View Full Version : Confessions of a Teenage Warlock
Rosemerta

Rosemerta sat by candle light, a brand new leather bound journal on the table in front of her. She took a deep breath, blowing a few strands of Silver hair out of her eyes. "Why is the first page of a new journal always the hardest thing to write on?", she thought as she opened her book and readied her pen.
Having finished my formal training, I was sent off to Goldshire to pick up a bit of work. Personaly, sending a freshly trained student of the shadows out to kill pigs and gather wood seems rather silly, but who am I to question my teachers? I'll do what is advised of me, atleast for now.
Anyway, I did several jobs around town, all the while being glared at and told that I wasn't welcomed. I was pretty sure I would never find any type of companionship here. Suprisingly I was wrong.
Yesterday morning I was awoken by a loud knocking. When I made myself decent enough to go to the door, I noticed that someone had delivered a letter. It was from my last teacher, and it instructed me to seek out a man named Gakin the Darkbinder, in Stormwind City.
I got all excited, considering that I have never in my 17 years been to Stormwind. You think I would have gone, atleast once, but I lived in Dalaran with my parents till I was Eight years old. It drove Daddy mad that I wasn't the all powerful, magical arcane weilder that the rest of my family is. It really isn't my fault that I am so good at molding the shadows...
I'm getting off topic, my bitterness towards my family can wait for a later entry.'
Rosemerta paused, dipping her pen into the ink well. She stretched her writing hand, sighed, and ran a finger across the milky stone that sat at her throat.
'Stormwind is huge. I absolutely love it, shadows from the buildings, shadows from the walls... a warlocks dream. I think after I finish the last of my tasks in Goldshire, I'll look for more perminant residence there. Atleast in the city, no one gave me dirty looks for just breathing.
Once I found Gakin, I could instantly see why they called him 'The Darkbinder'. He was a rather imposing man, and the darkness loves him far more then anyone I've ever met before. I wonder if its possible to reach that level of power...
Erm, in any case, he sent me on an errand to 'retreave' a necklace from some random lady. Apparently she had been his student, or servent.. I wasn't paying particular attention to details.. and had run off with the necklace, which was actualy a very powerful summoning tool.
Off I went, and after a bit of persuasion, was able to 'liberate' the necklace from the fool. The task itself isn't what sticks out in my mind, but what happened when I reached the little farm that the wench was hiding at.
I met a Night Elf. Yesterday was full of firsts, first visit to the City, first time seeing an elf.. Man are they tall! This one was handsome too, if you like purple skin and pointy ears, that is. His name was Naidirym, and he introduced himself to me.. in Demonic.
I was pretty impressed, to tell the truth. He didn't shy away from me at the sight of Zilloz, (Smelly little bugger) but instead used the knowledge to greet me in my favorite language. He told me that he was a Druid, and that while most humans will tend to be turned off by my affinity, he was not. Apparently shadow-weilders are a nessisary evil, to keep the world in ballance..
Or something to that general effect..
In any case, he was quite helpful in seperating the traitor from her jewlery, and told me afterwards that should I ever need a friend, he would be there. Here I was, all worried that I would never find any type of companionship... 9 years of lonelieness starts to eat at you after a while, it seems.'
Rosemerta smiled, dipping her pen once again.
The reward for returning the necklace to Gakin was a lesson on how to call forth a Voidwalker. At the end of the lesson, he gifted me with a vile made of steal. He was very clear on his instructions, to keep the vile corked tightly. A voidwalker was brainless and easily managed, if his holding bottle was safely sealed.
He told me that he would be calling on me again soon, and untill that time, I should travel down the road to Westfall and seek to aid the Militia at Sentinal Hill. Why my teachers feel doing odd jobs for common farm-folk will strenghten my skills, I'll never know.
Yet, its not my place to question, so for now, I'll help clean up the messes and mistakes of the common.
Since I have finaly finished my tasks from the villagers here in Goldshire, I will move on in the morning. The last two days weren't nearly as horrible as I had pictured. Hopefully, tomarrow will be even better.'
Rosemerta closed her book. She pulled back her silver hair into a pony-tail, pulled back the sheets of the bed, and blew the candle out.

Rosemerta sneezed. She pulled her blanket tighter around her sholders, mumbing to herself about the draft. She centered her journal on her bed, ballancing her ink well ever so carefully on her knee.
She peered around the room, making sure none of the other patrons were awake and aware of her, then set her candle on the night table to her right. A breath of air poured into the room, and she silently thanked whatever god was listening for the huricane glass covering her light.
"Why in Azeroth did they think building the inn last was a good idea?"
Rosemerta sighed and placed pen to paper.
Westfall is awful. Absolutely horrid. While I can understand why the bandits took residence here, I have absolutely no idea why anyone would think this to be good farming land.
Its nearly desert out here, the grass dead and the air dry. There are a few small ponds, but no major sorce of fresh water. There are buzzards everywhere, probably an indication of failed Livestock attempts.
If it wasn't so bright outside, it would be paradise for evil, I'd expect. I can see why I was sent to help the Militia. They have no idea how to fix the problems of the farmers who are nearly starving to death, and stave off the attacks from the Defias bandits.
I spent most of today killing wolves, buzzards, and yet more pigs. It helped a woman to make dinner for her family, so I supose it was a worthwhile endevor.n I was even asked to sit and eat with them, but after spending so much time gathering the ingredients, I chose not to...ug.
When I did finaly manage to reach Sentinel Hill, the sun was setting in the west and the sky looked to be on fire. It was pretty, even if I do hate to admit it.
I found that the majority of the people working around the out post were akin to thoes in Goldshire. As in, they were mistrustful of Warlocks. The captian was the kindest of them all, understanding that I was sent here to help; yet even he told me to watch my step. A girl can never catch a break, I swear.
The Captian reminded me a bit of Daddy... he has that Hoity toity, better then thou, biggatory smile. You know the type.. he'll tollerate you because he knows he has to, but he will never like you because you're not "Of the light", or Human, either work, really.
Ug, daddy... I still can't believe that he sent me away just because I wasn't an all powerful mage, like him. Mommy got to stay, and she was a warrior! If the teachers in Northshire Abby hadn't taken me, I would have had to fend for myself! At eight! Uh!..
Oops, I'm babbling.
Back to my topic. I think the thing that has anoyed me the most though, is this gaping hole in the wall. Why in all of Azeroth did they think waiting till the last possible minute to build an Inn was a good idea? They must have slept in tents while they built the tower and the lumber-mill. Not that I understand WHY they would build a lumber-mill in a place that has almost no trees..
I'll never understand the logic of the military.
Rosemerta sneezed again, her inkwell tumbling off her knee and hitting the floor with a, "CLUNKblloop". She cursed under her breath, taking a glance around to make sure she hadn't woken anyone up. She sighed, and climbed out of her bed to clean the mess.

Oh, how I like this story!

Rosemerta eyed the hole in the ceiling. She silently wondered why she was yet again staying in an inn that wasn't finished. Pulling her blanket tight around her shoulders, she set her things up for her new nightly ritual of journal writing.
Making sure to set her inkwell next to her candle on the nightstand this time, she opened her book to page three. She reached around and pulled her hair up and out of her face, styling it into a semi-sloppy bun.
Today was as different from yesterday as the sun is from the moon. As miserable as I was yesterday, I found myself quite cheerful today. Even the mind-numbing tasks from the Captian seemed less obnoxious.
I met myself another elf. I am starting to think I can only attract males of the night elf persuasion, not that I mind, I'm starting to like purple skin. His name is Tarislar, and quite possibly the politest person I've ever met.
He has the most beautiful hair.. a girl would kill for hair like that. How he manages to make it look so nice has got to be some kind of deep dark Elf secret, I swear. Its purple and shiney.. and atleast 5 inches longer then mine, which I am mildly jealous of. I've never been able to get my hair longer then shoulder length.
Erhm, back on topic...
He was a rogue, and told me a bit about elf-lands that I had only heard stories of. I never really believed that Darnassus exsisted, really.. I mean, a city in a tree? Of course, I was told of it when I was small and didn't believe Night Elves and Trolls exisisted either.
Come to think of it, I've still never met a Troll.. not that I'm terribly in a hurry to do so, but thats not the point. Being hold up in an Abby in the middle of a walled-in valley for most of your life cuts you off from the rest of the world it seems...
Stupid daddy.. stupid spoiled sisters. They get to stay in the hub of all magic, and I get shipped off to priest-ville. I wonder even if daddy ever even knew that there -were- warlocks at the abby. Probably not, considering he was hoping I would be "Holy'd" out of the shadows... Good work daddy.
In any case, I'm hoping to run into Tarislar again tomarrow, but I won't get my hopes up, since I have to deliver a package to Loch Modan. The walk will probably take me half a day, especialy since the path I have to take goes right through Iron Forge. Since its another City I've never seen, I will have to stop and take in the sites and sounds.. and smells. From what I hear, it smells something aweful there.
One good thing about finishing my schooling.. I've finaly been granted freedom. Freedom.. something my older sisters were never allowed, since from the last word from Mommy, Daddy forced them to marry into power.
Maybe being walled into an abby of "wine loving" monks wasn't so very aweful after all...
Rosemerta sighed, closing her journal.
"Maybe I really am the lucky one.."

((Thank you :D Pre-warning, I'm going to leave the end of this entry open because I'm going to be away for at least a day or so. Whoever feels up to being my "hooded man" Go for it! Pick the story up and be creative! Just don't kill her or make her undead, cause I can't re roll horde. <3))
Rosemerta sat at the table, listening to the sights and sounds of the warm, welcoming inn. She felt the edges of her mouth curl with a smile, watching the dwarves laugh and toast the day. She ran her fingers across the cover of her journal, then opened it to a fresh page.
Walking this package to Loch Modan turned out to be a harder task then I originally thought. Not.. that walking a package from one town to another is difficult, but that's besides the point.
The problem, is Iron Forge. I can't bring myself to leave. Its just so warm, and the dwarves are surprisingly welcoming. Even the ale is good.. which is fun, because only dwarves would sell me ale.
Rosey snickered, peering around the room before she leaned in to take a sip off her mug.
Its so warm and safe, almost like being home. The shops are wonderful, and the people just flow in and out at an amazing rate! Its almost as if Iron forge, instead of stormwind, is the hub of the alliance. I can see why, though. Even with the smells of the forge, sweaty dwarves, and horse droppings (Why they allow people to ride their horses inside the city still boggles my mind), its a wonderfully pleasant place to stay.
I spent most of this afternoon walking around and talking to people. I even was permitted to go and speak with King Magni! That in itself was an experience. No one is allowed to seek audience with the king of Stormwind, mostly out of fear for the boys life, I'd assume..
In any case, If I can work up the nerve to continue along with my journey in the morning, I will. To long in one place will make me rusty, and I have things that I need to do before I go visit Daddy.
Yes, I've decided, my path is heading me straight for Dalaran. After thinking it over seriously this evening, I've come to the conclusion that if I do not go confront him, I'll go insane. I actually think I'm already slightly nuts, but don't tell anyone!
I am free of him and his ruling thumb, so I insanely must go challenge him. Its almost as if I need to prove to him that Arcane isn't the only type of magic, and I was born able to wield shadows and control the demonic.
Its all your fault Daddy... that I'm this way. In your loathing of my abilities, you are loathing yourself.. man I can't wait to say that to his face. To see the look of hatred, the anger in his eyes when he realizes that I am the direct result of his shortcomings.
To bad I wasn't a boy. That would really crush him.
Goodness, such dark thoughts. Maybe I should lie off the Ale a bit. .. in fact, I'm starting to get myself a headache. Maybe I should go get a bed for the night and go lie ..
Rosemerta blinked hard several times, trying to clear her vision. She glared at the mug. She put her head in her hands, taking a few slow, deep breaths.
"Uhg, make the spinning stop" She said aloud.. or did she? Everything was very blurry, the darkness was closing in around her.
Rosemerta was slumped forward on her table, unconscious. The bustle of the inn continued on around her, as if young women passing out was an every day occurrence.
A hooded man stepped silently out of the shadows. He was dressed head to toe in black robes, as of to hide his identity. He quietly gathered up her things, saving the journal for last. Once her items were stored, he wove an arm about her middle, scooped her up, and walked out of the inn, completely unnoticed.

"Hmmmm...What do you want to be? My little servent? Or a Flesh Golem? I need both..hehe..."
She picked up the belongings, reading through the journal. "So..she has family problems too, eh? Maybe...maybe help her kill her parents..then she can off thiose Barov's with me"

Rosemerta awoke to darkness. It took her a moment to focus on the minute amount of light leaking into the room from under the door. She blinked back tears, trying desperately to remain calm, retracing the bits from the previous night that she could remember.
"Iron forge.. the inn, writing in my journal... the ale" She thought, still trying to orient herself. She obviously was not still in the dwarven city, let alone the inn. For one thing, the room that she was in smelled of mageroyal and dried blood, as if someone had used the flowers oil to cover the sent. Whoever it was, they hadn't done it effectively, because the smell was strong enough that she could taste it in the back of her throat, the metallic essence making her gag slightly.
It was then that she began to hyperventilate. Was it her that was bleeding? Maybe she was dieing! She franticly searched herself for any open wounds, searching each arm with careful fingers. Her head was pounding, and she reached up to inspect it. It was then that she noticed the shackles on either of her wrists, binding her from pulling her arms any higher then directly level with her shoulders. It made her hysteria gain power.
Her blind terror grew in leaps and bound when she attempted to swing her legs off the bed, and realized she couldn't move them at all. They were also bound, leaving her able to sit and lie, and nothing more.
"Trolls have kidnapped me and are going to eat my liver before sacrificing the rest of me to their gods! OH MY GOODNESS, I AM GOING TO DIE" She shrieked, no longer able to hold her terror in.
The door swung open mid-scream. Standing in the doorway was a person. The light was behind them, so that even in her state of terror, Rosemerta could only make out that the person was both human in stature, and female in figure.
"Oh good, you're awake" The figure said, the voice feminine. The woman giggled, and the sound ran shivers down Rosemerta's spine.

"Now my little girl...Your name is Rosmerta, I assume? I am Shigana. If you do what I say...I will not have to kill you. Now, tell me little one..."
Shigana flipped open the journal, opening to a random page and pointed to one fot he comments about her father
"Tell me...why are you so mad at him?"

Rosemerta let the fear uncoil from her chest, seeing the face of the woman, this one who called herself Shigana. The face was cruel, but still beautiful enough to calm her nerves.
"That's mine." She said simply, reaching out to take her journal. "Give it back please."
The woman, Shigana, pulled the book out of her reach and grinned. "Answer the question little girl. Why do you hate him?"
She sat in silence for a moment, trying to calm herself, trying to push back the burning anger that had replaced her terror. "Tell me where I am and why I'm chained, and I'll answer your questions."
Shigana laughed, and Rose could hear the insanity in it. It made her shiver. "No no, little one. Answer my questions first, or I may just decide to feed you to my Infernal, Gakutenou. Come now, quickly, before I lose intrest."
Rosemerta sighed, realizing that playing tough would get her nowhere with this one. "... I lothe him because he is a coward... because he never loved anything but the light and his precious arcana... because he saw his darkness in me, and refused to face it."
Rosemerta's violet colored eyes welled with tears, blinking as they began to roll.
"I HATE HIM BECAUSE HE LEFT ME! He dropped me off in the middle of nowhere because he knew I was the part of him he loved and hated so much.. because I could be what he could never allow himself to be! I never asked to be born with this power, that was his doing! I HATE HIM! If the monks from the abby hadn't rescued me, I would have died in the middle of that forest, away from everything that was formilar to me! HE LEFT ME TO DIE, THE BASTARD WANTED ME DEAD BECAUSE HE WANTED SO DESPERATELY TO TOUCH THE DEMONIC THAT IT SCARED HIM."
Rosemerta sobbed, the words flowing like water out of a broken dam. She took a deep breath, hiccuped, and continued to babble in her tears.
"He told me when he left.. he told me. He said that he could not have me around, that I was evil. That I would be better off dead. Dead, because my magics tempted him. I was just a CHILD!" She screamed, looking at the woman in front of her. Her tears fell like rain, her face and shirt wet. "How was I suposed to know how or why I was able to touch the shadows! He never even gave me a chance!"
She laughed, bitterly "The coward didn't even have the will to kill me himself."
"I've answered your question. Now answer mine." Rosemerta glared at Shigana, leaving her tears on her face.

"Well. I was going to use you for spare parts....but now...now I think I wll make you my apprentice. YOu want your father dead..isn't that right sweetie?"
Shigana smiled, as she relaxed her restraint, allowing th immense amount fo shadow to pour out of her body. Teh long tendrils of dark energy fetched a few books and brought other assorted items to her. Two such tendrils attached to the young warlocks arms, shattering her cuffs.
"Now, will you be my apprentice? If you are, I expect you to do as you are told. I can teach you thinkgs you never imagined you could do."
At that Shigana pulled the girl in close
"You could kill that pesky father of yours....or make him notice you.."
Shigana smiled, as she held Rosemerta in a grasp that could be mistaken for a lovers embrace. Shigana awaited the young warlocks answer

Rosemerta stared at this woman, trying desperately not to give away her astonishment at the power she was able to wield. Her nose was pressed against Shigana's, and it took every ounce of her willpower to not attempt to pull away and lash out in hatred.
She forced herself to smile instead.
"Your apprentice? but I've not even finished my Hands-on training assigned to me. Why would you want me as an apprentice?...
And I'm not nearly ready to kill him yet, but yes, I'd like to see him understand what its like to be abandoned and hopeless before his heart stops beating in my hand..." Rosemerta's fake smile twisted into a real one, cruel and hateful. "But you still didn't answer my questions. Where am I ? And.. well, I suppose you answered why I'm here, kind of."
Rosemerta shifted enough so she was no longer pressed directly against Shigana. She looked closely at her, weighing the imposed question carefully. "What could you teach me that I couldn't learn with time and training?" She pondered, as if daring this woman, her captor, to give her a good enough reason to give away her soul.
Rosemerta's violet eyes flashed, revealing a tiny portion of the insanity she had so long bottled inside. Her grin remain twisted, the milky opal at her throat throbbed as if it held a heartbeat, her heartbeat.
"What could you give me, to make it worth it to give my self up to you?"

The organs and pus spweing piles are my latest attmpets to make something to aid myself in battle. And..the reason I choose you...you are so beutiful.."

"Can you rip holes in space and time? I keep my possesions hidden there. Places too..."
She snapped. The sound echoed longer then it should have, bouncing around the room eternally. Then, a small portal opened up, a dark bobject moving to Shigana's hand. It formed into a massive Scythe. Her Scythe.
"The Soul wrencher. IF you become my apprentice..it will be yours when you are strong enough. How does that sound...Rosmerta? Will you be my aprpentice? MY plaything?"

Rosemerta smoothed her robes out, now that she was released and able to stand freely. She ran her fingers through her dicheviled silver hair, making herself look a bit more presentable. She was stalling for time, thinking.
"Should I take her offer? I supose if I don't she'll kill me and use my best bits for some sick experements.. but to give her my soul?" She unconciously touched the large opal that lied at her throat.
Her soul was stored in the confines of the opal, the only reason she had one at all. She really was a burden to her father, a temptation to darker magics... She had been stillborn, and only was able to live because her father had stolen a soul. He stole the soul of an aged and near dieing Mage of great power.. his mentor, all because of his love for her mother, for the love he had thought he held for Rosemerta.
The soul, her soul, was magicly sealed within the milky stone that she wore at her throat. Anyone who posessed it would, technicaly, have full controle of her. The idea of giving her freedom to anyone made her shiver slightly.
"To become your apprentice, I'd assumen you'd want me to pledge my soul to you. You don't seem to want anything less then uter control.." She said, her fingers lingering on the stone at her throat.
She thought long and hard, clearly to the anoyance of Shigana, who wanted answers quicky. "If you give her the stone, you can have the power needed to distroy him, to seek your true path." A whispered voice, male in tone, said to her, deep within the recesses of her mind. The voice of the previous owner of her soul, he had been tormenting her for years.
"If I give her my soul, I will never be free.. if she were to lose it, who ever came upon it would have control over us both, Lydon." She threw back at the voice.
"You will never get our revenge if you hide behind your childish fears. Who needs freedom when you will have power, and a mistress who's crazier then you are. She probably could be persuaded to let you do as you please, if you play your cards right.. think of it."
Rosemerta grinned.
"Alright." She reached around her neck, unclasping the chain. She reached out, holding the stone, her precious soul stone.
"My soul is contained within this stone. If you have control of this, you have control of me.." She took a deep breath, and handed it gently over to Shigana. "I willingly give it to you.. thus I willingly give myself to you"

"This soul is far to old to be yours...and why is it in a stone I wonder? hmmm.... this is perfect.."

"Rose. Lay down on the table. I don;t want your soul. I am going to fuse the soul to your body. YOu will never be able to die this way. Well, short of an act of a Dark God that is."
Shigana winced when she sai that
"I used to be that way. YOu loose your sense of pain and gain unholy powers. Now. Let us get started."

"What are oyu waiting for? Lay down on the table."

She shreeked. "No! You cannot fuse it to me, its why its in the stone! The previous owner is still in there!" She grabbed for the stone, but was swatted back by Shigana.
She took a few breaths, "I was born with out a soul. Stillborn. The soul in that stone is bound to me, but the person daddy took it from was so powerful, even so close to death as he was, that the only way to keep him from overwhelming me was to imprison it in that stone. If you fuse it with me, he will owerpower me, and I will cease to exsist. I won't be Rosemerta Blanchette.. I'll be Lydon Dragonbane."
"Please.. if you fuse us, you'll lose me. If you keep the stone as it is, you will have both our powers at your disposal. My abilites stem from him, and he was the high elf teaching my father the darker side of magic. I can meld shadows and weild fire, but he makes it possible for me to bend the arcane, something I didn't discover till long after daddy tried to have me eaten by the wildlife of Elwyn forest." Rosemerta watched herself walk over and lie down, dispite her attempts to stop. Dispite her pleading. "Mistress!"
Within the back recesses of her mind, she swore. You wanted that all along, didn't you Lydon? You knew she'd want to fuse the stone with my body... And in her mind, he laughed.

The two souls floated side by side. They were nothing more then small glowing orbs, much like whisps in essence. One was white, the other was dark. The dark soul looked much like the other, though its core was pure black, Its aura taking twice the space the soul itself occupied. The white soul, presumably Rosemerta's, was much smaller, and milky pure.
Rosemerta's body lay upon the table, the violet eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. Her chest rose up and down, continuing the signs of life reguardless of the emptyness that radiated from thoes eyes. There was life there, but nothing within it made it a person. The body breathed on, waiting for Shigana to place Rosemerta's soul within.

"Power....The power is what I need. Sorry little girl..."
Shigana flung the Darker Soul into the body, the arrays liting sealing it up. The lighter soul she put in a shard for safe keeping.
"Perfect...."
Shigana looked to the body, the shard in her hand, smirking to her self.

Lydon opened his eyes. Well, technically he opened the eyes of the girl, Rosemerta, but it made little difference to him. He stretched his fingers, blinked his eyes, and sat up.
"Freedom." He said, the voice that came up from his throat feminine, young. He laughed.
Rosemerta's face turned towards Shigana. She, the body, was unchanged in appearance, except for the eyes. The violet eyes of the girl, Rosemerta, were changed. While the left eye held its color and humanity, the right was nothing more then the glowing orb of an elf.
Lydon smiled at Shigana, a sweet smile, "I thank you, witch, for freeing me from my imprisonment. That retched little girl never knew what she had. Now you've given it to me, and its a debt I intend to repay."
He slid down off the table, landing on uncertain feet. After a moment of wobbling, he managed to steady himself. "My name, mistress, is Lydon Dragonsbane, though I believe the little twit told you that already? Or did you already know, before hand?" He grinned, red female lips curling into his laughter.
"I can gift you with three things, just as I gifted the little wretch's father before he betrayed me.." He said, holding up three fingers. "But, in exchange, I request three things from you."
"The three things that I request are as follows. My freedom to roam. I must complete the tasks set before this girl by her trainers, so that I may learn to control the power she possessed, and merge it with my own. The soul of the girl, so that I may tap into her abilities more readily. Thirdly, I request the personal items of this girl, her journal and summoning vials, so that I may keep up appearances until the right time." He smiled that sweet smile of innocence again.
"I must also start work on procuring a more suitable shell, one that will not expire quite so rapidly... but that is another matter all together."
He cleared his, her, throat. "The gifts to you? The ability to tap into the arcane. You will not be able to wield it like a mage would, but you will wield it none the less. Secondly I will give you the ability to tap into the darkness. The shadows are powerful, but the darkness is all encompassing. Thirdly, should you need my assistance in a dire situation, I gift you with the ability of telepathy."
He walked, swaying the womanly hips of his new body playfully, towards Shigana. He placed his hand over her mid-section, smiling a sweet, playful smile. "Do you accept my terms, mistress?"

Shigana smiled, then scowled. In an instant, four Lengths of Shadow appeared. Each took the form of a Serpent. They Hissed at Ludon, and pushed Him/her back.
"Making demands, eh? How bold we are. I will grant you this. Her items and the like. Also, her soul."
Shigana drew two arrays on the soul stone. One to give the soul a personality, the other to bind it to Rosmerta's body. If the soul died, SO would this Lydon fellow.
"Her soul will follow you as a serpent. If it dies, you die. Also. You will know your place."
At that, one of the serpents struck Lyndon, leaving a burn along side the face he had.
"Now, go out and train. Come back when you can summon a few hunter."

"Thank you my mistress" he said with a wicked smrik, leaning down to kiss the hand that had struck him. He let his lips, thoes femenin lips, linger upon his mistress' hand a moment or so longer. Darkness swelled ariund him and the hand he kissed, gifting Shigana with what he promised her. The dark energy quickly retreated into his female form, and he stood.
Give me my body back! his mind screamed. He laughed.
"Do not fret, I have no intention of distroying Rose or her body. Once I have set about obtaining a more suitable host, she can have the thing back if she'd like" He said this aloud, to calm both the voice of Rosemerta inside of him, and Shigana, who was still glaring at him.
He gathered his things, clasped the chain that cradled the Soul shard of Rosemerta around his neck, blew a kiss to his mistress, and sauntered out into the world. "I will return when it is time, my lady."

Shigana snapped
"The girl. As is my call sign, she will follow you as a black serpent. If you keep her locked away, she will go crazy."
Shigana summoned some of her shadow serpents to clean up the mess that was made, and devour soem pests in the room.
"Little does he know.."
Shigana smiled, a Serpent returnign a shard to her. It contained enough of his soul to allow her to influence him if need be. HE would betray her. She knew it. But you never betray a Viper. Or you get bit.

Lydon settled into the inn for the night. Having entered the city of stormwind after a days and nights travel from his mistress' home, he imedately purchaced a room at the inn in the mage quarter of the city. He sat, in this new body of his, and poked and proded at it a moment or so, slightly facinated by the female anatomy he now posessed.
"Don't touch me! Get your filthy hands and filthy soul out!" Rosemerta's voice yelled at him, panic stricken.
He laughed. "My dear, these are YOUR hands, and lets not forget, if your father hadn't stolen my soul, you'd never of lived long enough to HAVE such a beautiful body." He spoke aloud to her, always. Sure, the outward projection of Rosemerta was begining to look slightly crazy for talking to herself, but Lydon cared little.
He left the exploration of this new body alone for now, sitting up. He reached for the little cloth pouch, opening it. He let the contents spill onto the matrace. "Two summoning vials, one steel and one violet. A journal, 37 gold peices, 38 silver peices.. a needle, thread, and ribbon wraped stack of cloth.."
"So you are a tailor then hmm? I supose its suitable for a young woman to know how to sew, but I'm glad to see you took it to the level of money making....Oh! A skinning knife and a few bits of leather too? So you're not wasteful when it comes to the slaughter of nature."
"Get out of my things Lydon, they're personal!"
"Oh I know dear, its why I'm going through them. If I am to adquately portray you, and.. " he held his fingers up, motioning quotation,"catch.. a man for you, then I need to know as much about you as I can"
"Wait.. why do you want to .. uh..catch a man?" She asked, confused.
"Oh.. oh dear sweet girl.. you are to innocent, it makes me laugh!" He laughed. "How am I to get you pregnant and create a more suitable vesel for my soul? You didn't think I really wanted to keep you locked up like that forever, did you?"
"Well...y-yes. You don't? Wait.. PREGNANT! No, Lydon.. just.. no. Can't you find another body with out doing that?" Rosemerta asked, though fully well knowing the answer.
"Sorry dear, there isn't another way. On top of that, it's only a matter of time before your body rejects me all together. My soul is old, and your body is young. Mine wasn't prepared for life in a young vesel, only ment as a tool to build this vesel its own soul. Your father learned more durring his study under me then I ever thought he was capeable of.."
*BANG BANG* ""HEY, SHUT UP IN THERE, NUT-BAG, SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP"
Lydon jumpmed a mile in his barrowed skin. The neighbor was angry at hearing him talk to Rosemerta, in essence talk to himself. He caught his breath and whispered, "Looks like its time for a journal entry before we rest."
Hello book! I am Lydon, and I will be taking over as voice and master for Rosemerta, untill it is time for her to return.
She got herself kidnapped by a rather insane woman named Shigana. A warlock by trade and necromancer by choice, it seems. She freed me from my imprisonment within that horrid opal in a quest of power.
I am curious though, did she kidnap Rosemerta because of me being locked in that stone, or did she simply spy a fresh young girl ripe for the manipulating..
Either way, I am here and Rose is now sealed away within a soul shard. The lady I am to call mistress spoke of serpents, and letting the soul of the girl roam durring the day in this form. I worry though, that the girl will be able to freely comunicate with the outside world in this form.
It would distroy my plans to find a suitable male to mate with the body I am currently in posession of. So for now, I will keep her in the stone, and make observations of any changes.
In the morning, this body and I are headed back to westfall to continue the training set forth by the powers that be. It may take me some time to get the hang of demon controling, but it should be an experence to say the least.
Untill tomarrow eve, book! Keep my secrets safe, as you have kept the thoughts of the girl safe.
Lydon Dragonsbane.

Shigana fell over. It had been a week since the little girl had left. Shigana had lsot 90% of her soul to that Lasher person..for a reason she did not under stand. She felt no anger towards anythign...only fear and love.
"I....I...I need my other half.."
Inside Lasher's sword, the other bit of Shigana was sulking, needing Her body to come near the blade if she wised to possess it. Her body was just cleaning up her lab, as it did not know the secrets of Necromancy, and could not make head or tails of any of it

Rosemerta/Lydon snuck quietly around the back side of a defias bandit. He was currently enthrauled with his voidwalker. It had taken Lydon quite a while to convince the creature to work with him. The demon had instantly senced the change in the person who looked and sounded like Rosemerta.
He pulled his dagger from its sheith, taking quiet steps towards the bandit. He dare not let loose a shadowbolt or curse, as so many of the bandits lurked in this area of farmland. He burried it into the spine of the criminal, catching him off guard. He screamed several obsenitys, his red blood flowing over the hilt of Lydon's dagger.
"Always look for the warlock when fighting a voidwalker, bandit. Shame you've learned it to late." He laughed with his lovely feminin voice, twisting the dagger sideways. The bandit dropped to the ground.
"Thank you kindly, demon. I told you I would be a worthy master." Lydon bent forward and wiped his blade clean on the dead man's shirt.
As he stood to replace the dagger in its sheath, Rosemerta began talking.
You didn't even use a curse or a spell other then to summon MY voidwalker. You'll never get anywhere in this world if you don't use the magic you stole from me. I mean really, what kind of a wizard are you if you wont even use what you have at your disposal? And will you stop touching my breasts? Just because you have controll over my hands does not give you the right to molest my body with them. Goodness, dirty old men and their fasionation with young flesh. UG!
Lydon laughed as the teeenage girl babbled on endlessly inside his head. He was used to the noise, having had listened to it for the past 17 years. Just because he had been sealed away inside that stone, did under no circumstances mean he hadn't heard every bit of this wench's thoughts.
He had loved getting her to blush when she was introduced to puberty and all that it came with. He was more then aware that she was trying to do to him what he had done to her, distract him to near insanity. Yet he had lost his wits a hundred years before her grandmother was born, and the chatter of a child was nothing to him but the buzzing of an anoying house fly.
As he began his attempt to locate the next bandit on his list, an overwhelming feeling of dread washed over him. He stopped, and attempted to look past the girl in his head, to try and tap into where the dread was comming from.
He screamed, his femenin voice echoing in the hills around him. He doubled over in pain, wraping his right arm around his thin, girlish midsection. The babbling in his head stopped, replaced with wave after wave of crimson pain. After what seemed like an eternity, everything suddely went black, and he heard the whispered words, "peace.. at last"
The world around him came into focus. He pulled his arm away from his middle and was able to stand freely. He looked at his hand, delicate and soft. It was covered with blood, as was the front of his robe.
"Fool of a witch, what has she done."
Back at the inn he carefully removed his robe and then his undershirt, leaving his bare breasts exposed to the world. He probed the place on his middle that felt even now as if there was a sword imbeded within it. Other then the blood that he had found on his hand and robe, there was no sign of a wound. The flesh on his middle was just as pale, smooth, and unbroken as always.
"A weeks trip to reach westfall from her lair, and now I must turn around and go back after only one day... " He sighed. As he redressed himself, he paused long enough to squeeze his right breast, to the anger of the girl in his mind. It made him laugh.
"Sorry girl, I couldn't resist. One of these days, when I have some real free time, I'll really take some time to expore this body"
DON'T YOU DARE!
He laughed to himself, all the while wincing at the invisable pain in his stomach.
"Alright Mistress, I am on my way."

Shigana was brooding again. The body she had was nearly complete. In a day, she would have a new form. A child, but it was a new body. Then, then she could breath again. She woudl have youth all right/...
She would be under Serline's protection.
She wondered. Would Rosmerta be suprised?
