A while back my bro' posted on here about a guild he wanted to start. Unfortunately, due to time constraints he was unable to make the guild at all. I've decided to use the name and make my own RP guild, that hopefully others will enjoy also.

The name of the guild is "Heart of the Wild". The premise is that it's a guild for Hunters and Druids. In all the MMO's we've played, my fiance and I have loved playing druid/ranger types.

The Heart of the Wild will be a guild for the individualist hunters and druids to gather to share adventures, and experiences.

I'd like for the guild to be heavy rp..and have great Pvp experiences also! As for end game, I'd like there to be a membership cap at 20. That would allow us to do the 5 or 10 man instances....and also ally with other guilds if we wish to do the bigger ones. The main reason I'd like to see a 20 cap, is to make sure we know one another. I know some of you have experienced really big guilds where you barely knew the person you were raiding with.

Another point I'd like to see happen: I'd like for this guild to be open to both Horde and Alliance! I know it would take some planning..in essence having two guild leaders..one for each faction. If we can accomplish this we could have inter-faction get togethers in the wilds of Azeroth. To help with communication..and also pvp..a teamspeak server would be used on those occasions we all got together. Also a dedicated website would also help in keeping us together.

An all hunter/druid guild lends itself to some great RP aspects. Just as events like The Great Hunt. Where we get together and in groups of 5 track and slay a dangerous beast...using only mundane weapons...nothing magical.

Anyway...what do you think? Any ideas...anyone interested in helping me create this unique guild? If you're Horde and want to talk about it..I check this website frequently! If you're alliance..post here or contact Talathan in game!

Thank you for reading this far!

I remember reading about it a while back, and while my character certainly has no care for such an organization, I think it's a very cool idea. I like guilds with very specific themes, though that can sometimes limit their size. All the same, I support the idea of a guild like this ^^

The World of WarCraft has an enormous amount of Druids.

Just very few Tauren ones.

I'm glad you like the idea! Hopefully others will also like it. I'd really like to see Horde and Alliance hunters and druids gathering together on behalf of the wild lands. :)

It sounds like a great idea! I've always played my hunters as individualists. They find more in common with nature than the other people in Azeroth and prefer to stay out of the whole Alliance / Horde struggle.

Unfortunately, I've been playing Xeran (human paladin) a lot lately and will probably be spending most of my time getting him to 60 and then getting geared up. My level 40-something hunter (Ajanon) is on the backburner at the moment. Otherwise, I'd want to join up.

The idea of cross faction guilds is cool when used lightly and for the right reasons.

This definitely has a nice rp focus, much like the idea of a cross faction rogue guild, or warlock guild (both of which I have heard of), though it may be challenging to administer.

Can flagRSP be used to help people from recognize their guildies from the other faction? I only just got it yesterday, but it may be useful.

Yes, you can add an Alliance guild to your list, set it to friend, and any alliance in that guild will show up with a green circle around their portrait.

I didn't know that about FlagRSP. I use it , but didn't know about the cross-faction thing. That would definitely be a help.

As for the crossfaction stuff being a little hard to communicat/coordinate. The cross faction get togethers would be rare..say about once every 2 weeks. Wouldn't be right not to invite them to the Great Hunt. I think a great way to recognize our Horde people would have the guild on that side some variant of Heart of the Wild.

I'd also like the ranks in the guild to reflect the rugged individualist/natural style of the guild. For example: The first rank is called "Fey". In the wild the fey are known to be young, undisciplined and unpredictable. Any new recruits would be a Fey for at least a week on a trial membership.

Hmm..I don't know much about Shamans. Would they fit into the whole "look after nature" thing? I've never played a shaman or read anything on them.

Also, I would think the Heart of the Wild as a group would be neutral to the alliance/horde war...but individuals would and should have their own feelings toward it.

The Shaman way of life does not circulate around nature as say, a hunter or druid would -- Being that a Hunter finds its place within nature to achieve an animalistic balance with it, and the druid worships the concept of nature and attempts to preserve it from the corruption of the Burning Legion and the Night Elves -- but rather the natural elements that are found in everything, that allow creation to be.

Then I could definitely see Shaman's in Heart of the Wild then. Is there not someone on the Horde side who'd like to head this up?

..Shaman should be able to learn Kalimag.

Hmm..thought they'd be more interest in this kind of guild. Only two of us so far. Kinda disappointed...

I love the idea, except right now I'm busy with my warrior. I do, however, have a tiny low lvl hunter that I'd gladly use to join.

One thing, though... I'm not a fan of the name. I love the concept, but "Hearts of the Wild" sounds kinda... I dunno. Other than that, I love it.

I've heard a lot of good things about "xfire" from people looking to roleplay with the opposite faction. From what I understand, it's a chat log that can overlap a game, and not get in the way of it at all while still being there. I can't say for sure as I've never looked for it, but a lot of my Alliance buddies back on Silver Hand would bug me to get it.

Also, should you get formed up, I look forward to hearing your frustrations from your Horde-side counterparts when I slaughter your Alliance-side members. *cackles*

LOL...that's one of the reasons for having a guild like this. The endless things that can come up. :) For example:

"alliance guy" continuously disregards the wilds..killing animals randomly etc, and is seen doing this by alliance Heart of the Wild. HoTW member asks him to leave the wildlife be. "alliance guy" proceeds to verbally bash HoTW member. Unfortunately, ally can not attack ally. But.....bring in the Horde HoTW member, and things get real interesting very fast.
