No, this isn't about Death Knights the class.

There's been an increasing number of RP griefers in Silvermoon City. I've been screenshotting them as they come and go but I won't post them up unless asked of. However, most of them that have been popping up have been from the guild The Death Knights. (http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/guild-info.xml?r=Twisting+Nether&n=The+Death+Knights&p=1)

I've been trying to put in reports on them, but with it being the holiday season, Blizzard has been taking 4+ hours to even get on tickets and so most of my tickets have not gone through.

Just keep an eye out for them. If you're Alliance, kick their asses. If you're Horde, report them as they cause trouble.

Would you mind showing those screen-shots? I wouldn't mind lending a gank or ten to the cause.

I'll keep a look out for them also.

I agree go ahead and post screen shots. The cartel would most likely be happy to assist. And I think those of us who tend to run best on visuals (like myself) would be happy for something to keep an eye out for. :)

They're a very small guild actually run by a hunter named Jechasse. They only have two 70s, so if the TNG community really wants them demolished the Cartel and our allies will have no trouble doing that I'm sure. Still, how many people are we talking about here? Do we know if it's a guild problem in general or are there just some specific members who are problems?

Of their 18 members they do have a few people I wouldn't mind seeing dead: Cowdung and Highglander for example.

I don't think there should be any shame in posting screenshots (except private whispers and guild chat... not that I don't do it sometimes, but I'm careful with it). If they're talking in /s or /general then it's public behavior.

Stupidly enough I didn't get a screenshot of the two members that were bothering Feralmoon, some Ignis Divine people and Myself. But I do have the screenshot of their guild leader, who while the large group of people later in the night ((Sulajin, Skafloc, Evanthe, Jeedup, Izrail and I cannot remember the names of the other)) he used a steamtonk to start blowing things up, then came into the middle of the group and started dancing before saying the line below.

The two Blood Elves from earlier in the day ((Antipex and Alastin I believe)) were just as annoying, coming into the middle of the group and dancing naked, following people when they left, saying just generally stupid things-the usual.

I'll add him to the Cartel's Blacklist...though our hunting ability has been compromised by the holidays. We'll get on it in a week or so though. You said there were other guildies there as well though? I'll take it on your word, but I just want to know if it was just the guild leader or if there were several guildies there.

At the time of the screenshot it was just the guild leader, but I am pretty damn sure the Blood Elves we dealt with before him were just as problematic and from the same guild. I'll keep my eye out for their members and just try and get screenshots of them causing trouble as it happens.

Next time they're griefing let me know. I have my own unique way of getting rid of those types and it usually always works. /wink

Why does the thought of this both frighten and intrigue me on many levels?

Don't worry Jeedup, it's nothing he hasn't done to you.

lets not put a hit on the whole guild with the cartel just yet... lets make sure that we separate griefers from non-griefers (if there is any). A full guild hit is one of the things that is making the cartel look bad to some guilds.

I can't grief them, but I sure can make an effort not to heal them. Ever.

And if you see a few of their lower level members out in the wild, I have a 60 human rogue in the cartel that needs to be dusted off. Teelia would love camping some troublemakers.

I agree.

You have solid proof about their guild leader, Sowell. Let me ((or others)) get more solid proof about their guild. I am sure that with their guild leader being taken down by the Cartel fairly often the message will get across either way.

Guys be careful. I think I remember seeing recruitment threads in General Chat for the guy who runs The Death Knights and if I remember correctly he is pretty excited to run a lore-based guild. Keraph was there talking to him too about it. He's also the brother of an avid RPer on this server -- at least the guy who was doing recruitment which I thought he said he was the guild leader.

So before you go super crazy ... talk to them about the whole thing. Might be another misunderstanding.

Rand_Shea
12-31-2007, 08:10 PM
Wait... is that the guy who was recruiting in Hellfire?

He got really pissy when someone asked him how someone was supposed to 'know' they'd become a Death Knight, since really... you wouldn't know. Even Arthas in the beginning didn't know he was being set up, though he fulfilled his role willingly in the end. According to WoW-wiki, anyway.

All well and good if this guy wants a guild of his own that's Lore-based, but to what end does it serve to grief other people RPing? Especially if you're the brother of one of the more popular roleplayers?

If he keeps that up, eventually he's going to find himself KOS'd by nearly everyone who would have otherwise been willing to interact with him and his guild and help them build that guild up... and possibly come under the scrutiny of a GM who promotes RP and will do something to reprimand him for that behavior.

Report them as needed, and/or kill them if you'd like and if you can... just don't expect a lot to happen to them until January 3rd or 4th, whenever the majority of GM's get off their vacation time and get over their New Years hangovers.

RPers don't tell people to "shut the %*#@ up", dance in the middle of a group of RPers, and be generally disruptive. I sent him my RP upkeeping macro and he simply told me to "QQ more" and /ignore'd me.

I think he said "Fuck the shit up"

"Shut" usually doesn't get censored.
Then again, the truth of the matter is that he just held shift and pressed a bunch of numbers, and neither cursed or was censored.

I don't have swearing bleeped on WoW. That's just him typing there.

Well, if they continue to be a problem, just either ignore them entirely, treat them as though they don't exist ever, or sic the Alliance on them. Me, I just RP with them just to spite them. If they find that they can't get me to go OOC, and I continue to RP with them (as in, Xiphus thinks that you are a nutcase who had just escaped from some asylum from some far off place, or is a suicidal maniac who wants to have his neck snapped), they tend to just blow their heads off and leave seething, which is always something really nice to look at.

At first I thought you said "Blood Knights" @ o I was thinking 'What the hell? How'd they suddenly go so insane?'

I'd talk to them first, definitely. Though he seems like a jerk to me, perhaps there's a way to do things in a way that would cause less annoyance in the long run. Making jerks angry can lead to them just being more of a jerk.

Then if he doesn't listen we eat him.

Truthfully though, I usually do what Xiphus said when encountering griefers... only according to my character, which can get rather interesting if it's Ban. >_>;; Generally they just get freaked out and uncomfortable rather than angry.

I spoke to Jechasse today.

I've got a screenshot of the conversation, but the latter half was all split up by some (very silly) party chat.

I usually wouldn't post whispers, but everybody has wanted me to speak to him. So here. His guild isn't an RP griefing guild, but he didn't sound suprised that people were causing trouble. If he does continue to cause trouble, say so in here.

EDIT: And sorry Solenev, but it looks like he is definately not running an RP guild.

[17:15:48] To [Jechasse]: You were apparently disrupting RP in Silvermoon the other day, and people from your guild have been causing trouble.
[17:16:06] [Jechasse] whispers: and
[17:16:23] To [Jechasse]: Well, it sounds like you're running a RP griefing guild?
[17:16:30] [Jechasse] whispers: no way
[17:16:48] To [Jechasse]: No? But you don't deny trying to disrupt RP?
[17:17:03] [Jechasse] whispers: i tried to distrup the rp yeah i know
[17:17:12] To [Jechasse]: And?
[17:17:38] [Jechasse] whispers: and what? lol..
[17:18:11] To [Jechasse]: I'd try to avoid doing that, in future. And warn your guild not to do it. You're making a bit of a reputation for yourself.
[17:18:33] [Jechasse] whispers: kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
[17:18:45] To [Jechasse]: Thankyou.

Oh snap. >_> Sounds like a definite Jerkface to me (note it's capitalized). I'll keep a lookout.

I always get a kick out of the people who don't think the RP communities are as big as they are and think they can get away with a lot like that. It's like they think the whole "RP" after the server name is there for nothing I guess. XD

I just got in a "discussion" with a friend I mention in another thread about why his wanting to move to this server from his PVP server would not be such a good idea as he didn't seem the type for RPor for handling it well should an RPer approach him in the game. *gasp*

... and then he asked me what RP was.... and then he replied "People actually do that?" >_>;;;

That seals it for me. I'll be back with screenshots, though this guild is quite small so don't expect quite the brutal beat down you saw with Freelance Police.

things like this will get a hit guild wide. Keep tabs on em and send it to the higher ranking cartel members, us lower ones can do nothing but let them know whats going on >_>

If people of that guild start complaining, tell them to take their grievances to their guild leader, ask that he apologize publicly for being a royal dick, and to agree to stop... or do the more effective thing and /gquit.

That and... claim RP reasons. They're 'Death Knights' after all, you're just making them live up to their guild tag... by making them dead.

Or...

Being that Arthas is the upcoming supervillain (and a Death Knight) of the WoW universe with the expansion coming out next year, you're putting forth your efforts RP wise to eliminate his agents/people who show signs of becoming like him and thus being a bane on all things living (or sentient and unliving in the case of the Forsaken). Culling the Scourge, after all, is the major goal for both Horde AND Alliance. That and who wants a wannabe-Baron Rivendare running around outside of Stratholme?
