My Lord Bolvar Fordragon,

It is my duty to inform you that on the eve of Tuesday, the 4th of March, I was informed of an assault on the Alliance town of Southshore. As you know, the tension with the Horde frequently boils over in Hillsbrad Foothills, and I assumed that this was no more than another minor skirmish. I deployed my scouts to the area and was informed that the enemy force (of note) consisted of paladins, a shaman, a warrior, and a druid. As my usual specialty is dispatching caster types, I assembled a small force of available First Legionnaires to repel the Horde.

Upon reaching Southshore, we dispatched the enemy with minor effort. It is, however, worth nothing the guilds involved. The Grim, who seem to be based out of Lordaeron, were present, as was the leader of the Korkron Vanguard, Alekander, although as soon as the fight turned against him, he fled the field of battle; the main aggressors on the innocent town of Southshore seemed to be a guild known as The Raven Cross. While they posed no threat, it is with the most sincerity that I recommend keeping a close eye on their leader, Leoren, who in the past has proven to be a formidable opponent.

The purpose for which I am writing you involves our activities after defending Southshore. After driving the enemy from the town, my force raided the town of Tarren Mill to ensure that the enemy had no more capability to launch an assault. While we initially suffered only a limited resistance from the now-retreating Horde, our success was overwhelming, and the town was quickly burnt to the ground. I am pleased to inform you that a sizable Grim force attempted to retake the town and was summarily annihilated. My force occupied the town until my scouts reported to me that the entirety of the enemy had retreated from the area, and satisfied with our victory, we departed via portal.

I am concerned, however, that The Grim and The Raven Cross will attempt some manner of petty retaliatory strikes to regain their wounded pride and morale, and recommend that additional Alliance forces be dispatched to Southshore, Refuge Pointe, Menethil Harbor, and perhaps even as far as Dun Algaz and Thelsamar to thwart any such assaults.

Attached, you will find my scout reports detailing the enemy retreat, and those most likely to attempt such action. I hope that these reports lead to the continued safety of Alliance lands.

I have the honour to be,
Sir Henri Fynne

(This was a huge blast, guys! No disrespect OOC; you guys put up a hell of a rally, and we almost had to flee the town a few times from the sheer number of guards! Hope to see you all around the world again. <3 from FL)

(( Oh. So now First Legion is willing to do old-world PvP. I see how it is. ))

(It's all in the approach... you can't just go, "Hey, First Legion, I challenge you to old-world PvP! Be here at soandso time!" - that'll never work! You've got to understand the motivation behind your target audience here...

...so basically, it went like this in guildchat:

"Hey, who wants to come kill 5-6 L.70 RPers attacking Southshore?"

...and then I had an 8-man raid on my hands. =P)

My Lord Bolvar Fordragon,

I am ever your loyal servant, and in the course of serving the Alliance, I have dutifully witnessed our might firsthand. It is, however, with regret that I inform you that as of Friday, the 7th of March, the Outland town of Halaa has fallen to the Horde. While I understand that Alliance forces remain disorganized in the wake of Lady Prestor’s recently exposed interference, I must stress that the First Legion cannot always be counted on to provide a sufficient force to ensure the level of success reported in my last letter.

It is my duty to recommend that additional forces be deployed to Nagrand, as even the unmatched skill of my fellow Legionnaires cannot adequately compete with the overwhelming numbers of the aptly named Horde when they commit the entirety of their army. In lieu of sparing already thin-spread Alliance forces, I would request that you direct any available or interested guilds to the First Legion as an alternative, that we may privately coordinate our efforts.

It is worth noting that my previous scout report and assessment held true, as the most significant contributor to the Horde war effort in Halaa was Leoren’s Raven Cross, with minor assistance from The Grim. I would politely request that my information be analyzed more closely in the future.

I am concerned that Horde, particularly Grim, morale may rise after this minor victory, and assure you that I will be working through the weekend to remind our enemy of their proper place beneath the might of the Alliance.

I have the honour to be,
Sir Henri Fynne

(Good match out there, tonight! I'm thinking we need more Aussies in the guild; too many Yanks falling asleep instead of guiding us to glorious victory! Maybe next time, though. ; ) )

((Fynne and his people then decided to attack a few of our people at the Netherstorm meeting stone, unaware that we had a 25 mana raid right at the front of the Eye. One of the rare occasions I forgot to take screens, but good to see you and thanks for the HKs! <3 Fynne))

((Mae was dead under lovely's feet, and I was in vent going "OMG ITS LOVELY! QUICK, KILL'M!" ;p Your raid trounced us.. 25 to 6 is totaly not fair! but we did hold the meeting stone for quite a while afterwards ;p there was like.. 10 horde hovering over us, waiting for everyone to go away while we played "Mae's the bait" ;p Then we moved on to Halaa, and held it for quite a while.

I totaly blame them loosing controle of Halaa to hordies on my going to bed. Ferserious. ))

((I didn't even see you, Mae, or I'd have hugged you. I think I may have hugged Fynne too, but in the chaos of everything I just started healing people and sort of forgot. lol.

Funny thing though, your people were targeting one of our warlocks, and I was depserately spamming heals on him so he could AOE, and then he ran into town, and his DOTs aggroed the guards. Hilarious death ensued. I was lucky to live. hehe. <3 Mae Mae))))
