It was going to happen sooner or later.

The site has only one post so far so its very new. I doubt that it will get as many people as TNG since much of the RP community has "grown up" here and although people may post there from time to time, they will always regard TNG as their main place.

I dont think that the person that setup that website is even aware that TNG exists. I feel bad for them since they went through the effort and will likely not get many members or hits due to TN RP community been already stablished here.

Someone perhaps should inform them in a polite manner that this has already been done on another site which has over 430 members and still growing fast. Otherwise they will get disapointed at the lack of members and think that TN is dead when it comes to RP.

Edit: On second thought, I had a good look at the webosite and it hardly has any RP in it. Its appears to be aimed for PvP kiddies and Doods. It doesnt affect RPers at all.

I was going to say the same thing. What's the purpose of it? Here we get to post about RP without it dropping off the boards after a week of inactivity. We're preserving stories that people put a lot of time and effort into creating. How many stories from those first few months are lost forever? This site is also for a special niche, the RPers (although technically that should be everyone).

Their site is just a place for people to post the exact same thing as what's on the regular forums? What's the point of that? So you can swear without it getting bleeped out? So you can post nude and crude pics/links/threads without being censored? So you can have an original avatar? Trust me, a little bit of censorship on Blizzards part is actually a good thing on the TN forums. It's bad enough people take this game as seriously as they do.

Whoever has created it is wasting their time. They'll realize that soon I'm guessing.

Had a look at other variations on the twisting-nether theme that have been taken... www.twisting-nether.info is also taken (but is more of a WTF than twisting-nether.com!). Owned by a french guy, obviously domain-name squatting.
