is combat still viable for pvp?

Combat is for sustained damage and in pvp (for me) it's all about burst and control. Good build for leveling and keeling dragons and crap just not my personal favorite.

Full combat? Not so much.

Some rogues still go as far as Mace Spec and Adrenaline Rush.

Full combat rogues in PVP are usually raiders who are too cheap to respec for PVP. (Like me.)

what about for latency reasons?

is there a good pvp spec that doesn't have to use daggers?

41 pt is nice for being an anti-rogue spec. Kidney shotting an evasion can be murderous.

<points at this thread. (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=9685)>
But if you're leveling don't go all nutso on pvp spec. Embrace the nomnomnomness that is combat swords, precious (just be sure to level your other skills)!

You can try looking up Rethsil on the armory. He's a good pvp speced Rogue that went back to daggers from using maces, though he still uses those occasionally.

Other than that... you can try looking up Fynne's build and see what he has.

No maces, no maces!

*hugs knees and rocks back and forth*

Weapons that go *THWACK* =/= weapons for a silent killer and stealthy dweller in the shadows.

I don't care whether or not it's a viable spec, it gives me a throbbing pain in my concept nerve.

(Not to slight any of you mace rogues, but it just bugs me on an IC level unless you've got a damn good concept for it.)

I know. I know. We should have daggers and slim little blades. I just tell myself we sap with really BIG sticks.
Ahem.

Blame Blizzard for making thwacking weapons more effective than silent little blades!

Rogues are not at fault...for anything. We are innocent of all wrong doings. :D

Aw now...Sifar's a dwarf for goodness sake! She shouldn't even be deemed worthy of the title "rogue." *cackle* So, I play her blunt and direct, like any dwarf, and take more of a brawler approach to her character. For that, maces seem to work. (Dae and Syl will just continue to look down their noses at her.)

I just can't picture her sneaking up and garroting a Tauren a full body height taller than her. Regardless, that's completely off-topic.

Dwarf rogues are really the only ones I can see maces being explainable for. I used to not get dwarf rogues in general, but somebody - can't remember who - just encouraged me to think about them as specializing in misdirection more than personal stealthiness. For that, maces would be kinda ok. But still...

*continues to hug knees, rocking back and forth and humming showtunes*

The Horde Rogues do quests for trainers in "The Shattered Hand" so I just figure 1+1 = 2....besides its hard to shatter a hand with a dagger.... that just leaves holes. ...I play with all weapons though.. it just depends how i'm feeling... then I spec accordingly.
