A message rests in the appropriate place, weathered and watermarked from weeks of waiting
Long have our voices been silent. It seems I have been everywhere in the worlds these past months and yet nothing transpires.
This worries me, for much has happened behind the scenes and a lack of response on the surface could mean a grave threat is brewing.
The castle walls which once protected the Alliance lands are cracked and crumbling. The generals who have stood fast these last years against the threat of invasion have parted ways in all but name. I do not know whether we must fear the vulnerability these dire times leave the Allied lands in, or rejoice the death of a hydra that all too often fanned the flames of war so eagerly.
The Honor Guard has fallen to ruin.
These are the times when we may be needed the most.
