Thanks Fall. At their core Alana and Las are really similar. But I created Alana to be different from anything I've done before. The OOC channel I never joined simply because I don't care for them, not to be unsocialable or hide. :-) That's how my RP rolls!

It's gotten rather ridiculous, IMHO. If it's not hanging out in Silvermoon as/around half-naked animated Elves, it's endless plotting and backstabbing against other members of the Horde, or "Oh woe is me, what will I do????.... What is my DESTINY?!???" stories.

But the Grim in particular... no offense, but most of the stuff I hear out of them now isn't about killing the Alliance or plotting to kill the Alliance, it's about plotting to backstab eachother or just acting generally like highschool girls.

Hell, just yesterday? I was spat on by two different Blood Elves on two separate occasions. Called a cow by one and a lesser being by another. Got into a fight with one Blood Elf that refused to be hurt or even admit he lost in a fight. One that was stalking another elf to get to her friend-an elf-and kill him.

Business is booming for Dio as a Detective, let me tell you.

There's more drama and backstabbing going on on a daily basis than you see in a whole season of Bold and the Beautiful.

EDIT: Oh, and then there was the high-school-esque cat fight, too. With open-handed slapping and everything.

Hell, just yesterday? I was spat on by two different Blood Elves on two separate occasions. Called a cow by one and a lesser being by another.

That...and the introduction of Blood Elves. The sight of jiggly, animated female Elf characters has mesmerized folks attention like a laser light on the wall does to a cat.

it's all a matter of perspective. sure you might be hunting down alliance. but who sees it? the Grim raise entire towns and cities. never see Sanctuary there. as far as i can see there is not Alliance guild with the same tabard and another name meaning "Grim" running around. it's not a stretch for anyone to feel Sanctuary is at best an Alliance sypathizer and at worst outright traitors. especially by Grim standards.

First, we cannot do anything about our armor, the GAME makes female belfs look slutty.

Second, if you do not like the fucking elves, gtfo of their home city? Im not saying dont go there at all, but half the people that are bitching are there every night, watching, listening, and being assholes right back at the random elves about town.

Third, as to my elf, She has two toons that she cares for enough to die for, the rest of the Grim she will do what she needs to help, even the ones she HATES (emmons mainly). Just because you see me standing on a street talking with another elf or two, does not mean im cybering. It means Im having a discussion relevant to MY character. IF im using say, then Im doing so on purpose to let some dirt out for someone like Dio to hear if he or an agent is around. If im just standing there talking in party, it means im whispering quietly to the people Im with about the topic at hand. IF my character is doing something naughty, its not in plain site, its somewhere else where those things should happen. I did not get to level 60 by cybering my way there, I got there by fucking shit up and burning bodies (sometimes my own but im a healing pally what can I do).

Fourth, Kiara started off a bit rude to others but that lasted a short time. I tried to play her "racism" off as someone that didn't know better, but was intent on learning about other races. Yes she has always been a flirtatious character, but she is hardly a bitch. If someone is nice to her, than she is nice to them. The rampant racism against Blood Elves infuriates her, and while she is doing her best to make her kind not as rude to people, she will not sit there and let people rip her and her race with no provocation. So practice what you preach I suppose it what Im saying. If you dont like elves, then rp it, but dont be an ass unless you want the claws coming out and the opinion of your character and your characters race (if they all tend to lean that way) to be affected.

Fifth, As to the "Love Story Soap Opera" going down in the Grim. It started off as something small, but blossomed into a story involving Lascivious and the Lich King. The catfight between myself and Zelaine last night was regarding this matter. It was done in /say on purpose since it was an argument in a public place and not close whispers (Kia) "Ill kill you Zelaine" (Z) "What, speak up, I cant hear you!"... My character sees herself as one of the root causes to Lasc going off the deep end, and is trying to fix things. That includes having been trying to get the Grim off each others backs, even at the extent of her taking most of the abuse. The story is progressing, and Lasc is still able to do what she planned for her ooc/IC reasons, and the infighting is dying down. But the story is still there.

So get off our backs, and gtfo there and RP on this RP/PVP server. Our RP is almost as dated it seems as the rest of the peoples "Doom and Gloom" rp. Oh, I hate everyone and everything, Doom! Doom! DOOOOOM! When the gates of Silvermoon are kicked in, my chracter will be right there healing the defenders and fighting as best her level 60 ass can, wearing as little armor as the GMs have seen fit to give me.

Whether or not you have ranks that allow people to kick Alliance ass now, doesn't stop what happened in the past. Nothing is more annoying than creating an event and getting eighteen in character responses from the same guild saying, "EW PERVERTS" or "JERKS AND WARBRINGERS!" as a bump here on this forum. Yeah that's why my gripe. People are saying that they love the social RP but they would like to do some pvp events. Sanctuary is a big guild full of great Rpers. It's frustrating when a huge event gets a post from one of the officers saying, "This is not condoned by Sanctuary and we want nothing to do with this." Sanctuary's not alone.

You've never seen me dance. Blink gets out of your stuns fast and counterspell stops shields in mid-air and leaves you hoping your hammer crits 'cause you're stuck with no other spell schools. But since Malethia never wears clothes anyway, she can just burn. Essentially, you'd have to catch me first, but Q is never going to challenge Malethia in game or OOCly. Not gonna happen. If he's going to cut her, it'll be IC storytold only, since she'll be wearing nothing but a strapless dress, and he won't cast a single spell, just rip out her heart with his bare hands, or convince someone else to mind control her into drowning Cessily. Hmm, Thrysta was ever so obedient last time...

The Grim is sucking into the vortex of emo drama. The only time that people talk in guild chat is to respond to belf drama. I have attempted several times to generate RP, but they don't respond. Yeah Abric, publicly calling this shit out. Blood Moon Rising is more multicultural and badass than the Grim right now.

I find that I'm feeling I need to avoid ever talking in guild chat because it's going to be assumed that it's belf drama. I don't know if I haven't noticed your attempts to generate RP, or if I've been totally engrossed in my own things at the time, which certainly happens, but that's definitely depressing.

It certainly doesn't help that any time any belf says anything in guild, whether it's about the weather, or how nicely this Alliance town is burning, someone will be guaranteed to chew them out and start the fighting. I know Syr and I and probably most of the officers have spent a lot of time sending tells to people telling them to just chill the hell out already, and the tells generally aren't going to other belfs.

Maybe Lasc should just require Belfs not be allowed to talk in guild chat. Q sure wouldn't care, heh.

This kind of conflict is annoying, but I'm not sure there's an easy solution, short of taking problems out of the public eye and trying to sort them out.

Oh well, at least I'm still getting lovings from the Draenei in here.

- Las' EMO. ha ha, Visant. Las is/was on the verge of having a mental break down which has led to her current condition. and Las didn't go soapy until Lovely fucked her up. she just pushed her over the ledge. bitch.

- Not supporting events. i have never told anyone not to go to an event. i cant even remember saying the Grim dont support something. i may have, but if i did, i challenge anyone to find more than one example. pretty much any event listed here goes on our calendar and our GMOTD.

- Sanctuary patrols. i told Skumm, my then PVP coordinator to talk to Dio and tell him I pledged the Grim to his patrols. i think Dio quit Sanctuary the next day, so i dont think Skumm ever talked to anyone else. i did it under the guise of him listening for any information on the where abouts of one Kromag so i could kill him. i also wanted to get our members out there more. and i thought intermingling with Sanctuary could be a fun way to do that. also with the Ghants who are more the Grim's style but they kinda disappeard all at once. i have a knew PVP coordinator, i'll see she follows up.

I don't think that Hellista and Shigana are alike. Hellista seems crazy, but is actually one of the more sane characters on the server. I think Shigana or Hellista either one would probably get angered by the other and then the death coils would fly.

I adore the storylines and in-game actions of the toons listed above.

of the Silvermoon crew.

Yeah, if Lasc can keep out of my fear, then she has a good chance of beating me. Fear = Win. I'd be happy to duel you sometime, regardless. Its always fun to practice, and if you do beat me, it helps me learn how to fight better.

It really does frustrate me that BE characters are being blamed for so much of this. Out of the gate, a good number of BEs are arrogant and xenophobic. That's how it really should be. But now that so many are higher level, with time and experience under their belts, they've changed for the better from being outside Quel'thalas. Now, it's the rest of the Horde who's being xenophobic, by treating us as we were when we started out, instead of who we are now.

I think Cessily's an excellent example of this. When she started out, she was pissy and racist. Malethia hated her too. But Cessily changed, has calmed down (a bit) and isn't (as) racist as she was before. What ticks me off, both IC and OOC, is that whenever she says anything at all, a good chunk of the rest of the Grim take the opportunity to stir the pot back up.

So, IC and OOC? Stop being such pricks and let us change. Quit treating us like the stereotype, and we'll quit being shoved back into it to defend ourselves. It's a two-way street.

And most of my "90210" RP is kept here and in private conversations. I don't take it to guild chat - unless I'm drunk, apparently. That's because I know that it's not for everyone, but I like it as a way to expand my character beyond the one in armor.

I justified the way Sanctuary got involved with the patrols as, if a city was attacked, Sanctuary only killed KoS guys while the other people in attendance killed whomever they liked. I ran this by people before I started the patrols and everybody was just dandy with it. But then the night of the first patrol there was a bunch of drama about how we attacked Theramore, Sanctuary killed only KoS guys, and I was eaten out ICly for an issue I thought had already been made sense of OOCly.

It's one of those things Sanctuary is very "my way or the highway" about, and personally I never understood why there was an issue with it when people in Sanctuary have free reign to enter cities and kill KoS people much the same way that Nojinbu did when he was in the guild.

I'd like to run the patrols myself again and not have any bars keeping people from marching into cities, but then, I get the feeling Sanctuary would just refuse to get involved in that anyway. And so the only way the patrols will work with everybody able to get involved would be to put specific rules about not killing non-KoS people and not entering cities or towns. And I think that would stop a whole bunch of people bothering going.

how can you patrol without fighting?! when the Grim patrol somewhere we typically just guarding questers in the hot spots. we also say in localdef that Grim are patrolling for X amount of time and if you need help call on us. i cant tell you many appreciative comments we've got on the defense channel. or how many new members we get for it. all the suggestions i made to Vilmah as Alana in the one meeting i went to are how the Grim got to be as large as it is. Get out there. Do things. People notice and they will come to you. There are 100 players in the Grim. PLAYERS not characters. and thats with me booting a few every week. But we weren't always this large. their first step to world domination starts with a single convert.

Here's my usual justification for things...

If they're KoS, or they attack someone without being attacked first, I get to Nomnomnom on their face. It works for some city stuff, you just have to be careful to make sure that you're not tagging people your 'bait' attacked first. Usually it takes a while to chum the waters....

Also, it gets confusing as hell in mass city raids. x_x

Some of our more actively world PvP members will /stare at alliance to see if they attack them, and get their daily does of PvP. If the alliance attacks first, I don't have a problem with it.

Uh oh. Well, it was in self defense for the most part, though. We didn't go out our way to gank lowbies in the areas we went into (that was Elek's job and that was before Szo or Yuse joined in). I think it was more of an OOC thing. Not a whole lot of rping was actually going on. All of us were bored, it was a slow night. =(

When we went to Duskwood, Goldshire, and so on. We were only attacked by lowbies with higher levels. While, I would have loved to ignore them. Them + guards + high level Alliance pounding on you for visiting the Darkmoon Faire = not a good recipe to see what you were doing.

In other words, people were reacting to me, not to Gorvena. It made me sad and angry and I wondered if it was worth even trying any more. But seeing that some people still notice tells me that it is still worth it.

And it's completely the only reason I still play. I've said it before; I was on the verge of quitting the game out of sheer boredom when my friend Apachrune told me about how much cooler and more interesting the game was on TN and how great the Grim was.
