History:
Zelphie grew up in a separated and oft-shunned noble family of the Gnomeregan empire. Her family name, later changed to Eredemire, comes from their "accomplishments" during the first war. The family moved to a temporary residence somewhere within the Black Morass. Zelphie's father, Grimluck Eredemire, was summoned by either Gul'dan himself or apprentices (sources vary) to begin practice of warlock arts. Gul'dan believed that albeit the orc race was powerful enough in destroying Azeroth, teaching some of it's indigenous and neutral races the arts would help spread the burning legion's influence. As the war soured, the family decided to abandon the orcs and seek refuge north in Gnomeregan.

Shortly before the second war, the host of Zelphie's family was reaching it's limits of hospitality by the city, with their study of warlock magic influencing others and causing the occasionally lethal disturbance. They were asked to leave the city during the second war, charged with assisting the alliance with alchemical and basic engineering means. Knowing the general alliance's hatred and distrust of demonic magic, they practiced in secret during the campaigns until after the second war. Shortly before the third war, the family took across the ocean with members of Kul Tiras to permanently settle in Dustwallow Marsh. Zelphie says the reason they left was to persue magic neutrally, and that they had heard of ancient mysteries within the swamps. The Eredemire Estate was created, southwest of the Shady Rest Inn. Soon however, the Stonemaul Ogres had heard of their occupation, and would constantly be a disturbance to the family.

Zelphie had mastered most of the magic that her father could teach her, and decided to leave temporarily to continue her engineering studies taken up in Gnomeregan. Within a year of her arrival, the Trogg invasion began. At first her magic and the traditional arcane, as well as the mechanical devices of the city were enough to repel, but the continuous waves eventually forced them into the current state. After abandoning the city, she decided to return home, but due to war efforts was stalled for several months. Finally when she came home, she found her estate in ruins. The remaining structures that stood housed Stonemaul ogres, converting it into a village. Seeing this, as well as several skeletons and skulls as ornament on grounded pikes, her soulfire burned to immense proportions. She slaughtered every last ogre in the village. Shortly after, nowhere to go, she sought refuge in Kharanos, like many gnomes.

It always wondered her how her father, a warlock of more power than her, hadn't been able to save the estate, and believed he could have died to a greater being lurking in the swamps, or perhaps, be still alive. With later discoveries of the Wyrmbog dragonkin, a pang of guilt occasionally reaches her that the ogres may have not been responsible for her family's demise after all. Still a mystery, she seeks solace and answers from this tragedy.

OOC:
History past this char bio is written in "The Amazing Adventures of Zelphie!" (http://wow-tng.org/showthread.php?t=6019) series. Since I levelled her up so long ago, I am basically writing as well as I can the past stories of levelling this toon up. I've made 2 70's since then, and several characters on other servers before Zelphie however none as I levelled do I cherish more than this toon.

I know there may be less than a handful, but if any of you recount your experiences with my character Zelphie, in the early days of the server, feel free to share!

Bir smiled wide at the goblin reporter, crossing his legs in his chair.

"How far can I kick a gnomie you say? Well, we could always find out."
