(( The original thread. ))

Janaelle stepped forward quickly, watching Ugraz with alarm. If the minions allow, she'll place a hand on Jensonis' shoulder, if not she will get as close as she can.

"J, just tell them where he is. They're just looking for an object so none of this is necessary!" Turning her gaze to Wrest's she looked at him pleadingly, "Please, don't do this. I can find Ran some other way if you need me to. He's already injured."

Jen doesn't have time to block the punch, and his head slams against the wall loudly. Staring up at Ug he smirks slightly and wipes some blood away from his mouth, before looking to Jan. He lets out a quiet sigh. "I'll do it... But I want your word, Jan won't be hurt, I could care less about myself... But, if you hurt her... You get nothing."

Jen lets his smirk turn into a smile as he stares up at her, but after a moment he looks away and at Wrest, crossing his arms.

Wrest quickly hides a cool grin behind a cough and replies while rising from the chair, "Of course. I have no wish to have any needless blood stain my hands. Jan will not in any way be harmed should this business be concluded swiftly." With a dry laugh, he adds, "I can also include you in such promises, boy." He offers his hand to Jensonis, "I can swear to both yours, and the girl's safety." An easy smile is pulled over his lips as he grabs the worgen's hand before he can speak, "Do we have a deal..." Wrest's mind shifts: Sitting on a hillside with three trees, his home... their home, A woman running ahead of him, laughing spinning around in her new enchanted robes while her hair spirals the other way cascading over her shoulder.

"Nngghh." Wrest drops to his knees, convulsing and speaking in tongues. His hands rise to his head, gripping it tightly as his aura grows brighter, "Y'knath k'th'rygg k'yi mrr'ungha gr'mula! Sh'kiro'nh Wkk'tha!"

'It's love... always love, that evil, evil essence.' A slow whisper tickles Wrest's mind as the floorboards rott around him.

'You lost it, forever lost it. We won't help you get it back.' Another voice joins in, adding its words to the insanity growing in Wrest as his aura swells.

'Alone, always alone. Never again, never again, never again, never again...' Both voices mockingly repeat the phrase slowly spiraling Wrest's mind into madness.

Abruptly standing he yells, "Shut the fel up!" Panting, he looks at the gazes locked onto him, and straightens his cloak. Both undead minions stare raptly at their master as he attempts to regain his composure. He gestures to them and they look away, though hesitantly. Wrest eases his breathing and the decaying spreading along the floor stops as his aura reconstructs itself about him. After a short exhale, he states to everyone in the room, "I am fine." A short swallow, "I assure you, I am fine."

His gaze turns to Jen, a soft passion in his eyes flickers before being consumed by the usual cold fire, "I swear to you, she will live. Do we have a deal?" A slightly trembling, decaying arm is offered to Jen.

Jen winces as his hand was suddenly grabbed, but the pain is forgotten as Wrest appears to go insane, Jen stares, but shows little concern for the man. He growls as he stands up slowly and turns his gaze to Jan for a moment before looking back to Wrest. "You better be telling the truth.. If a single hair is harmed on her, I'll send your ass back to the grave... She is protected before myself..." Get me a working radio, I left mine at the Cathedral..."

Janaelle watched Wrest closely, her face showing a mix of concern and confusion. Who were these two men? They both clearly had demons haunting them. She was forced to remind herself that it didn't matter. They had both been quick to try and torture J. No matter their actions or promises, they couldn't be trusted. No matter her sympathies or what her former Paladin training said she should do, she would treat them as enemies; for Jensonis' sake at the least.

Ugraz blinked, and stared at Wrest as he had an episode. This was the first time Ugraz had witnessed one of these outbursts. "Wrest...you..be...okie?" He asked, softly, but he was interrupted by Jensonis' demands and threats.

Ugraz turned around, back towards Jensonis, "Don't you DARE THREATEN WREST LIKE DAT!" He shouted, at the top of his lungs. He punched the man's stomach, once. "You arrogant swine!" He knocked over Jensonis' chair, stomping his feet and snorting. "Now tell us where Ranavos is or ...or....Ugraz rip da girl's head off!" He grabbed Janaelle and pulled her toward him, hands reaching for her head, "Tell us!....TELL US!!!!" The rage could be seen in Ugraz's firey eyes.

Janaelle yelped as she was grabbed, then frowned at Ugraz, looking more annoyed by his outburst than afraid.

"Ugraz," she said, "He just said he'd tell you, could you calm down please?"

Jen groans in pain as he's punched in the stomach, being in no position to defend himself.. Yet.. Ignoring the pain he rolls to his feet and weakly holds up his fists, glaring at Ug. "LET GO OF HER OR YOU GET NOTHING FROM EITHER ONE OF US!" Jen roared angrily at him, before lowering his voice slightly. "Dead guy, you better talk your bitch down before he ruins your amazing plan..!"

Wrest gripped the orc's shoulder with his refitted right-arm, and pulled his gaze to him, "Ugraz, you will calm yourself. I am fine, and I gave my word the girl would remain safe." He smiles akwardly, not his normal cool grin, though far more sincere, "He has agreed to work with us. Do keep me from becoming a liar-" Wrest cuts off abruptly as Jen begins yelling at Ugraz, "Begging your pardon, boy. What did you just call him?" The necromancer releases the orc's shoulder, patting it to calm him somewhat.

He stands before Jensonis, tilting his head at the worgen as both Ethos and Omazar walk up behind him, "I do not take mockery of myself well, I take mockery for others far, far worse." Purple runes begin dancing along his hands and throughout his fingers, "I ask again, what did you call him?"

Jen takes a deep breath, calming himself before speaking again. "I meant no offense, I let my anger best me. Apologies... We have a deal, and then he.. She's the only one.. No one harms her.. No one threatens her.." Jen holds up both of his hands, palms facing Wrest. "I wish no harm, lets keep this peaceful.. Please."

Wrest clenches his fist and necromantic energy seeps out between his talons, "Very well. You have my apologies as well, I do swear that the girl will stay safe." His eyes cease blazing and return to a calm smolder. "Ugraz, offer the man your radio." Wrest taps his nose and smiles at Jen, "I would like to request you use it only to contact Ranavos, things may get somewhat messy should you do something else."

The necromancer stands before his chair, and glances over his shoulder. When he had confirmed no eyes were watching him, he collapsed into the leather and put a hand over his eyes.

'We do not leave... we linger forever.'

His rotting lips silently form the words, 'I know'.

Ugraz sighed, upset that he was losing his radio, but happy that Wrest defended him, "Fine..." He grabbed his radio and handed it to Jensonis, "ONLY contact Ranavos...if you do ANYDING else...Ugraz rip out your tongue.." He growled, and watched the man carefully.

He let go of Janaelle, and looked at her with an apologetic look. He nodded at her, and looked back at Jenson. "Hurry up already! Dumb Humans..you all stink wid gadgets and stuffs.." He mumbled.

Janaelle nodded to the Orc, then impulsively placed her hand on his arm gently. She left it there for only a moment before turning her gaze back to Wrest. The necromancer did not look well. Hesitating, she shook her head and turned to watch Jensonis; it probably wasn't safe to leave him and Ugraz so close together. Plus, she didn't know how the man would react to her concern.

Jensonis looked at Jan worriedly before taking the radio, lightly drumming it with his fingers as he shot a glare at Jan's concern for Ug for a moment before pressing the talk button and muttering into it weakly. "Ey.. Ranny-boy, you alive out there? If so, say something, and fast, or I'll give your skull to some children to play kickball with.." Jen allowed a slight smirk to show as he quickly brought the radio down, but kept it in his hand, eying Ug suspiciously before turning his gaze to Wrest.

"You do know, that if your friend here harms Jan... I may not be able to control myself from at the least harming him in return, this is not a threat, so please don't misunderstand me, just... Please try to keep him calmed."

Ranavos’ eye flickered back to life as he is awoken by a cracking sound, confused he searched his pockets to find the cause and pulls out an old gnomish radio that Jen has given to him a while ago. The lich knew nothing about gnomish technology let alone used it. He shook the radio to get to working somehow, but with no avail as drips of water poured out of it. Ranavos had spent nearly a day underwater, only logical that it broke due to that reason. He sighed and tossed the broken gadget aside and returned back to relaxing.

Without looking up, he mutters a reply to Jensonis, "As I said, the girl will be fine. I am currently more concerned with Ran's response than anything else." The undead rubs his temples and peers over his hand at Jen, "He will reply to you I'm sure. Though if possible, neglect to mention anything about me." A weak grin slides across Wrest's features, "We've met you see. I'm sure you recall Ethos." Wrest gestures back to the ghoul, "He took the liberty of escorting the lich to me originally, though due to poor circumstance..." The Forsaken glares at Ugraz momentarily, "We seem to have lost each other."

Wrest settles further into his chair as his eyes flicker out, "Awaken me when you've gained contact with 'Ranny', would you?"

Jensonis groans as he continues to get nothing but static back from the radio. "Light damned Lich.. Good for nothing... We should try looking for him, unless you care to never speak to him.. I'd check his usual spot.. And wherever you last seen him."

He sighs tiredly and leans against the wall, quietly whispering to Jan. "Are you alright?"

Ugraz shrugged, "Wrest is da brains o' da operation..keep using dat radio....we can look for him later."

He glanced at sleeping Wrest, and sighed.

Jensonis sighs and hands the radio to Ug. "Hey, moron, static means not working for some reason, got that, no worky? Desa da no work? Work no the dese? Take it, unless you want me to call others, maybe Gyro or something, or Sadi. She has an army herself..." He doesn't wait for a response from Ug before looking at Jan. "Thanks to them? I tried, come on.. Like I -always- do!"

While the living debate what to do, Ethos takes the initiative and wanders out of the building. The ghoul springs up to the rooftops, launching himself higher and higher until he lands on the tallest tower he can see. He raises a rotting claw to cover his eyes as he scans the city, looking for Ranavos' aura. While his sight wanders Stormwind, the ghoul's mind inspects the body: Flesh state of decay- 78%, Saronite bones- intact, Blight stores- full, muscular structure- ideal, current mental functions- abnormalities present. The ghoul blinks, and lowers his hand from above his eyes. Ethos was a killing machine, he should not feel this thing called 'curiosity' for that fault called 'emotion'. A soft 'Mrr...' hisses between his teeth, perhaps his master's insanity had started to spread to him.

Before he can begin searching again, the undead's attention drifts further inward. 'He who ran', Jen... Jen attempted to defend the girl with no hope against a necromancer of Wrest's prowess, not in that state. Why? He risked his life in a gamble that had no chance of working, it was illogical. Why? He would grant her and the other anything from the sound of it: his life, his safety, anything. Why, why, why, why? Ethos blinks again, catching himself gnawing on a finger-bone, something was very, very wrong with him now.

Jensonis eyes Jan curiously. "Gotta wonder why you're defending them... But, I trust in your trust. I owe you that much, for dragging you into this, I suppose." He sighs and slumps against the wall tiredly, sliding into a sitting position and staring up at Jan.

Ugraz took the radio, and thought. 'Okie..dat..Ranavos guy..wus...last on da beach..Ugraz saw him...where was he..uh...on...on da ice! He was floating! Aha! Wrest will be proud of Ugraz!' He grinned. Ugraz looked at Omazar, then at Janaelle and Jensonis.

"Don't try anyding while Ugraz gone..or dat Elf will butcher you..just in case, Ugraz gonna tie you up...Resist and you die." He would tie up their hands and feet, if they showed no resistance. He tied them up, tight, and turned back into a Draenei, using his devices. "Don't move.." He eyed Omazar one more time, and walked out.

Once outside, he looked around. There were people running around, probably from the chaos. "Hah..gud..Ugraz won't look out of place.." He start running toward the coast, his hoofs moved awkwardly. He ran for about twenty minutes, finally arriving at the beach. He spotted the Lich on the sand, lying down. "Lazy bastard.." Ugraz muttered, slowly and silently making his way toward the man.

'How to fight undead...hrmm..fire!' Ugraz thought. He pulled a torch from his bag, and lighted it with his Gnomish lighter. He pulled out a net, and moved closer to the Lich. '1....'

'2....'

'3!'

He threw the net onto the Lich, then held the torch next to the man's head. "Move and Ugraz burn your wicked body..Ugraz heard undead have trouble coming back to life wid no body!" He cackled.

Ranavos’ sprung out of his ‘rest’ and struggled with the net like a trapped fish. He didn’t care who was attacking him, he just wanted to get the fel out, I mean really, who attacks a sleeping person? The lich hissed in annoyance and blinked out of the net about 20 yards away. Giving a quick look at his attacker, he began to run.
