CEO Lixxel Blingspark of ze Acq.Co in ze Goblin port town of Ratchet. She showed us around ze area, and ve ended up being two new ships off ze coast of Durotar. Madam Evellin vould 'ave been proud: "Look! New shiiips, dah!"

Zhen Saturday vas ze gothic vedding of Cynthia Gravenstein and Harvey Smith. Despite ze rather 'dark' theme, I tiiink ev'ryvone enjoyed zhemselves. I admit, ze theme vas rather fun to partake in: gettin' dressed in black, holdin' black roses, and feasting on fried pork vhile ve danced in ze catacombs of Raven Hill Cemetery. Vhen ze guests vent home, I took ze couple to zheir honeymoon destination: ze tropical village of Ma'rat. Little did zhey know, zhat it vas Varlord Ugraz who first informed me of ze beauty of zhat place hidden vithin ze harsh deserts of Uldum.

Aiyee... so those vere ze good moments of ze past veek. Now ze bad:

Ve are soon to 'ave diplomatic meetings vith ze Order of Eversong, especially since I met up vith zheir leader and some other Sin'Dorei woman vith him in ze Pandarian Island vhere time doesn't exist. After an emergency meeting vith ze Order, I soon realized zhat not ev'ryvone agrees vith ze idea of diplomacy. Harvey vas quite hesitant, but it vas Miiisus Liffle who 'ad ze gall to mock me in front ze crew, to ze point zhat I 'ad no choice but to open fire. She needs to know zhat her actions have consequences, and zhat if anytiiing vere to happen to 'er, I vill not be ze vone to vouch for her zhis time.

...

Do I regret my actions now? Vell, I must be feelin' zome guilt if I am botherin' to write in zhis old logbook again after all zhis time.

Yes, time vill tell. Ze Redblades are expected to caravan from Survich tomorrow, travelling north to Quel'Dorei lands. In ze meantime, members of ze Order vill be lookin' more into ze hiiistory of zhis Order of Eversong. As for me, I shall meditate upon ze Arcana, and hopefully I can figure out to how to proceed vith zhis cross-faction alliance, vhile keeping all of ze Redblades intact.

I vonder....vhat vould Evellin have done?

Entry 30: Three of Wands

Been too long zince I wrote in zhis. Surely, ze Redblades 'ave been zeein' more activity zhan ever before, but somehow I feel less compelled to put my experiences to quill and parchment as of late. Not sure vhy...

Still no vord from ze Order of Eversong in regards to our alliance. As much as I would've valued ze partnership, I am forced to move on to other ventures for ze good of ze Redblades. I still avait news from ze 'revived' Dusk Vatch, but I assume zhat vill take more time zhan I vould personally prefer. On side note, vith all ze new members ve're getting (Miiis Skye, Brother Phalanei, Miiister Aldany, etc.), as vell as a couple of familiar faces (Miiister Ark!), my focus is now shiiifted towards 'elping zhose vithin my Order. At least, for now, dah.

Last Friday, ze Redblades vent up to Silverpine to assist ze citizens of Fenris again. Unlike our last trip, vhich vas mostly scavenging vork, zhis time ve vent head to head against ze Forsaken. Our newest Blade Captain, Valgeir Geissler, took charge vith ze planning and even 'ad solo operation to bomb Forsaken plague wagons aimed at ze Greymane Vall. Hopefully, our efforts 'ave allowed ze Vorgen of Fenris Isle to rest easy for a while. I must admit, it vas great pleasure smile to finally be out in Azeroth doin' ze vork and missions of service zhat our Order (as vell as ze former Redblade Corsairs) vere destined to do. Though I'd like to tiiink myself as pacifist, our offensive against ze Forsaken vas necessary, and I hope it vould 'ave made Madam Stormguarde and Miiister Lich proud.

Let's zee, other news:

Miiis Rose 'as been actin' strange. ever since zhat time in svamp. Or am I just imaginin' it? I am hesitant to ask her directly; I vill 'ave to consult Miiister Val' and "Guildmother" Rhysta.

Speakin' of Rhysta, I vas fortunate enough to convince her to accompany me to Draenor in order to search for my parents. It vould 'ave been embarssin', and a bit revealin', if I vere to openly explain ze reasons vhy I am so unfamiliar of Draenor's geography outside of ze Zangarmarsh. Vorse, I may accidentally refer to sometiiin' about last summer's incident vith Ezaa...

Anyvays, our search took us to a Nagrand village called Telaar, but no clues from zhere yet. I'd continue ze search, but I 'ave message from Valgeir in regards to another mission. Ze Order takes priority over my own pursuits, dah.

Entry #31 - Four of Swords

Grandpapah is startin' to feel better again.

His ailment caused much vorry among ze Broken Vones of ze Harborage, not so much because of ze severity of his symptoms but zimply because it is uncommon for Draenei to exhibit zuch pains and sicknesses related to mortality. Zhen again, per'aps ve are overtiiinking ze issue, for it is undoubtedly expected for our race to undergo at least ZOME changes just as ze rest of Azeroth is rapidly changin' zhese days.

But on much 'appier news: ze Order zeems to be goin' quite vell. I am confident and proud of ze leadership skills of Quartermaster Rose, Top Blade Interrogator Val', Guildmother Rhysta, and Lieutennant Cyllos. I cannot taaank zhem enough for zheir service to keep ze Order runnin' vhile I vas avay to tend to Grandpapah. Moreso, Sister Triah, Miiisus and Miiister Gravenstein, Lady Aaylin, and Lady Tesia zeem to be more active and content vith ze camaraderie of ze Order, vhich also gives me much varm pleasure smiles.

As for new faces, ze duo Miiisters Vatanabe and Denchest are quirky good addiiition to ze Order, while ze return of Chef Maia, Scout Illisade, Miiister Ark and ze great Madam Stormguarde reassure me zhat per'aps I am doin' a decent job in keepin' ze Redblade tradition alive.

And zhat is just ze Order alone. Zo many new and familiar faces 'ave been poppin' by ze Blue Recluse: Sir Cavanaugh and Commander Niktika to name a vew. Next time I get chance to chat vith zhem, I'll zee if our two organizations can collaborate on zometiiin'.

*half of a new paragraph appears to have been forcefully erased*

Anyvays, ze Harborage Sentinels are just 'bout finished vith packin' my tiiings. I cannot vait to be back in Stormvind.

Long liiives ze Redblades.

Entry #32 - Ten of Swords

2nd-degree burns, moderate-to-severe head trauma, and open cuts all over my arms and torso due to ze shrapnel. All in a day's vork as Redblade, I guess.

I may as vell start writin' in zhis logbook again, seein' zhat I'll be bedridden for quite zome time.

*Several pages of untitled, undated entries*

Ze twines of Fate have reunited me vith zhis logbook. Fel, it has been almost years since I've last written in it. It's almost nostalgic.

But I digress. I write now so zhat, if I vere to perish in ze coming battle against Altherion, some Redblade vould be fortunate enough to find zhis and know zhat all ze acts I plan to commit vill be for ze good of ze Redblades, if not for all mortal-kind.

*A page break*

Today is first day ve set off for Northrend. I have situated all of ze necessary testing reagents in my quarters.

I have decided to hide my experimentation efforts from ze rest of ze crew. If we are to triumph over Altherion and his forces, I must keep my plan a secret.

Every day or zo, I hear knockings on my door. Some times it's Miiister Cyllos, other times Miiis Cara or Miiister Long. Zhey even call out to me, perhaps even hear ze commotion I make vithin my chamber. It pains me deeply how I must stay silent, and every day zhey come is like a nail slowly but surely being hammered into my beating heart.

But I must stay silent. I must continue testing ze ritual so zhat it vill not backfire vonce ve hit ze battlefield.

Success!

A veek and a half into ze voyage and I 'ave finally found success. Ze ritual vorks! To tiiink at zuch long distance and zuch large objects involved zhat ze ritual vould still hold!

Maybe ve do have a chance against ze Undead abomination!

...

But at vhat cost? I now assume ze Redblades tiiink I am hypocrite, if not a terrible leader.

...

Please, please....Redblades....

... have faith in me in ze trials zhat shall come.

Entry #33 - The Hierophant

It 'as been diiifficult writin' in zhis logbook ever since ze tragedy in Northrend several months ago.

Altherion is dead.... I tiiink? Fel, it's hard to tell vhen a foe is truly vanquished zhese days. You just never know vhen zome necromancer or zomevone toying vith ze ley lines start causing trouble and resurrectin' old foes zhat should've been put to rest.

But even vith ze untimely demise of Miiis Reroma and ze destruction of Survich, zhere is reason to celebrate vonce more.

....

Grand Vestival of Renewed Hope.

...

May ze vords be as true as zhey suggest. Ze prospects are lookin' good though. Ze Redblades and I have zeen significant increase in activity in ze taverns we frequent: folks returnin' from battle or other recluse activities. And zhey all seem friendly enough.

New vriends. New Allies. Renewed hope.

Entry #34 - The Chariot

Fel. I thought I lost zhis ol' tiiing vhen I moved out of ze Stormrunner. Even ze cover is tattered from vater damage. A leak in ze roof per'aps?

I flip through ze pages over zhese old logs and cannot 'elp to be nostalgic. Zhese names I've seen and 'eard in zo long: men and vomen who, at ze time, vere ze utmost pinnacle of my life on. Zhey vere volks I thought I vould die for and vould do ze same for me. Zhey vere comrades. Zhey vere enemies. Zhey vere ze center of my strife and adventures on Azeroth: ze love, ze anger, ze passion, and all of zhat vhich I invested my energy into.

But, dah, 'ave tiiings changed.

Do I miss ze pirate life? Do I miss bein' Admiral of ze infamous Redblade Corsairs and ze Order of ze Redblade?

*a paragraph break*

I cannot put zuch thoughts succinctly into vords. And even if I did, it probably vouldn't matter. Azeroth is changed. Ze people I know 'ave changed. All of zhese changes are ze consequences of my actions.

Change.

Change is good, yes?

I am happy vith ze Caravan. Happy, no, delighted. My caravan comrades 'ave accomplished zo much, traveled so far, and bonded zo vell. Zhere's Rangari Beryl, Storm Shaman Long, Kirin Tor Pyromancer Zant Truthvood, ze reborn Alexite and her mender Trigoniz, Strongman Vlad, Outrider Jisair, Featherball Den' and Cleric Kiara, Bodyguard Tesia Lucero, and ze list goes on. I've made vriends vith Professor Marrus and ze Eternal Aegis, Lady Skylah and ze Twilight Empire, Cap'tin Zhii Fa of ze Jade Lion, and all ze folks from ze Invictus Sanctum~

... fel, not a single vone of zhese organizations vere listed in my older entires. Surely, I must be mistaken. Has it REALLY been that long?

Alas, I suppose I should pick up writing in zhis old log. It's not like anyone besides me is goin' to read it anyvays.

Entry #35 - Ace of Cups

An iiinteresting travel. Ve vere accompanied by Miiis Siane and Chancellor Skylah in our travels, and zhere vas no vay in Fel I vould say no to a Quel'Dorei maiden and an esteemed heiress!

Overall, ze journey vas rather quiet. Tiring, but quiet. It all ended in positive note: my caravan comrades gathered around ze campfire in Honor's Stand.

Hope to get zome good zleep tonight.

Entry #36: The Devil

Zhere is assassin on ze loose.

Rangari Beryl and Chef Maia vere hit on 'ead vith blunt veapon. And, now, Chancellor Skylah Mackinzie 'as gone missing.

Ve found zhat her tent 'as been slashed open and zhat zhere vas a trail of dirt as if someone or sometiiing vas being forcefully dragged. Moreso, ze Chancellor's pony is still in ze camp: zhere vas no vay in Fel she vould've vent off exploring on 'er own vithout her steed and supplies.

I've tasked ze others continue investigating ze camp and, if vorse comes to vorse, to sail back to Duskvood and inform Lady Brianna and Sir Rorrek.

Fel, I know I should be accompanying my comrades, but I also know zhat I am responsible for zhis kidnapping. I 'ad let my guard down. I 'ad given my vord zhat I vould keep Skylah safe.

...

I 'ave 'unch vhere I need to go, and zhere is no vay I am goin' to further riiisk my comrades safety by takin' zhem along vith me. Zhey need to return to ze Stormvind area vhere it's safe.

I must do zhis alone.

Entry #37 - The Devil (continued)

I 'ad gotten vord zhat Rangari Beryl did ze courageous act of reachin' out to Lady Brianna and Sir Rorrek. I cannot imagine how angry and upset zhey vere. Afterall, ve did give zhem our vord. Aiyee, no, 'I' vas ze vone who gave 'my' vord. And yet, I STILL 'ad zomevone do my dirty vork for me.

A cowvard, I vas. Sometiiin' Madam Stormguarde vould call to my face if she knew.

*a break in prose*

I am movin' our base of operations to Ratchet. Zhere vill be more resources zhere.

Plan:

Monday - Have private meetin' vith Miiister 'Z' to find inside information on possible Horde culprits.

Tuesday - Rendezvous vith Brianna and Rorrek in Ratchet; escort them to Honor's Stand

Vednesday - Tarot Card Services night to hoax out any information from local clients

Thursday - Diplomacy meetin' vith ze Jade Lion Privateering Crew to beg for more resources

Friday - Go someplace nice to relax from ze stress. Ze Feralas Steam Pools zound like a good idea.

Fel, it's goin' to be a long veek.

Entry #38 - King of Swords

Ze Grim.

My Alliance associates, including my closest caravan comrades, tiiink zhat I am too much of pacifist. Zhey tiiink zhat I 'ave no iiinterest in vengeance tovards zhis vicked Horde cult zhat 'ad captured Miiis Skylah.

Zhey are wrong. Very wrong.

*A old article clipping from Dalaran's Violet Eye newspaper is attached to the journal: http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?22885-March-Of-The-Mandate-(Open-RP) *

Many moons ago, ze Grim had burned down ze village of my ancestors in ze Svamp of Sorrows. Zhey slaughted innocent Draenei zhat night: merely for ze sport of it. Zhey commandeered a number of our Redblade shiiips, slicing our assets and resources by over seventy-five percent. My grandpapah has a permanent limp because of zome Grim orc who slashed 'im in ze knee.

Fel, it's been years since ze tragedy, yet I still can zee ze spilled blood zhat has permanently dyed ze common grounds of ze Harborage: ze rotting, nauseating musk of despair now merged vith ze very earth itself.

And vhat did ze Alliance military do?

Nothin'.

Zhey sat in zheir fancy chairs and comfy houses, raaationalizing vith zhemselves zhat ze settlements of ze Black Morass "veren't of high enough strategic importance" to allocate additional military resources from Stormvind.

And so hiiistory vould repeat itself vhen ze Iron Horde destroyed our former headquarters of Survich. Ze same old, pathetic cycle: ze mortals of Azeroth just do not learn. My caravan comrades and I contiiinue to suffer alone in silence.

Ze Eternal Aegis, ze Jade Lion, ze Invictus Sanctum, and ze Twilight Empire: zhey tiiink I am veak. Zhey tiiink zhat all I do iiis forgive. Zhey tiiink I am nothin' more zhan a loud-mouthed festival entertainer vith perpetual varm pleasure smile.

I vill show zhem. I vill show zhem all. I vill show ze true ferocity of ze tarot's power.

...

Zhere is certain collection of spells zhat I must zearch for now. Forbidden arts zhat harness ze very core of ze Arcane. If I time it right, I should be able to break into Professor Luminus's lab to zee if he has it. Othervise, I vill 'ave to resort searchin' in ze Kirin Tor libraries.

If I do zhis, zhen I can save Skylah and destroy ze Grim vonce and for all...

Entry #39 - The Devil

No sign of ze forbidden tomes in Stormvind. I vill need to go to Dalaran and zee if some Underbelly peddler might 'ave it in stoc...

... Ah, fel, scratch zhat. I don't 'ave ze gold.

Turns out Miiister Nat and Miiiis Dana 'as wracked up over tventy-seven thousand gold in property damages ze other veek and left me vith ze bill.

Am I outraged? Of course! Who vouldn't be vith zhat large a debt?

But, I suppose, I am liiittle envious of Nat as vell. Not zhat I vill admit zhat to him out loud!

Entry #40 - Queen of Svords

Vhy does vone kill?

It is topic zhat 'as plagued my lowly Draenei mind as of late: a sensitive matter that undoubtedly varies between individuals, zhat is, assuming zhey do not put on goody-two-shoe facade to evade ze issue.

To start, I understand ze tram of thought zhat vone fights and risks his or her life in order protect loved vones. Fel, zhat notion, once foreign to me durin' ze lawless years of ze Redblades, is now irrevocably carved into my philosophies due to all zhat occured in ze past year vith ze Cup and Blade Caravan. Rangari Beryl, Storm Shaman Long, Kirin Tor Zant, Anchoress Rhysta, Strongman Vlad, Featherball Denarin, Cleric Kiara, Lady Alexite, Outrider Jisair, Bodyguard Tes, Chef Maia: all of 'em I vould die for.

Therefore, vhy are zhere volks who kill others for pleasure?

Does zhere truly exist such individuals so zick in ze mind zhat they solemnly believe ze act of endin' life vill grant zhem solace? Can vone really devote his or her life to nothin' but destruction? Isn't zhat not healthy? Is zhat not too single-minded and vone-faceted to be reality? Surely zhat is not charateristic of mortality!

Vell, ev'ry vone of my Alliance comrades vould hastily label ze Horde as volks who do all ze above.

But, tonight, as I pen zhese vords, I question zhat.

NO VONE vants suffering.

NO VONE vants to be alone.

NO VONE vants to be in pain.

NO VONE vants to be surrounded by hate and distrust.

Zhere are facts of ze mortal vay, vhether human or orc, and zhere is no vay in Fel zhat any silver-tongued Alliance purist can twist zhese facts.

Thus, in regards to zertain persons of ze Horde, I cannot help but speculate and vonder: vhat is zheir motivation to kill? Vas it sometiiing zhat ve, ze Alliance, did zhat had fostered zuch deep rooted hatred? Vas is it sometiiing harsh in zheir upbringin' zhat left zhem broken and scared? Is ze act of destroying life only a defense mechaniiism from a greater pain, a greater struggle, a humiliating addiction, or an unfathomable clutching claw of despair zhat an individual simply cannot express?

But... vhat if vone is able to extract zhat pain? Vhat if vone 'as ze power to truly understand zhese internal battles of ze heart and soul? Vould such act of ze heart discourage ze motive to kiiill? Maybe no instantly, but surely it is a start! And surely it can change a life forever!

...

I rephrase. Vhat if "I" vas able to extract zhat pain? Vhat if "I" 'ad ze power to truly understand zhese internal battles of ze heart and soul? Could "I", Tuuro, be able to discourage ze motive kiiill? Could I change a life forever: a life whom ze rest of Azeroth 'ad left to rot due to his or her crimes?

...

Zhere is saying I use vhen doin' tarot card reading:

"You won't know vhere your fortune lies unless you turn over and reveal ze card."

...

So, vhy does vone kill?

I intend to find out zoon. Very zoon.
