Did someone stick the entire roster of First Legion in the Character List?

I know some of them RP, but I'm pretty sure that alot of the ones currently listed don't.

I don't play alliance side enough to know for sure...


I'm just wondering for the 1/2 hour or hour that this Wiki forum was visible to every person who visited that Tralala or the likes decided to add stuff? The person who added them did not login.

I have no idea! I didn't add many people to the roster, but those I did were Horde and RPers.

Ok, i removed all of them except Kaldore, Fynne, and a couple other names I recognize. If one of you added them, feel free to add them back if you KNOW they RP.

Thanks, Mortica. I wasn't really sure what to do with all that. I added 5 or 6, came back an hour later and there were 50 names I didn't recognize. I'd hate to lock it down at this stage, but perhaps at least logging in before editing should be required.

Generally, I find wiki's work better when they grow organically rather than get treated as a massive dump.

I think the character list really doesn't need any of the characters without pages attached. Otherwise it's just a list of meaningless names and makes it unnecessarily extensive, if there are no links to go anywhere. If someone's working on putting all those profiles in, that's fine, but it seems kind of silly to have a massive list of red names. Even if all those people are roleplayers, I don't think it contributes much to the wiki, although I suppose that's arguable.

I see the entirety of the Grim there, many of whom never visit TNG. Although it would be optimal if they could be convinced to contribute, I don't see it happening for all of them.

I'm just going along with what Sifar said about it being organic mostly. Let the list build itself up with the content, rather than just exist as a mostly nonentity.

I'm working on adding the profiles, and sending PMs to the people I've gotten to so far requesting their permission as well. When all the bios are gotten through, it will be a lot more blue and then we can weed out the ones who don't have any.

Hm... I have noticed that somebody did put all the Grim in. I'm not a big fan of double standards - so just say the word on that, Mortica.

Though seems the moo-cow may be changing that, and ensuring the people who stay have profiles.

The Grim is a roleplaying guild. I assume they all roleplay so I don't mind their names being in there. If someone was to stick all the Haven names, or Tirisfalen names in, I wouldn't have a problem with that either. It just stuck out like a sore thumb that it was every person from First Legion.

If someone were to stick every person from Ordo Letalis in the list, I'd gut them out also, so it's definitely not an Alliance vs Horde thing.

As far as having huge lists of "red" names, I do agree that it makes more sense to have all the links end up somewhere, but at the same time, I want this to be as user friendly as a wiki can be when I make it officially open for everyone. Hopefully it'll make people feel the <3 if their name is already in it and all they have to do is write a bio for themselves (if they don't already have one!).
