The young elf priest, Avesa, caught him at his usual spot. He was taking in the sight when she showed up handing him a letter written in what looked to be the taurens hand writting. Barke snorted as he read the letter. The tauren wanted to meet him outside the gate. Said he had news about hsi friend Rhowen. He didn't believe it one bit. He had them searching the other continent for her. He saw her himself in Stormwind a few days ago. The day before she stood him up.....

He was certain this was a trap of some sort. The tauren was looking for a fight and I fight he would get. He sent the young priest away with a glare and made for the bank. He loaded his chest armor, shoulders, helm and boots into his deposit box. And took out a pair of daggers and his fist weapons. It was custom for his family to show their scars to their enemy before a fight. He presented each scar proudly as he walked out the front gate of Stormwind.

He made his west fromt he gate to where the tauren had said. There he was waiting. With more than himself. It was exactly as Barke had expected. A group of elves were with the tauren. A warrior, hunter, two rogues and another druid. He unsheathed his swords and waited. They would be making the first move. He was ready for what they had in store. He had nothing left to lose. All his loved ones were already gone.

The warrior came first. Swinging his two handed sword in fast arcs. Barke easily dodged and sidestepped each swing. He would slip his blades in where he could but the heavy armor stopped most his attacks before they could do more damage. They continued their slow dance until Barke found his opening. The sword passed over his head harmlessly as Barke slipped under the blade sending Mirah's Song into the warriors arm. She cried out and tried to back offbut Barke was on her in a heartbeat. Slash after slash landed onto the unfortunate warrior. One of the rogues charged forward while Barke was mutilating the warrior.

The rogue was using swords. His fighting style was similar to his own but Barke had a lot more experience with the style than the other rogue. He played defensive for a while easily parrying attacks. An arrow flew by his head. He barely moved out of the way in time to avoid it. The rogue took the opportunity to attack the vulnerable elf. Barke was suddenly on his heels backtracking against the attacks. The elf came in with a overhead swing. Barke punched out at the blade. It connected with his fist but instead of cutting through his arm there was a loud clang as the rogues blade his something metal. Mirah's song came forward cutting the left arm off. Following through with that attack Barke went into his deadly spin. Silent Fang leading the way he cut through the elf. Another arrow flew by interupting him.

The rogue already lay at his feet in more than one piece. There was blood everywhere from just two fights. His breathing was becoming heavy. Two more arrows passed by him. Something caught him in the chest sending him backwards. He lost the grip on Mirah's song which landed out of his reach. He caught his breath and moved away fromt he next volley of arrows. The druid came at him as a cat. He spun Silent Fang around cutting the left paw off the beast. His left fist came came in following the sword and the sound of metal rang out through the woods as his fist connected with the druids head. The claw raked Barke's side as the druid hit the ground unconscious. He turned to face the hunter again right as an arrow caught him in wrist of his right arm. He dropped Silent Fang with a howl. A dagger appeared in his left.

He threw the blade out at the hunter. The blade hit the hunter in the chest knocking him off his feet. Barke's other fist weapon apeared in his hand as he charged at the fallen hunter. He felt a sharp pain in his back. Then another in his side. The other rogue cackled at him. Adrenaline rushed through him and he turned ripping both blades through his skin. With a right hook the rogue was taken off his feet. The two blades of the fist weapon pulled the rogues face off. The rogue landed a few feet away from Barke who turned back to the hunter. He was up again an arrow already in flight. The arrow hit Barke in the chest and he stumbled backwards.

He could feel the poison of the rogues blades taking affect. He could see the hunter fitting another arrow to his bow. He could see the damned tauren smirking at him. That smirk. His eyes flared as the hunter let loose another arrow. A dagger flew out of Barke's right hand as the arrow connected with his chest again. The dagger flew straight past the hunter and into the forehead of the druid. Barke laughed as he fell back. The tauren looked suprised for a moment before his brain registered what happened. The tauren fell heavily to the ground and rolled down the hill into the water.

Barke could feel his blood flowing freely from his body. There was a burning sensation from the rogues poison. All he felt was pain for a few moments.

Then he felt no more.....

*edit* ((This is open. If anyone cares to see the body head west when you leave SW and its by the river. Post what you'd like. Just ya know....keep it within reason. You've all been wonderful.))

Somewhere, somewhen in what is sometimes called the Twisting Nether there is a place that can appear as whatever it desires to the spirits that dwell in its mysteries for eternity.

To one spirit it appears as a vast forest, full of game. It is there she hunts, as a ghostly white wolf.

But now there is another apparition haunting the spirit woods, a panther large and sleek and strong. He passes through the plane wilth swift silence and graceful power.

Often the other spirits of the Nether see the wolf and the panther together on the hunt, and they marvel at such a sight.

And sometimes, when the firmament is thin and the veil between the Nether and the solid plane is pulled back, the denizens of Aeroth can, if so blessed, catch a glimpse of the ghostly white wolf and prowling black panther as they flitter through the dark forests like a whisper on the wind.

And at times when all is quiet, one can hear the distant eerie howl of the wolf, followed by the low rumble of the panther answering her call.

(( It was an honour and a pleasure gaming with you my friend. Drop by here from time to time as I do, if only to say hello))

((Meh...I loved ya like aoms ecreepy rogue uncle Barke...))
Celcia snapped up, looking to the sky. Clouds blocked out the sky, a few drops of rain falling. IT continued, until Celcia felt it. A spirit ascending to the after life.
The clouds cleared.
The stars shone.
A shooting star shoot across the sky.
She wept.

((I'm sorry I couldn't go through with it. Really am just frustrated with a lot of things. No one change any posts you made. I'll post something that hopefully makes sense in a bit.))

Celuna wandered out of Stormwind, her mining gear stowed away in her backpack. No matter how many times she checked some of the local mines, it always seemed that she could find a bit more copper in them if she looked hard enough.

She followed the cliffs outside of the city westward as she always did, wondering if she'd be able to find enough to make that new piece of armor she'd just gotten the pattern for.

Her thoughts drifted off to Barke, as they seemed to always do when there wasn't anything more urgent on her mind. It'd been nearly a week since the incident in the Park, and she hadn't seen him. And though she hated admitting it, she missed him terribly.

With all the turmoil surrounding Lovely's poisoning and her disappearance, Barke was the one friend Celuna had that she completely trusted.

Celuna spotted a body in the grass below as she made her way through the rocky mountainous area. The body was some night elf male, with matted purple hair so close to Barke's color, it made her heart stop.

Normally Celuna ignored the bodies that littered Elwynn Forrest, but that hair...

Careful not to cause an avalanche, she made her way down to the base of the cliff. Rogue clothing...exactly the kind of leather Barke wore...

Those scars...

Time slowed to a hault. Celuna rushed to the body though in her mind it took hours. The air was quicksand; it impeded her movements, it didn't let her breath, she crumbled to the ground and turned the body over.

The quicksand air sucked the last air out of her lungs, and she collapsed on top of his body. Her Barke.

He couldn't be dead.

Hours later (or was it merely seconds?) she lifted her head and howled, before the quicksand pulled her down again.

Days later (minutes?) she pulled herself up to a standing position. She was a paladin. Paladins could resurrect.

And by the Light, if anyone deserved to be brought back...

Celuna pulled herself together and prayed like she had never prayed before. She pictured the rock, the paladins rock. She was a being of Light, it filled her, it guided her, and she could control it.

With a flash, she felt her power drain, and Barke appeared before her, wounded, nearly dead...but breathing.

Time flowed again. Celuna's heart beat again. She healed him, and then rushed to him, hugging him tightly to her.

His words made no sense to her.

But he was alive.

He stood shakily, and she stood as well, holding him up, pulling his arm around her shoulders. They walked back to Stormwind.

He was alive.

Thank the Light.

.

((I'll leave it to Barke to explain...he accepted the rez, so this is actual events, not me just being hopeful ))

He could feel himself being pulled away. No. He did not want to go back but at the same time. He needed to go back. He watched the wolf as he slolwy faded. He nuzzled the wolf a sad look in its eyes.

He was almost gone when he returned. He was back. His left eye was clouded over and he was blind but he was still here with her. He pounced playfully at the wolf.

--------------------------

He gasped for air. His body hurt. His wounds hurt more. He was alive. His eyes opened and as he glances around. His vision was off. His left eye glowed it usual golden color but his right was more of a silver light. He was blind in that right eye. He could smell something familiar as well. It was Celuna.

He turned to face her slowly. She was healing his wounds the best she could. He still hurt. Seems she was the one that brought him back. He smiled at her and she embraced him. His face twisted in pain but he did not stop her. She seemed too happy he was back.

Using her as support they made their way into Stormwind. On the bridge he heard a familiar voice.

"You should find her."

He shook his head and ignored the voice. Figured he was just hearing things or it was from the pain he was in. He sat on the stairs looking around slowly. Seemed no one else was really around. He gave a shrug. It was probably for the better. He let out a sigh and closed his eyes.

In his dream he saw through the eyes of a panther. He could see the wolf. They were hunting together at the moment. Barke did not understand but at the same time did not care. He could see her still and that was all he really wanted anyway.

For now...he was alive.
