Weight: Heavy, ~400 pounds

Place of residence: A small office in Theramore's Foothold Citadel.
Place of Birth: Unknown
Known Relatives: Mother living in the Exodar

Religion/Philosophy: Follower of the Holy Light and its tenets and virtues. He views the Holy Light as a blessing given to the Draenei by the Naaru. The use of the Holy Light by the races of Azeroth reinforces his idea that the Titans and various gods and goddesses are associated with the Naaru in some way. Ignas has a deep respect for Nature and admires the Shamans, Druids, and Hunters that serve the Spirits. He views the Spirits as a similar power to the Holy Light. He considers Discipline to be the governing virtue of all other tenets and virtues.

Weapons of Choice: Two-handed weapons, particularly heavy hammers.
Dislikes: Murderers and assassins, snow and ice, crowded areas, shadow magic, Demons, torture, slavery, Death Knights in general, the Forsaken.
Hobbies: Meditating, traveling, reading, fishing.

Physical Features: Ignas is of average size for a Draenei. He has wide shoulders with thick arms. His forehead has a large receding plate on it while his hair falls onto his back. Four tentacles drape from his chin and neck to his chest. He has a strong upper body and back which allows him to use large weapons and items with relative ease.
Special Abilities: Ignas was not born with any "special abilities", but through training he has developed some special skills. Through meditation he is able to remain clearheaded in combat. This allows him to focus on his enemy and cast spells in the heat of battle. Living and fighting in the Zangarmarsh has improved his ability to travel and fight in some difficult terrain, such as wetlands or thick underbrush. The cataclysmic events that befell Draenor when the Orcs sought to enter new worlds had adverse effects on him, like many of the other denizens of the world. He suffers from infrequent memory impairment, forgetting the finer details of some memories progressively.
Positive Personality Traits: Ignas is fiercely loyal, especially to his friends. He does not become angry easily, usually remaining calm and civil. His desire to aid others is commendable and he is more than willing to go the extra mile.
Negative Personality Traits: He can be a bit quiet in a public setting, which can come off to some as shy. His stoic and often serious demeanor can be intimidating at times. He is also slightly racist, though it is not out of hatred of any particular race. It mostly stems from the typical Draenei viewpoint of being better than the "short-lived" races. In recent times this has become a less prominent aspect of his personality. Although slow to anger, he can have an explosive temper under certain situations. Someone showing a lack of discipline usually brings out the worst in him. His "fierce loyalty" sometimes does more harm than good. Can be stubborn, even zealous, at times depending on the circumstance.
Misc. Quirks: He has an odd fear of frozen bodies of water. Generally confused with puns and figures of speech and can be naive about some "Azerothian" customs.

History: Ignas was born some time before the arrival of the Draenei on Draenor. While on Draenor, his mother was a gemcutter and his father was a Peacekeeper for Shattrath City. With heavy military training and being blessed by the Naaru with the Holy Light he became a Vindicator of the Hand of Argus.

He traveled with trading caravans to Orc settlements for both protection and diplomatic reasons. He was able to learn some of the Orcish language, although he is not quite fluent yet. He admired the Orc Shamans and their power over Nature and soon began to study the Spirits in greater detail. While he could not command the Spirits as the Shamans did, he was still fascinated by their powers. His studies focused on the parallels of the two powers (the Spirits and the Holy Light) and their abilities to heal and destroy.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly for many years. The Draenei lived in formal peace with the Orcs and their civilization seemed to be thriving. But everything changed. The Orcs became bloodthirsty and savage. They attacked Draenei settlements left and right. No one knew why they were doing this, and it was only until later that the truth unfolded. It was ordered by Prophet Velen that Shattrath was to be falsely populated by those willing to sacrifice themselves to allow the others to escape the crazed Orcs. Ignas was ordered, along with many other members of the Hand, to make sure every last refugee was to make it to the swamps of Zangarmarsh before retreating with his comrades.

The rest of the story regarding the arrival of the Draenei on Azeroth is common knowledge to most members of both the Horde and Alliance. Ignas' role was like that of other defenders of the Draenei. He ensured others made it on the Exodar before he did and was one of the last on it. After the crash on Azuremyst Island he was sent out to recover losses from the various pods as best he could. Orders changed when diplomacy became an issue and he was sent to Darnassus to speak with those that would help. There, he came across a group of Humans and Dwarves who followed the Holy Light just as he did. He, along with other Draenei, joined the ranks of the Fabled Order to strengthen the Draenei ties with the Alliance. While officially a member of the Order, he still receives commands from the Exarchs and the Triumvirate of the Hand of Argus.

Ignas the Shepherd is yet another of the first to rise through the ranks of knighthood in the Fabled Order, he now watches over the training of our newest Adepts as a Master. Over the seasons, Ignas has come to define himself through his loyalty to his brethren, the Order, the Alliance and the Light. His humility and selflessness are a guiding beacon to any who aspire to walk the path as a true Paladin. The Alliance is fortunate indeed to have him watching over their shires and lands, for the vigilance that has given him his namesake is unwavering.

((Edited July 30, 2008. Changed some of it because the Draenei history is so sketchy. =/ ))

Aye, truth in what Noxtreal says, and I can think of nothing else, as he has once again covered everything I could say. Ignas is a pillar of light, and one of the more inspriring paladins in the Fabled Order.

I am glad to serve the Order as Avatar with one such as Ignas. I've known him for a long time, and we've had our disagreements, but so has everyone. I'm glad to call him friend.

I believe I served with him on Quel'danas in life. I didn't have the chance to get to know him any better then time had allowed, though. Not that it would've made a difference.

He helps, very much. He does not know how much - but good for me to have kind words from him. Talking helps, learning helps. Very busy - wish to talk more.

Always I feel I should be saying to him I am sorry, for so much. Maybe one day I will.

I often wonder how the old Draenei is doing...

A pity I had to disappear. I would of enjoyed getting to know Ignas better.

Always a solid member of the Order, from what I can recall.
