Just a few questions about Ashkandi:

Who are the "brotherhood"
Who is "A.L."?

Someone get back to me on this please.

The Brotherhood is the some order of Knights.
A.L. stands for Anduin Lothar, and he was the leader of the Brotherhood.

Anduin Lothar was the Armsman of the Brotherhood of the Horse.

He was a Warrior and Regent Lord of Azeroth. When King Llane died, it was Lothar who lead the people of Stormwind across the Great Sea to Lordaeron, where he was the voice that formed the Alliance. As such, he was given full command of the armies, under Terenas.

Lothar, at 57 years, led the Alliance after a near decimation by the Horde, at Lordaeron's gate, and pushed them across the Highlands -- where he massacred the Burning Blade Clan -- and into the Burning Steppes, where he laid siege upon the Blackrock Spire.

He died in a duel with Orgrim DoomHammer, Chieftain of the Blackrock Orcs and Warchief of the Horde, when Orgrim rode out to meet him, and they clashed mano e mano infront of both the Orcs and Humans, onlooking in the fight.

Lothar's Right Hand was Turalyon, who went to Lead the Forces into Draenor, where he supposedly died (We'll see who's left in the expansion). Turalyon was witnessed to have picked up Lothar's shield to carry on the Alliance to invade the spire, but he left Ashkandi on the ground.

You can see a huge statue of Anduin Lothar in the Burning Steppes, near the Pillar of Ash, pointing directly to the Spire. THis is assumed to be the point where he fought and died against DoomHammer (Who thought killing their leader would destroy their morale and send them home, but instead severely pissed them off and made them lust for vengence. It turned him into a martyr).

The Blackrock Orcs have not taken it down, although with their power they easily could have. This, I believe, is because Lothar died in death in Honor. The Orcs, even if they're evil Blackrocks, respect how he died, and so they leave the statue.

Thanks Manus.

Good knowing that Doomhammer fought him and won in a duel.
