Hm... thought I might of already put something like this out. Maybe I did, and I can't find it - so that just means another post! DOOM!

Going to BLIZZCON. At BLIZZCON, I've been formulating different questions I'm going to ask the developers, game masters, and creative designers about our server type: Roleplaying.

What sort of questions would you ask in regards to WoW roleplaying and server? What sort of concerns and/or statements would you want to hear from the developers?

I want a right-click easy name report function like there is for spammers in the default UI!

I also want a giant warning to go up before you create a character on an RP server that says, "If you don't know what RP is, go the hell away!" Well, not really, but something succinct with that general idea would be nice.

Those aren't really questions, though.

I'd be interested to hear if they have any specific plans for fostering roleplay separately from non-RP servers, maybe events, or UI functionality, whatever, anything at all. And if they don't, why the hell not?

Because if RP is just supposed to be an indication of the type of players who select the server, it's failing miserably. I think they should define the difference more clearly with something concrete, whatever that might be. They're creative, right? PvP servers have the contested area flag system over Normal servers. What does RP have? More naming elitists? Bleh.

I am not even sure what category I should submit under.

As to questions, what are they doing to enforce the RP aspect, what are they willing to do (as in maybe they don't do anything until reported, but will they actually respond to in a report).

I would love a "This is an RP server. Please select another server if you do not plan to follow the rules of this server type." I AGREE button before joining an RP server (pvp or pve).

Even better, put one of those tricky, "I don't agree" is the button you have to press to make sure people are actually reading before hitting the I AGREE button.

Hmmm...maybe some autofilters for names, like "IStab" "UrMom" "beef" etc. I reported "Istabudie" for probably the 20th time since I been on this server the other day (not the same person making the name..it's just so common for people to try to make that name it's crazy).
