I realize there is a general dislike of the BG's among roleplayers, or some roleplayers I should say. I think it stems from the fact that they generally attract players who arent as RP minded let us say-

What I am proposing is attempting a RP take over of the BGs tommorrow at 1:00 pm server time. Players playing the BGs for fun- yes fighting and killing one another- but not taking it too seriously and having a good time.

I have chosen Arathi Basin. It is one of the lesser que'd and I have been attempting to attract some interest in the resources there.

Yes there will be war and bloodshed. There will be victors and the not so lucky. Team efforts and strategy will still be rewarded.

I hope this is a cross-bracket event!

I hope to see you on the Battlefield!

With some interest, I would like to be able to continue having BG-RP days and times. So please, starting at 1:00 PM tommorrow- Sunday- 5/28/06 let the queing of Arathi Basin Begin!

People are going to queue the hell out of AB this weekend because it's AB weekend. But don't expect to see many roleplayers anyway.

You'd likely get a better response organizing a world PvP event or something.

I like BG's; I'm just sick of the queue times, so I don't bother anymore. And AB's not one that Fallacy is fond of. Too many broken alleigances.

It's called an RP outfit. :P But a lot of my friend complain because I never use the damn thing. I BG too much for them. But I'm too poor for an epic mount by any other means. :cry:

I am confused by the responses here.

This is a World PvP event. It takes place in Arathi Basin.

It may be an AB Weekend but the only people in AB are level 60. There isnt anyone else there at all, RPer or PvPer, or me, the RPvPer.

The point of this excercise was to eliminate a Que time- everyone shows up and plays at the same time. It failed miserably but there's always next weekend and I will try again.

Alucian, if this had worked, people would not hate you because you are 42, they would love you because you had que'd and actually gotten AB to spawn. Secondly, I am trying to break away from this attitude that BG's are the playground of the elitists. If the TNG community would show up and play at the same time I think it would be a blast.

Anyways-

This failed miserably. I will try again next weekend. May push the time back- say maybe AB on Sunday at 6:00 PM?

Alliance don't queue Battlegrounds unless they have a full set team for something.

If they do not have 15, they will only queue Warsong
Even on AB Weekend.

It is both sad and pathetic. I hate them all for these actions.

Oh, I know all about RP outfits. :wink: I'm sporting the full Tier 1 Twill and Tier 2 Crotchet sets among other things. :)

As for EnheilRas, yeah most alliance are sissy-mary's. I log on and queue, grouped or not. I just don't end up solo queueing much because I'm in 2 guilds, well known in the Epug community and usually don't even get a chance to queue without getting tells for pvp. I can't complain though. PvP on alliance is mostly made up of honor farmers who won't pvp unless they feel they can win in 10 minutes and requeue.

I like my situation: two 60's, one is pretty decked out and just needs some AB rep till I'll feel he's complete; other one I'm hoping to grab rank 11 and that's it. Then I'll just hop between the two depending on who I want to play at the time. Good Times.

I hope the new pvp gear changes get people out of the big instances and into the BG's and world PvP. Only time will tell.

I've never been in an Epug game where they've /afk'd out. Not saying I don't believe you, just saying I haven't been there.

The real question is, who is Epug? I don't even really know. I use the "Epug" channel so does that make me Epug? If so then just about everyone you see in a 60 bg from alliance is Epug.

There are some questional people though that are really just honor farming and I think I'm going to be staying away from them going forward.

I'm out of town right now so I've just been getting info from the forums and talking with a couple of RL friends with toons on TN.
