Faelen

((I'll be using this little post to start with, and as I create more along Faelen's line of history surrounding the ring given to him, I'll add it here, from random thoughts, to events and conversations, depending on what occurs. Feel free to comment, both on the plot/fiction and the writing style/grammar. I will note that I am NOT perfect, and I tend to mix my first and third person sometimes, so don't hate me. ;p Also of note, I plan on experimenting with different writing styles, poetry, etc. Enjoy the read!))

Of all the mysteries in the world of Azeroth, the one most relevant to Faelen were those secrets surrounding the ring of Archmage Antonidas, given to him at the fall of Dalaran during the Third War. Only in recent months have these questions begun to bubble forth from the depths of his mind, as if faint whispers had begun to drift from the ring itself to inspire his curiosity. A recent visit with Xenaken within the Undercity proved to be very useful in beginning the process necessary to answer the many questions Faelen had. What was discovered was that the ring itself worked as an amplifier for magic, enhancing ones ability to manipulate magic. Such a tool would have been of great use to a young apprentice-mage of Dalaran.
But to Faelen? What other secrets lie dormant within the mysterious ring, the ever-familiar eye of Dalaran staring back at him with a demanding stare.
‘What am I to do with it?’
Ever since his being risen as Forsaken, he had walked the Warrior’s path. No more could he call on the nodes below the earth, or ask the winds to come to him, or the fire to rise from within, or the sea to answer his call. He lived with this apparent sacrifice, a side-effect of his being resurrected as an undead. All he could do was watch. Though out of all that he lost, he could still See. He could read the patterns of energy; he could dodge magical traps and barriers. This, all in all, gave the Forsaken many advantages. So he could see the patterns within this ring, an intricate web of great detail. However he was not experienced in enchanted items of such high make, and could not decipher what it contained. It eluded him for years so far, and all he could guess was that when the time was right, the rings true intentions would be known.
Destiny would come, sudden and precise.
