God...now I'm trying to remember the name of that undead warrior who was that notoriously bad back before BC came out. I did the same thing this guy did...I was so desperate to get a Strat run on my warlock that I took him as a tank...and the guy proceeded to go in with a two-hander and wipe us over and over until I finally quit in disgust.
Anyone else have any idea who I mean? I remember he started his own guild full of people who wouldn't listen to others' warnings, and got his cronies to give him moderator of the old lfg channel so that he could ban anybody he didn't like.

Rouslan. He was in Infection for awhile. Absolutely terrible.
Maybe it's the same guy.

Yes Rouslan is the one who did the two handed tanking (in his imagination, in game he only wiped you). Good stuff.

A very short while. So short I don't even remember it (aside from hearing about it).

I avoid tanking because I know I suck at it >_>

That's a shitty attitude to have for a warrior. If you suck at tanking start tanking until you're good at it.

It's hard when PuG's don't let me try for more than 2 minutes before they get frustrated and disband. If I was given a chance TO learn I would. But as it is all I'm stuck doing is taking 30 pieces of DIFFERENT advice from 10 people and having to attempt once every month or so. Serioulsy if you can get a group set up that will sit there and help me learn then do it! I'd love to learn how to tank so I could just tank instances to get my gear.

Again. Piss poor attitude. Also... you don't need to learn in instances. Grab a few friends and try with regular mobs. Let them go all out and learn how to hold them that way. Graduate to instances.
Considering you're only 64 you could always run some guildmates through the 60 dungeons in Azeroth. Find some mid-to-late 50s and hit up Scholomance, Stratholme, DM, etc.
Not only does everyone get to experience a little nostalgia, but you learn about basic aggro control, they get experience and loot. Everyone wins.

I'll heal for you if you want. I need the practice.

Best way to learn to tank is practice. Theory crafting is BS until you know the basics. Just find some friends that are willing to go with you into some instances (they dont need to be 70 etc just 5 mans) and mess around. Try BRD, you will learn more about tanking in there than any heroic.

Hated tanking BRD on my old server. At least the first part, where each group is like...6.
