Heroic Steamvaults

I need to run this. Not 'need' in the attunement sense, but 'need' as in the "There is gear here that is useful to me, but mostly I must have it for vanity, because I am an obsessive and shallow person" sense. Namely, the Wrathtide Longbow.

Now, so far no group I've been in has made it past the first boss. The Longbow, you may recall, drops from the LAST boss. I weep for it. Bitterly.

Any advice on how to make this slightly less impossible to achieve?

I've made it past the first boss in Heroic mode. Had two warlocks in the group. Banish FTW!

Didn't make it to the end though...People had to go to bed. *cries*

I've done it. Never with Q, though. Heroic Kalithresh is a pansy.

The machine-gun hurricanes are really rough. Take a tree druid, ehheh. Realistically, dunno, other than being beefy and on your toes.

Don't get me wrong, I had to soulstone during the fight AND pop a potion, but we beat the first boss. Barely. Its a really hard ass fight. I think at the end there were a few of us dead too.

With my potions, that's a soak for at least one or two thunderstorms. And you should not be getting hit by any more than two thunderstorms every two minutes. Which means by the time the cooldown is up on the potion, it should just have been all used up.

Take a warlock. Or - take an off tank.

Or... roleplay with the hard hitters. DOOM!

Having two warlocks was very beneficial beating the first boss. I finished the fight wondering how it would have been possible without them. hehe.

Yes, it was a Heroic PuG. Sometimes ya get a good one.

I've run it, being the only warlock. First boss is a bit of a bitch but once you pass her the place is easy, just hard hitting. Granted you need a butt ton of dps for the place.

I went there once. It was two rogues, and I don't remember who else. The rogues were me and Abric. I asked what was different there in heroic mode. Abric said not much, just don't pull aggro. Then he pulled aggro on one of the first pulls and died. :D
