What do you think about cross-faction communication and interaction?

Garona, for example, was befriended by the Humans (before killing them), and Thrall communicated with Jaina. While we can't talk to each other in-game, we certainly can communicate with each other out of game. We could even use chat programs to communicate in real time.

With this, some people could (and would) become spys for the opposite team. Onyxia, for the win. They also could become "assassins" as well. Since you can't hurt your own fraction, someone could come up to an ill-reputed member of the opposite team, pay them, and kill the person they can't themselves.

I know this has to be happening now, as there is no way this could be an original idea. But what do you think about it? How would you RolePlay it? It doesn't make sense that someone would start speaking an enemy language without learning it first. Unless you're undead. Then speak common all the way. You can say "Zug Zug" with no problem, but your lips are too decayed to say "Cat"? No. Sorry Blizzard.

Do you, and/or your character, find cross-faction alliances go against the game? Etc etc etc

I think cross-faction interaction is great. It all depends on your character. If you're a bloodthirsty fanatical Alliance warrior, you aren't going to want to chat with the opposite faction, but there's always the interaction of fighting and killing.

However, if you're like Aendra, you don't care too much about anybody's race, so it's okay.

And Thorns and Roses has already had some Horde patronage, spy work mostly.

((The Immortalis guild was built to specifically RP cross-faction with a backstory of seeking the key to immortality for anyone that aligned with us who wanted to help work towards that goal....regardless of horde/alliance faction. We wanted to RP with the whole of Azaroth and not just half of it. So no, we do not think cross-faction alliances go against the game. One of our storylines had us aligned with a few alliance guilds here and there or at least holding a temporary truce at times as well as also holding a special loyalty to a certain paladin with a heart of gold and a chastity belt made of floss (*huggles Lovely*).

Danlily is a hunter. Her pet appears as a cheetah when she's on horde side, but when that cheetah is off doing our cross faction work, or interpretating for Clys and whoever the meeting is with, she appears in her natural form which is that of a night elf druidess. We are able to pull this off with poClys two-boxing with two accounts. We also have a private section on the guild's message board that we give access to our alliance friends to plot and arrange cross faction things.))
