Has anyone thought about trying to recruit new TN players from other realms? Perhaps posting a call for RPers on the RP server forums and the other RPPVP forums? The stronger the RP base is here, the easier it will be to isolate the RP harrassing guilds *cough* echelon, infamous *cough*
I really do not understand why they stay here with all the griping about how crappy PvP is on our server. Maybe we could make it unbearable until they leave somehow *ponder*

I recruited as many people as I could when I left Scarlet Crusade.
<------ "Walt" from SC
I logged in there the other night when TN crashed and the 3 people on my friends list didn't respond to my tells.
I wasn't very popular there. I didn't seem to like pie enough to be a true RPer by the "hardcore" standards.

Pah, a "true RPer" would welcome the added threat and realism offered by PvP realms. I find it hard to believe that people would simply ignore you for going to an RP-PvP server.
I guess people who are like that probably aren't really RPers, but artsy elitist egomaniacs. Besides, one would think that after 60 levels + end game in the super easy and boring non PvP environment, the people would be wanting for the next challenge level.
Put the two together and you have elitists who are afraid to leave easy mode... I find that amusing.

What? From as far as I could tell, you were one of the more liked people from the server. Meh, I guess I just wasn't there long enough to tell, so I wasn't able to see what you higher-ups did before.
<------ "Gethir" from SC
Let's see, I had been playing WoW for only a couple of weeks, and had been looking for a good guild for Gethir. Well, Walt put out a call on the forums for new recruits, and I signed up. Since then, I've determined ya to be probably my favorite person to play with, on every server, with every character.
Still, I do miss the people from SC. Much better than the enviroment TN gives, but I'm still having more fun here.

Hmm ... I recall someone getting flamed on our forums for trying to recruit people from TN to their RP-PVP server. I would recommend targetting PVE or RP realms for a marketing campaign of sorts. It would help get rid of any conflict of interest.
Other than that, I think it's a great idea. I've been touting TN whenever I'm back on Bloodscalp (PVP). And yeah, it's a tough sell to that crowd, especially since I'm here to RP and PVP, not hang out in battlegrounds all day trying to be 1337. I've found a few interested parties but no real converts.
Most common reactions:
- "Arpee? What's that?"
- "You rolled Alliance?!?one11!!
- "You f#$%ing play a f#$%ing bubble f#$%ing hearthing f#$%ing paladin!? WTF!!!"

Hi!
I'm new here, but I would recommend going to RP and PvE servers if you were looking for some recruitment. I come from a PvE server where I've spent the last 6 months raiding hardcore. I'm looking for a change of pace in my free time, and I think there are alot of people on PvE servers that would be more open to this kind of server.
I came because I want the challenge of PvP with the option to RP with a more mature crowd. Also, I enjoyed the fact that this realm tends to be on the border between low and medium population. The PvE server I play on went from Medium to Full over night, and it's a pain these days.
Just be careful if you do decide to try and recruit. Some people like to lash out against any productive points to help generate a healthy community on a server.
I look forward to meeting up with some of you eventually.

I've logged onto my old realm Dragonmaw (I was soraxis there too, warlock then though) once in a while...nobody is mad at me or anything, amazingly enough Im still in my guild (high end PvE guild...like 500ish members a lot of which are 60) I think thats just an isolated incident on SC.
The recruiting from one RP-PvP to another...well from what I see we're a pretty good RP community actually, not all RP by a long shot but the best or really up there in the realms. I was really offended when that guy walks in and essentially implies that his server is the one with most RP (degrading TN) and then goes on on that tangent...it was the most popular or the best or whatever he said to that extent that got me mad.
Anyway so if we do advertise on other forums.
1)We should make sure we just say we're a good RP community without trying to say nobody else does RP.
2) Post as a RP thread rather than just a OOC thread...people would respond better to something IC than OOC if you want to say you RP, proof is right there!
3) We could maybe provide a list of RP guilds with an abbreviated form of their mission statement and stuff (Guild X-Light-RP/PvP With 25 players we plan on...)
Thats my thoughts anyway...although our list would have to be big and diverse I think, so whatever people are looking for there is something out there right away. So...yeah /rant
