Question about the star ratings...

Recently, I noticed several posts showing up with star ratings in the main Tales forum. Is this something everyone/anyone can do?

I certainly don't read every story, but could see using the stars as a way to say "great job" rather than posting OOC comments. Would folks be open to this?

everyone can rate a thread. on the top right corner there's a link says rate this thread. i raate this thread a 3.

It's also a great way to tell people they suck. Which is why I don't use it.

Although I like the comments on stories and wouldn't want them to go away completely.
