Blizzard's been having problems with their ISP service lately... they went down for about 45 minutes not too long ago due to an "internal networking issue".

That and when I first started playing on TN, I suddenly got booted off and couldn't log back in to just that one server for something like 3 days. It turned out that there was some hub that was connecting the majority of Northern California and parts of Oregon that had to be reset, and like typical ISP companies, no one bothered to look into it and they spent 2 and a half of those days telling probably several thousand people "It's a problem on your end. Reset your router, and if that doesn't work, reset it again, and if that doesn't work, reset it again, ad infinite". On the third day, it got fixed finally, and a Blizzard GM acknowledged that it had been a non-player side issue.

Wow. Blizzard screwed something up big time if nobody can get into instances.

And so then they do an unscheduled shutdown without telling anybody.

And then before that, the world server goes down and half the population drops of the face of the planet (My little TN population warning in Firefox went from FULL: Queued to Low in just half a second).

It feels like some sort of event of epic proportions in-game. Like you have 10 minutes to say goodbye to your families, get those last few quest items... and then you fall off the face of the planet and wonder where you went oh so wrong.

I was waiting in the midst of the bosses when they got there. Fear Bomb + New Respec to Destro + Seed of Corruption + Rain of Fire = a shitload of dead Alliance.

I let the bosses tank. It was pure comedy. Glad to see all the others who came to the call for help too. I wish the server had stayed up though. :(
