For a variety of reasons, most of them IRL, I'll be leaving WoW soon. I don't know how large an impact this will make, but I thought it wouldn;t hurt to let people know. I haven;t decided if I'll be deleting my characters or just cancelling the account, but either way, I won't be in-game.

I'll probably still troll these forums, because I get bored at work. I like to write, so I may even continue writing things, but I don't know. Anyway, thank you, TNG. You've been good to me while I've been here.

As someone who has deleted more than her fair share of characters:

DON'T DO IT.

Just cancel. If it's RL issues keeping you from playing, you never know when those may clear up and you'll itch to come back. If you are just bored with the game, there's a new expansion coming out. If you decide to come back for that, you'll want your 70s so you can start on the new content straight away. If you never, ever come back, it doesn't hurt anything to leave them there.

But if you do stop playing, can I have your stuff? ;)

Just do what i did Cancel the account, you're charecters will stay there and if you decide to do come back to the game you won't have to worry about leveling up from level1 when WotLK comes out if you decide to buy it or come back. I'll miss you and i hope you troll the fourms still :D

It would turn out somewhat like my friend's wedding where the father was the minister and the rest of her friends all looked like Pagans and Satanists. Thrysta would be attempting to kill them or slice them open somehow and Ellsbeth would drone on and on for hours about piety and how the One True Path will take lovers that way. Mind you, Ells would only reside over the wedding if say Lascivious were to marry an Ogre and convert the Ogre into a civilised being. The Blood Elves are beyond redemption.
