Itakae unconsciously rubbed the fresh fire-burn on her stomach as she sat atop the water off the coast of Ratchet, deep in thought. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to clear her mind, but her thoughts refused to give her rest. For all of her efforts at making peace with her Alliance brethren, they had once again repaid her with nothing more than a fireball in the stomach and spit in her face. She sighed inwardly, breathing slowly, an unsuccessful attempt at curing her nausea. She was beginning to despair, the recent number of fireballs, swords, and daggers that had met her skin had left their mark, and she was exhausted, not to mention sore.

Wha’ don’ ah do som’tin at stop all dis? She thought to herself, lying down on the waters surface. Ah coul’ figh’ dem, kill dem befo’ dey kill me, but…

Jutte. The name, no, the vision of the human man plagued her mind. The recent ambushed seemed unimportant when she thought of him, a strong, proud human who had dared to enjoy the company of the Trolless. It was because of him that she would not fight the alliance. In the eyes of the Darkspear shaman, Jutte was the alliance. He was her vision of all that was good and noble about them, and not even the mistakes of his brothers in arms would turn her against him, his allies, or his kin.

She closed her eyes, meditating silently, attempting to connect with the elements. It was not through her planning that she had crossed pathes with the human Paladin, nor had she ever heard his name before that day in Ratchet when she met Lady Persefani of Sacred Fire. Jutte had accompanied the lady-Paladin, most likely in an attempt to protect her from the ‘savege’ horde, or maybe he had come only to keep a watchful eye on the holy woman and her elven Blood Knight lover. Whichever it was, Itakae did not know, nor did she really care. What she did know was that Jutte was at her side the entire evening at the faire, and though he was quite drunk for most of the time, he seemed to be enjoying her company, troll and all.

Itakae sighed heavily, her heart aching, remembering his tale of the events that occured later that night. It seemed that after the group slowly disbanded and headed towards their homes, the brave human man had tried to return to Mulgore in search of her, but instead of Itakae, he had found only eager blades of the ‘savage’ folk he had tried to avoid. The Shamaness placed a fragile blue hand over her heart, feeling a tinge of pain remembering his telling of the story, cursing herself inwardly. She knew, had she been there, she would have been able to protect him, to save him from the pain her allies had caused him. Yet somehow, despite the terrible behaviour of her allies, the Paladin still had a desire to see her.

They met almost daily the week after their meeting at the Faire, most of the time they met in Booty Bay, and shared a drink as they smiled at one another and attempted to communicate through hand gestures. The unlikely pair even managed to teach each other some works in the other’s language. Itakae smiled happily to herself, remembering how proud she was when she finally understood the strange sounds that meant her name in his language.

Though she had enjoyed her time with Jutte in Booty Bay, the over-eager Trolless felt that it was not enough. Despite her better judgement, she visited the Witch Doctor in Sen’Jin village, and was granted a human body, though the spell would only last her ten days. Fully aware of the painful consequences of her actions, the shamaness accepted his deal, and was born into the body of a human priestess in Elwynn Forest.

Itakae smiled remembering her time in human form, it had been one of the happiest times of her life in recent times. She was amazed by how happy the humans seemed, how carefree many of them were. Many of them had not experienced the terrible losses that her friends in Durotar had, and she was happy for them. Unfortunately, her time in human form passed by all too quickly, and she soon found herself bloody and beaten at the gates of Sen’Jin village. Her only real regret though, was the terrible quarrel she had with her holy man right before the death of her human form.

A fish jumping out of the water startled her, snapping her mind back into the present, Itakae reached into her backpack and pulled out a small metal machine and poked at it absent-mindedly. She stared up at the night sky over the sea for a time, admiring the light of the stars in the heavens, then pressed the small round button on the machine.

“Mandos? Goth, bur novas gol!” The male voice said from some unknown place. “Mandos, rogresh goth Wirsh? Mandos?”

Itakae smiled to herself, then began to chant softly, her eyes closed tightly, letting the words slowly sink in to her consciousness, trying to place his words. She felt a warmth come over her body, her mind expanding, drinking the words into her being.

“Itakae? Oh it is you! Itakae, are you there? Itakae?”

She breathed a deep, cleansing breath, and spoke into the box, trying her hardest to speak orcish clearly, so that the machine would be able to translate her words for him.

“’s me, Jutte,” she breathed. “’s me.” Her thin blue hands shook slightly as she held the box close to her face. It had been only a few of days since the spell the Witchdoctor had given her had worn off, but already she craved the sound of his voice, and missed understanding his words.

“Ita,” She heard his gentle voice whisper from inside of the strange gnomish box. “I have missed you”

Itakae smiled happily to herself, splashing her hands in the water next to her. That was all she wanted to hear.

Tillna looked around for her newest pack member. She told him to meet her here. It only ment that he had been killed or found another of his kind in heat. She knew it was the latter, as even she, being the Alpha of her pack woudl almost want to give into him.

"I swear..allaince or horde, they're always late."

She glanced at the young troll near the water, the contempt smile on her face reminding her of something.

"In love?" The older more battle hardened troll asked.

Itakae's ear twitched at the sound of the other troll's voice. Stuffing the gnomish box back into her backpack, she turned around and smiled shyly.

"Ah... Ah dunno. Mebbe.."

Itakae looks down at her hands and sighs.

"Cen ya... cen ya really tell?"

Tillna

"I jsut know I used to be like that about some one...our predicament made meeting difficult...but we worked things out. I cna offer an ear and some advice if you want."

06-09-2007, 08:29 PM
"Eh... "

Itakae's ears twitch uncontrolably and her face turns a deeper shade of blue.

"Ah guess... Ah guess ah don' really know wha' ah'm doin!" She laughs nervously.

"Ah mean... 'e be a human. Da be a li'l strange, ain it?"

Tillna
06-09-2007, 08:53 PM
Tillna shrugged, sitting down.

"The first member I added to my pack became my mate. And he is an Elf. They killed my older brother...and I hate them for it...but I just fell in love with him. I couldn't do anythign about it. He fathered my child as well.."

She sighed,smiling.

"Sometimes, all you have to do is follow your heart, where ever it leads you'

Itakae

Itakae cocks her head to the side.

"Yo mate be 'n elf? Da's in'trestin. 'ow'd da' 'appen. Ah mean... 'f elfies kill'd yo brutha..."

She sighs, looking out on to the water.

"Sometahms ah tink da hear' dunno wha' i's doin."

"I wass out in the woods, on my personal night, and was jsut hunting, when I found him, being made a meal by some other Worgen. I killed them, and something told me to turn him, and then, befor eI realized it, I fell in love with him.."

She sighed, staring off.

"And now I have a son, more or less, and a pack of my own. My heart never told me where it was going, but I like where it ended"

Itakae
06-10-2007, 09:15 AM
Itakae smiled sadly at the other troll.

"Ah'm real gla' dat tings turn out so well fo ya. Bein' able ta raise a chil' in dis worl' ne hah'd nuff... much less a chil' who fatha be elf."

She sighs and sadly looks down at her hands again.

"Ah jus dunno wha'ta do. Ah tink dis Paladin gonna be da deatha me someday soon, ah'm sca'd!"

Tillna

"Well, not all to well really...but..how did you meet this man? How do you speak to him?"

She looked interested, her red eyes focused in on the younger Troll.

She stares off into the distance, sighing.

"'e foun' me. 'e be a memba o' Sacred Fire, guild lead by a goo' frienda mahn, Persef'ni. Jutte came wit' 'er when she came ta da Faire las' tahm i' was in Mulgore."

She looks over at the older trolless and laughs.

"Ah tink 'e musta been real drunk, ah mean, wha kin'a human mon 'angs ou' wit' a Trolless fo' hou's at da faire!"

She smiles, shaking her head, and still laughing softly.

"We use dis ting ta talk," Itakae pulls the metal box out of her backpack. "Sometin 'e made, ah dunno how really, but i' lets us talk ta each otha, no matta where we be, an it translates fo us too, it's kin'a nahs.. ih'd be hah'd wit'ou dis ting, Ah don speak common, an' 'e coul'n speak Troll ta save 'is lahf!"

SHe snickers to her self quietly.

"My mate learned Trollish from his brother. It was...interesting..to say the least. Problem is, I am still persacuted because of the way we are.."

She sighed and looked to her.

"You must promise though..to never loose him..to anything. When you can promise that, with your whole being...then..then you can now.."

She smiled happily, ruffling hte younger trolls hear

((I need toi stop posting when tired....So many bad mistakes..*Stabs self in eye*))

She nodded and stood up, smiling, her sharp teeth poking out.

"I must be off then. The hunt begins now."

She walked off, her features changing slowly. And then, in the blink of an eye, she ewas gone, off running to the wilderness

Itakae smiled and waved to the older troll.

"Fire be wicha, stranga," She whispered as the trolless disapperared into the distance. Itakae looked down at the sand on the beach, drawing figured in the sand with her toe, thinking about the words of the more experiences Troll.

Hearing the howl of the hunt. Azrid’s heart jumps with excitement, he hadn’t seen his mate in some time, and hadn’t hunted in even longer. His travels had taken him away from her, but he missed her so, and nothing would stop him from finding her…

Since his change his skills in hunting had increased ten folds, and instead of just looking at track he could smell them. It told him so much more than the things he had learned from his Father. Things like if an animal was sick or dehydrated, if it was hot and sweating, or scared… All these things thanks to her… his mate, Tillna…

Responding to her howl he calls out to let her know he will be joining her for tonight’s hunt. Shifting into his worgen form he followed the smell of female Troll down the hill and acrossed the sands, slowly he crept up keeping low to the grown and nose to the wind. “There!” he though as he saw the figure standing in the bright sun. With a great leap he bounded over her head landing fangs and claws bared snarling, more as a joke then to actually scare his love, but upon landing he isn’t faced with the strong red eyes, and brilliant red Mohawk. Instead he lands and sees a very scared younger troll girl, frozen in fear. His expression turns immediately to confusion, cocking his head to the side.

Itakae jerked her body back in surprise and screamed in fear at the sight of the Worg, baring its fangs at her. She gazed up fearfully into the creatures eyes, wondering what to do next, and was surprised to see that the creature was not going to attack her. She forced a nervous smile.

"Uh... Hah.. Ah'm Ita."

Laron
06-12-2007, 09:08 AM
In a deep low tone Azrid works out the Troll words. “You… no… Tillna…” Not knowing how the troll would react to a Night elf being here, he decides to make sure she doesn’t see him in his birth form. “Ita… You look more Troll woman?” The words were hard enough to pronounce with an elven tongue. Doing it with a canine mouth was even harder.

Itakae
06-12-2007, 11:29 AM
Her ears twitched nervously as she eyed the beast.

"Tillna.. Oh she be gone nah, ah tink she be lookin fo' 'er mate."

Something was not right about the creature in front of her, she sniffed the air. 'Elf?' She thought to herself, eyeing the worg once again. 'no...' Curiously, she looked up at the beast and attempted to tap into her long lost knowledge of Darnassian from her childhood.

"Yoo real elf?"

Laron
06-12-2007, 12:50 PM
Azrid's is suddenly, afraid that this younger Troll will show the same blind fury his own mate shows Elves. Showing teeth, he does his best to look intimidating. His white fur shining in the hot sun, he steps back waiting for attack. After watching the Troll's posture for a change, the lack of aggression assures him he is safe to shift back to his Elf form, so his speech was easier. His beard was kept trimmed something he had started with Laron's wedding. His green hair pulled back in a ponytail, and his armor sat looser on his frame now.

"Aye, me be real, an Ah not lookin fo ah fight, Ah just lookin for me Mate."

Itakae
06-12-2007, 01:41 PM
"Troll no hurt elf," Itakae said softly in rough Darnassian, pointing to her mace and shield sitting on the ground next to her. "I friend to human, friend to elf."

She smiles at the elf, looking tired.

"Elf mate go there," She pointed off into the distance. "She go look for elf."

Laron
06-12-2007, 02:18 PM
The words rang in his ear, "Friend to Human..." Looking off to the distance, he thinks to himself "Well at least one of us is..." Looking back he sees the sorrow on her face.

"Why ya sa sad chile? I did'ta scare ya that bad di Ah?"
Sitting next to her in the sand. "Or there be sumthan else bothrin ya?" Azrid was never good at being suave, but was real good at reading girls that have things they need to talk about. Some of his best talks with Amadare were spent just listening. "Tillna wont be goin far she will track me down, I already gave er my howl, ta let er know I be round.."

Itakae
06-12-2007, 08:21 PM
Itakae smiled shyly at the elf, understanding that he meant her no harm.

"Ah'm fahn," She said quietly, switching back to troll. "Ya sca'd me a bit is all. 's been a hahd day an such.. I realleh din' exspec' ta see a Worg jumpin infronta mah face."

She looked over at the elf, then back down at the sand. Her expression slowly melted into one of sadness.

"Ah jus.. Ah jus miss someone real bad is all."

Laron
06-13-2007, 08:59 AM
Placing his hand on her shoulder, keeping himself respectful, he offers his condolence. “Did… did ya loose someone to da Nether? I… am gonna loose Tillna to the Nether someday… But plan to be makin da best o what we ave.” Looking back at her. “Ya people don’t live to be ta old…” Sniffing the air he checks to see if his mate is around.

Itakae
06-13-2007, 09:21 AM
Itakae smiled sadly looking over at the elf.

"Ah dunno if ah los' im yet... 'e be missin fo days an Ah don speaka wor'da 'is language.. sah ah can' ask where 'e be..."

She sighs and pokes at the metal box. "'is ting mus' be broken.. ah can' even talk ta im wit it anymore."

She looks over at the elf, this time sympatheticly.

"Ya live real long, doncha elves?" She sighed. "We trolls... we live real sho't lives.. Tillna be lucky ta 'ave someone who be dere wit her, even doh 'er lahf be sho'ta den yo's. 'f ah eva fin' mah Jutte 'gain.. ah ain lettin 'im outta mah sight till ah'm dead."

06-13-2007, 09:41 AM
Sighing, Azrid looks down again. "What be is name? I pose I can write da Huma... I mean dis man." Looking back at her, he smiles. "An mebe I teach you a few words in da common speak. But ma Brother be better at speakin da Troll speak dan I be."

Itakae
06-13-2007, 04:14 PM
"Jutte Nagas," She whispered, saying his name strangely unaccented. "'e be missin' doh..."

Itakae giggled. "Ya tink ya cen teach me some wor's in common?"

Laron
06-13-2007, 05:35 PM
"Jutte huh?" Scratching his beard. Hmm, I maat be able ta teach a few ward, but ma Brotha is betta at da Troll speak." Thinking to when Tillna started to teach him, he went with basics.

"Hello"... "Ello Mon"
"I am"..."I be"
"Human"..."umon"
"Troll"..."Jin"
"Kiss"... "Put Lips"
"Love"... "Heart"

"I know no what ya wanting with dis uman, but if ya mean ta be with him, like my mate be with me..." He moves closer, and whispers. "I got some otha wards that you might want to be knowin."

Itakae
06-13-2007, 06:19 PM
Itakae giggled softly under her breath, blushing slightly, and whispered, "Ah tink 'e ahlready taugh' me mosta dose words.."

She laughs again, this time loudly, smiling broadly at the elf.

"Ah miss 'im!"

Laron
06-13-2007, 06:45 PM
Realizing that he is talking to a woman about the subject, Azrid blushes a deep purple. Even after all the things Tillna had taught him, and the things he had learned, he was still shy around women... "Where you see da man last? Mebe I ca fin im? Afta da Hunt..?" Looking up suddenly! "The Hunt..!" Standing up, he had forgotten that his Alpha had called and he wasn't there. "I hafta get goin, I will track ya down afta dis." Shifting to his Worgen form he ran off towards the woods to find his mate.

Itakae
06-13-2007, 11:32 PM
Itakae giggled seeing the Elf turn a deeper shade of purple, remembering Jutte's initial shyness in her presence. She smiled, nodded, and waved at the Elf as he transformed and ran off into the distance in search of Tillna.

"Ah tink ah'll still be 'ere mon."

'Ah wonda if Sefi sen' me anytin',' She thought to herself, heading toward the Ratchet inn to check her mailbox. She looked in the mailbox, and found a worn letter from Persefani, her face paled.

Ita,

I'm afraid I don't have any good news for you.
Jutte has been Missing for days now, and the
papers have declared him dead. I believe he is still alive,
and I will be out looking for him this weekend. Do not give
up hope, I will find him.

Sefi

The body of the Trolless shook, and she collapsed into the dirt sobbing. 'Wah.. Ah can' handle dis 'gain.. wah..' She curled up into a ball, lying in the dirt sobbing loudly.

Sevilawa
06-14-2007, 02:31 AM
A trolless with pale blue skin and intricate, ice-colored braids strides the dusty streets of Ratchet, dressed in a fine new leather tunic. Her large amber eyes are fixed on the sea, a distant expression on her face as she gazes out over the horizon. So lost is she in contemplation that she doesn't notice the other troll until she is almost on top of her. The sound of tormented sobs finally pierces her reverie, and an expression of surprise and dismay dawns across her face as she realizes that she knows the stricken trolless.

"Itakae?" She asks urgently in oddly accented Troll, dropping to her knees beside the other. "Be you harmed, Itakae? What ails ye?"

Itakae
06-14-2007, 04:48 PM
Itakae slowly uncoiled her body, looking up at the worried face of another female troll, her face dirty from the tears mixed with dry sand. She sighed in relief seeing a familiar face looking down at her. Still sobbing, the trolless wiped the tears from her cheeks and stood to meet the paler Trolless.

"'ey dere Sevi," she sniffed, wiping her eyes. "Ah'm sarreh fo' scarin ya, ah'm fahn, see?"

She forced herself to smile at Sevilawa, feeling rather embarassed for making such a scene.

Sevilawa

The pale colored troll's brows crunch together in a concerned frown.

"Ah hope ye take no offense mon, but ah don' quite believe ye... Wah ya been cryin'?"

Hesitantly, she reaches out a three finger hand and pats Itakae lightly on the shoulder, somewhat at a loss as to how to best handle the situation. After all, the older trolless is far more experienced in the world, what advice could a novice like herself provide? Then a sudden idea takes root in her mind, and a smile steals over her features.

"Hey, ah be havin' an idea. How's if ah buy ye a pint in dat pub der?" She points up the hill from the mailbox. "Dat always help wit heartache. Come on, Ah have more silver heah den ah be needin'."

Amadare had become a regular at the Ratchet Pub. This day was no different... Maybe she was trying to drink her memory of him away... It wasn't working, but it made the pain duller. The bar was packed. Not a seat in the place, save the two at her table, which none of the younger Hordling, even think to sit with a Kal'dorei. Looking up from her Volatile Vodka she sees two Troll females walk in, one has dirt on her face and looks as though she had been crying. They walk past her looking for a seat, but non are to be had. As they look back at the two seats at her table, Amadare pushes one chair out with her foot and gestures with a black clawed hand and a smile, that they are welcome to sit.

Sevilawa
06-15-2007, 06:08 PM
There was barely room to move about the crowded tavern, and seats were sparse. Sevilawa wrinkled her nose, eyes flicking from table to table, eying the broad assortment of patrons. The crowd was largely made up of the races of the Horde, with here and there an alliance or two. In a back corner, a pair of humans were leaning close to one another and gesturing wildly, rambling loudly in Common. Sevi lifted one lip in distaste before returning to a hunt for a seat.

The sight of a Night Elf female beckoning from an otherwise empty table was the last thing she expected to see. Her first reaction was to tighten her fingers around the spike-studded mace at her side and dart a glance behind her, lest the table's occupant be motioning some companions behind her to attack the troll pair. But behind her was nothing but more would-be tavern customers, each like her scouring the floor for a place to sit.

She had no real reason to dislike night elves personally, beyond the fact that they were known for their dislike of Trolls. That and the daunting fact that they were allies of the Humans, which automatically gave Sevilawa a reason to doubt their trustworthiness... Biting her lip in indecision, she glances over at Itakae, watching to see her response.

Itakae
06-15-2007, 06:12 PM
Itakae looked over at Sevilawa and gave a quick nod.

"Ah tink we be fahn," She said in hushed troll. "Da elfie ain gonna 'arm us 'ere, Sevi."

Itakae grew nervous. She had remembered Sevilawa's disdain for humans, and was at a loss at how she was to explain the fact that she was distraut over the fact that a certain human had gone missing. Silently, Itakae took a seat next to the Kaldorei, nodding slightly and looking over at her.

As the Trolless that looked as though she had been crying, sits down, a man stumbled to the table, almost knocking over Amadare's drink. She hated crowds, but with her recent attempt to drink herself silly, she was getting used to crowded bars and pubs.

"Hey Shweety, whash ya doin in a thish like place?"

Angry at males anyway, she places her hand on his and drives her bear claws into the flesh of his hand. "You're not welcome at my table Human!" The crowd was so thick the bouncers could not even see what had happened, as the man stumbles outside to dunk his hand in the troth. Speaking in very Crude drunk Orchish, Amadare smiles.

"He loosh more if me have bite he."

Itakae
06-15-2007, 09:52 PM
Itakae laughed in spite of herself, looking over at Sevilawa, then quickly covering her mouth with a blue, three fingered hand.

"Bad man," Itakae said in broken Darnassian, motioning toward the drunken man. "No good man, Itakae happy Kaldorei here."

Itakae smiled broadly and giggled. Her eyes scanned the room, and she beckoned the barkeep over with a quick hand motion.

"Ah need Rum fo mahself an Sevi 'ere," She said in accented orcish, then she looked over at the Kaldorei. "Bring some fo 'er too."

Sevilawa
06-16-2007, 03:45 AM
Sevilawa followed Itakae's lead, seating herself in the chair further away from the elf and keeping an eye on her with sidelong glances.

When the drunken human staggers over she has time to half-rise from her chair, tusks fully bared in a snarl, before the elf intervenes on her own. Eyes wide, she hesitates for a moment, too shocked to sit down, staring wide-eyed at their table companion. An elf fighting a human? Granted, he had been drunk and what he said could have been a threat, but even so...

Suddenly, she felt quite a bit better about their new acquaintance. Sitting back down, she offers the Kaldorei a shy smile. She speaks only a scant handful of words in Common, so instead she replies in simple Orcish. "Dat were good, mon." Her foreign accent mixed with her native trollish lilt makes for a strange mix, but she hopes the elf will understand.

In all of the excitement, she'd momentarally forgotten their reason for being here in the first place. Itakae's mention of rum however reminds her of why they were to be drinking it in the first place.

On a whim, she speaks in Orcish so that the elf might be able to understand some of it. "So tell me, Itakae. Why you be so sad?"

Itakae
06-16-2007, 10:58 AM
Itakae nervously paid the bartender and passed the drinks to the other two women, trying to think of a story to tell Sevilawa that had no mention of the words 'human lover'.

"Ah jus' go' real ba' news bout someone important ta me is all," She said in orcish, gulping down her rum and trying to pass off her previous display of sorrow as nothing. "Ah let da mom'nt get da besta me, Ah'm fahn nah.. realleh."

She forced an unconvincing smile and looked down at her empty mug. The room was loud, and her ears twitched nervously, in part due to the crowd, and in part due to her indiscript story to Sevilawa. She hoped beyond all hope that Sevi would leave it at that, and not ask anymore questons about who this person was. She began playing with her necklace, the charm her deceased mate had given her at their ceremony. Squeezing it tight, she thought of Zenijin, then Jutte. She was not going to lose another man she cared about.

Sevilawa
06-16-2007, 02:22 PM
Sevilawa frowned. She knew her mentor well enough to see through her false smile, and she also knew that Itakae wouldn't be one to fall apart over something that wasn't actually important to her. Why was she being so secretive?

"Lissen, Itakae. Ye can tell me. What kinda bad news, hey? Mebbe Ah can help ye wit' whatevah it be!"

In between words she gulps down long pulls of her rumsey rum, welcoming the warmth of it spreading through her belly.

Itakae
06-16-2007, 03:12 PM
Itakae sighed nervously, her ears twitching again. 'Avoid the word human' She said to herself, 'Sevi never needs to know that he is human.'

"Dis mon ah been seein, Ah jus' hear' dat 'e maht be dead," she picked up her empty mug and stared down inside it. "Ah jus' don' wanna lose 'nutha mon."

She set the mug down on the table.

"Ya got any Cherry Grog from Booty Bay?" She asked the goblin in orcish. The goblin nodded, and brought her a fresh mug of grog, wich Itakae sipped lightly, hoping her explanation was satisfactory.

Sevilawa
06-16-2007, 04:41 PM
Sevi's eyes go wide at the news. "Oh, Itakae! Ah be so sorry, mon!" Without warning, and probably due in some part to the large amount of rum so quickly consumed, she throws her wiry arms around the older trolless. It never occurs to her that Itakae's 'mon' could be anything other than another troll. "Well, we can't jus' sit heah an wait fo someone else ta tell us what be happenin'! Wah don't we go fin' 'im? Ah'm sure dere be hope, any troll dat you call yo's mus' be strong 'nuff ta hold him own!"

"Sevi," She said sighing heavily and taking another sip of her cherry grog. "Me mon, 'e be real strong. An ah know 'im well, 'e be comin bac' on 'is own, ah'd 've nah ahdea whe' ta even look fo 'im."

She sighed again, looking down at her backpack lying next to her feet on the floor.

Sevilawa's lips tightened around her tusks in an expression of disapproval. "Ah be strong, too," she muttered, swigging another large gulp of rum. "Ah wouldn' get hurt!" She held up one hand, letting threads of lightning tangle around her fingers. The expression on Ita's face didn't look particularly easy to persuade, however, and she let the lightning fizzle out. "But if yo trust him, den ah'm sure him find he way back to ya."

A mischievous smile swept over her face. "But we can't jus' have ye sittin' here, ye'll go crazah waitin'! What we need be a distraction." With that, she tilts her head back and drains the last of her second rum.

Itakae smiled at Sevilawa, watching the lightening curl around her fingers.

"Ya mon," She giggled, opening her palm to free a gust of wind. "Ya be stron', ah know it!"

She picked up her mug of Cherry Grog, downing it in one gulp.

"Sah wacha 'ave in min'?" She said, looking over at Sevilawa. "Wah kin'a distraction?"

A broad grin spread across Sevilawa's face at the praise from her mentor.

"Well, ah'm sure dere be a gnome or two down bah de docks... we coul' see how fah can t'row dem!" After she said it, it occured to her that tormenting gnomes might not exactly be at the top of Itakae's list of fun things to do. Quick on the heels of that thought came the realization that the elf sitting beside them might also not be too keen on the idea of a pair of trolls inflicting violence on a member of her faction.

"Or we could ahm... ah... Well, dere's always ahm... more rum?" She coughed delicately, hoping to have passed off the indiscretion without causing trouble.

She covered her mouth with her hands, trying to keep herself from laughing, and shot Sevi a glance as if to say, 'be careful'. She turned over to the elf to see her reaction.

"Dere always be rum," Itakae giggled, glancing over at the bartender. She smiled to herself. Things were going to be allright. She knew it, she knew Jutte would come home, and Sevi would grow stronger in the way of the spirits. All would be well.

Amadare sat quietly trying to understand the conversation. but was on;t getting a few words. Like Love and man and Gnome, but most of it didn't make sence. Downing her drink, she sets the glass back on the table, and looks to the Trolless with the white hair. "Why we need man anyway, they only wound... um... chest? is that word?" Staring at her empty glass she means to order another round but begins staring at the two trolls who are starting to look more elven by the minute. Placing her slender hand on the others three fingered hand, she stares at it in wonder. "You no, We Know so different... Looking back at her drinking friends ears."

Sevilawa grins lopsidedly at the elf's broken Orcish, understanding the idea she was conveying.

"Heart be dat word," she replies, tapping her free hand against her chest. "Ah hope ah nevah have de bad luck ta fall in love, mon. No offense, Ita," she glances over at her friend, "but ah jus' don' think anyting could eva' be wort' so much trouble."

The elf's comment catches her drunken interest. "Not so differen', hey?" She brushes a finger against her own long, pointed ear, a contemplative expression on her face. "Ah don' tink dat mos' people be seein' it dat way any time soon. You know," she said, eyes brightening. "Dere were one Night Elfie on mah ship. 'Ee wasn' so bad."

Itakae stared down at her hands as Sevilawa and the elf conversed, pressing her lips tightly together. Her mind felt hazey, all males had ever brought her was trouble, heartache, or both, but she could not shake the thoughts of Jutte from her mind. She had to find him. She was not going to lose him, she promised herself. He was her reason for wanting to make peace in the war torn world, he was the reason she would not give up. Without a word, Itakae stood up and headed outside, the whispers on the wind were troubling to her.

"Ship? is that word for boat?"

Amadare's head was feeling washed over after she had downed her rum. Mixing with the Vodka she had drank earlier. "You be on a boat? With... Elf man?" She thinks that most Night elves that serve on ships are pirates, but she figured it would be rude to ask. Her mouth had other ideas...

"You be on boat with person steal? What is word, Pie rat?"

Shaking her head she looks at her empty glass. Barkeep we neesh more drink my mug ish empty. Resuming her converation, she looks back at the white haired trolles.

"You too pretty to be stuck on boat... not around Humans..." Staring off she continues with a surrow in her voice. "With they little short life..." Shaking her head again, she looks back at her.

"You know ever love man?"

"Aye mon, ship be big boat dat sail de ocean." At the elf's mention of piracy, a grin of reckless pride spreads over her face. "Ah be a pirate, mon! Least ways... I were a pirate... Ah don't know dat Ah can call meself dat anymoh..."

She frowns at being called pretty, wondering if the elf is making fun of her, but the thought of insults is quickly washed away by the uplifted spirits of too much to drink. Within moments she is smiling drunkenly again. "Nah, love don't be da ting foah me, mon. Ah ain' gonna be tahyin mahself down ta any man!"

Amadare's Mouth drops. The alchohol had gone to her head and she could barely understand Common, let alone Toll.

"Did yoush jush shay you love to be tiesh down?"

Blushing a deep purple, her pupils turned to thin feline slits, with the thought of having a man do that to her. Smiling and giggling, she sat thinking about the all manner of naughty things that could be done with rope, and starts to purr unconsciously. "Dish ya eva get tosh be with the Elf man? I gots to be wich one once..." She strayed off her face turning to sorrow.

"Tied down?" She wrinkles her nose, or tries to. The drunken result is a half-cross eyed expression which dissolves into a slurred giggle, partially at herself, partially at her companion's blushing face. "Nevah an elfie, no mon..."

She trails off at the sadness on the elf's face, concern on her features. "Hey..." she asks slowly. "Be you sad? What happen?"

((That would be awesome! I'll certainly be around...))

Looking up at the Trolless with a thought of some clarity. "Troll grow back after hurt? Right?" Her thought trailing off to the few Troll males she had encountered... most of them smelled horrid. Turning her thoughts back to the woman sitting right in front of her and shaking her head. "No.. they smell bad..." Leaning incredibly close to the woman, she sniffs her neck. "You know smell bad. Why males?"

Understanding the elf's broken Orcish took an incredible amount of concentration through the haze of rum-induced inebriation. Sevilawa squinted one amber eye closed as she listened, as if that would help comprehension. She managed to glean that the woman had been in love with a human and then an elf, the latter of whom had not reciprocated her affections...

Her musings were cut short as she suddenly finds herself in very close proximity to the elf. Instinct told her to leap back and reach for her weapon, but thus far this member of the Alliance had shown her no ill will. With an extreme act of effort she held herself completely still, barely daring to breathe.

Sevilawa's pale skin smells more of the sea than anything else - wild and clean with the faintest hint of salt tang, mingled with the slight dust-scent of a day spent on the rough streets of Ratchet.

This close, she can see the elf's shoulder and the side of her face. Yes, the ear was slightly longer and more tapered, the shoulder was of a lither build, but aside from those small differences she could almost have been another troll. Suddenly she realized that she had been asked a question, and managed to stutter an answer. "Ah... ah don' know. Ah haven' spent much time wit odder trolls, 'a tell ya da trut'... Can be it help dem wit' findin' each odder oah bindin' off territor' or sometin'..."

Looking at her, Amadare notices the subtle differences that she hadn’t noticed with Tillna, as she tried not to stare at her Sister –in law. The small tusks that protruded from her wide smile. The almost white hair, much like her fathers was before he left. Sitting in the seat next to Sevilawa, Amadare lightly touched her hair, almost afraid to do so, from what she knew of Trolls made them monsters, like any other beast of the Horde, but this woman seemed almost afraid she was going to shift into her bear form and eat her.

“I… I know hurt, you.”

Placing her hand on Sevilawa’s, she smiled. “You safe wish me.” The alcohol had made her head start to swim. Holding her head in one hand, she looks at the barkeep to bring her bill and the key to her room. “You gots room tonight? You stay mine, I know need bed.” Remembering the other Trolless outside, she smiles, “You friensh stay if want two.” Looking at the couples in the room and the lonely males at the bar, realizing she might take one back to her room if she is alone, she turns back to her drinking companion. “I know want be alone tonight.”

Sevilawa surprised even herself by bursting into a hearty laugh. Here she was, would-be warrior of the horde, being offered shelter and good-will by a defender of the Alliance. And despite her initial distrust of the elf woman, she found that she truly felt no ill intent from her companion and honestly believed that she would do her no harm. Concentrating, she delved deep into memories of her past, dredging up a heavily accented phrase in Common.

"Thank you. I..." She trails off, unable to remember any more. Again in simple Orcish she continues, "I would like tha'. Ya been real kin' ta me."

Stumbling to her room, Amadare turns to the Trolless, and smiles. "Here room." Unlocking the door she sniffs the air before entering dark room. Lighting the lantern, after fumbling with it for a bit and almost dropping it, she giggles to Sevilawa about how drunk she had gotten. "Here, take. No want fire." She says handing the lantern to the other woman, and starts to loosen her armor. Fidgeting with her shoulder padding, she finally gets it off and lets it drop to the ground. Undoing her buckles on her leather jacket, she stretches and yawns pulling it off with her shirt at the same time. Then untying her pants, she lets them drop to the floor as well, leaving her naked for the brief moment before shifting into her panther form, and hops up on the bed. Using her front paws to kneed the bed to a soft comfortable spot, she then balls up in a position with one of her back paws hanging off the bed. Opening one eye, she grunts out in simple Orcish, "Lock door please" before drifting off and starting to purr.

Sevi fares little better with the lamp, nearly dropping it herself as she fumbles, finally settling for setting it on the floor. A gust of wind twines around her fingers and away, extinguishing the lantern flame. After locking the door, she folds her leather armor as neatly as possibly in her drunken state, leaving her in her linen shift. At first she nearly opts for curling up on the rough mat on the room floor, but finally decides that she won't get much rest that way, and besides, the panther isn't taking that much room. Clumbsily, she climbs onto the bed, stretching herself around the panther's position so as not to disturb the feline's slumber. Moments later, she's deeply asleep.

Her dreams were of children, the ones in her life. Andellyn, Pietro and little Zin'loh... Then of her mother, and her thoughts of nobility, and station... it was no wonder she broke inside, and left... But now she was an adult, and soon she would have to look for a good mate, but it was so difficult... Most men were frightened by her, and given the heritage of her niece and nephew's, it would be up to her to carry the family name.

She had almost taken any man to bed with her last night, if not for the company of... The Trolless... She rolled over to see the woman sleeping peacefully with her white hair still in braids. Amadare wanted to be held and there was nothing sexual about her actions when she nuzzled her head under the woman's arm and scooted closer in. "Maybe we all have things wrong in this non-war." She thought as she sniffed the woman one more time before drifting back to a more peaceful slumber, one free of bad dreams... of playing in the tall grass of the barrens and lounging in the sun... Her purring continued.

Sevilawa's dreams were not as peaceful.

She was in the fortress again. The human soldier towered over her eleven year old self, face in shadow but eyes blazing anger and hatred. He was shouting at her in harsh Common, expecting her to understand although he must know that she did not. In the darkness beyond him, other men laughed and jeered.

Her body ached. It seemed as if there was no part of her that did not hurt. It was hardly a surprise when the man's gauntleted hand whipped down, striking her across the face and sending her sprawling. Her ground-down tusks bit into the tender flesh on the inside of her mouth, drawing blood. He was still shouting. She understood one word, "basement", and bleak hopelessness filled her. Rough hands gripped her around the waist, hefting her like a sack of meal. She was tossed unceremoniously down a flight of rough stone stairs, only to land in a miserable heap on the dank floor.

Reality mingled with dream as a pair of glowing eyes lit from the darkness. One of the fortress cats, a tabby queen, much larger than she should have been, padded out of the shadows. She sniffed Sevilawa's tear-streaked face, licked her cheeck with a rough tounge, and curled up beside her, offering warmth and comfort.

On the inn bed, Sevilawa tightened her arms around the druid's feline form, a slight wimper escaping her sleeping lips.

She dreamed of the resent meeting with Verloran's new mate. How she played with Amadare in her wolf form, and licked her nose. She had touched the woman's Draenei tenticles, and it seemed to be a spot she shouldn't have touched on another woman... But in her dream they shot out at her wrapping around her neck and squeezing the life out of her!

He is mine, and you will never have him again!!"

The tighter grip and the image of the angry Draenei, woke Amadare from her sleep. She thought at first the woman was trying to strangle her in her sleep, but then heard the soft whimper of crying. "She must be having a bad dream... Elune knows that all of us do with the things we have seen..." Shifting back to her two leg form, she rolls over on her back and slips her arm under the woman's shoulder. Pulling her closer, she gently brushed her hair and held her close. "I guess you needed me as much as I need you tonight." Closing her glowing eyes, she smiles and drifts back to sleep.

Amadare wakes in the morning, having slept more peacefully than she had in quite some time. Her head pounded though as the sunlight streamed into the room through an opening I the brown dusty curtains. Laying her arm acrossed her eyes, to shade the sun, she notices a woman head resting peacefully on the left side of her soft bosom, moving up and down gently with the rise and fall of her breathing. Her other hand resting on the right side, with a content looks on her face.

"A woman!"

She thought to herself desperately trying to remember what happened last night! Amadare was naked, but that was how she slept, so that wasn't any real concern, but what she was doing in bed with a female, she hadn't a clue. As he looks closer at the braided white hair the laid over her arm, which was tucked neatly under the woman and holding her around the ribs, the events of what happened the night before started to come in focus "This is... a Troll, yes a Troll..." She though again as she breathed in her scent. "...Sevilawa.... that was her name... Wasn't it?" She laid there trying not to make any sudden movements, as she wasn't sure how much of the nights events, the sleeping trolless would remember as well. "I... invited her back here with me, so I wasn't alone... again... I remember now."

((Woo, awesome. :) ))

“A woman!”

The words cut through Sevilawa’s slumber and her vivid amber eyes fly open, darting around the room.

The first thing she is aware of is the headache. She squints, trying to block out the familiar dull throb. Too much rum again. The whitewashed walls and the eves above suggest a tavern room, and as she ponders back she remembers drinking with Itakae…

Her train of thought is interrupted as she realizes that something else is very much out of place. There are arms wrapped around her, and her head is resting on a pillowy soft chest – she can hear breathing. Sevi’s entire body tenses, wiry muscles hardening against… against what? She thinks quickly. If this were an attacker, she would surely be dead by now. And yet that smell was decidedly not trollish…

Slowly, with care not to seem threatening, she pushes herself into a sitting position, feeling terribly exposed in just her flimsy linen shift and smallclothes as she turns to face her invisible companion.

There beneath her lay a female night elf. A naked female night elf. Sevi’s mind goes blank as she scrambles to remember the previous night’s events. There are flickers of that face, something about the elf attacking a human, and had there been an enormous cat? She doesn't feel the fear and anger that would normally accompany the sight of any member of the Alliance when she looked at this elf. But that still didn’t explain…

“What,” she asked in breathless, careful Orcish, “happened?”

Laron

Amadare's head hurts, but her thoughts are clear now and her Orcish is more coherent.

"I no want be alone at night..."

She says as she notices the Trolless trying not to stare at her nakedness. Slowly slipping her feet off the bed she stands and stretches backwards opening her mouth wide and giving a slight growling grunt of enjoyment from the stretch.

"I not only one, need someone last night. You have bad dream?"

She looks for her shirt then her pants... Inspecting them for tears as she normally does, she is pleased that she doesn't have to sew them this morning. "You want eat?" She stopped dressing and looks back at Sevilawa with puzzlement. "What Trolls eat in morning? We sometime eat Berries, I like animal." She said as she rummage through her pack for a brush. Not even the least bit scared of the so called enemy.

The thought had crossed her mind as she woke, but after realizing that the girl was just as vulnerable as she was, and that the Trolless was probably more afraid of the Druid who could become a bear if she wanted too, then she was of the sweet looking girl sitting on the bed clutching the covers. Retrieving her brush she holds it out to her new friend.

"You want me tie hair for you?"

Sevilawa
07-23-2007, 09:09 PM
Sevi’s eyes widen momentarily as the elf stretches before she quickly looks away, the faintest of purple tinges coloring her cheeks. The elf undeniably has a very pretty figure. The trolless is definitely not unused to nudity, having spent much of her life aboard a ship where privacy was scarce, but the strangeness of the situation has caught her off guard.

The barrage of speech forces her back to her senses, and she swings up to sit on the edge of the bed, bending to retrieve her leather pants from the floor and begin pulling them on.

The elf’s words bring back more scraps of memory; talking about men, Itakae leaving, the two remaining companions stumbling back to the elf’s room, curling up on the edge of the bed… It was all a bit fuzzy and pieces were missing, but knowing what had happened assuaged many of her fears.

At the memory of the dream though, her face falls. The hurt there is only visible for a moment before she shoves it away, smoothing her features again. “Ah don’ remembah what Ah dreamed ‘bout,” she mutters. The mention of food is a welcome distraction, and she is suddenly aware of the hollow feeling of hunger in her stomach. “We be eatin’… fish, cactus apples, meat… anyting, really, Ah don’ be picky, mon.”

And then the elf was extending a brush to her, offering to tie it for her. She feels a tiny stab of emotion at the gesture; it is such a kind thing to do for someone who is really little more than a stranger. It occurs to her that she does not even know the she elf’s name.

Quickly she runs her fingers through her now untidy braids, removing the bits of colorful, beaded string that had held them in place. “T’anks, mon. Dat be… dat be real friendleh of yo’.”

Slowly, still moving with slight trepidation, she kneels with her back facing her companion, elbows resting on the side of the bed. Her ice-white hair is wild now that it’s removed from the confines of her braids – kinked and sticking out in all directions.

When she speaks again, the tentative tone of voice is beginning to fade a little. “Ah don’ tink Ah evah asked what yo’ name be las’ night. What you be call’?” She casts a curious glance back over her shoulder.

Pulling a chair up, she sat behind her new female friend, starting at the bottom, and working her way up.

"Me name... I... be called... Ama da re Redthorn, you Sevilawa? Yes? You have other name?"

Her trolless was worse than her Orcish, but Tillna and Azrid had only spoken it briefly around her. Nothing compared to Laron's skill in it though... She runs her hand through her silky white hair as she hums the little tune her mother hummed as she held Amadare down and brushed her rats nest...

As a little girl she always thought her hair was just fine as long as she licked it all straight and clean, but her mother always insisted that her hair be brushed to a nice shine and manageable. Looking at the glass beads that Sevi had removed she pondered how they got all of them in their hair by themselves, then she get an idea....

Running her nails lightly over her scalp, she made sure her hair was free of knots and able to be parted. Still humming the Elven tune, she neatly divided her hair, and started to Elven Braid her hair, placing the beads so that they were off by an inch, but patterned so that they didn't hit each other and might break if her head swung too hard. "You have hair like friend Upae..." She trailed off remembering that Upae had actually turned into a Troll...

"All done." She said standing from the chair.

"Aye, Sevilawa be mah name." She hesitates a moment. "Mah frens call me Sevi."

She closes her eyes and leans her cheek against one hand as Amadare brushes through her hair, shivering slightly when the elf's fingertips run across her scalp.

"Who be Upae?"

She sat on the bed closing her eyes, remembering her scent. "Upae was... she was gift from Elune. She told me she was Troll before she was given Kal'dorei body, when time past, she was put back in Troll body..." Lowering her head, she remembers the good times she had with her, on their discovery of what how a "Lady" was supposed to act.

"She was only one who didn't get scared of me when I loose control of change. She was good friend..."

Untying her own braid, she run her fingers through her forest green hair before she even attempts the brush. She looks up at the Trolless with some light in her glowing eyes. "Maybe you eye her. She called Lupa"

Sevilawa

"Lupa?" She frowned thoughtfully as she ran her fingers over the elven braid, glancing into the battered silver mirror over the washbasin with surprised appreciation at the beauty of the style. She hesitates a moment. "Ah... ah haven' really met many ah mah own kin' yet. But Ah'll keep an eah out fo' one wit' dat name. Ah'll give her yo' greetins."

She turned, picked up her leather tunic and gloves, and began slipping them back on as she sat back on the edge of the bed.

Amadare sat for the longest time with her own fingers touching the cool wet mark left on her face. She had never been kissed by a female, except by her mother.

"Maybe that is their custom..."

She told herself as she finished dressing. As she walked to the door to sling her mace over her shoulder, she stopped and returned to the side of the bed taking one last inhale of the scent left by the Trolless.

"I want to be sure to know her anywhere."

She told herself as she opened the door and slung her mace. She had a slight spring in her step as she made her way back to the dock. She finally had a friend... maybe this one wouldn't hurt her to be around..
