Seriously. I've never understood all this "the game begins at 60". Unless the 40-man raid thing is your idea of a good time, 2 weeks after hitting 60 is when you'll find yourself wanting to make a new character.

Congratulations on finishing your climb, Redburn. Even bigger grats on doing it what I consider to be "the right way". I'd be curious to hear what you think of being 60 a couple weeks from now.

I agree. Totally. Danlily hit 60 and is on the shelf. I don't have the time nor the patience for the wait and the raids. I left the "hurry up and wait" mind set when I left Fort Jackson.

Ya, I have seen the "Endgame" part of WoW kill off way to many characters, guilds, etc to get too excited about raiding. And since I only really play 2 or 3 hours at a time, 40 man raids probobly wont be my thing.

But, I got lots of up and coming guildies to help, potions to make, an expansion to look forward to, and lots of 5 and 10 man runs I can have fun with.

I figure the expansion isn't coming out for another 6 months. That's half a year. I can level a character to 60 twice in that time....or I can build a new character and take my time RPing and leveling her slooowwwly, sniff the flogs, er, sniff the flowers and enjoy the world.

I've taken a break from WoW, gonna come back now but will play on my alliance account until "late winter of 2006" when blood elves come out but this time play more with the emphasis on RP and storyline.

Have I ever mentioned how much I like you? You and Grisch, and Gorthak, always like him too. There's a bunch of people hordeside that I really, really like. I don't know many alliance. But that's where I'm going to play for a while because I just cant bring myself to roll another character that runs like a football player.

Enjoy your time at level 60. You have about a year of content that they have added for people who have been there... err, for a year.

Though, BE CAREFUL! Don't let the majority of the assclowns and butt-nuggets make you stop roleplaying. EVERYTHING can be roleplayed - even all those instances and high level quests. Will you have time to sit around and talk about how your brother was cursed by an elf who fell in love with you but couldn't have you because you were already marrying her sister?

No, of course not - this just isn't that type of game. But pre-instance and post-instance can be roleplayed to its fullest.

Congrats. I have been 59 for 2 weeks now, i am hitting the phase Male has stated. I just can't wait for a raid to be set up in 30 minutes for UBRS or LBRS and then do a 3 hour dungeon crawl.
