To all our friends and allies:

Clys and Danlily wish to announce the birth of Danlily's daughter (and Clys' half-sister), Tempyst. Mother and daughter are doing well, and will be staying together in seclusion for a while. The baby girl is healthy and happy, with green eyes and golden-reddish hair. She appears fully elven, with ears to die for, and a very spunky personality. Danlily reports that the child is always hungry.

Gifts may be sent to mother and daughter in care of Clys Nex'Cruor at The Immortalis.

Pssstt....the baby's name is Tempyst, no "e" on the end.

Grats! Can I be the Godmother?

The godmother? Doesn't that imply some kind of diety, and baptism, and such? I would lean more toward some kind of formal guard arrangement, perhaps. In any event, let's see what Danlily's thoughts are about all this, first.

Is it not tempting to you being one of the Undead to eat the child? Elves to taste very sweet.

Congradulations Danlily on the birth of your daughter.

Now, this certainly IS an unconventional family unit isn't it?

My worg, Tempest seemed to like the name when I told him. I advised him not to be too flattered. I doubt the imp was named after him.

Now, for a suitable gift... I do soo love shopping..

Actually, Lupa, it was your worg I was thinking of at the time I named her. This infant never...stops...eating. She's voraciously hungry, eats like a worg, and she's already outgrown her little infant clothing. In fact, she has the temper of a worg. I'm thoroughly surprised she wasn't born with worg tusks, but then again, she just might grow them. She has elven hands and elven feet and elven ears and bloodelven coloring. If she grows tusks it just might even out her looks.

As much as I am attracted to Lovely, somehow I don't see a paladin being a fit godmother, especially one that wears less clothing than the baby does. ((totally just IC, love you to pieces, Lovely, oocly)).

I'll likely leave choosing a godmother up to Mistress Clys. I'm sorry if I'm sounding a bit cranky. Little sleep and dealing with a newborn that acts like a temper trantum throwing toddler is wearing the maternal feelings a bit thin.

8O needs...sleep.

Be careful with your little one. There may be some who seek vengeance for the two innocents stolen away and ruthlessly murdered recently. An eye for an eye...

Which is exactly why you won't find me out in public upon the face of Azeroth anytime soon. I am keeping Tempyst with me safely in Silvermoon at my family's estate until either she's old enough to fend for herself, or until the general population is allowed in Quel'Thalas territory, at which point I will have to hire guards to help protect her, providing she doesn't start eating them too.

Considering that the Dark Lady has yet to sign the treaty that my people have present to her that will bring my mother's people to the horde, it may be some time off.

Eat the child, Chum, because she has elven blood? I have elven blood, which should be obvious under the circumstances. My father is her father. So, no, I don't think I will be tempted to eat her. Danlily might be tempted to kill her, though, if she doesn't let 'Lily get some sleep.

After thinking about it further, and hearing Danlily's thoughts, I think we will do without god-parents of any kind. And as Northface so wisely pointed out, the fewer who know the location of our child, the better.

I did catch her playing with the hair attached to Danlily's bow, though, Lovely. So I suppose Tempyst will recognize your scent when you do meet, whenever that might be.

In the meantime, I must find a source for larger clothing for her. She seems to be growing faster than normal. I wonder if it is due to that potion I tested on Danlily? This will bear some further investigation.

A package arrives via goblin delievery addressed to Danlily. Inside is a purple blanket bearing the embroidered emblem of the Stormwind Orphange. The note is written in fluid Darnassian, but translated underneath by goblin hand.

Congratulations on your precious bundle. We hope this blanket protects your infant better than it did the last child it kept warm.

Love,
Kurohane and Alucian

A very crudely wooden carved pig has been sent to Danlily and her precious little baby, with a letter written in Orcish;

Congratulations! Miss Clys told me about the baby. I hope she's doing okay! I know she's probably supre cute! Hope she likes the pig!

Love
Vilmah

Danily reads the note with the package from Kurohane aloud and cackles. "How lovely of Kurohane!" Tempyst opens her mouth and tries to imitate her mother, her cackle sounding more like a wicked kind of gurgling.

The gurgling turns to gnawing sounds and Danlily turns to find Tempyst chewing on the nose of the wooden carved pig sent by Vilma. Examining the pig further, Danlily discovers Tempyst is leaving teeth marks.

"Hmm, you aren't supposed to be getting teeth in just a fortnight. I think we're going to wean you a bit early."

Danlily eyes the baby suspiciously before turning to write thank you notes.
