Orgo and Vay I: In Forsaking Forsaken

Flavor Song, Start the Beat...

I fed the clues,
Of a lost day, killed in motion.
But I thought of it so, like there was no other way it could've been done...
Will they size my fit, for a puzzle I wish not to play a part in?
A heart stained in hate.
A feeling of fear will play circles.

But you, you were my favorite.
But you, you know, you were my favorite...

Part I: The Prize Fighting Varia Brothers

In Deathkneel... Six days after the massacre at the homestead.

"So? Can you bring her back?" Orgo inquired as he and an undead priest mulled over the body on the concrete slab, inside the shadow crypt.

"It took longer than expected to reach here, she... expired, during the trip."

Orgo had a heavy heart, but he was hopeful that he would soon be reunited with his daughter. The priest rubbed his chin, but did not respond. He then started examining the body's wounds. Orgo shuddered, unable to watch, and so turned away.

"She's precious to me, you know, I must have her back."

"Precious?" The priest responded, not hiding his astonishment at the statement.

"Interesting... so you say you still care for this person, how odd. Well, it shouldn't be too hard. She's in pristine condition, well, for a corpse anyways. You lugged her all the way here? I'm amazed you weren't killed. Travel couldn't have been easy."

"Go outside. If she is indeed "precious" to you, you may not want to watch the procedure. Especially if you could not stomach a simple pre-operation examination."

Orgo gave a silent nod, and went above ground. The priest gathered his instruments, and a variety of urns filled with unknown powders and liquid. Looming over the body, the priest gives a toothy grin.

"Heh heh heh... Caution. Those in the front row will get wet."

A downpour starts. The noise of the rain was pleasant... But an issue pressed like a weight on Orgo's brain. How was he to explain everything that happened to her? How could he possibly make her understand?

"I know... I know it was selfish of me to rob you of peaceful death this way, but... I'm weak. I'm as a child in a world of darkness, with no light or latern to guide me. Where will we go, Kid? Where can we?"

Thinking aloud, he never noticed anything approach from east until an arrow whizzed by an inch from his face. He nonchalantly looked towards the direction it came from and saw a group of five to six men and women, garbed in red.

"RAID!"

Too little, too late thought Orgo. He paced towards a grave and pulled a sword from it's home in the soft ground, left there as tribute no doubt. One arrow struck him, and lodged itself within his side. He didn't seem to notice. He glared at the humans, who seemed intimidated by his appearance, but still... they inched their way slowly towards him.

They were obviously inexperienced.

"I hate you. You think I like killing people? Well... it does gets easier and easier each time, I suppose. I'm sorry, you'll have to forgive me if I seem a little cynical."

Just at that moment two other Forsaken came from behind Orgo, ready to support him. He would have liked more than two, but it couldn't be helped. Seeing more enemies, the party of humans started walking backwards, and noticing them falter in their ranks, the three Forsaken charged and routed them completed, taking only glancing wounds. The result was the same in the village itself, where the red-garbed invaders never even broke into the town itself, though it looked like they got some things from the outlying houses. Orgo kneeled to inspect the bodies.

"Nice robes... who are they?"

He heard the sound of something very nasty behind him. He recognized that noise, and he immediatly thought back to a time when he was a thrall of the Lich King, and his spine shuddered. Cracking and chewing of bone and sinew, and the smacking noises they were making didn't help. Orgo didn't bother to turn around.

"Ugh... how can you bring yourself to do that?"

The noises stopped for a moment. "And you don't? Are you still fresh or somethin'?" "Look, this is one of the few pleasures we have left. To describe the feeling it'll give you will do it no justice, not to mention it also helps our bodies regenerate, well... to a point anyways. In other words, shut up."

Orgo scoffed at their remarks and went back to his original question, checking the wound the arrow left as he did.

"The idiots in red, who were they?"

Talking with his mouth full, one of the Forsaken who helped in the skirmish answered again.

"Ohr... Thrrrm? *smack* *chew* *gulp* Ya heard of tha Scarlet Crusade? Yeah..."

Now it made sense. Orgo knew the name, and that they were a fanatical sect of the Church, but not much else. Those kind of things usually didn't make it to the old homestead. Usually.

"I see... You know, I've seen this kind of attack before. I witnessed a few bandit attacks on my village before, these guys were just raiding for supplies. Does that mean they set up camp somewhere near Deathkneel?"

"More like IN Deathkneel." The Forsaken snorted and laughed, thinking himself clever. Orgo wasn't amused.

"Yeah, they're a bit off to the east. They must be really stupid if they think we don't notice their every move. They're not much a threat, really, just an annoyance. We keep em around for laughs, really."

"Sometimes they move people and other stuff around. We capture intel from em every now and again."

Letting out a deep sigh, Orgo was quickly becoming bored with the conversation.

"Look, I have to go to the Undercity. I have to check something... to see something for my own eyes. Can you two... uhhh?"

The two Forsaken twins rose up and wiped their mouths.

"Lacan, and this is my Bro..."

"Johnny!"

Orgo gave them each a nod. "Right..."

"You can call me anything you like, but my name's Orgo."

"Orgo huh? Nice to meet ya Boss!"

"Boss? Well, anyways... Johnny, Lacan, I need you to watch this crypt for me. My daughter is in there, I don't want anything to happen to her. Please, watch over her in my absence."

Johnny gave an enthusiastic nod, Lacan spoke up and saluted. "Right Boss! Leave it to us! No one gets pass the Prize Fighting Varia Bros.!"

"Good." Orgo glared at the two.

"Because if anything should happen to her, I'll raze you and this whole hamlet to flake, got it?"

The two swallowed the lumps in their throat, and Orgo left the two to their requested duty.

"Wait for me, Vay. I'll be back soon, try not to stir before I return."

Orgo grabbed his travel gear and cloak, and left Deathkneel. His destination, the Undercity. The Forsaken capital city under the ruins of Lordaeron and the home of the Banshee Queen; Sylvanas Windrunner, and her undead court...

Part II: The Red Lady, Death wears a Corset and Stilleto Heels

Flavor Song, Start the Beat...

With the worries that I'd give her in they told the worst of me.
With my wanting just to hold your neck in my arms and feel me squeeze.
No, I'm not going to give you what you want, so if you please.
The sin that shapes your voice carries my ears this new disease.

Did somebody take your tongue?
In worries of the words that you couldn't say if they could've saved them from...
But I don't want to sleep without...
So I bid to you, goodnight.
Tonight, sleep tight, my love.

The anxious through the calming storm you'll sit as you pray for rain.
I'll touch it if you ask me to but how is up to you...
No, I'm not going to let you get up if you struggle willingly.
I'll favor all your form to show you how its been done to me.

Did somebody take your tongue?

You were so well behaved...
As you arched and made your way...
This gift for you engraved.
The shift as you stretch your legs.
You were so well behaved...
You were so well...
Who taught these tricks that make...
You were so well behaved.

If the world stops turning girl, you better not stop when I say!
If there was nothing you could do to stop it, why'd you try!?
Then the ground starts parting through the silence as you woke up the dead.
Everything here dies alone...

A day later, the ruins of Lordaeron... The sky was unusually clear and bright. Orgo drudged his way through the fallen capital, totally exausted from constant travel on foot, when in the distant courtyard he spotted something...

"Demons!?"

They had surrounded someone by the water. Orgo brandished his sword with both hands and charged in. Just as he made it to the group, he stopped so hard that his boots squealed. They weren't attacking the person at all, they were just... lounging. That's when he noticed the person herself. She slowly turned from the water to face him.

"Hm? My, you're a big one, aren't you? Nice sword... are you gonna touch me with it? Be gentle, Ok?"

Orgo was speechless, he made a double take at his sword and clumsily resheathed it. He tried to speak, but no words came out.

"...Uhhh."

"What's wrong beautiful? Did somebody take your tongue?"

She was unlike anything he knew before. A sight too terrible and beautiful to describe. He would have never even dreamed of this in his most feverish of nightmares. Her skin was a pale milky white, without even a blemish where flesh remained. Her golden hair was expertly styled, falling down in waves in length to her chin. Where bone exposed itself, clean and bleached white. Her eye, piercing ice. Her lips, painted deep purple. Even her clothes were exotic, what little clothing there was, that is. Her blood red outfit left little to the imagination. Even a concubine would be hard-pressed to wear something this revealing, the clothes were, however, of very high quality.

Orgo had to take a few step backwards and look her body up and down a few times to register what he was even looking at. A few akward silent seconds passed.

"Mmmmm... see something you like?"

Resting her skeletal hand on her hip she slowly turned around, showing off her form. Orgo was mortified with embaressment.

"N-no! Sorry! Sorry! I didn't mea-"

"Nuh-uh... I won't forgive you, nope. It's far too late for that, little fly. This is my parlor.

She wiggled and twisted her body close to him. Very close to him, and circled Orgo, taking in his own masculine form. He was frozen. A few times her skin brushed up against his, and it made the hair on Orgo's neck stand on end. On her way back to the side of her minions she bumped her hip into him, looking over her shoulder with a coy smile.

"So, little fly, do you have a name?"

"Name?"

"Yeah... you do have a name, don't you?"

"Oh, yeah... it's Orgo. Orgo Duskbringer."

"Orgo? You're name is ORGO? Hahahaha..."

"...?"

"Hahahaha... Sorry. I had a naughty thought."

"You... you're so... strange. What kind of person are you, lady?"

"Lady? I like it... it sounds, regal. Much better than certain names people around here would like to call me, I can assure you. You don't even sound condenscending when you talk..."

The woman stepped up in front of him, pressing her body into his, and stared right up at his face. Obvious uncomfortable, he cleared his throat, but it was obvious she enjoyed seeing him react this way.

"Strange? Are you sure you didn't mean something else? Something a bit more... adult?"

For a few hanging seconds it seemed like their lips would meet, but at the last moment the woman side-stepped and walked a little past him before speaking again.

"Ohhhhh... I wish I could stay and play with you little fly, but I have this teeny-tiny little job I have to do. This is my cross to bear, I'm afraid. A shame, a few more precious seconds like that and we would have been tightly wrapped around each other like so much knotted rope on the grass."

An unearthly light brimmed about her, and suddenly a demonic horse rose up from the ground, picking her up on it's back.

"Keep your wings, little fly."

As she started to ride off, Orgo turned towards her and waved.

"Lady. Take care, I... want to see you again. Good luck."

"Oh? Finally find your tongue? I appreciate the concern. Don't fret Orgy, I'll definitely be thinking of you, you better think of me, Ok? Until we meet again, bye-bye beautiful."

Then she rode off with her demons close behind, resembling a falling red star. Orgo stood in silence a few moments to collect himself.

That was... weird. Why... why is my body shaking? My heart pounding? What's the name of this thing that invades my head and heart? My feelings are all jumbled up... It was all I could do to not touch her body, but in touching her, would it be to hurt? Or?

"..."

Did she just call me Orgy?

He made his way into the heart of the Undercity. No quicker was he intrigued by Lady was he horrified by this place. Pacing quickly now he made his way to a shop stall. Orgo used the last of his money and bought two new sets of leather armor, a bastard sword, a shortsword, and a couple of travelling cloaks. He donned one set of leather and cloak and hung the bastard sword over his back. Discarding the peasant clothes he was wearing, he started touring around the Undercity. You see, the reason he wished to come to the Undercity was to see what sort of people the Forsaken truly were.

At one point he came across a few Forsaken torturing a bound Abomination. He was appaled.

"It's... it's like torturing an animal... This isn't right."

Another time he saw how the Forsaken experiemented with live people.

"Turning live subjects into Undead... What exactly is this accomplishing? What are they planning?"

After a few hours, he made his way to the audience room of the Banshee Queen herself, where she and her Dread Lord were conversing. They stopped silent when he entered, and motioned for him to proceed.

"Dark Lady... I would, like to express to you something, if I may?"

"Grrr! What is this!? We have better things to do tha-!"

"Wait!" The Queen interrupted her right hand man.

"Go on..."

Orgo gave a nod.

"Well, honestly, I just wanted to say "thank you" before, but now... now..."

"But now?"

"Now, my Queen, you have my contempt! The atrocities I have witnessed in this hell hole will haunt me for ages! I thought I would make this place my home, and with my daughter, live here in peace. But I can't support you as long as you follow this path! I'm sorry, I have a hard enough time holding on to my humanity as is. That... that is all."

Sylvanas was expressionless, though the Dread Lord was grinding his teeth. As Orgo was leaving, she spoke.

"So you're forsaking, Forsaken?"

Orgo, not even turning to face her, gave a silent nod.

"So be it... I hope you realize what you're doing."

As he left, the Dread Lord furrowed a brow at her.

"Getting soft? I could have seperated his head from neck, it wouldn't have been a problem..."

"He's nothing... not even worth the effort. Without our support he won't last long in any case."

"Heh... you spoil them in their freedom too much, my dear."

"..."

It was time to leave this accursed place, in front of the ruins now, he takes a final look at what once was the center of a mighty kingdom, and left.

"Vay... I made a mistake. We truly have nowhere to go, now. In forsaking Forsaken, I have burned our bridges... This is the second time I have robbed you of a home."

The next morning, just before dawn, Orgo notices Deathkneel in the distance.

"She might be awake now... How will she react when she sees me? I now stomach this in fear..."

Orgo heard something behind him, but by then it was too late. Something slammed into his skull, and he could feel something crack and fall off. Losing concioussness, he sees blurry images of people in red robes looming above.

"Hurry! Tie him up!"

"Is this the right one, Sister?"

"Yes, Brother. He was with those "intelligent" undead."

"This better be worth it... we're taking a big risk."

This is the last thing Orgo hears, and his last thoughts go to his beloved daughter, Vay, and to his own surprise, of the mysterious Lady.

Dream On, Null Mind.
