It used to be good, but whats going on? I hav not heard anything from any alliance RP guilds, and I havn't seen any blades of lordaeron or Tears of Elune around. Ironforge Regiment now and then, but nothing else. Is this just me? Or is Alliance just hiding and I dont know it?

BoL reformed into Empyrean Dawn. Alas, I don't have many close friends in ToE, so I can't say much for them. IFR is still going as strong as ever, from what I've seen, but I've only recently returned to a bit of RP interaction on that front. Hmmm... Honestly, there's a lot going on, it's just not quite so "OMG HI HERE WE ARE!"

We're here, but we're new! We've been starting up some fun roleplay with some Hordies, who I won't identify in case they don't want to be seen with us. ;) Underground dealings and all!

That being said, anybody ever wants some roleplay or wants somebody to do a few dirty deeds for some cash (IC of course >.> <.<), we're around every day, mostly.

I get plenty of it, both on this character and my rogue alt. I honestly cannot walk through Stormwind without getting involved in a conversation, or whatever. One of the conversations I got last night consisted of "r u a real girl?" :/ I got no less than 4 guild charters slapped in my face with no conversation whatsoever, IC or OOC.

My storyline doesn't lend to moving to Stormwind, unfortunately. ))

Aye ... I created a nelf druid (Cladir) and the Stupid in Darkshore and Darnassus is overwhelming at times. I like your approach, Lovely. "I will not sign your charter, you useless, inbred loser! Now go hug a tree." Er ... sorry, was channeling my Horde alt for a minute there. :twisted: I'd never join a guild where anyone got spammed invites. Don't you want to know the people that are joining?

It's never unwelcome. :P It's just not in her character to accept grovelling, or make idle conversation with strangers. And I will never break character. I've left guilds over staying true to her.

I recently got a second account and started an Alliance character. Damn, DAMN, after 15 minutes in Goldshire I wanted to claw my eyes out and run screaming back to Orgrimmar! The majority of people I encountered all seemed below the age of 13 and had no clue what RP was, I ended up having a fairly nice conversation with one player however and explained what RP was over the course of an hour or so. He wanted to re-roll horde afterwards :D.

I strolled through Ironforge to find Mutahhar and 'Ramrooter'(SERIOUSLY? Does ANYONE report names over there?!) having a full scale e-peen waving contest in /s. Both of them seemed barely into their teens.

Goldshire was actually worse than Barrens chat, I kid thee not. Wow guys, seriously, it was horrible. Much respect to you Rpers that can actually handle this and keep Rping, but for me, I'm running screaming back to Orgrimmar.

OMG, same here. I'm still at lvl 12 because questing on the Alliance side is so tedius. I got in some good RP for about five minutes. Me and this one guy discussed ribs. Only problem was, he kept using emotocons.

I was chatting to a kid today who reads Beuwolf and classic literature! I recommended the sanskrit Ramayana and Finnish Kalevala epics to him. I'm wearing my tweed jacket with the corduroy elbow patches tonight.

And Vilmah, I hope it wasn't your Alliance alt who told me off last night! I was flagged OOC, no one around (5am server time) and I was chatting with a couple of other players. I added a ^_~ in my say, and some dude running past yelled sarcastically, "You're such a super roleplayer using cutesy Japanese emoticons OMG!" The sound of crickets followed him.

I hope people get Gloomberry. He's had problems shapeshifting in cat-form, and is a bit messed up in the head. Most people see a talking cat, dance with him, and say "Awww kitty!" I love the attention, but y'know ... I wonder if I'm encouraging people to not roleplay. As long as people are having fun, I'm cool ...

It gets better once you get to Stormwind. Most of the real idiots Alliance-side either:

A) Die off in their 20s because it's hard to be "1337" when everyone thinks you're a jackass.

B) Powerlevels to 60 before realizing they wasted weeks / months of their life working on a character when they aren't planning on abiding by the server rules and then posts Waaaa threads on the forums about how miserable they are even though they are free to leave at any time.

That isn't to say it's all peaches and cream in the major cities, but I do see more RP there than in the starter areas.

People using emoticons in their speech doesn't bother me. The toons themselves have no facial expressions so a ":)" in there can just be a short-hand way of typing /smile. As long as the rest of their speech isn't packed with misspellings and leet-speak, I'm fine with it.
