Now I am honestly full of fear as there is a 90% chance that they will f*ck it up like just about every other Game to movie transitions.
I hope they dont allow the Studio and the Hollywood executives to have their way or we will have World of the Naked night elve in shower, Evil two dimensional Horde and mutants in a space station instead of demons because that is not raptor Jesus friendly.
But the biggest fear is dumb second rate wooden actors in unnecesary cheesy "love scenes" in an attempt to appeal to "the greater audience".
I will not be able to sleep at night now.

I'm scared. I'm so scared. Let me guess... it's going to follow the adventure of a brave young Night Elf and her humble human companion? A gnome and a dwarf shall provide comic relief, as they battle teh ebil Horde?
...
Don't do this to me, Blizzard!! Make it something GOOD, please! Please... I beg of you...

Damn! This is affecting me more than Eredar been the new Alliance race. I am in overload.
I am getting flashes of "warcraft" scenes where there is massive political correctness and a "cool" Dwarf or Gnome with snappy and hip one liners like Anakin and Obiwan at the Start of Episode III or worse.
HELP!!!

Eredar? You're kidding right?
Only 12 of those were ever found, and they're all High Ranking Generals of the Burning Legion, each having their own armies to crush planets and siphon their magicks. The Eredar invented all Dark Magicks of the Void. They are, more than any other creature, a pure supernatural force of Magic.
I think you're confused.
Also: WoW Movie --> Lord of the Clans.
PUHLEEEEEEEEZE!

I am not confused, just concerned as it is a strong possibility at the moment based on currently released screenshots (Do your research).
For final word we will need to wait for a Blizzard Press release but so far things are pointed towards Eredar or at least something that looks like them.

But you're saying that when you *know* there's never been any artistry on Draenei before they became Fel-Corrupted in Outworld (Like Satyr were, being Night Elves).
The Fel Corruption is strong, and its mutations are many.

Edit:
Here is another website with a couple more pics. Apparently this is a "legit" Chinese bootleg Warcraft Movie currently in production.

Let's look at the record of prior offences:
Dungeons and Dragons: The Movie (wipes away tear, truly horrible)
Wing Commander (Aaaargh please stop!)
Super Mario Bros. (Not much to start with, actually managed to make a movie that had a more trivials storyline than a platform game. *sigh*)
Alone in the Dark (Whoever perpetrated that should be shaved, sterilised and destroyed at the first opportunity)
Not looking good here folks.
I say expect it to suck badly enough to make you want to slit your wrists. If it doesn't you will be pleasantly surprised. If it does, no big dissapointment.
Pitty though, I always start getting a bit irate now whenever I see a favourite book or game heading for movie status. I just want Hollywood to leave the stuff I love the hell alone. Sick of seeing it degraded into trite, politically correct, regurgitated baby food for the masses.

Yes, but this is the same group who did Batman Begins. You have to admit, that was a great movie, and it was PERFECT for the feel of Batman. And the superman movie is probably going to be decent enough for someone who doesn't hate the character as much as I do.
Point is, it's a good company. I'm just amazed they found a good company. Wow. I have no idea how they're going to manage it.

Blizzard can't get WoW's first expansion out until their game is a musty two years old. By the time the movie comes out, we will all have alzheimers and won't remember what Azeroth is.

Bear in mind there have been additions like BWL and battlegrounds. Most games like Lineage 2 and or EQ call a whole single new dungeon an expansion. This expansion will dramatically change WoW with multiple new dungeons, a new level cap, new crafting items, new item properties, two new races, blah blah blah. It is definately a serious very content filled expansion and I think is far beyond what other games of similar age have released in thier 2-3 expansions.
Fallacy

And EQ2 is still releasing expansions just to match the content of WoW.

Actually, no, they call those added dungeons "adventure packs". The EQ2 expansions, on the other hand, open up whole continent area. I'm not being an EQ2 fanboi, on the contrary. EQ2 makes you pay $9.99 for the adventure packs while the WoW equivilant is free. I like both games (EQ2 and WoW) but Blizzard could do better at keeping the game fresh. I've played 13 mmorpgs, and WoW is one of my favorites...but really, no full on expansion until their 2nd anniversary is stale. The game play in WoW is wonderful, the humor is unbeatable. The quests are fun, at least in my opinion, but there's been no full on expansion and I got bored. I want to play something other than the one pretty troll face and the two pretty orc faces and still be on horde side, and I want more world content, not more dungeons that require tedious hours getting a raid together. I don't have time for that, nor the patience. I don't want another dungeon, I want Blizzard to come out with their expansion and put some life into the world of Azaroth, not just give us another raiding area.

It could end up a perfect storm of creativity and the WoW movie will be great ... then again, when you mention a WoW movie, the words "Straight to Video" keep replaying in my head. Time will tell, I guess.
And I agree with the previous poster: the first two Batman Movies (ala Tim Burton) rocked. And then the franchise degraded into debates over Robin's cod piece and the nipples on the bat suit. *sigh*
Give the WoW movie to Tim Burton! William Shatner could play Thrall! "Welcome ... stranger ... do you come ... to serve the Horde?"
