DAY 1

Dad sent me out inta the real world.

He sa' I need ta grow up and make ma own life.

Mum cried.

I sat on the door stood for hours beatin' ma fists against the rock.

Dad sa' no come home an follow his rules.

1. Train as hunter so I can 'elp fight in wars.
2. Get my arse a husban'

But mum sa' don't let boys be touchin' ma.

DAY 2

Mum met me behind dads back.

I missed mum. She gave me a hug.

She tell me to wash ma hands before writing in my journal.

She also said not ta rip pages out of it anymo'

I showed her the ads I made for frens an help an she said it was a good idea.

She liked tha' idea.

I met ma hunter trainer an he put me ta work right away.

I learn'd how ta clean, unload, reload, and shoot guns.

I posted my ads in all tha big cities.

I miss mum.

DAY 3

I checked ma mail an no one responded ta my ads.

No one talks ta me.

I never see any dwarfs or toys.

No friendly faces.

The mail courier sa' that sometimes mail can take a few days but I still sad.

Mum met me again an she sa' I need skills an manners so people want to be ma' fren.

I tried tailoring once but I not good at makin' pretty things.

I tried black smithin' but is' to hot an' hurts ma skin.

Skinnin' animals is gross so leatherworkin' is out.

Dead naked animals. You can see their blub' an they bleed an' their eye sockets are scary. Monsters under animal skin.

I tried to mine today an I love it. I love ta dig. Perfect.

A gnome told me if I like ta play with toys to engineer. Perfect.

I though' I was gainin' seasons in hunting fast but the first stages go by fast.

Im not special.

Tommorow I tame a real beast and stuffed kitty toy goes back home ta mum.

DAY 4

I DID IT. I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT.

I DID IT!

I passed ma' beast mastery test an was aloud to pick ma' own pet!

I 'ope no one finds out but I didn't get the 'ole spell off.

I jus' used some bear bacon I had in ma' pocket ta tame the beasts.

BUT THAT WAS JUST FOR THE TEST.

I picked out a lil' piggy for ma real pet and she didn't want any o' ma bacon.

She just sat there an let me hug 'er while I cast the spell.

I named her Martha.

I sent ma stuffed kitty 'ome ta mum.

I miss mum, but not as much today.

DAY 5



I spent ma 'ole day with Martha.

She a real good pet an likes the spice bread I bake her.

No letters today or no new frens.

Dad sent a messenger to ma' telling ma' that mum caught a harmful parasite while swimming in the water in Zul'Aman.

Mums strength as the only thing that will pull 'er through this says dad.

Mums awesome she will be right as rain by 'morrow.

I miss mum.

I met TWO people today!

One was a dressmaker an I ordered a pink dress from 'er.

She sa' it will be ready for ma birthday party in two weeks.

One was Lightale a very nice woman. We 'ad a good chat. She found ma name from ma ad's I posted.

She gave ma a toy leather ball ta 'ave fun with. She said ta remember ta 'ave fun always.

Martha likes our new toy.

Mum as still sick. I heard about voodoo virus today, doc' says its na what she 'as but I mailed some trolls blood and sleep potions anyways incase it helps 'er.

Martha chewed a 'ole in my breeches an now I need ta buy a new pair.

I learned ta make liver pie today.

I miss mum.

I am trainin hard today with Martha.

I taught 'er how ta keep monsters off o' ma so I can shoot 'em.

Ta do this I taught 'er how ta growl REALLY loud.

Is' pretty destractin'

I did alot o' diggin' minerals today.

I found lots o' shiny pretty rocks an gems.

Mums still sick an' they think its gettin' worse.

Im so scared for mum.

I think I committed a thought crime today.

I 'ope I don go ta jail for this, mum said you can.

I plan ta' spend the night drinking in Pig N' Whistle Tavern.
