View Full Version : Finding a Guild

So, I've got my Undead Warlock up to 19 and have been playing around in WSG a bit before moving on, but I figured now was the time to go ahead and join a guild.
So I was just wondering if there are any good Horde RP guilds that have room for players who are still leveling and whatnot? Any suggestions? I'm open to pretty much anything, at the moment, but a strong community for me to get involved with would be ideal.

Try out Infection. We are an undead only, RP guild and not hippies!

I'd base choice of guilds to apply to on a combination what the character wants and what the player wants. Your character's nature might or might not fit in with certain RP guilds. And you might want a PvP focus, or an endgame raiding focus, or an 'I just want some company while I level' focus, or maybe an RP-exclusive focus. Lots of different possibilities out there.
Joining /rplevelassist might be handy, too, since there's a variety of different players and characters in it, if you don't mind its OOC nature.

Haha!
Well, Sanctuary is one of your larger guilds, nowadays. We're heavy on RP, PVP, and we've been raiding every week! However, we are a "themed" guild. Sanctuary is made up of military-styled vigilantes who want to bring justice and peace to Azeroth. Nope, we don't gank lowbies or kill red names on sight.. but if they're on of the MANY on our KOS list, they shall be killed and killed a dozen times.

Depending on what you have planned for your character, I am sure that there are several guilds Horde side that you can look into.
The Grim is a Heavy RP guild that is also very active with raiding and to a lesser extent PvP. Most people would see us as a more "evil" organization. You can find more information at thegrim.org.
Thornel is mostly ..hm. It's a few OOC friends leveling to 70, currently. We corpse camp every noob because that's the thing to do when you see red letters.. Uuh what else. Ah right, if you want to get in you'd have to instance with Kovan and get his approval. Kovan does not like noobs who pull aggro and can't assist, but somehow deals with Jern. I doubt you'd be interested at all, considering we only have three-four people in the guild.. and it might possibly turn into an OOC raidfest at 70.. Yeaaah.

If you're into the whole "For the Forsaken" mindset, check Infection out. We've got a few people around your level kicking around, and some higher levels that can assist you. Our focus at the moment is trying to find members who are willing to RP the "evil guys" so to speak, who worship the Dark Lady, and isn't afraid to throw a little "elitisim" in thier RP style! OOC, we're a bunch of crazy, fun, easy-going members. Most of us are 18+, but age doesn't matter much, as long as you have a mature mindset when it comes down to guild buisness!
Feel free to PM myself (on Nadea or Amalee), Keraph, Skyze, or Morrigaine for some in-character interactions, either via whisper or in person, its up to you! We'd love to have you join us!

What she said! I've been playing Grainia more than Morrigaine lately so send me a note and we can run some stuff together. I can usually rope Bahmoral into tanking, too, 'cause he's Grainia's undead boytoy.

Thanks for all your suggestions and stuff. After I get off work, I'll try checking out some of these various guilds. The Grim, Infection and Sanctuary all sound like fun. I'm encouraged to see at least a few low-level characters from Infection who are active here, so I might try that first.
Thanks again for all your help guys.

Yeah! Beat down on you, Sanctuary, and your hippie ways! :D
I should be on tonight. Look for Grainia, she'll be hanging out near the entrance to RFC.

If Ninorra joins a guild, Qabian will kick her in the shins and steal her candy.

What can I say...the Ladies love me.
All joking aside, I highly recommend Infection. Not for the sheer fact it's the guild I belong to, but they've taken me in as someone who is comepletely new to the game (just my 3rd month of playing), made me feel very welcomed and is willing to put up with any newbie question I may have.
The chat (both IC and OOC) is a whoot, and I can never get enough of Nadea typing *cackles* all the time :p
Look forward to seeing you in game.

You already stole my candy! And the moment you kick me in the shins, you're getting a face full of hellfire.

I recommend life draining instead. Goes through fire ward much bet--Wait!
I mean get that imp the hell away from me!
Join a guild; get kicked in the shins! It's a great recruitment strategy. I'm sure you'll get more candy before you pick a guild. But if you see a papier maché dragonhawk on your doorstep, you probably shouldn't touch it.

Qabian is like one of those kids in elementary school that throws gum at the girl he has a crush on.
Except he goes the extra mile and puts poisoned candy into evil pinatas.

And wasps into evil pinatas if they're being delivered to an orphanage. If it's buzzing when it arrives, reeeeally don't touch it.
I mean -- Dangit! I've really gotta stop giving away my plans before I actually complete them.
Guilds! Yes, guilds are good. *cough*

Well I actualy designed Stranglethorn Exports slightly for this reason. There arent too many members but its a good excuse to get in to the rp and we bear no hatred if anyone leaves. In fact this is more of an alt/temp guild anyway so you can join the guild use it as an excuse to rp with other guilds and get a feel for which one you like best. In fact it doesnt realy matter if you consider yourself good or evil, at the lower end of STE you character could consider themselves any type of mindset and they would still have a reson for join. MONEY to pay the bills.
