History: Born in Quel’Thelas during the earlier stages of the First War, he was a sickly child. None thought he would make it past infancy, but by some miracle, he grew into a young adult. Born into a medium class family with 2 older brothers who were skillful swordsman and brilliant tacticians, Taeln was not, preferring the studies and skills taught by the Holy Church of the Light. Against his parents will and nay-saying, he left Quel’Thelas at an early age to go live in Lordaeron and begin worshipping and practicing the faith of the Holy Light. After years of building up his faith and rising through the ranks of the church and finally becoming a Bishop, the 2nd War began and Stormwind was sacked. After Lord Lothar came to Lordaeron and explained the situation, Archbishop Foal, head of the Church approach 4 of the senior Bishops about joining a newer sect of Church. After months passed and the war began ravaging places close to Lordaeron, he was finally called to join the ranks of the new sect… The Paladins. Though, never a fighter at heart, he took up the cause with gusto, and began training vigorously. It wasn’t until one of the last battles, that he joined, but it was one of the greatest battles in history. Taeln was not far from him, when Lothar fought Orgrim Doomhammer. When Lord Lothar was killed, his skull crushed in by the mighty Doomhammer. Taeln was close by when he heard and saw that his one of his long time idles killed. Shook to his very foundation, he took this as a personal blow. He finished the war, the Dark Portal destroyed and returned to Lordaeron to continue furthering his faith and training, under the guidance of his mentor, Uther the Lightbringer. Years past and Taeln became an exceptional paladin, healing those in need, smiting down the evil across the lands, and learning everything he could. It wasn’t until the Scourge Wars that this paladin was shaken so much; it caused him to almost take his life. With the betrayal of Arthes and the fall of Lordaeron, those were just the icing on the cake. It was the fall of what he lived his life for. What he dreamed night and day. The Knighthood of the Silver Hand fell and just as important, his mentor and what he considered a fatherly figure, Uther was brought down by the now Death Knight Arthes. So shaken and in turmoil, he fled to parts unknown. He lost his faith that day and everything in his world that he grew up with. While in exile, he began to notice something about him… something that was happening to him, but what, he could not understand. Now, years later, with the scourge just a minor nescience, he has returned. He has begun rekindling his faith and belief in the Holy Light. Though afflicted by the destruction of the Sunwell, he does not share the same power-hunger that has befallen some of his people. It sickens him how far his people have fallen since last he saw them, but what disgusts him to the very core of his being… Is the newly formed Blood Knights and how they get their power. They have captured one of the beings of the Light and hold it against its will, drawing from it without its consent. No family or friends, them all being lost in the war, he wanders around the world, trying to find some semblance of belonging. He vows one day to restore the Knighthood to its former glory.
Now, just shortly after his return to society, he has joined the forces of a neutral party, Da Cartal Enforcers. Neither favored toward the Horde or Alliance, he finds these new group of people exactly what he is looking for... But, not all has gone well since his return. He has been thrown into something of mystery, evil, and may have dire consequences. Swearing an oath of never to leave a friend in need and to stay until the battle has ended, he stays by his new friends sides, no matter what may happen at the end.
Months have passed since he returned to normal society... And much has changed.. Some for the better, others for the worse. Only a few weeks of living a normal life of a Knight again, a terrible ordeal happens during his quest to help put an end to a curse that plagued his new friends... Under the control of a demon, Naheal, finding a bloody Taeln in Tirisfal Glades, disembowels and decapitates him, dumping his remains into the nearby ocean... His friends were able to claim his organs and head and give him a proper buriel near Fairbreeze Village. It wasnt long before he was able to return to the mortal plane, but only as a spectre. His Gods seeing that he still was good and could provide much needed guidence to the others. But, after breaking many of the rules that were in place for him, he was slowly losing his standing on the mortal plane... Barely able to leave a graveyard. Reluctantly, when the final battle against Sinaku drew near, his Gods granted him the gift of life again, so long as he lived it to the best and purest of his ability. Agreeing to this, he set out to do battle.
Now, months after this battle, he has grown stronger and more wise. His faith knowing no bounds and bringing him to aquire new prayers and spells. Meeting new people and spreading goodness as best he can, he dwells in Silvermoon again, for much of his time, reading and learning.

"Who?"

Xara blinks.

"I thought his name was Risticus?"

I know Taeln, *smiles brightly* he helped us contain the umm...thing with Videlle in Silvermoon, very very close to starting an epidemic. I dunno what we would have done without his help.

Ugh...though he seems very protective over me since that day *makes a nervous grin* with little reason as to why. He took me out for a nice picnic the other day. *thinks for a moment* Oh...uh oh, Xara...I have some questions, ah can we talk O.O;

He cocks an eyebrow. "An odd indivitual which I have recently had the pleasure of meeting. If he is a true paladin, however, maybe he could help me break away from the Knights..."

He sighs. "No, I doubt that's going to be possible anyways. Reguardless, he's a man worthy of trust and respect."

Tassha eyes you, clearly wondering why you're asking her of all people about this man.

"He's... one of the few willing to give me a chance, it's..."

She crosses her arms, seeming to become a little irked at her inability to find the words.

"...He's different."

Slaid smiles slightly, her cheeks tinged with a pink hue.
"Well... he's been very kind to me... And he easily deserves my respect. He's been through so much- we all have... and he's still so virtuous and loyal to all of his friends..."

Her face flushes again as she speaks in a quiet voice before leaving.
"Quite an impressive guy... actually..."
