History:
Born in Feralas to a druid mother, Rannoch was abandoned when his mother lost her identity to the wild. Unable to coax with the events leading to the illegitimate birth of the calf, Ahnala could not bring herself to raise the calf... and little Rann was left to the wilds to take back. Yet as the wolves of Feralas gathered to devour the small calf, Rannoch gazed back with his young fiery eyes and none approached. Finally, the wily druid Weirly dove forth and snatched him up. Unable to raise the calf on his own, Weirly took Rannoch to Desolace where he left him to the care of an old tauren chieftain belonging to the powerful warrior tribe residing in the contested plains. There Rannoch rose as a strong warrior, fierce and well-seasoned through many skirmishes with the centaur tribes of Desolace. Naturally aloof and secluded from the other warrior tauren, Rannoch often sensed there was a difference in the flow of spirits through him... and though Weirly continued to watched over him as he grew, the druid never spoke a word to him in shame of his mother.
As the years passed, the war with the centaur escalated until at last the clans gathered and raided in the greatest of numbers. The warrior tribe fought bravely, but in the end where overwhelmed and wiped out. Rannoch alone survived by the intervention of Weirly. Broken with no family, no place to call home, and not even the solace of death to comfort him Rannoch fell into a deep depression. After much coaxing and even some fighting, Weirly convinced Rannoch to journey with him across Kalimdor... for the druid had many duties in many areas, and perhaps somewhere in their travels Rannoch would find where his place was. Still, Weirly never spoke of his mother to Rannoch... but would always recognize a sense of destiny with the young tauren. Weirly always thought perhaps the path of a druid was not what was meant for Rannoch... and that it would be best he not know.
Traveling far and wide they encountered many adventures and new allies, and among these allies would be the zany orc warrior Thoraggar... who would eventually travel with Rannoch to the Eastern Kingdoms when Weirly faded back into the wild. On the Eastern continent, Rannoch was quickly enlisted by the Forsaken to carry out tasks dealing with problems in Silverpine Forest. Though the tauren eventually grew to distrust the Forsaken because of these tasks, it was through these that he met his life mate. Leading a mission to battle the worgen of the forests and Keep, the fiery young druid Theira Cry-Oak caught his eye as she playfully tailed about him. The two quickly embraced their feelings and never left each other's sides as they took to many adventures of their own. When Theira's tribal leader, Kuroku, established the Red Moon tribe it wasn't long before Rannoch followed. Yet though he fought and defended under the banner of Rulitus Luna, his pledge of loyalty would always remained with that of his mate Theira. In secret, the two held their tribal union in Moonglade. Since then, Rannoch and Theira have been plunged into prestigious positions filled with duties fit for their strength and abilities in leadership. Unable to share much time together anymore, they charish what time they do have together... in hopes that perhaps some day they will be able to retire a happy life together.
