Beloren - My new elf hunter

I know jack about the Blood Elf hunters lore, that and Beloren needs a concept or family members :P I call upon your help to make my new character not suck.

If my character wasn't in such deep shit right now I'd offer his family name, but.. All the slots are taken unless you wanna make your hunter a blacksmith and think of some elaborate way to have come back from the dead.

I just use certain words and combine them for a last name.

Or anything like that will work.

Lelea comes from a family of rangers, by the way. If you want to be a Sunfury, I'd have no problem with you being a cousin or something.

Well, considering the Knights are pretty new and are working to get to a position in the social ladder above the Farstriders, you could easily despise them.

Another thing to consider is incorporating your character's spec into your backstory. Like, my hunter's RPed as an excellent marksman with little to no expertise in training animals, so, she's MM specced, working into SV.

One major thing to look at is that, aside from mages and priests, the rangers (farstriders) are/were as high as it got as far as respect within Blood Elf society.

My suggestion? Go through the BE hunter quests. They'll teach you what a good amount of the society's outlook towards hunters.

You can read up on Sylvanus Windrunner's backstory on wowwiki, since everything she did as a ranger is a depiction of what the other rangers at the time were like. They were the guarding force of Silvermoon until the scourge invaded, and now they're something of a secondary force to the Blood Knights because of the perceived 'failures' of them not being able to fend off Arthas.

And... just follow Vranesh around in Silvermoon and watch how he interacts at the rangers he sees training in the city.

As far as family goes, though... I've been thinking my character Dyiana should have some living family out there somewhere, though none of them would have known her as 'Dyiana', and she wouldn't know who the heck they were. Your choice, though.

Cool thanks for the tips on the lore for the rangers, thats the main thing I wanted. Ill do some research. I am fine with being related to someone, any contacts make the game more fun anyways... if someone is interested just let me know. He is only like level 6 right now hehe.

Thats almost what I did. But take out the Nym part and throw in a Bronze Dragonflight angle, and anything can be BS'ed.

Hmm.. you know I don't think we have ever really had any serious interaction between those two/three beyond the odd greeting in town. Maybe some possibilities there.

I had a proto-plot going with two friends from another server, but they seem to have bailed on me. One was Aphraelle's sister who'd disappeared with her mother and been found and adopted by tauren (the character was a hunter), and the other was her adoptive tauren brother. It's mentioned in passing in Aphraelle's bio. I haven't used it since, and as I say the originals have bailed, so Beloren could be Aphraelle's long lost brother if you like. Easy enough to change "sister" to "brother" in the bio, after all...

Physically Aphraelle is very pale - her surname is Winterlight - so it would help if Beloren were as well; if he's very dark, he might be of... um... questionable parentage? :D Or something else. Anyhow let me know if that suits and we can talk.
