He stepped out of the cave victorious. It was obvious on his face. The normaly sad and decriped old face was smilling for once. For one time in his life of Undeath, something went his way. After much hard work he had finally accomplish what many priests could not.

He held the shard high above his head. The small warlock he had with him gasped in awe at the fragment of the World Tree. From his skull, Shadowspeak drew his eyes out, first the Eye of Divinity from its left socket, and then the Eye of Shadow from his right. He grew estatic, almost on the verge of exploding into celebration, but he could not let his emotions show... now, he thinks that would make him appear weak.

He gave the shards into the splinter and watched the eyes go to work. They spiraled around and around, it seemed to last forever. Agan and again the eyes swirled around the splinter making shades of the brightest light, brighter than any star or any sun. And next the darkness, a stygian black so bleak that it glowed with blackness. The shadow consumed the light, then the light the shadow, until finally they became one.

Shadowspeak held Anathema in his hands now, and was extremely glad... for once. But he could not help the shame of who helped him.

He turned to the Elf behind him and initiated his control. This way they could speak.

"I suppose this makes us allies... for now, Elf." The Elf replied with his almost equaled powers over the mind.

"Yes indeed. We may be enemies, but us priests must aid one another from time to time" And with those words the Elf was gone, using his hearthstone to portal back to Darnassus

"But next time do not expect mercy..." Shadowspeak muttered. For once the Elves had... helped him. it was most odd at first, but sometimes enemies must make peace. But someone must still win the war, he thought.

He turned to the spirit that gifted him with the splinter.

"Before the power of the Eye lifts from me and I will no longer see you, I want to thank you spirit."

"You did what I could not. You deserve it.," replied the spirit.

"Yes indeed, thank you for the curse you have just put upon this realm."

"What?"

"Your soul will remain here spirit. You will remain here because you gifted me, the chosen of Thallis, with this object. I will first slay ten fold of that which I saved and there will be no mercy. None for the weak and none for the strong. I will slay as many Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Gnomes... I will slay them all, and all the more effeciantly with the gift you have just presented me. You can rest with peace knowing someone did what you could not, but you will SUFFER on this realm with the thought of helping me kill all the rest of your wretched race. I will wipe all that remains of humans from this earth."

The spirit stood there... Shadowspeak could not tell if it was awe or just silence. After a moment of Silence everything faded away. The power of the Eye had lifted.

Shadowspeak summoned his mount and rode off into the depths of plaguewood, and back to the Undercity.

For once... something went right. And for this, the Alliance would suffer.
