Orgo and Vay II: Expensive Reunion

Flavor Song, Start the Beat...

Across the floor in the hand of where we drove the drill.
A cautious ear to the mouth of your confession.

Think of all the things we put him through,
In the face of his god would he tell the truth?

Still recorded were the words that dribbled out his kiss.
When eyes go blind in this man of what could once become.
Sever the limbs off his torso in sleep,
And burn what remains so the world may now see.

No longer will we wait for your answers,
Back to the hell where you've come from!
Think of all the times you've once had.
Write them in a letter that says "Goodbye".

You'll listen to reason while you're face down in the dirt!
You'll stomach the hurt, and break for them here just how much they're worth.

Part I: Nightmare Sleeping into Nightmare Waking, The First Evil

A formless black void swirls all around Orgo. Orgo, now human again, was walking forward towards something... When he got a little closer, he noticed it was a person. More importantly, it was a nude female, staring blankly at Orgo. As he got closer, a deep feeling of guilt, loss and depression lay on his mind.

"Sarah!?"

It was his late wife. He ran as hard as he could, but about three feet away from her, something stopped him. He kept running, but for some reason wasn't getting any closer.

"Sarah! Hold on. I'm coming!"

"Orgo... my loving Orgo, are you sure you want to touch me?"

With those words, Sarah's face morphed into Vay's.

"V-vay!? What is this!? What's going on!?"

"What's wrong Daddy? Why are you angry? Don't you love me? Touch me."

"How could you ask that!? Everything I do is for you! Why are you...?"

The face changes again, this time into the Red Lady's visage.

"Hahahaha... what's wrong, little fly? Don't you recognize me? What's wrong with you!?"

"Y-you!? W-what's happening to me!?"

The woman's face starts repeatedly cycling through the three faces.

"Orgo!"

Her voice was a nightmarish amalgamation of the three. She started slowly walking towards him. An overwhelming sense of fear made Orgo flee in the opposite direction. He got as far as a few meters away and was again stopped by some invisible force. Still slowly stalking towards him, the woman spoke.

"I thought you were coming for me? Come embrace me, my love. Please, wrap your hands around my throat and squeeze. Make love to me, make hate to me."

"N-no! ...Stay away! Stay back!"

"Listen to me, defiled Son of Man, and listen well! You are corrupted! There is no love or light in you, only a vile perversion of once was! I know of how to end this, Son of Man... but I will not tell you! No, now you WILL drink of this cup! You are no Son of Man, but Beast itself! Now lay with me, and eat the fruits of the seeds you've sown for yourself!"

"N-NO! Please, stay back!"

"Drink of this cup! Drink of me! Hate me, and make love to me... you Beast! When the ferment of our lust scents the air, will then you be honest!?"

The woman's malicious words brought an unprecedented amount of terror to Orgo, and he fell down, frozen in place for fear. She crawled over him, and licked his chest. He cried out, but had not the strength of will to move. She kissed his neck.

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Someone, anyone... WAKE ME UP!"

Only when their lips met did Orgo suddenly, and very violently, awaken from that evil dream...

"Look, Brothers! It's waking up! Finally!"

"Indeed! It seems like I was correct in saying it wasn't "dead", for a lack of better word."

"Did it finally come out of Torpor? Astounding, and there was no physical persuasion either..."

Orgo was awake. But there was something wrong, he couldn't see out of his right eye. "What is this!? Where am I!?"

"Silence, beast! Look where you are!"

"I think you'll find that we will be the ones asking the questions..."

Orgo was being restrained on a cold metal slab, and from the looks of the room it looked like a torture room. There were several men and women in red robes around him. Orgo was in trouble. Big trouble.

"Hmph... planning on "interrogating" a zombie?"

His sarcasm was met with laughter.

"Hahahahahaha! That's right, savor these moments. When the Inquisitors arrive you won't be so witty, I can assure you."

Orgo was in trouble. Big trouble.

"This is unbearable, nightmare sleeping into nightmare waking..."

Intermission

And here we are... this is where I'm currently at with these stories. I'd like everyone's opinion how how it's progressing, if you don't mind.

The Song Never Ends...

Slowly discarded were the remains of his lonely youth,
Among the alley where the dwellers scare to notice.
Picture a young lad in pieces,
And streets with leveled malfunctions,
No name to be called redeemer.

We'll fix him, restore him...
With a love like no other.
Think of all the things you did before,
Write them in a letter that says "Reborn".

You'll listen to reason while you're face down in the dirt.
You'll stomach the hurt, and show Orgo here just how much he's worth.

Following you across the highway, walking away...
I'll fire on!

On the wrong way out,
On the causeway to neverwhere.

Dear my friends,
In the time we've spent forever after beyond this, when will our nightmare ever end?

Pull the trigger and the nightmare stops!

Forever you will, forever you will learn!

Pull the trigger and the nightmare stops...

Part II: Pain Trigger, The Second Evil

Three more robed men entered the room. They seemed to carry themselves with authority.

"Good! The Inquisitors, shall we get started then? You'll notice, my lords, that we've already taken a few fingers and one of his eyes. For scientific purposes of course. Our scholars requested them, they said they want to study the body after we're done. That is... if there's anything left worth examining."

"Very well, Brother. Let us begin with a simple test. Give me that saw there..."

"Ahem. Gentlemen, we will start first by removing the subject's arm from the shoulder down. Be sure to note his reaction."

"This is insane! I'm not a lab rat!"

The saw sliced through the rotten easily enough, but the bone was still very strong, and it took some elbow grease to cut through it. The sound was horrible, like trying to cut through a large tree or iron bar.

"Phew! It seems like I'm out of shape, Brothers and Sisters!"

The joke was met with laughter from the others.

"There we go! That wasn't so hard. Here, go throw this over there Sister."

One of the female priests grabbed the severed arm and threw it in a corner of the room.

"But look... no reaction of any worth. No physical pain, it seems. Though it appears not all a lost. From that look in his eye there's some psychological damage."

"True, but that isn't intense enough for our purposes..."

"Hmmm..."

A few of the priests paced the room for a few minutes.

"How about we take a look at it's brain?"

"Ah! Excellent idea!"

"There's already a piece of his skull missing from when we sapped him, let's go through there."

While he felt something digging around in the side of his head, one of the priests watching picked up his severed arm and waved it at him. "Has anybody seen my arm? You can't miss it, it's GREEN."

The rest of them chuckled under their breath, except the inquisitors. They didn't seem to be amused. "Silence!"

"I need to concentrate!"

Orgo struggled with rage, vainly. He was completely and utterly helpless. Just then he felt something he hadn't felt in quite a while. Physical pain.

"AHHHHHH!" Orgo yelled out. That was a big mistake. The room started to murmur.

"Found his pain trigger!"

"So they CAN feel pain! Excellent work Father! A great discovery!"

"Wait... Brothers, Sisters. As wondeful as this discovery is, we still can't use it to gain the information we seek. We run the risk of destroying his brain, we'll gain nothing in that case."

The room started murmuring again.

"In any case, we now KNOW they can feel pain. Is the scribe getting all this?"

"Now... how can we extract information from this thing..."

The Inquisitors started pacing again.

"Unbelievable! Completely unbelievable! Is this my fate? To face disassembly and destruction at the hands of these madmen? No! I haven't even seen Vay yet!"

"I have it!" One of them suddenly yelled out.

"These things are anathema. An affront to the Light and all things good and holy. This much we can agree upon."

"Yes, and?"

"And... why don't we get our Priests here to bless these... "interrogation" tools? We could even try hitting him directly with the Light's holy power."

The rooms murmurs again, in agreement, and the Priests starting enchanting the torture instruments. Three of them came up to Orgo, their hands glowing with a golden light. He didn't like where this was going.

All three shot him with holy energy, the surge caused him immense pain.

"Good, now we're getting somewhere. Here, give me that blessed mace."

The priest raised the mace over his head and struck Orgo above the knee three times. Orgo yelled in pain, and on the third strike it shattered his leg in twain. The Inquisitor simply swept the limb unto the floor. The Priests never stopped surging his body with holy energy.

"Now the real fun starts, you're going to tell us everything you know about the Undead's operations in Tirisfal and elsewhere. Now talk!" He slammed the mace to his other leg. It didn't sever like the other limb, but the force blew it's back out.

"AHHHHHHH! I don't, I don't know ANYTHING!!! GAHHHH!!!"

"That's a shame... Brother, give me the saw."

Orgo's screams echoed throughout the dungeon. His pleads for mercy reached the highest depths, but fell on deaf ears. The limb hit the floor. One of them took a wrench and removed the index and middle finger from his remaining hand. He cries and begs for death, to no avail. Eventually, they even stopped questioning him, and tortured only.

A few hours pass...

The room was painted green with Orgo's blood. Their once scarlet red cloaks had been changed to emerald. They had exausted themselves, leaning on the walls or over their knees, panting heavily. The only thing that remains of Orgo is a burned and mutilated torso and head on a cold metal slab. His body parts strewn all over the place. He had not even the strength to scream, and his mind was numb with madness. He started fading away. Most of the others had left, unable to stand the stench and gore, except for the scribe who sickly recorded on with an ill stomach and mind.

Panting, the Inquisitors notice they have gone too far. "No! He's going back into Torpor!!!"

"Damn! I KNOW he knows something! Stop it!"

"I can't! We're going to have to wait another few weeks to questionnnn... himmmm.... ffffffuuuuuurrrrrtttthhhhheeeeerrrrr..."

Everything stretched and slow to a snail's pace, and Orgo fell into hibernation. Stars wheeled overhead, he was again in the formless void. Again, returned to human form. Again, walking towards something.

He was afraid, and he saw something in the distance. It looked like a simple door. Halfway there he encountered another person, it was his undead self. "Where are you going?"

The human Orgo was fearful of this creature.

"I-I'm going to that door... who are you?"

"Huh? That questions doesn't make any sense... I don't understand you..."

"You! You're the reason for all this, aren't you!?"

"Me? I suppose that's true... but you're as just to blame. We have to talk..."

The undead Orgo was calm and collected, while the human was obviously upset.

"Talk about what!? How you destroyed our family and killed our Brother and Wife!? Sarah... oh Sarah... where are you? I wanna be with you... the curve of your body... Your lips..."

"Stop that!"

"No! I won't! I'll have them, I'll have them soon enough. When I kill her, I'll have her. I must have them!"

"Calm down! You aren't making sense! And who are "They"?"

"They! They! THEM!"

The two turned to the right and the human Orgo pointed into the distance, and there was the same woman from the first dream, floating silently through space. Then they again faced each other. The undead Orgo grimaced and spoke. "No, you can't do that! You'll hurt them!"

"I have to slake this lust! They're the only things I have left! It's because of you! All because of you! I can remember such sweet, human things..."

"That's the problem, Orgo... we're not human anymore!"

"Yes we are! Only our outside has changed!!!"

"That's a lie and you know it. That evil man stained our heart in hate."

"Yes... that evil man... we'll kill him, dismember him."

"That's right, but not now..."

"You!!! You want to take Them away from me, don't you!?"

"Orgo... We have to let these human emotions go! They'll only bring self-destruction to us, and destroy all that we hold dear and love! In loving them, we'll kill them!"

"That's right, that's right... When I kill her, I'll have her! How I want Their form next to mine... I remember such sweet, sweet human things..."

"We can't do this! We have to let go! We no longer have those sweet human things! We tried to hold on to them... with this confrontation being the result! I thought... I thought maybe... maybe I could love again. Maybe I could love through this hate... but it just became twisted!"

"Lies! All lies! I love Them! I love Them so much... I need Them with me. You're just trying to take Them! My love for Them will never die! I won't let you take Them!"

"Calm down! We must come to an understanding. You must realize, we have to think of what's best for Vay."

"Vay... Vay... that's right. We do all this for Vay's sake. I love her."

"And what has our love given her!? Because of "love" we've damned her to the same fate as us!"

"Damned! Damned! Damned! You sound like one of those madmen! Only our outside has changed! We're the same as before!"

"That's not true! We DID change! And because we refuse to accept that we've gone mad!"

"I'm not mad, you are!"

"This is going nowhere... I have to end this, for her sake!"

A demonic looking black sword appears in the hands of the undead Orgo, and he starts approaching the human.

"No! You can't...! You can't do this!!!

In front of undead Orgo's eyes, the human starts changing. Transforming when threatened, becoming it's true self; The Beast, a six story cancerous, amorphous monstrocity.

"You can't sever me! I'm our SOUL! We'll die if you do! We'll die if you do!"

One of the Beast's tentacles lashed out at Orgo, but he jumped backwards a few kilometers, flipped and landed on knee.

"Then let us end ourself, for her sake!"

"No! I don't want to hate! I don't want to die! I just want Them!"

Suddenly a rift appeared between the two, and They appeared. The woman from the previous nightmare. Her voice thundered throughout the void.

"Oh wretched creature, what is this hell you've spun for yourself? I pity you. The answer is so simple, yet you do not percieve. I will not give it to you."

The undead Orgo spoke to her.

"You... You have to get away from him! He's gone crazy!"

"Oh? We're all mad here. The Beast is enraged, I have to go to him to call him down, Son of Man. I blame you for this, you who tried to destroy yourself. Oblivion is not the answer, Orgo, and you cannot win against the Beast this way."

"Then how?"

There was silence for a moment.

"Very well. Wait."

"Wait?"

"Yes, wait. You can't win against the Beast, but you can make Orgo understand what must happen. But first, I have to put the Beast alseep. You can't die, Orgo! You must remember your Purpose!"

"My... Purpose? What is my Purpose?"

"You don't remember? Don't fret, Son of Man... you will soon. When the Third Evil comes. That is the time of an outcome, one way or another, when the Third Evil comes we will resolve this nightmare. Now, my love, wake up..."

With those words she walks towards and was taken up by The Beast. And just before the fighting between the conflicted aspects resumed something happened... a voice echoed within the void. A familiar, but unknown voice.

"Hurry! We have to find him! ...Over here! A dungeon! Hold on! We're coming!"

The Beast stopped his writhing, and both of them looked upwards.

"Vay?"
"Vay?

...Look, we can't do this now Orgo. But next time, one way or the other, we have to resolve this. First thing's first, we have to get out of here alive."

"Agreed. Stay alive, for Them."

A light flooded the void, and all at once, Orgo woke into pain and darkness. He could hear conflict in the distance, drawing closer. The familiar female voice could be heard again. "Are you here! Answer me! Dad!"

Orgo tried to speak, but only a whisper came out. He then heard the others.

"Lass! Wait! Slow down! We'll find him!"

"Guntz? Vay? Is that you!?"

"Hurry! My demons can't keep them busy much longer! Where is he!?"

"Lady? I'm here!"

Orgo then overheard Scarlet Priests outside of the wall behind him.

"Ack! Someone crashed a Steam Tank into the side of the monestary! "They WHAT!?"

Chaos was heard all around him. From explosion that shook the ground, to gunshots and swords clanging and people screaming. He then heard multiple footsteps getting closer. The door to his cell whined as it open, and then someone shrieked bloody murder. The cry was horrible, a heart-wretching sound.

"Oh... Dad... what did they do to you?"

"V-vay... hey Kid... Don't look at me... like this..."

His daughter's crying was like a knife in his heart. Suddenly, the sound of someone being slapped was heard.

"Lass! Get a grip! We have no time ta do this here! They'll soon be upon us!"

It wasn't clear who Guntz was trying to convince. The distress in his voice was unmistakable. A couple of more people ran into the room.

"B-boss... look at you... you're all over the place... are you still with us?"

"Oh this is.. this is... oh Orgo..."

Johnny and Lady were even moved at the sight of a man they once knew. He was a piece of meat strapped to bone and skull.

"No time lads! Here, grab this bag and pick up all the pieces, now!"

The group knew better than to hesitate at the angry and distraught Dwarf's orders any longer. It was humiliating and distressing for Orgo as he listened to the sobs of his friends and family.

A few minutes later...

"Oh hell!"

"What's it lad!?"

"Too late! We have to bolt, Lacan's still waiting for us in the Steam Tank! He might be overrun by now!"

"Damn! Everyone, let's go! Lasses, you two go on ahead and clear a way. Johnny, take yer rifle and cover me, I'll carry Orgo and his things!"

From there was a desperate retreat to the Steam Tank outside, a running firefight. At one point Johnny stopped shooting and just ran. They were vastly outnumbered, and run was all they could do. It was horrible for Orgo, who was helpless, listening every time they were wounded. A pained grunt, or sound of searing flesh. He could hear everytime it hit one of them. They finally made it outside. Orgo wasn't doing well, he could barely tell who was who from their voices anymore.

"There it is! It's still going, but it looks damaged."

"Hold on little fly! We're almost there!"

"Boss!"

Orgo could hear fighting all around him. It seemed like they fighting through a large number of enemies, finally, the air became crampt and stuffy. Were they inside the Tank?

"Hey Boss, welcome Ba-HOLY HELL!"

"Lacan! Gun it!" "Right!"

BOOM!

The explosion of the cannon blast shook the ground.

"No you moron! Drive!!! Go anywhere!"

Although the tank shook a few times from something hitting, the chase soon calmed and the attackers no longered followed the hulking machine. Orgo raised enough strength to speak.

"Dear my friends... how is this... possible? How are you all... here?"

"Shhhhh! Don't talk Daddy-errr... Dad!"

"Boss, you've been gone for weeks and weeks!"

"Weeks? How long did he sleep for?"

"It was Torpor." Lady interjected.

"Undead don't sleep normally... but if one gets damaged enough they'll go into Torpor, a coma-like state,k and start regenerating."

Orgo spoke again, this time weaker.

"Red Lady.... Varia Brothers... Why... are you.... here?"

Lacan spoke from the driver's seat. "Boss... We couldn't let them just have ya like that! The Prize Fighting Varia Bros. never lets a friend go down like that!" "Yeah!"

"Oh, Orgo..."

The Red Lady was unusually serious. Vay then spoke.

"Dad... well. I woke up a few days after you disappeared. That's when I met those two characters, the Varia Bros. We started to get worried when you didn't show up, so we went to the Undercity."

"That's right, dear. It was a chance meeting, I just came back from that little job I told you about and I heard the three of them asking about you by name."

"G... untz?"

"I'ken answer that question, lad. I was approached b'Vay. Almost shot her head off, until I recognized the face. She explained everything. Undead or not... Y-your like m'nephew lad. I had ta help. Yer friends r'mah friends..."

Orgo couldn't believe it. All these people, gave their blood to rescue him from that hell. Was it fate?

"Y-you all.... what did I do, to deserve all of you?"

With those final words he fell alseep again.

"Dad!? Daddy!?" Vay fell over his torso, sobbing into his chest.

"He's in Torpor again... we have to work quick if we're to save him. He's very close to passing over now... His body can't possibly regenerate all that damage, and it certaintly can't regrow entire limbs." Lady said with a frown. "Guntz... can you do anything?"

"I dunno lass... we're still missing a lot of his body. We got most of the important parts, but...."

"Hey! Why can't we, I dunno... make him new limbs!"

"Johnny you idiot, that's impossible!"

"Hold it now, lads... that might be crazy enough to work! Not whole limbs mind you, but we have most of tha important parts. We can piece together tha rest with machinery!"

"Will that... work?"

"I'm sure it will! We won't even have to worry about rejection since he's undead. I would suggest using someone else's limbs, but... Orgo's well... a little too large."

"Guntz..."

"Yes, m'Lady?"

"I have something to talk to you about... Let's wait till we get somewhere safe though..." Guntz nodded.

At the hideout...

"So we've all agreed?"

The group nodded in unison. Vay spoke up.

"Just to make sure I got this... You want me, Johnny, and Lacan to find allies to help our cause?"

"That's right lass... for what they've done to Orgo, and all other victims like him... they must pay! Justice and vengeance is our cause, Vay." The young woman gave a solemn nod. "Search far and wide, you three. I care not who answers tha call. We will be united in our hate of the Scarlet Crusade."

Johnny spoke up next. "What about you and Lady, old man?"

"I have ta stay here and work on mah boy. This is gonna require my full attention. Lady... has already left alone on her mission. I can't reveal anymore than that, lad. Let us meet again soon, we neet to meet back here, at tha most, six months. Godspeed lass, lads."

Vay took a few minutes to again say goodbye to this man, her Father, for the second time. Then Vay, Lacan, and Johnny ran out of the cabin, into the coming dawn.

Now working on Orgo's body, Guntz sighs heavily.

"Lad, I hope you know I love ya. Oh, I hope nephew...

Don't worry, our time will come, Orgo. You, my lad, will be at the vanguard, leading the just rage that represents a multitude..."

((Ugh!!! Sorry guys, I know this entry doesn't make much sense, by the original draft got deleted somehow, and I kind of lost the will to write. The nightmare scenes made more sense, and it was generally neater and more coherent. I promise the next one will be better!))
