Elf Ages

I need help with this...
how do elves and all the races age comparee to humans? any help woudl be nice...
For example, Ceclia is about the quivalent to an 16 year old human..what is that in elf?

Key:
Adulthood is physical (sexual) maturity.
Middle Age is self explanatory.
Old is elderly, presumably complete with beard, wrinkles and fading hair.
Venerable this means dying. At most you have a decade or two to live, likely much less.

* All Night Elves older then 300 are still counted as being at Adulthood age. Thus, they still have 400 years to live.

**Undead do not age (and presumably will not die of "natural" causes) as they have already previously died and are now Undead.

these numbers suck. I thought high elves could go to 1,000 and night elves to 3,000. I don't actually remember where I read this. its not like anyone rp's to these numbers as elves anyway.

Plus, no way humans are adults at fifteen. Physically, they may be able to reproduce, but their bodies haven't reached their full adulthood stage yet. Even women continue to grow until they're 17-18, men until around 20-20.

Then again, I consider adulthood the time when you stop growing, but that's just me.

Well I have 2 thoughts on this, first, in the middle ages 15 was an adult, obviously not today, but then it was. Second I have always concidered Elves to not have an expiration date... I have always felt that they are Immoral, er I mean Imortal.

Thats because back then, they were more concerned about when a girl could pop out a baby than when it was healthy for her to do so. Just because a girl can get pregnant doesn't mean she should be... blegh.

Oh I agree, but back then they did. In fact I don't think people should be a parent, untill they have been an adult. Too many people bring children into this world without being an adult themselves. <Wrong!>

Yep, remember this is High Fantasy - and High Fantasy is a crossbetween historical "Middle Ages" and the romantic "Renaissance."

Got some new hair sprouts? Congrats! Now you can rule a country and make some babies and take to the fields and all that exciting stuff.

And remember about Night Elves... they just became "mortal" in the last five (or six, if you want to count gametime) years. So, technically... they are now on that "timeframe." They don't know how long they will live, but now we as players do!

And anyway, all the Alliance races are going to bite the bullet soon. Me and Fhenrir are going to pilot our RP-wings and shoot our thorium torpedoes down your starships vent shaft; destroying your samophlange and ruling the WORLD!

So, it is quiet possible that there are plenty of Night Elves out there that are thousands of years old. Kuro would be one of them (but no, I'll not state her age!), as are Galidon, Xelthan, and, I think, Alucian.

Though, in the next 650-700+ years, they will be dying of old age.

Until then, you will remain supple but still use the "back in the day" comments with those pesky humans and gnomes.
