Vilmah

"Rosette?"
The little girl looked up at Vilmah from behind Ruby. Vilmah smiled, relieved to see the three year old alright. Still wearing her sunhat with the bright pink flower, Rosette stumbled over the pregnant wolf and wrapped her arms around Vilmah's legs. It hadn't taken her long to warm up to the orc, especially since she treated the girl with special clothes she'd sewn herself, sparkly stickers, and specially prepared vegan meals that she hoped Nojinbu would stop spiking with bits of meat from his own food.
Leaning down to put her arms around the little girl, Vilmah held her close and was grateful for her safety.
It upset her to regret telling Kromag, her own brother, about Rosette. She'd hoped he had changed. That he would be happy for her, and maybe learn to love the chubby pink child who brought joy wherever she went. Instead, Kromag did what Vilmah never expected; he told the Grim.
Vilmah trusted many in the Grim, but there were some who she knew would delight in tormenting her, if for no other reason than their own amusement. Rosette was an innocent child, one who could no more defend herself than a newborn kitten. It was for this reason that Vilmah had Ruby brought to stay in the Sanctuary chapter in Shattrath, allong with Edmund. On the off-chance that there wasn't anyone there to watch Rosette, a gigantic pregnant wolf would give more than enough trouble for someone who would hurt her.
However, it was the sense of betrayal that made Vilmah's eyes water.
Nojinbu gave Kromag a warning. That should any harm come to Rosette, he would be held responsible. Allong with a colorful string of threats regarding what he'd do to Kromag, should that happen, he listened to what the hunter had to say, and was about as dumbfounded as Vilmah was when he relayed the message. He called the Grim his "family". He said that he was troubled by Vilmah's decision, and wanted their advice.
"I suppose his idea of family has been warped, now. He's stabbed me in the back by doing this. Didn't he know this would hurt me? Didn't he care?"
Nojinbu had no way of answering Vilmah's questions. Instead, he made sure to hold both her and Rosette extra close that night, with Ruby at the foot of their bed, and Edmund by the door.

Lovely

Lovely lay in a bed in Silvermoon, still recovering from the previous night.
The day had started well, but when Kromag had begun talking about the child, Lovely decided to take a stand. Vilmah was her friend, but an innocent child being harmed was out of the question. Kromag and Lovely had gone back and forth several times arguing over what was right and wrong regarding humanity, and for once in her life Lovely stood her ground, feeling very strongly about the issue.
Eventually, it came to pass last evening that Lovely was asked to meet Lascivious, the leader of The Grim, in Razor Hill. Lovely knew she was probably going to be kicked out of the guild, but she would not back down.
What Lovely didn't know was that Anaie, sister of Syreena, was waiting for her in Razor Hill. Anaie said "Your life for the child's life" and proceeded to attack.
Lovely felt the blades enter her back, and the poison crippled her instantly. Again and again the rogue stabbed her, but rather than fight back, Lovely struggled to stand and face the blades with honor. Eventually, she fell, dying in a pool of her own blood.
Lascivious came to the scene, angered that Anaie had attacked Lovely when she was not ordered to. She, along with Orugasa, carried Lovely into the inn and stopped her bleeding. Orugasa conjured a totem to get rid of the poison, and the paladin was saved.
Lovely was angered...How could she have followed the Grim when they would hurt the innocent? Or want to hurt the innocent? When Lascivious stripped her of her rank and membership, she didn't flinch.
Lascivious also kicked Anaie out of the guild for lying and disobedience. Of course, Anaie would be able to return later, but Lovely knew at that moment she could never go back. She was not right for the Grim...She wanted peace and love, and happiness...and healing.
Gorvena and Orugasa comforted Lovely. They were still her friends, and as far as she knew they always would be.
But Vilmah...Lovely's sacrifice for Vilmah and the child had surprised her even as she did it. She had betrayed the Grim in a way....but for now the child was safe, and she knew she would never betray Sanctuary....
Kromag

Kromag walked slowly through the Shattrah city lower sections. His mind was full of confusion, hate, sorrow, pain.
His sister had betrayed the horde, the orcs, no open war was declared but with how many alliance always attacked it was obvious that both sides could not live in harmony. Kromag was so very confused at why Vil would adopt a human child, so he sought out the Grim for answers. It was his family, they believed as he did. They saw the threat that the alliance really was, why could not his sister?
Looking about Kromag realized he was not far from his sisters little place they had here.
"I will get answers, I am sick and tired of this. My sister will tell me whats going on." Kromag's voice was cold and hurt. "Vilmah! I am coming prepare yourself!" His voice carried over the normal bustle of activity in the lower section. Moving on with a strong will he began his search for Vilmah.
Vilmah

Shattrath was her favorite city, and Vilmah felt no sense of awkwardness when she ventured through it, with Rosette by her side. Nojinbu had told her to be careful, to take precautions. Even in a place surrounded by the powerful draenai guards and their gigantic elekks, there was the danger of being ambushed by a rogue and not having the ability to stop them in time. It was for this reason that Rosette rode on Edmund, with Vilmah walking beside her, armed to the teeth, as if she were about to single handedly raid Kharazan.
Rosette made little hopping motions on Edmund's back, which the wolf took to mean he should speed up. Vilmah kept a steady hand on his spiky collar, which kept him in line. Mostly. She was grateful that he didn't look as fierce as most riding wolves, rather, he was fluffy and had a wider jaw, resembling a Malamute more than a wolf. Patting him, she and Rosette made their way to the World's End Tavern, where they would pick up Nojinbu (or Ji-ji, as Rosette had taken to calling him) a weekly "present" that kept him from getting too irritable. In common, Rosette called it his "special drink".
That was when she heard the familliar voice. A loud and rather angry sounding orc, who immidiately caused Edmund to flinch. Rosette noticed Vilmah's attention shift from her dog, and leand over to tug on the orc's ponytail. Vilmah's face went nearly white. "..aw geez."
Kromag
06-07-2007, 12:08 PM
He saw her, the animal, and the human child. Kromag watched from a crowed of others so as best to hide himself. Watching the way his sister held the wolf, the way she stood ready to protect the child from all. Pushing his way clear of the crowed Kromag walked straight over to Vilmah.
"It is time you and I had a very long talk little sister." Kromag's voice was cold and bitter, their was no love. His eyes looked empty and hollow, almost dead.
"We can talk here or elsewhere, either way it matters not. We are going to speak and no force in this realm will stop this from happening." The look Kromag gave while speaking left no room for debate. His mind was set, and this was going to take place.
Vilmah

"Hey," Vilmah said, her face stern. It was an unusual face for the orc, one Kromag had likeley never seen before. Her brow furrowed, her eyes narrowed, her hands balled into fists, she was a warrior at last. A miniature one, anyway. "..calm down. You're scaring my kid."
Beside her, Rosette looked at Kromag with one wideley opened eye. Her other was missing, hidden partially beneath the hat she wore. That side of her face was drastically different from the other, the skin deformed from a burn scar that travelled halfway down her neck. Lowering herself slightly, the little girl felt Kromag's anger, even if she didn't understand his words. One look to "Vi-vi", and she knew that there would be trouble. She'd never seen Vi-vi so angry, before.
"I don't mind talking," she said calmly. "As long as it's civil. I was taking Rosette and Edmund for a walk."

"Very well then, I will walk with the two of you. We can speak as we walk, and it will be civil little sister." Kromag stepped in beside Vilmah, and began to walk with them. Kromag was not all that comfortable with the human child looking at him the way she did. But she did not seem to be any kind of threat.
Kro looked about the city as he quietly spoke to his sibling, "Why are you doing this Vilmah? Why would you take on a human instead of an orc or troll?" Kromag's voice was kept low enough so the child could not hear, but also because it hurt him to know his sister would cling to the enemy so easily.

"I didn't choose her," Vilmah replied calmly, her face softening. "She chose us."
Walking calmly, they approached the World's End Tavern. Vilmah made Edmund stop outside, and picked up Rosette from his back. Placing the girl down in front of one of the barmaids, she pat her on the head, signalling her to speak common to the draenai.
"Two dozen rum for Ji-ji's special drink, please," she said shyly, using one hand to pull down on her hat, just far enough so that it covered her scar.
With an amused smile, the barmaid nodded and went to the back room for Nojinbu's usual order. Vilmah turned back to Kromag, holding Rosette's hand. "Kids aren't like pets, Kromag. You don't pick them because you like their color. They have to know that they're safe, and loved. Rosette went to Nojinbu because she saw that they were alike. She was loneley, and it was doubtful that anyone would adopt her. Nojin, though.. he loved her as soon as he saw her. I did, too. She reminded me of myself."
Picking up the three year old, Vilmah let her face Kromag.
"Look at her, big brother. Look at face and tell me that that's the face of our enemy."

Looking at the child Kromag tried to see the beast within, he tried very hard to keep the ice covering his heart. As he looked on he noticed the child always trying to hide the scars.
Looking to Vilmah he replied gently, "May I take her and hold her a moment? You have my word I will not harm her."
Vilmah

Vilmah's face paled. There were so many reasons she should say no, and so many reasons she should say yes. She could see Niethan right now, glaring at her for being a complete hypocrite if she let Kromag hold Rosette. Then she thought about her own beliefs, her own ideas of mercy and love, and giving people second chances. Kromag never mentioned hurting her child himself, as far as she knew, he didn't intend on harming her. If she said no, it could sour her relationship with her brother forever. If she said yes.. how could she explain to Nojinbu if something happened to her?
She decided that it wasn't her decision to make.
"Rosette is afraid of you, Kromag. If you can change her mind, then yes."
Kromag
06-07-2007, 01:22 PM
Smiling slightly Kromag looked at the girl as best he could. "Rosette I wish to put you on that table right there." Kromag pointed to a nearby empty table, "I want you to stand up straight and tall so that I may look you over. Will you allow me this honor?" Though his voice was deep, their was no malice, no hate. Only the softness he reserved for his family or his close friends.

She couldn't understand most of his words, but the look of anxiousness that Vi-vi gave let Rosette know that this big green person was trying to be nice, and Vi-vi wanted them to get allong. She nodded at him, which Vilmah took as a signal of her courage. Rosette smiled, knowing she made Vi-vi proud.
With more than a little nervousness, Vilmah placed Rosette on one of the tables. Her hands lingered on the little girl's waist, but there she stood, in one of the prettier dresses Vilmah had sewn for her, her hands behind her back. Rosette did her best to look ahead without hiding her scars. She thought of Ji-ji, and how proud he looked whenever he stood up tall, and imagined herself to be just like him now. She even put her fingers together in such a way that it made her feel she had only three.
With a hand that refused to leave her, Vilmah patted Rosette's shoulder. "There's a good girl," she said gently.
Kromag
06-07-2007, 01:32 PM
Kromag stepped forward and looked the girl up and down. Checking her over as he might look at one of his pets. Reaching up slowly he placed his hand near her hat.
"May I remove the sunhat please? It is important for me to see all of your face." Kromag tried to smile a little, something that was actually a little scary considering all those teeth he has.
Vilmah
06-07-2007, 01:40 PM
Rosette's hands immidiately went up for her hat, when Kromag touched it. She could tell he was asking her to remove it, which made her blush with embarassment. Turning to Vilmah, she looked at her with questioning eyes, as if asking what she should do.
Vilmah smiled reassuringly at her. "You can take it off, it's alright."
Piecing together her words, Rosette turned back to Kromag. He was big and scary looking, but no more than Ji-ji. He also looked familliar, and she started to see a similarity in the way his nose and lips were shaped that were reminiscent of Vi-vi's. With her one eye still locked on the big green man, she pulled off her hat and held it in front of her.
The scar covered half of her neck and face, and receeded into her hair to create a large bald spot. On that side, her ear was slightly crumpled and deformed from fire damage. The place where her eye had once been was not permenantly closed, eyebrow and eyelashes singed away. The corner of her mouth was also somewhat stretched.
"He just wanted to see how pretty you are," Vilmah said cheerfully.

Watching the hat come off Kromag smiled slightly and looked the girl over.
Noticing the girl was shy and a bit worried about the marks Kromag decided to teach her something.
Vilmah, and I are orcs, you are human. But you are family now, you are horde." As Kromag said these things, he pointed to Vil then himself and finally to the girl. Trying hard as he could to make her understand, then slowly bringing up his hands to his own head he removed his helm.
"I have scars of my own, markings and cuts and burns. Never hide what makes you stronger. You are horde now, you are like orc." Pointing to all the cuts and wounds on his own face and head he showed the girl his own blemishes. Pointing at the girl with one finger he then pointed at himself with another finger on the same hand then crossing his fingers.
"We are alike, things will be hard for you but you are family now. I will help as best I can. You must be brave like orc, strong like orc." With these last words Kromag thumped his chest two times with a single fist.
Looking toward his sister Kro hesitates slightly, then slowly reaches down to a dagger and pulls it forth. Opening his left hand Kromag cuts a thin line down his open bare palm, the knife very sharp works quickly and almost with no pain. Pointing at his hand with the dagger, he then points it at Rosette's hand.
"We are to be of blood, it has to be done." Kromag's voice was full of conviction, this had to be done.
Vilmah
06-07-2007, 02:01 PM
Vilmah's eyes went wide with horror. This wasn't exactly something new to her, which was even more painful. She'd seen this done in her mother's tribe, the wild and elusive orcs of Draenor who were thought of as savage. They were like Kromag; set in their ways.
Rosette was looking scared, now. Brave as she was, the idea of being cut on the hand was far worse than the needles she had to face when Ji-ji made her take "shots" for her own good.
Vilmah shook her head, waving her hands. "Woah woah, Kromag, wait a second. She's not ready for that kind of thing, yet! Can't you see she's been through enough pain? I mean, I know where you're coming from and all, but--"
The sound of a tiny wince made Vilmah jolt with fright. Turning to Rosette, she saw that the little girl had just pierced her fingertip on Kromag's knife. Biting her lips to keep from tearing up, she pointed at him with the chubby index finger, a drop of blood on one end.
"Orc."
Kromag
06-07-2007, 02:06 PM
Smiling a huge toothy smile Kromag set the dagger down and reached up to take the girls hand. "Orc." He said happily, as he dipped the childs bloody finger into his own cut on his hand. Closing his hand around her finger and leaning over, he kisses her gently on the head.
"Rossette needs no hat, be proud of your marks!" Kromag's voice sounded strong and fierce. As if he challenged any to say otherwise to the child.
Vilmah
06-07-2007, 02:12 PM
Vilmah was, meanwhile, trying to keep herself from crying. Putting her arms around Rosette, she held her close and looked up at her brother.
"You know what that means, Kromag," she said, sniffling. "You have to protect her, just as much as you would anyone else in the family. She's a part of you, and you can't ever break that. Don't forget, she's your niece."
Rosette kissed Vilmah's cheek, hugging her Vi-vi. The pain in her finger stopped hurting.
Kromag
06-07-2007, 02:19 PM
"She is family sister, I protect family, but know the Grim is my family as well. I want you to try your hardest to never let the two counter eachother. And I have a request to make of you sister." Kromag watched Vil, seeing her eyes with tears. Gently bringin up his uncut hand Kromag places it on his sister's shoulder. "You must let me now and then help to teach the child what it means to be horde. I will help train her to know how to fight the enemy whomever it may be."
Kromag smiled gently, "And sister, protect her from other humans. Keep her safe from the corruption, the greed, the backstabbing fools. She is young enough to be saved from this." Letting go of the childs hand and backing up a step Kromag pulled out a cloth and wrapped his hand.
Vilmah
06-07-2007, 02:28 PM
Vilmah nodded, smiling. She stood, and picked up Rosette, walking Edmund and placing her on the wolf's back. When the barmaid arrived with her order, she put it in one of his saddlebags. Rosette, meanwhile, kept he sight on Kromag. With a wide smile, she sat proudly on the wolf, as if she herself were a warrior for the horde.
"She'll learn about what we are, Horde and Alliance alike. When she's old enough, I'll let her with you, to train her in any way you like. For now, she's under lock and key. Don't worry, though.." Vilmah chuckled. "She's learning plenty already, from Nojinbu."
Kromag
06-07-2007, 02:31 PM
"Good, take care sister, and good bye small one." Waving to the two Kromag walked out of the inn. While walking off he put his helm back on and smiled to himself. So he may never have a child, but this child will carry with it the pride of the horde and the Orcs.
Sulajin
06-07-2007, 02:36 PM
Sulajin sat above. Watching like a vulture as the Orc left the tavern. He snarled quietly to himself. She was a fool. Kromag had betrayed them once, he would betray them again. And she would set her own child up to be in the path of that betrayal? Well, that was her decision.
The fires died away from his grip, as he stood and turned back to the blue tinged creature that lay dozing in the sun, long wings stretched out to soke up the heat. He did not care for the human child, particularily, but it did not matter. He would protect this 'Rosette' as he expected Vilmah to watch over his own.
Yichimet
06-07-2007, 05:19 PM
Yichimet turned from the merchant's stall in Shattrath to look across the crowded street. He heard a voice he knew, speaking to another, one deep, one high. There--two orcs. A child on a wolf's back. A pink-skinned girl being led around. His eyes narrowed.
Vilmah
06-07-2007, 05:38 PM
Vilmah smiled wider than she had in a long time as she and Rosette waved goodbye to her brother. "That went surprisingly better than expected, huh?" She said to Rosette.
The girl gave her a shrug, as if to say, "I have no idea what you're saying, lady," to which Vilmah giggled and tickled the three year old.
"I think you and I should go home and give 'daddy' his special drink, hm?" Vilmah suggested, continuing to walk. Rosette pet Edmund's head and nodded.
"Daddy."
Vilmah felt her emotions melt at the sound of a child saying daddy, and the thought of Nojinbu being that lucky person she gave the title to. Continuing to walk, she spotted a familliar set of horns.. and some angry looking eyes.
"Oh hey, mister Yichi.. met....."
Yichimet
06-07-2007, 06:11 PM
She had walked the wolf straight to him, as if she did not know how he would act. She stuttered at the look in his eyes. It is a game to her, he thought.
"You are a fool, little orc. I did not know what the duststorm was about with the Grim the other night, but now I do.
"You walk with pink-skins, you count them as your friends. You are lucky that in this city I cannot do what my heart throbs to do right now."

Two loops.
Three loops.
A scrying rod with imbued Arcane Dust.
Four Loops.
Five Loops.
Complete, another bolt of the rare Netherweave Cloth. The Warlock stood, unmoved by the beauty he had created with his own claws for hands. Unmoved by the peace that swirled within a simple piece of fabric. His mind wandered, the Lower City was hardly a desirable place to be. The smell, the rabble. Lupen looked down toward the beggars with a cold malice in his eyes. The cowards, could not fight, could not work, good only for fodder.
He looked up, and into the distance. His neutral expression moved into a frown. A Tauren Shaman, Yichimet, the Seer... Beside a coward, a traitor, a child, Vilmah. The Warlock quickly moved his new bolts of cloth into his packs and moved toward the two, he stood beside Yichimet for a moment, in silence. His eyes wandered... This could not be.
This could not be at all. Vilmah was a coward, a sympathizer to the true Enemy, but this... This was absolute horror. He looked to the small girl, her skin was pink, but there were no ears to mark her as a Blood Elf. Her stature was a bit plump... She was Human. Lupen looked to the guards, who stood mounted not far as a hatred began to well deep inside him.
He looked up to Yichimet's towering face, and then back to the Orc.
"Good evening, Miss Bloodborne."
Vilmah
06-07-2007, 10:06 PM
Vilmah frowned deeply. Could this get any worse?
"Hey there, Lupen," she said dryly.
Squeezing her eyes shut a moment, she took a deep breath and tried to regain her composure. Gone were the days when she would have looked up to these two. Gone were the days when she would have knelt before them, felt intimidated by them, let them step on her and her beliefs because they might have been more powerful or experienced. Not anymore.
"Alright now look," she said, gripping her fists tightly. "I just had a nice long talk with my brother about family. About love. About loyalty. You two may have your grudges and your beliefs, but you know what? They have no place with me or this child. She's done nothing to you, or anyone else for that matter. All she's done is been hurt by circumstance, and I am sick of everyone trying to put thousands of years of human intolerance or human crime or human anything on her shoulders.
"Now, either you two can learn to appreciate how sweet and adorable this little girl is, or you can get out of my way. We're going home, we're going to make dinner, and goddammit, we're going to be a family."

Faust plummeted down first, the portal having been created eight feet in the air, and plopped, coincidently, rear first right in between Vilmah and The Grim. The Elekk suddenly found himself looking at a Tauren, and began to wave his trunk in front of him. Hailos fell with more grace then his Elekk mount, obvious experience from jumping off his gryphon while still air born. When he leveled his body, he found himself staring right into the face of the undead warlock he had met in that fateful day in Nagrand. Before he decided to give that forsaken a piece of his mind, he looked up at the portal, the gnome mage laughing hysterically at his own creation, leaning over the edge.
“That is the last time I ask you for a portal again!” Hailos growled at the gnome, “Tell Thaena what she has in store for her so she can better prepare!”
The gnome mage scurried away from the portal, to tell Thaena the dangers of what lay ahead.
Hailos turned around to see Vilmah, and he gave her a Draenei salute. Speaking in orcish. Hailos spoke, “Bad company you surround by.”

Sulajin growled, bending through space to stand by Vilmah's side. Long tendrils of smoke curled from his form as he watched those that amassed against Vilmah and Rosette. A low rumble built in the back of his throat as he spoke.
"Choo listen. Choo listen real good. Dere won' be any problems wit' dis child. Undastand dat? I be hea beside her, an' if anyt'in' does begin ta happen dere are some guards given us de eye datchoo don' want ta tangle wit'."

Thaena
06-08-2007, 07:55 AM
With a slight pop Thaena and Avani stepped throug the portal and into the midst of the growing crowd.
"By O'ros Inquisitor, you certainly have terrible luck." her laugh caught in her throat as she noticed the individual members of the crowd. She gripped the reigns of Avani's harness and then slid off the elekk. She looked from Vilmah to the two Grim and then back with growing apprehension.
"Greshings Vilmah. Ish there shome short of problem?" Her orcish not nearly as accented as at their last meeting.
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 07:56 AM
Vilmah felt her tensions ease at the appearence of Hailos, and even moreso (surprisingly) with the arrival of Sulajin. Thankfully, Rosette was too busy being astounded by Hailos' elekk to show any signs of fear towards either Yichimet or Lupen, but when she noticed Hailos, the little girl moved her hand to her chin, and wiggled her chubby fingers smiling.
"Finger beard," she said in Common.
Vilmah sighed deeply at Yichimet, saddened by the idea of someone she really did like being so disapproving of her decision. The parable of the bird laying it's egg in another bird's nest was not lost to her. She knew what he was getting at.. but the idea of Rosette being any type of threat was laughable. Even now, she busied herself by braiding sections of Edmund's hair, while adults argued her fate. "Why do things have to be so complicated with you people.." she muttered, then looked at Sulajin.
"Thank you, Sul. You know how much I appreciate your support. Yours too," she said at Hailos. "And you get used to the bad company, but some of them aren't so much bad as.. I guess, misguided."
Smiling at Thaena, she shook her head.
"No problem. Not here. Not anymore, anyway."

He wouldn't take his eyes off of them. Hard eyes flashing between the Tauren and the undead. It was allways astounding how the humans could turn on each other so rapidly. After all, there was more in common with the humans that had fled Lordaron and the so-called "Forsaken" then there were between the Forsaken and the Horde.
He drew himself up, then. This was his first chance to have a dealing with the Drenny that wasn't one of the blue scaled creatures barking out demands of him, or one of the guards. They truly were ugly creatures. Their heads were lopsided, stretched and with bony ridges sprouting out seemingly at random. Long tendrils of flesh dangled from their chins and quivered slightly as the breeze went by.
However the tone they used to address Vilmah clearly labeled these Drenny as members of Haven. Still, best to keep an eye on such a creature. The Loa had cursed their bodies for a reason.
Guduk
06-08-2007, 09:10 AM
When a Tauren such as Yichimet approches, he is hard to miss, When a Tauren like Guduk approches, there is no way to miss his passing.
The wall of armor and weapons strolls through the streets of Shattrath, catching sight of Lupen and Yichimet, along with Vilmah and the recent troubles she carries on with.
Guduk grumbles deeply as his eyes take in the little human girl, he continues his approch and stops near Yichimet and Lupen, a plated fist slamming into his chest as he salutes his honor. "Brother, I travel on a heroic adventure tonight, I was hoping to gather supplies from you before I go..." his eyes carry over to Vilmah and narrow "But if you are busy at the moment, I can move on."
Looking back to the human child he grunts "Many do not know my past Vilmah, or care to know. What you do here is unfair to many, if you want to hear my story, ask now.. or never question why I wish that pink skin harm.."
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 09:16 AM
Vilmah looked at Guduk with wide eyes, her body shaking slightly. Covering her eyes with her hands, she looked as if she were about to "lose it".
"Eh.. wh.. y.. you.. okay! You know what everyone, lets take a step back and re-look at the situation. You guys,"
She pointed to the Grim.
"You guys are pissed off because I picked up a three year old human and decided to raise her. Why are you pissed off? Because a few years back, a bunch of guys who resembled her killed your family, or killed your friend, or beat up your friend or what-have-you. You know what? My mom was killed by humans! I was caged until I was her age,"
She pointed at Rosette.
"..by -humans-! Where was Rosette, back then? You want me to tell you?? She wasn't -born- yet! She's three years old for goodness' sake, and you think that me adopting her is some sort of travesty?? You guys need to re-look your lives and start deciding which is more important;
"Fighting against -actual- evils, like prejeduce and injustice and honest-to-lamb MURDER.. or killing a three year old who's permenantly scarred and only has one eye! Geez, seriously guys, you're acting ridiculous! Even Kromag put aside his trademarked orc-rage for her! What does she have to do to get you guys to realize that she's not a threat? That what I'm doing, I do out of love?"
As if on cue, Rosette reached out and put a sparkly rainbow sticker on Guduk's armor.
Kallindra
06-08-2007, 09:25 AM
Kallindra hated the city of Shattrath. It reeked of innocence and peace, and it forced an unnatural cease fire between those of her ilk and the rest of the world. The downside was of how incredibly useful the city was, and how it was fast becoming the hub of both Azeroth - by way of mage portals - and Outlands. Her vast hatred of the city had to be quelched in order to take advantage of what was available.
It was on one of her many trips to pick up more alchemical supplies when she overheard what was quite a commotion. A quick glance showed that the idealistic and foolish leader of Sanctuary was thick in the fray, amongst several of Sanctuary "allies" and members of The Grim. The normal bustle of the town was beginning to give the group a wide berth.
Staying to the side, to see what more would transpire, Kallindra waited quietly.
Scarletscorpid
06-08-2007, 09:41 AM
The scorpid had been watching the gathering from a discrete distance. The words of the Warboss drifted across the intervening space to fall upon its ears.
" She has a large heart, the Warboss of Sanctuary does," the Scorpid thought to itself.
" Pity the reality of the world is such that the size of her heart is irrelevent. What she does, she does out of selfishness, whether she sees it or not. By her own words I hear it. Some part of her soul emptied by her own experiences as a youth. A part she now seeks to fill with the poor child. Admirable. Charitable. Yet she dooms the child in her actions. Forever hiding her, forever running from those that hate, those that dispise. The child will grow up no less the prisoner to her circumstance as the Warboss herself was in that cage she speaks of."
The Scorpid sighed. Part out of pity for the delicate little creature it saw mounted on the formidable wolf, part out of sympathy for the Warboss. A human child raised among hostile races. Sooner or later tragedy would befall, regardless of the immediate outcome to the drama being played out.
" You cannot be there with the child forever Vilmah, " the Scorpid thought as it watched. " The child needs to be with its own kind.. for its own safety."
Laron
06-08-2007, 09:44 AM
Walking through the busy streets Mynikens started to hear a large amount of yelling, when she heard Vilmahs voice yell out clear and loud. "By Humans!" Scurring under the feet of people, she rushed to see what was going on.
"Excusemepardonme Movepleasegetoutofmyway!"
Pushing her way through the crowd, having to bite a person who wouldn't move, she made her way to the edge, seeing Vilmah standing with a child, a human child...
Thaena
06-08-2007, 10:02 AM
"No problem. Not here. Not anymore, anyway."
Thaena heard Vilmah's words from only moments ago in her mind, and already she saw them melting away at the hostility of the others. It was a sad situation, one that guaranteed trouble to come, if not today then at some point in the future. She maneuvered herself along the far side of Vilmah's wolf and waved at Rosette, keenly aware that Vilmah's battle was not one of violence but one of wills. No harm would come to the child here other than the scars of terror, and perhaps she could be spared that. She seemed in good spirits already and indeed did not seem overly concerned for all the angry voices around her.
"Hello little one." Thaena smiled down at Rosette.
Yichimet
06-08-2007, 10:19 AM
When Guduk had trodded up, ringing and clamoring, Yichimet turned back to everyone. By now the guards had their weapons drawn and were staring them down. A few people in the street were ignoring the small-but-growing crowd, but most had stopped their shopping and turned with fear or excitement in their eyes.
"Little orc, you are blind. You wear a cloth tabard woven with blindness. You yourself have been victim and still you are blind." His arms, hands, his body was close to quaking with rage.
"It is not just the child you should fear for any longer. You, your little tribe of blind salamanders mucking through the mud." He looked at the draenei standing next to the troll. "You are the weak pole holding up the Horde's tent."
In Taurahe he spat out, "The Grass Thunderer give me strength in the next days," and turned his back on the group, walking away.
Lascivious
06-08-2007, 10:28 AM
Lascivous sat astride Sam's flanks looking out over the city when she noticed a large group gathering in the distance. She looked away and quickly glanced back. She could see Yichimet walking away and Guduk towering over all other present. The only reason she looked a second time was she could see alliance hovering about and could feel the tension of the guards even from her seat.
Kicking the brown wolf forward, she pushed her way through the crowd and sat next to Guduk, towering above her even from Sam's back. From there she saw the discussions point of interest sitting atop Vilmah's own wolf.
Sighing she waved her hand in a dismissive gesture at the other Grim present.
"Grim! There is nothing worth seeing here," she said in a firm tone. "Surely you have other things to do."
Shaking her head she looked at Vilmah. "You and your pet have caused me a lot of trouble lately."
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 10:29 AM
"Weak tent pole!? You think that wanting to murder an innocent kid makes you strong? You're the one who's blind, Yichimet! You're blinded by your own fear! And you know what, I might be afraid of a lot of things, but I'm not afraid of a three year old! That seems to be reserved for the Grim.."
She looked at Guduk and Lupen.
"You're all so brave when you go off to kill dragons, but the moment someone shows you a human child you think the end of the world is coming. And to think that I used to look up to you.."
Rosette was trying not to pay attention to the yelling and arguing. She looked up at Thaena, pulling down her hat to hide her missing eye, and sucked in her cheeks to make a fish face. "..Vi-vi is angry," she said in Common.
Noticing Lascivious, Vilmah tried hard not to be disrespectful. "Your reason is appreciated. I apologize for the trouble I've caused you, believe me, it was not my intent."
Nojinbu
06-08-2007, 10:30 AM
“Ya left ya stone on again”
A voice said as a rum bottle floated out from Edmunds satchel.
“Dis argument be invalid. Da kid chose ta come ‘ome wit us, dats weah she be till she decides odahwise.”
Two tusks faded into sight along with a sharp toothed grin, an eye patch emerged next. The cork in the bottle popped out and dropped to the ground, and then the bottle floated up to the toothy mouth as it drank a large portion down.
“If anyone be choosin ta mes wit a membah a Sanctuary, may dey be ready ta meet dere great makah. Ahll see ta it mahself.”
The mouth moved toward Rosette and Nojinbu’s form emerged as he kissed her on the forehead.
Lascivious
06-08-2007, 10:36 AM
"Do not worry about the Grim, orc. As far as I am concerned this is a peronal issue between you and your brother. Why that elf got into her head I would care, I do not know." Lascivious grinned wickedly. "Why would I want to start trouble with Sanctuary when there are a thousand other angry horde just drooling over the chance to stick a fork in its tender pink hide?
"Still..." Lascivious suddenly looked thoughtful.. "Grim are known for their initiative... I will make you deal, Vilmah. One that will ensure the safety of your little human."
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 10:42 AM
Vilmah glanced at Nojinbu. His usually grim dimeanor aside, seeing how sweet he was with Rosette always made her smile. Rosette took to it even better, squealing with glee at the sudden appearence of Ji-ji and throwing her arms around his neck.. only to pull at his braid like a lasso.
"I'll hear you out," Vilmah said, turning back to Lascivious. "The issue with my brother has been resolved. I appreciate the idea of you wanting to keep Rosette safe, but I'm no longer naive to think that you'd do it out of the goodness of your heart. I guess the only thing to ask is.. what could you possibly want from me?"
Kallindra
06-08-2007, 10:43 AM
Seeing that the Mistress had arrived and was attempting to diffuse the situation was enough for Kallindra. She would continue on her normal business for now, and pay extra attention to her stone should need of her aid arise.
If the young Warboss of Sanctuary wanted to mark herself and those she cared for to the endless torment of trying to bring a human into the ranks of the Horde, then it will be their own misery they bring about.
Seeing the larger crowd of Lower City denizens gathering about, she uttered the words "Step aside" to them and made her way towards the Arokkoa.
Ashagga
06-08-2007, 10:47 AM
Disguised as one of the city's many refugees, Ashagga snuck up to the gathering in the streets of Shattrath. She'd been keeping an eye on the ruckus since Yichi and Lupen had become involved, and despite the Mistress' insistence that the Grim leave, she noted neither of her friends had done so. Stealthily, she crept up behind Lupen and tugged his robe slightly, letting him catch a glimpse of her smoldering not-eye and a wicked grin.
Lowering her voice to a barely audible whisper, she asked, "What've I missed?"
Yichimet
06-08-2007, 10:49 AM
(( Actually, I can only assume Vilmah was yelling after Yichimet as he walked away--my last post ended with him getting out of dodge, heh. ))
Lascivious
06-08-2007, 10:50 AM
"Chose to come with you?" She glanced at the troll. "I doubt that. She's a child and probably would toddle off with who ever showed her a shiny treat. No matter, it is here now"
"My offer is simple - and quite generous." Lascivious turned back to Vilmah. "I offer it the complete protection of the Mandate. Not only will it be safe from my more... ferverent members... they will be obligated to protect it like one of their own.
"All you need to do is simply prove to me that you love it."
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 10:50 AM
((Yeah, she shouted at him. Probably shook her fist a bit, too. ^^))
Vilmah cocked her head at Lascivious. "Prove that I love her?"
There was no doubt in her mind that the mistress of the Grim had something planned. Although far younger and a lot more headstrong than she should have bee, Vilmah did her best to stand up tall to the challenge.
"If my loud mouth isn't proof enough, then I'll take your word for it. I'd do anything for Rosette. What type of proof are you looking for?"
Nojinbu
06-08-2007, 10:52 AM
Nojinbu made a grunting sound at Rosette grabbing his hair, he took her in his arm and picked her up, setting her down on his forearm, his other hand placed the rum back into the satchel.
Nojinbu looked the undead over. He hadn’t had the pleasure of seeing the Grim’s leader; he finally had a face to associate. Nojinbu stood quietly, letting the two talk, waiting patiently, hoping he wouldn’t have to do anything more then show his presence.
Guduk
06-08-2007, 11:07 AM
Guduk listens to the mistress of the Grim and grunts, he looks down at the sticker which has been stuck on him by the little human, he reaches down to pull it off, and then moves to stick it on Vilmah's chest, just over the heart.
"So the alliance knows where you shoot you when they want their pink skin back.. and don't think that ones who will be wanting it back will be asking nicely."
"You think we fear what the little pet brings? No. You think we are holding on to years of strife and violance? Maybe, but you must know they hold onto the same. and you think we can change? or they will? never... They will still kill over even this small thing, they did it in the past, during a time of so called peace, and they will do it again."
Giving one last glance at the Mistress of the Grim before he looks back to Vilmah "Its better off to be rid of it, kill it, or toss it out of your home.. as 'cute' as it may be to you. Your death will be the end result if you keep it."
He turns away, waiting to hear her responce to Lascivious before he leaves completely.
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 11:11 AM
Vilmah smiled at the sticker, and then at Thaena and Hailos. The matching tabards were more then enough to give her confidence.
"Heh.. believe me. The Alliance doesn't need a reminder of where to shoot me. They're pretty well versed in how I work."
Lascivious
06-08-2007, 11:12 AM
[well if you count human years and forsaken years Las is only 16 :-P]
Lascivious peered at the orc.
"Give her back."
Malstrom
06-08-2007, 11:17 AM
Malstrom, walking by, stops as he sees Grim leaving the area. Curious, he walks up, nods at the Mistress of the Grim, at Vilmah and the rest of his friends.
Spotting the child, he smiles and says "Ya gonna want ta age dat a bit. Dey surprisingly stringy when dey young."
Nodding to himself for a job well done, he strides off, humming a little tune.
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 11:19 AM
Vilmah's heart stopped.
"Give her back?"
It wasn't as if the thought hadn't crossed her mind. The idea of raising a human was frighteningly dangerous, but Vilmah considered her safety guarenteed in Shattrath. Then again, was it worth the risk, just to be able to raise her?
"I thought about it. I did.. but even the matron said that it wasn't likely she'd be adopted. We considered the chance at having a family worth the risk, so I guess it's up to you to decide wether or not living without someone to love you is worth more than having a family. Even if it is risky.."
Vilmah rubbed one of her arms.
"..would you have given up your family, for the chance to live safely? Tell me the truth."
Nojinbu
06-08-2007, 11:26 AM
Nojinbu moved up beside Vilmah and handed her Rosette. He stepped close to the undead and crouched down to the undead so they were eye to eye.
“Ah believe ya din ‘ear me properly from what ah said previously. She picked us, Vil an ah went ta da Orphanage in dis vey town an went lookin fa a chil ta give a bettah ‘ome. While Vil was talking tad a woman ‘o ran da orphanage, Ah walked in back. Next ting ah know, dis lil one be tuggin on mah pant. She be da only one ‘o came up ta me. Ya brave trolls, orcs, elves, undead, whatecha ‘ave yaw a ta scared a a neah twelve foot troll. Dis one wasn. Da mistress a da orphanage let ‘er go ta us cause we were da only ones ‘o din look ‘at ‘er in disgust. Ah won deny dat chil ‘er ‘appyness, dis one be kindred spirit.”
He stood back up, towering over her. “It wasn’ Vils choice ta take ‘er. Ah tol ‘er dat Rosette be comin wit us. If ya wan someone ta blame, dat be me. An ahm nah givin ‘er up less she wants ta go.”

Dio had heard that there were some of the recent problems with the Grim were coming to a peak and had eventually found his way to Vilmah, Nojinbu, other Sanctuary members and even members of Haven to his suprise. But deciding to keep his mouth shut, he stood a fair distance behind Vilmah, watching silently.
Lascivious
06-08-2007, 11:39 AM
“‘Warboss’’Lascivious spit on the ground. “You have no courage. Only excuses.”
“What kind of life will that child have? Tormented by other children for being different. Outcast by other Horde? Never to know the touch of a lover? Will you keep her in your home penned up like livestock?”
Lascivious voice became more firm.
“Give it back. Let her learn her own language. Let her be comforted at the tender bosom of a ‘pink-skinned’ mother. Let her feel the touch of a man.” The Forsaken woman leaned forward in the saddle. “And what kind of life will you have orc? Fearing every day as you walk down the street, which Horde will be the one that slips its knife between her ribs as they walk by?
“Tell me Vilmah, how well will you sleep at night? Will it be soundly? Or will you lie awake wondering if Abric is sitting in the dark shadows of her room gazing upon her and counting the ways he could silently torture her simply for his own pleasure before slipping away into the night?”
Lascivious began to spin her wolf around and stopped looking back at the orc woman. Lascivious pointed at the scar around her neck. “This is my reminder I have no family. I was a human girl once. Everything I tell you that child is being denied was stolen from me. But for a short time they were mine.
“You?” Lascivious sneered. “You never even gave her that chance.”
Turning away Lascivious kicked Sam into a run toward flight master.

Tilting her wizard’s hat up to show her now enraged little face, eyes glowing bright yellow and fingertips sparking with electricity. She didn’t know all of what they were talking about, but what little Orchish she did know she was getting the jest if what the argument was about. Glancing to Vilmah and the child who was taller than her even at her age, she gives a small nod of assurance to Vilmah that she is here if need be
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 11:48 AM
Vilmah watched Liscivious ride away, her eyes narrowed in defiance.
"She ran away before she could be told that she was wrong."
Looking at those who remained, she held Rosette protectively, Nojinbu at her side. She, Diomades, Nojinbu, Thaena, and Hailos stood wearing their tabards as a force to be reckoned with. Despite the accusations of others, she refused to stand down, and she knew that they would do the same.
"The world is changing, Grim. Wether or not you decide with it is not my concern, unless you make it my concern. Rosette will be raised in SHattrath, where we walk side-by side with the Alliance. She'll see the blind hatred and fear shown by you, and she'll know that love comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors.
"She'll wear the purple and gold, and she won't ever question wether or not she was loved. If I have to fend off attacks for my decision? So be it, but she will not be harmed. I'll see to that."
She glanced at Nojinbu.
"We'll see to that."
Nojinbu
06-08-2007, 11:48 AM
Nojinbu snarled.
“If she even Tinks a doin dat. Ahll be shot a take ‘er an as many odahs down ah can.”
He clenched his fists, the leather gloves making a creaking sound, his teeth grinded against each other as he thought of the idea of an intruder in his house, and the intruder’s skull crushing under his hand.
Nojinbu took a deep breath and calmed himself, then turned to vilmah.
“Jus give da word. Ahll wait till den.”
Hailos watched as the Grim Forsaken took off, then looked toward the rest that remained, nodding to Diomades and Nojinbu in respect. He turned toward his elekk, and bonked him on the head, telling him to get up. Faust did so and turned his bulk around to look at Vilmah and Rosette. He waved his trunk in front of the child, giving little trumpets now and again.
Hailos spoke in orcish “Sanctuary guild hall in Shattarath?”
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 12:00 PM
Vilmah smiled at Hailos, and nodded. "Yeah. We bought a second one. The first one was getting a little cramped."
Turning back to Nojinbu, she put a hand on his wrist and shook his head.
"And I wouldn't worry about her threat. Hopefully I'm not giving Abric too much credit, but I think he's got better things to do than torture a three year old. Still.. we'll bump up security. For her sake. And until she's old enough, she's not to leave Shattrath unless it's in the company of Haven."

Diomades finally decided to step forward.
"The guardians will watch over Rosette, Vilmah. I'll watch her personally myself. But if threatening us with attack and war is the only way Lascivious believes she can be right, then we have the upper hand here. The Grim should be scared to attack us, because they know what it will mean for them. A war on a home front."
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 12:13 PM
Vilmah chuckled at Mynikens, noding. "Sure are, miss. And Dio, I'm not sure if the Grim fear their own mortality any more than they seem to be afraid of this little one. I don't think I'll ever understand their thought process..."
Shaking her head, she sighed.
"C'mon, guys. Lets go home."
Nojinbu
06-08-2007, 12:20 PM
Nojinbu picked up Rosette and placed her on the ground beside him.
"She be right in one ting. Every one of us needs ta remembah she be a person, dat woman jus sees 'erself in dis one. She needs every chance she can ta be normal."
Nojinbu knelt down to her.
"Da ya wan ta walk bah me?" he smiled so big it closed his eye.
Anaie
06-08-2007, 12:34 PM
Anaie heard that Nojinbu had already begun adding extra security to the new Sanctuary guildhall... but did not realize how fast he worked. All of her scouting of the building led to no easily accessible entrypoints...
"Leave it to a fellah sneak ta know 'ow ta be keepin' othas out." Anaie muttered. She would have to go with her other plan, something more deceptive. She saw er ex-guildmates and Vilmah and her supporters bickering in the streets and new that this was her only chance to meet on her terms. Anaie visted the Scryers bank and prepared for what she was about to do.
Riding as fast as possible through the streets, she dismounted and walked directly up to the door of the guildhall. She straightened her dress, and knocked.

Rosette smiled and grabbed Nojinbu's hand. She didn't understand most of his words, but "walk" was something she knew. Replying in common, she began pulling him towards the Sanctuary guildhall. "We got lots of special drink for you, Ji-ji!"
Vilmah grabbed Edmund by the reigns, just then noticing Thaena and Hailos' elekks looking at one another in a more than friendly way.
"..hey.. what's up with you guys' elekks?" She asked Thaena, as they walked.
------------------------
The Sanctuary guildhall in Shattrath was the perfect place for Steinburg to stretch his brain muscles and build more clout. He was already working with the bankers of the Aldor and the Scryers, learning what he could of their ways to increase Sanctuary's already heavy purse. It was with these thoughts in mind that he opened the door to the main door and was surprised to see a rather lovely Forsaken woman standing before him in a dress.
"Uh.. oh. H-hello, miss," he said sheepishly, trying to stand tall with a heavy stack of papers slowly slipping from his grasp. "W..what can I do for you?"
Despite his ever present nervousness, Steinburg leg her inside. He was quick to return to his studies after showing her where she could wait.
Fallacy
06-08-2007, 12:43 PM
Atop one of the towers high in Shattrath, a dragon crouched like a gargoyle over the city. It was no ordinary dragon, however, being covered with coarse, long white hair that gently swayed in the air, held up by some unseen force. Sitting bare back on it was Fallacy, the orange fire that composed his sight flickering as he studied what was below him. The fire flared as he witnessed the encounter between the Grim, Sanctuary and Haven.
"The last straw..."
His right hand, constructed out of elementium, cracked as he flexed the fingers. "The mindless slaughter is not an issue, but, when it comes to threatening a child and fellow members of the Horde... If the Grim take such action, they will pay. Not only by my hands, but due to the course of law within the Horde. They have gone too far, this time. Allegiances be damned, I'll have no part in their works."
All it took was a light touch to Danakh's back to let the rift dragon that they were done. Fallacy only looked back over his shoulder once before disappearing into the Terokkar sky.
Anaie
06-08-2007, 12:55 PM
"Better den I taught..." Anaie whispered to herself as she finally found her way into Vilmah's chambers. There were all manner of creatures about... one orange tabby cat rubbing on Anaie's leg pleading for attention. Anaie scratched the head of the animal with a claw, glanced about the area and found a small chair to make herself comfortable on while she waited. Dropping a small sack to the ground at the foot of the chair, she picked up the tabby and pet it.

Nojinbu kept low to the ground so Rosette could hold his hand. He let her guide him around wherever she pleased. "When ya be done out 'ere, ah got a present fa ya at da 'all."
Nojinbu’s ears twitched as he honed into his wife's conversation

Sammuel lounges on a bench deep in the Scarlet Monastery, diligently drawing the sharpening stone along his blade. Blood and gore cover his armor, the fresh is indestinguishable from the old. Picking up a hand from the flesh around him, he tests the edge of his newly honed sword.
A feeling comes over him, like spiders walking up his spine. Unsure what is transpiring elsewhere, he knows that something is brewing. Something that will lead to glorious bloodshed.
Hailos took a long while to think on how to explain the situation with the elekks in orcish
“The mating season, Elekks.” Hailos stared at Faust and Avani, and then spoke “Couple, Bonded”
Faust made a noise that sounded more of a honk then a trumpet, and began to wave his trunk around in circles in the air.
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 01:15 PM
Vilmah's face melted into a gleeful smile. She clasped her hands together and nodded at Hailos. "Ohhh, that is just adorable! Nojinbu's wolf and mine are mated, too! Isn't that strange? Both Inquisitors and their Warboss' mounts having babies together? It's so sweet!"
Nojinbu

He continued to keep pace with Rosette and tried to tune it out.

Vilmah
06-08-2007, 01:27 PM
Rosette led Nojinbu to the Sanctuary guildhall in Shattrath. Vilmah opened wide the doors for her family and their guests, giving them all a wide and cheerful smile.
The hall was rather small, build somewhat like a townhouse. Immediately inside was a sitting room, beside it the open door to a portal to Orgrimmar that had gone wrong, due to it leading to and from bathrooms in each location.
"Please come in, and make yourselves at home. We have a small stable that'll fit your elekks, 'till you're ready to go," Vilmah said to Thaena. "We like keeping Edmund a little closer by."
Nojinbu

Nojinbu Picked up Rosette and sat her down in a chair, kneeling before her.
"Ah tol ya ah 'ad a suprise fa ya when ya get 'ere..."
He reached into a bag and pulled out a small leather ball, then placed it in her hands. He then let out a whistle, a grunt was heard and Willy darted into the room.
"Ah be teachin Willy some tricks...Trow da ball."
Nojinbu made an underhand throwing motion. If Rosette were to throw it, Willy would chace after it and bring it back in his tentacles.
Anaie
06-08-2007, 01:36 PM
The orange cat jumped from Anaie's lap and sat in front of the door to the room she was in. She could just barely make out the sounds of Vilmah speaking with others somewhere outside in the hall.
"Finally... " she said to herself. She positioned herself in the chair in a non-threatening manner, in such a way that it was clear she wore nothing but her skimpy dress and small belt with three belt pouches. Shooing another cat away from the bag on the floor in front of her, she reached down and removed the wrapped box and set it on top of the otherwise empty bag.
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 01:55 PM
Vilmah smiled at Rosette, and tried not to wince at Willy. The beholder frightened her without end, but she knew that he and Rosette were the best of friends, and tried hard to understand the appeal.
"I'll just go lighten my load," she said, referring to the heavy plate mail and overabundance of weapons she'd been carrying. "I think I'm a little overdressed to be welcoming you to our home. Be right back."
Nearly stepping on Odin, her orange tabby, Vilmah made way for her room. It was then that she noticed the undead, sitting in her home, wearing little more than a dress and a belt. Dropping her shield noisilly, Vilmah's eyes went wide upon realization that it was Anaie; formerly of the Grim.
"You.." she breathed. "What are you doing here?"
Anaie
06-08-2007, 02:17 PM
Anaie stood slowly and raised her hands.
"ey dere Vilmah, long time..." she said as she bowed to the orc. "As ya kin see, I ain't 'ere fer no fight, just ta be speakin' wit ya on da mattahs at 'and. Please come in and close da door if ya don't be mindin'."
Anaie craned her neck to see if the whelp was trailing behind and frowned slightly, "Da Grim didn't git it from ya did dey?"
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 02:35 PM
"Get it?"
It took her a few seconds to realize she was talking about Rosette. Without looking back, she closed the door behind her, and stood in front of Anaie. Truly, she had nothing against the rogue, until she heard of her actions against Lovely. Lovely was a friend, and she nearly killed her.
"..no. No, Rosette is alright, and, I really don't mind talking. In fact, I'd like to hear what you have to say."
Lupen
06-08-2007, 02:42 PM
Lupen stood in silence. Lascivious had come and gone, Ashagga had spoken to him... He simply stood, his face was fairly calm. He spoke silently, not looking to Ashagga, but still speaking; "You have missed perhaps one of the greatest travesties in my memory." He clenched his fist. So many things were moving so fast. He was furious, he was depressant, he was on the brink of madness.
The Warlock turned and moved further into the city, silent.
Nojinbu
06-08-2007, 02:43 PM
Nojinbu hopped up at the sound and got to the door just as it began to close. he saw the sight of an indead through the crack in the door. Nojinbu took hold of the door knob, turring it back fully and letting it shut, If anything were to happen, he would be inside in a heartbeat.
Anaie
06-08-2007, 03:10 PM
Anaie nodded and flopped back down in the chair, "Good den. I ain't bein' one fer small talk, so we go straight ta business..."
"Seein' dat ya already took in da elf ta yer ranks, I wished ta explain facts of da mattah ta ya before ya 'eard too much from folks dat tink dey know what be goin' on." Anaie gestured to her chest, "It already seems ta be well known I was exiled from me mates by da Mistress fer a form of insubordination, and I be undahstandin' dat fully.. howevah, I still act in accordance to dere ways and 'ave 'opes dat I may one day return."
"I don't be knowin' what was said out in dose streets but dis be what I be tellin' ya... what I done, I done fer yer brother, someone I see as part of me own family. Aye, 'is intentions toward da child were possibly murderous, but what da elf be tellin' ya was based completely on 'earin' 'is rage ovah da stones. Fer 'er ta run to ya... an' be betrayin' da trust of one of 'er own guildmates in such a way, over past squabbles from when yer brother was not quite 'imself... was nearly as devestatin' ta 'im as da news of yer adoption. Not ta mention da danger it put 'im in..." Anaie explained.
"If I wanted da elf dead, she would be... instead I made 'er ta suffah. Ta feel da agony and pain felt by what she done ta Kromag... Yer brothah was told dat I went ta kill 'er but fled da scene without confirmin' it, but would I leave a Bloodknight on da ground ta die, knowin' all well dey can be savin' demselves?" Anaie stood from the chair.
"Da elf be yer responsibility now, an' my battle wit 'er is done. I am sorry dat she did not learn from dis lesson I be tryin' ta teach 'er, but what I told 'er was true. Her life fer da childs, an' she was willin' ta give dat... she couldda been savin' 'erself but it fell to otha's ta keep 'er alive. She did give up 'er life fer it ta me... Sanctuary gots no war wit me, but keep dat 'uman in line. If it grows up ta be killin' any 'orde like its kin, den it'll die all da same... along wit anyone fightin' alongside it... an' be knowin' folks from all sides are gonna want to kill you or it fer bein' tagetha...." Anaie paused, and nodded, content that she explained what she needed to say.
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 03:27 PM
Vilmah sighed after Anaie finished. Her explanation more than illustrated her point, which the orc appreciated more than she could probably explain with words.
"Anaie.. thank you. I am sorry that what I did has caused people pain. I love my brother, I do. I never meant for this decision to do anything but bring joy to a little girl who's previous life was stolen from her. I couldn't leave her there, not after hearing what they did to her. Not after seeing her face, seeing the way she looked at Nojinbu. Like they were meant to be together.."
Shaking her head, she continued.
"I am glad that my brother has a friend like you. He and I weren't able to see eye to eye, in many things. The day he left my ranks was one of the saddest days of my life, but, I want him to be happy. Your loyalty shows me just how grateful I am that he joined the Grim. Your guild and mine might be different, but if there's one thing we have in common, it's loyalty. Loyalty to our brothers in arms, and loyalty to the Horde.
"Even if we do show it differently."
Vilmah took a few steps forward.
"I do what I do because I love the Horde. I don't want us to fight anymore, because seeing needless death on both sides is not needed, Anaie. There is so much we're missing out on, just because people can't look past their own fear, or their own anger. If only they could overlook that she was human, maybe your guild mates could understand why I love Rosette so much. I only hope that one day, they'll be able to. I'm sad at the idea that while I gained a daughter, I've lost a friend."
Pursing her lips, she lowered her eyes.
"Please tell Yichimet I'm sorry. I'm sorry we can't see eye to eye, and moreso am I sorry that he'll never call me sister again. I valued his friendship."
Anaie
06-08-2007, 03:34 PM
Anaie nodded... "I dunno if many o' dem be listenin' ta me right now... but I will attempt ta speak wit Yichi. He may listen ta me, outta respect fer me sistah. But I really can't be blamin' 'im fer 'is feelin'. I got no love fer what ya done eithah, but it ain't worth killin' each othah ovah."
Anaie bent down and picked up the wrapped box. Flipping it to Vilmah she calmly stated, "I ain't 'ad one of me own tonks blow up on me yet... but I ain't sayin' I couldn't 'appen... watch yer child when it plays wit dis. Engineerin' ain't a precise science..." Anaie laughed and strode toward Vilmah and the door.
"Nojinbu, I be comin' out mate, we be done in heah."
As she opened the door, and walked through it, she quipped, "Ya might be wantin' ta flog dat book-keepah of yers... leavin' a girl all alone in yer safe, warm halls..."
Vilmah
06-08-2007, 03:35 PM
"Book keeper..?"
Blinking a few times, Vilmah looked down at the steam tonk controller and smacked her forehead with one hand.
"Flog him indeed..! Daggone it, Steinburg!"
Thaena
06-08-2007, 04:36 PM
(( Eesh! You guys move like a train! Full steam ahead!))
Thaena was grateful for the offer of boarding within Sanctuary's stables for the time being. She and Hailos spent little time finding the building and were happy to see Faust and Avani settled in short order.
Though her spoken orcish was not all it could be, Thaena understood it well enough to grasp the implications involved in the afternoon's events. Perhaps this would be a good time to get to know Sanctuary a bit better. In the matter of the child Thaena was certain that there would be more conflicts to come in the months ahead and it was likely that Haven would be drawn into them at some point. She thought on these things as she approached the front of the hall, taking notice of the open door and the forsaken that had just left it.
"It ish interesting happeningsh today, Vilmah. If it ish bad time we can be coming back later." she bowed to the orcess with respect. "Your new hall ish lovely though, it ish a good choish for you all."
Sulajin
06-08-2007, 07:08 PM
Sulajin waited. Most thought him half mad with power. It was good they thought that. A power mad Troll was of no concern, unless his power came to bear upon you. Easy to avoid, relatively.
When you are easy to avoid, you are left in peace to work your way. Sulajin waited now. He had slipped away in the commotion, best to not tip his hand so soon. He growled softly, though. It was all such foolishness.
Now though he slipped in behind the strange zombie. Before Vilmah he stood. His eyes narrowed by his usual scowl. He would wait still. She could make the first move in this.
Chingaso
06-09-2007, 05:32 AM
((Late to the party...damn vacation *shakes fist*))
((As Gorvena))
Like, omigawd! When Kro totally told me about what Vilmah had done I was like totally crushed. I thought Vil was like the coolest female Orc warrior, and I often asked like advice and junk from her...but a human? Humans enslaved my whole family! Chingaso's too. Totally!
And when Kro asked advice, I totally said, "If it were me I'd totally kill it and eat it."
Then I like find out that my totally good friend Lovely told Vilmah and junk...
So now I like have totally lost my role model and maybe one of my totally closest friends...
/sob
((As Chingaso))
The news of Anaie's suspension and Lovely's expulsion rung around the guild hall. Chingaso looked up from his ale...
"What this? Anaie out of Grim? Outrage! For try slay traitor? What mistress think? And now elf join Vilmah rank. Fitting place.
And Vilmah adopt human??? What think? Human enslave Chingaso family. Human slay Chingaso friend Serrano. Human lowest form of scum. Worse than elf!"
Chingaso gathers his equipment and heads to the field of combat, resolute to put much thought into this turn of events. And to confront Vilmah on her choices...
Grimfury
06-09-2007, 11:19 AM
Grimfury walks slowly up to the door of the new guild hall of Sanctuary in Shattrath and raps on the door. When the door opens Anaie passes through it all dressed up like never before. "Greetings Anaie, didn't expect to see you here!" "I merely stopped by after hearing Vilmah and Nojinbu had adopted a little one, I was hoping Vilmah was able to use my wedding present on the little tyke. Stoppin by to meet the little orc and see if there is anything I can help with." "What brings you here Anaie?" Then slowly Grimfury notices a little human girl playing with a small beholder. "Well isn't she cute, noone told me they adopted a human!" Grimfury kneels down slowly as not to frighten it and motions for the little girl to come over, reaching in his pocket he pulls out a piece of his favorite molasses candy and hands it over to the she little one. "Looks like you have your hands full Vilmah, I won't stay long."
Anaie
06-09-2007, 11:27 AM
"Just 'avin a conversation mate." Anaie said as she slipped past the big Tauren, who at this point was distracted by the little one. Anaie sighed, and continued on her way.
Bloodscream
06-10-2007, 10:30 AM
High atop Aldor rise, astride his armored windrider Skywise, Bloodscream sat on the edge of a ledge, his gaze turned down towards the city. He would have appeared lost in thought or sleeping to the casual passerby. With a whisper-quiet hum, the Tankatronic goggles adjuted, whirred. He could see the city clearly from here, all of it, save the Scryers den and along the far wall of Lower City.
He couldn't read lips so well but body language was something the Orc knew all too well, it was a necessity in his line of work.
He had winced when he had seen Mistress speaking with her.
He had tensed when that infernal troll had approached Mistress. No weapons had been drawn and they had gone their seperate ways.
Bloodscream snorted.
"Too many players." he thought to himself.
"The wheel is turning, nothing I can do about that now."
He watched Anaie walking towards the halls of Sanctuary. The Tankatronics adjusted, automatically engaging light amplification to keep Anaie in sight. He didn’t think she was consciously sneaking over there, she just tended to walk along the shadows, probably didn’t realize it herself.
He shook his head. That silly girl had been one of their best and she let herself get suckered into throwing it all away, by an elf-bitch. Bloodscream had tried in vain to have her spared but even he had no argument to counter the simple fact she had violated the mandate and attacked one of our own.
Bloodscream snorted.
“Lupen…” he thought. “This is all HIS fault… careless little twit brought his science project home and then gave her a tabbard.” Bloodscream's entire body clenched at the thought of the warlock, so much Skywise gave a whimper, Bloodscream was crushing him with his knees.
He thought about it again, as he had so many times... Fly down, enter the halls, take her and leave... it was an interesting fantasy but it was just that and he knew it to his core.
This however, was getting too close to trouble he didn't want, trouble he had to stop.
He would wait until Anaie was gone.
Vilmah
06-10-2007, 12:11 PM
Vilmah made sure to see Anaie to the door before smiling at Grimfury. He was a member of Decimate, but always a welcome guest in their home, and always a kind face.
"You're too sweet, Grimfury," she said, her smile returning. "Thank you. Maybe we should introduce you to everyone. It seems we're a little crowded.
"Lets see, we've got Nojinbu and Rosette of course.. then there's Thaena, Hailos, Sulajin, and that's Anaie leaving. I don't think you've ever visited our new hall before, Grimfury, but you're always welcome. Geezoo.. I think after today, I really really need a nap..."
Bloodscream
06-10-2007, 01:25 PM
Anaie was leaving. There was no doubt more people than he would have liked in there but his likes were not at issue.
"Down." he whispered, disabling the Tankatronics magnafying optics.
Skywise hopped up and sailed lazily down towards the city and the halls of Sanctuary.
Skywise landed about fifteen feet from the front door, the swishing of his tail a metallic rattling as armor plates collided. He jumped off his steed, landing with a heavy bone jarring thump against the ancient stone floor.
There was no way they didn't know he was here, not if the troll was in there with her.
He waited, sorting a few things out in his bags.
Sulajin
06-10-2007, 01:58 PM
Sulajin glowered, looking at the assorted people. It was too crowded. There would be no time. Too many people made it risky. He could wait.
"Vilmah, I goin ta speak ta choo anodda day." He said as he turned to leave the room.
Nojinbu
06-10-2007, 10:21 PM
Nojinbu came to the front door, looking through the peep-hole. He saw Bloodscream sifting through something in his bags. Nojinbu unclipped a strap holding in his daggers and opened the door, he stepped out and armed the booby-trap to the main entrance before closing it behind him.
The troll spoke up to get his attention. "Whatcha be needin, mon? Ah believe enough a ya grim be tellin us 'ow dey feel, many bringin quite a bit a saddness ta mah wife. Many a dese people been Vil's friends, be ya wishin ta get in line ta?"
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 12:28 AM
Bloodscream didn't turn around, leaving his back exposed to the rogue.
"Is that what you believe Frosty?" he said , the smirk obvious in his tone.
"Had enough of me telling you how I feel Noj? he added slowly spinning to face the troll.
He kept his left hand inside the bag.
"Wanna know what I think troll?" He asked with a grin, having no intention of waiting for an answer.
"I think you'll go tanning in Tanaris long before I come here to discuss my feelings with you."
"You going to get out of my way or are the vaunted halls of Sanctuary opened to all but me?"
His left hand never left the bag.
Nojinbu
06-11-2007, 06:21 AM
Nojinbu frowned at the orc.
"Its been a long day, Blood. Da us ahll a favah an just ansah me what ah be askin, Ya be comin as friend 'o foe?"
He reached up with one hand and rubbed behind his eyepatch.
"an keepin ya 'and ahll secretly tucked away ain makin ya look like a friend at da moment."
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 07:18 AM
Bloodscream raised an eyebrow.
"There are precious few things you can count on in this life Noj..." he began, stepping slowly forward, his hand still inside the bag.
"... but I'll let you in on something since you seem to have had a rough day."
His left hand never moved from the bag.
" The day I come here as your foe, you will know because I'll be charging right at you, probably screaming..." he began.
" ... heck see those people up there on that ledge..." he asked pointing off into the distance with his right hand "..THEY'LL know... Everyone within earshot and a few who thought they were out of it will know..."
"Now I am weary and bored of explaining myself, go ask your Warboss if she fears me, I'll wait."
The hand, never left the bag.
Nojinbu
06-11-2007, 07:33 AM
Nojinbu sighed at Bloodscream. His theatrics have been seen and boasted time and time again to the troll by many people.
"Ah pray dat day nevah comes, Vil would be vey 'eartbroken, an ya wouldn scream fa long."
Nojinbu turned to the door, knocking on it.
"Disarm da door, Vil. Blood be comin in!"
Niethan
06-11-2007, 07:40 AM
All things considered, it was probably a good thing that Niethan hadn't been around to see the confrontation. He had a few... issues with certain members of The Grim, and seeing them gathered all raised hackles would not have ended well. Instead, he'd been buying some bagels.
Munching on one of them as he strolled back towards the Sanctuary Hall wing in Shattrath, Niethan spotted the backside of an orc and halted. He'd only seen this particular orc perhaps once, but when Nojinbu hinted at the name Niethan swallowed the bagel immediately. He knew little of Bloodscream, but what he did was rather sensitive information... and the prickling in his quills made him watch the tensed muscles and the grip in Nojinbu's knuckles.
He narrowed his eyes. Oh, this did not look right at all. Maybe a distraction would help.
Niethan resumed strolling towards the entryway, but this time he made sure his claws didn't make clicks on the ground. He adjusted his course just slightly to try and follow the orc's blindspot, while one hand reached up and freed a few shorn locks of hair from his braid (that had been a close call). They predictably sprung up in a messy sprawl, waving over his head in the breeze of his passing. He loosened his gauntlets long enough for Nagendra to slide out of his skin, the windserpent coiling around until he was wrapped around Niethan's chest, head watching from the troll's heart and wings splayed across his back for balance.
The door was closer now, and it looked like Nojinbu was letting Bloodscream in-- though reluctantly. Niethan flicked his eyes to the Consortium-issued blaster to make sure it was loaded, then widened his eyes and lips in a grin so cheerful it was just shy of madness.
"Hey guys, what's goin' on? Hello Noj! And you must be Bloodscream, I've heard so much about you..."
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 07:50 AM
Vilmah's hair nearly stood on end. The color left her face, and immediately returned with three times the usual ammount.
"Blood..?"
There were many people she knew with the word "blood" in their name. Heck, her own last name had blood in in. Of course, there was perhaps only one person who would make Nojin's voice sound like it was straining, and one person she could imagine would be coming to the Sanctury hall.
"Coming!"
Leaving Rosette with the others, the went to the door and disarmed the traps. They were there for safetey's sake, and she had luckilly ben trained by Nojinbu in how they worked. As soon as she was finished, she dusted off her armor and actually made an effort to look presentable. It wasn't unusual to meet other warriors, but this was one of the few that she respected. One of the few she listened to, when it came to advice, amongst other things.
When she was done, Vilmah opened the door, surprised to see both Bloodscream and Niethan outside.
"Oh.. hey there!"
Nojinbu
06-11-2007, 08:51 AM
Nojinbu walked just enough inside to let Bloodscream and Niethan in. When everyone was inside, he would shut the door and arm the trap once more.
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 10:05 AM
Bloodscream chuckled quietly to himself at the trolls threat.
"Of course Noj..." he said with a grin "of course... Besides, everyone knows I'm frail as a kitten, one good hit and I'm out... well known fact."
His left hand was still out of sight, more because it bothered Nojinbu than any other reason at that moment.
He cocked his head to the side hearing Niethan. This one had hurt Vilmah once and Bloodscream wasn't opposed to making him pay for that. He eyed the readied weapon.
"Apparently you have heard of me hunter... though I care not to venture a guess as to your sources."
"Awfully aggro for a bunch of pacifists aren't ya? If you two prefer, we can dance but you'll have to explain to your warboss what the stubborn stain in front of your door is since... obviously... I would be killed almost instantly." Bloodscream smiled innocently.
Bloodscream heard her voice and suddenly, the thought of grabbing Niethan by the throat and using him as a weapon to beat on Nojinbu faded.
He smiled at her and stepped inside, his left hand still sitting casually inside his bag.
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 10:18 AM
Vilmah bit her lips to keep from grinning too much. She'd invited Bloodscream to her home many times, and recently had asked him to come by to meet Rosette. Truthfully, she didn't think he ever would. Their past, in combination to the ammount of drama that was being exersized between the Grim and Sanctuary made being friends hard enough.
Hands behind her back, she glanced at Niethan and Nojinbu. At once she felt as if everything within a ten foot radius was a powder keg, waiting to explode. There were times when she imagined exactly how a fight between Nojinbu and Bloodscream would play out, but she figured it would be made even worse with Niethan there. Niethan being Nojinbu's subordinate would make things interesting, and the underlying sadist in Vilmah almost wanted to watch it happen. Maybe even join in.
Shaking away the thoughts, she cleared her threat and rose her eyebrows. "This is kind of a surprise, but you know you're welcome here. Sorry about the security, but you know, we can't be too careful.."
It was then that what Bloodscream said struck her. Pacifists? Sanctuary's vigilante-like war on crime really didn't equal out to pacifism. She decided to let it go, and explain later.
"Have you come to see Rosette? She sure is the popular little thing."
Malstrom
06-11-2007, 10:21 AM
From across the square facing the Sanctuary guildhouse, Malstrom caught sight of Bloodscream entering the guildhall just before the door closed. He saw the look on Nojinbu's face and recognized the look on Bloodscream's.
He smelled trouble. As usual, Bloodscream was in the middle of it. Malstrom knew all too well the emotional side of Bloodscream, especially where Vilmah was involved.
He sighed. Then he rolled his eyes. Then, after due consideration, he sighed again.
He tried to listen to nature, see what it had to say, but it would not tell him what was happening in the guildhouse. Stupid nature.
He ambled closer to the guildhouse, not making any effort to remain hidden. He casually leaned up against the wall next to the door so he could hear if things went badly inside.
He rolled himself a cigar, lit it up, and waited.
Tillna
06-11-2007, 10:21 AM
((Damnit...you're in the home..other wise Shigana's SPeciel Fel Hutner would be stopping by))
Nojinbu
06-11-2007, 10:30 AM
To have someone enter his home with cold remarks kept his face stern, even when he was his wife which such happiness about her.
He planned in his head, thinking to himself as his eye darted about the orc.
*shoulder plates detach from the chest piece at the joint. Bicep armor and forearm armor stop at the elbow. Chain mail stops a blade from the hip, but the hamstrings and the back of the knees are exposed. His head.....his head is clear for attack.*
Nojinbu waited for a clear sign of his intentions. His actions up till now have been...Questionable.
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 11:03 AM
Bloodscream smiled at Vilmah. The rest of world could burn when she smiled at him, he couldn't care less.
"Well..." he said throwing a glance over his shoulder to Nojinbu and Niethan.
"Invitation not withstanding, I daresay your lads need to work on their hospitality somewhat. Since I've gotten here I've been insulted once or twice and threatened as many times... I think I may have a slightly different definition of "sanctuary" than you do..." he spoke slowly, with the curl of a smirk on his lips.
"So? Where is this fiendish Alliance general you have hiding in you home?"
His left hand remained where it was.
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 11:09 AM
Vilmah giggled. If anyone made sense in the world, it was Bloodscream. How he managed to keep the smile on his face while wearing a Grim tabard, she had no idea.
"Well, she's a feisty little thing you see.. we've had to guard our throats against her attacks many times. Rosette?"
Almost immediately, a small three year old human girl ran up to Vilmah. She stumbled once over her own feet, and landed flat on her face. Without a hint of tears, she propped herself back up with her hands and resumed running to throw her arms around Vilmah's plate covered legs.
"See what I mean?" Vilmah said with mock exhaspiration. "She's out for the kill already."
Rosette didn't much notice Bloodscream, until she saw Vilmah's attention drawn away from her. It was then that she looked up with her one eye and shyly hid her face from him behind Vilmah's leg. Her mirthful smile betrayed any thoughts that she might have been afraid of him.
Nojinbu
06-11-2007, 11:25 AM
He held his tongue.
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 12:49 PM
Bloodscream looked down at the little thing. She had obviously had a less than joyous life thus far, she wore the scars of it plainly.
Bloodscream crouched down, the child was clearly not afraid of him.
"Brave little squirt ain't she?" he asked, his left hand still in his bag.
Bloodscream cast a quick glance towards the others in the room. He could sense that each one was waiting, ready for anything. The tension in the room comforted Bloodscream as much as it bothered him.
It comforted him to know that his and Vilmah's secret appeared at least at this time, to still be theirs. He grinned knowingly at Vilmah.
"I gotta tell ya... the urge to yell "Now Abric!" and dive behind a table... is strong... very very strong, but not everyone here has my sense of humour do they little one?" he asked the child, clearly not expecting an answer.
His brought out his left hand from his bag.
He was holding something and he tried not to grin as he pulled it out, trying to picture what was going on inside the trolls head.
It was about ten inches long and covered in metallic plates.
It looked an awful lot like a burly orc in armor.
It had a little shield and a little axe.
It was wearing little tankatronic goggles.
It even had a tiny little Grim tabbard.
"I started work on this a few months back as a gag gift for you." He said softly, obviously addressing Vilmah and not the child he held the doll out to.
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 12:56 PM
It took her a few seconds, but Vilmah burst into laughter. The doll was adorable, if not somewhat disturbing.
"I guess you wanted me to be prepared, in case I should ever want to burn you in effigy."
Rosette's hiding game was cut short when she saw the doll. Putting her hands over her mouth, she made a surprised face and pointed from the doll, to Bloodscream, and back again. To a three year old child, he bore a strong resemblance to Kromag. Giggling, Rosette pounded a fist to her chest and repeated her uncle's word, "Orc!", before pointing again to the doll and to Bloodscream.
"That's right," Vilmah said as she pat the girl's head, the worst of her scars covered by her hat. "That's Bloodscream, and he's an orc. Like me."
"Vi-vi?" Rosette asked, and then rambled off in a series of incomprehensable common before returning to orcish with, "Vi-vi orc? Ba-luuud orc."
The little girl giggled again and pointed to Bloodscream.
"Baaa-lud. Ba-ba. Heee!"
Nojinbu
06-11-2007, 01:06 PM
Nojinbu let a smile creep out at Rosette's happiness.
"Sa, Why din ya jus say ya be 'ere fa dat, eh?"
he looked vilmah.
"An why din ya say 'e was ta be expected?"
Nojinbu sighed and flopped into a chair.
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 01:09 PM
"Tell you the truth, I didn't expect him to come," she said to Nojinbu. Rosette crept away from Vilmah's legs and walked towards the doll, then stood in front of Bloodscream, bouncing on her heels.
"I know how busy he can be."
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 01:13 PM
Bloodscream grinned. He had often seen her smile but the times where he could recall hearing Vilmah laugh out loud were few, he stopped and stared at her a while then turned his attention back to the child, hoping no one had noticed.
"Wait for it" he said. "I'm not in the habit of making dolls."
He reached over and grabbed a small chain that was protruding from the dolls back. He pulled the fine crafted chain back about six inches and released it. It started to disappear into the doll once more and as it did a slightly metallic voice was heard.
"Lupen sucks!" came the voice. Bloodscream just grinned.
"It says other stuff too but that's my favorite."
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 01:15 PM
"I didn't say cause you didn't ask Noj, you did what everyone else does, you saw seven feet of armored Orc wearing the colors of the Grim and you assumed the worse... I'm used to it." Bloodscream said softly, not wanting to raise his voice and frighten the child.
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 01:25 PM
Vilmah bit her lips, trying to stifle her laughter. She was so overcome that tears streamed from her eyes. Rosette clasped her hands together and continued bouncing in front of the doll.
"Ba-ba!" She repeated, looking back at Nojinbu and pointing at the doll as if to say, "did you see that??".
"You're.. really good at that, you know," Vilmah finally said, wiping her eyes. "You should make it a habit to do stuff like that. Maybe you'd cheer up the rest of your guild.. but you know, seeing that made all of the other stuff I've just dealt with worth it."
She knelt behind Rosette and put her arms around the girl's waist, watching as she played with the doll.
"What do we say, Rosette?"
The little girl beamed before throwing her arms around Bloodscream's leg. "Thak-uuu!"
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 01:35 PM
Bloodscream looked startled but not startled enough not to quickly bring an armored hand down to his knee, covering a rather vicious looking spike, caked with dried gore.
"Careful little one, spikey bits... and I kneed an elf in the face just this morning and who KNOWS where he'd been..."
He took a moment to show the child how to pull back on the chain.
"For the Horde!" the voice came forth.
"Sooooo...does she breathe fire or something? What's the big deal?" he asked watching the child. "She hardly looks menacing..."
The child seemed to have grasped the concept of the chain.
"Gimme pie!" came the voice.
"Lupen sucks!" "Hands off ma healer!" "Hands off ma healer!" "Gimme pie!" "For the Horde!"
Bloodscream smiled weakly at Vilmah, I can turn the volume down a smidge if it gets annoying"
Nojinbu
06-11-2007, 01:40 PM
Nojinbu smiled at his daughter. He then stood up and stepped out of the room, making himself scarce.
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 01:40 PM
Vilmah shrugged, and Rosette quickly rose the doll triumphantly into the air, running around the floor at full speed. She fell, but quickly got up again to continue running and making sound effects that sounded like "woosh!" and "keeeee!"
"I think people see a lot of themselves in her, is the problem," Vilmah sighed. "I mean, your mistress is pissed 'cuz she thinks that she won't have a normal childhood, or so she says.. and Lupen's pissed 'cuz he's -always- mad at anything that happens where he's not rap--,"
She stopped herself short, remembering the child present.
"..er.. well, Lupen's a tool. Yichimet? I'm dissapointed because he's always been so nice to me, but he's got a grudge with anything that isn't Horde. The other ones, I dunno.. I mean, she's not dangerous. She's just a little girl! I'm beginning to think that a bunch of your guys are just being viscious for the sake of looking like jerks.
"It's a little disheartening to think that they'd go so far as to threaten a three year old to make themselves look tough. Don't we have corrupted dragons, for that?"
Lascivious
06-11-2007, 01:56 PM
It was about ten inches long and covered in metallic plates.
i was scared for a moment there.
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 02:01 PM
i was scared for a moment there.
((Not me! *wiggles eyebrows*))
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 02:03 PM
Bloodscream shrugged.
"Well we're not called the Huggy Love Flower Gang ya know?"
"I just don't have much of a stomach for double standards."
"Oh..." he suddenly remembered handing Vilmah a small circular metal disk on a rope. "Here, keep this in a safe place, when she's older, I'll teach her how to arm the doll..."
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 02:07 PM
"Yeah, but gimme a break Blood.. you'd think that a bunch of grown adults with tons of ancient weapons and mystical powers would have better things to do than want to off a three year old."
Taking the disk, Vilmah smiled and traced the rim with her fingertip. She sighed.
"The world'd be so much easier if more people would just get over themselves. I'm so tired of having to defend my beliefs for just a little shred of happiness."
Niethan
06-11-2007, 02:54 PM
Niethan eased up on the grin enough so his face would stop hurting, then calmly walked inside and away from the crowd near the door as soon as he could. Range was better, anyway, and Bloodscreams thinly-veiled comment on his weapon almost made Niethan chuckle. He'd been stabbed before in broad daylight, in the middle of a city on more than one occasion. He wasn't taking chances with this much tension, even if it -was- in Shattrath.
He left the conversation behind, though kept his ears pricked for accurate eavesdropping, and murmured to Nagendra to stop weighing down his armor. The serpent hissed a laugh, making a comment to the effect that, weighted down or not, he wasn't quick enough to stop Vilmah from burning herself.
Niethan sighed, thinking over what Vilmah had told him about Bloodscream. Nagendra slid into Niethan's skin and curled up, filling the uneasy pit in his stomach.
Malstrom
06-11-2007, 03:29 PM
Malstrom stubbed out his nearly finished cigar.
It had been quite a while, and still no sign of Bloodscream.
Then again, there was no screaming, no blood coming from under the door, no sound of the clash of steel-on-steel.
He put his ear to the door. Stupid, thick wooden door. He could hear nothing. He tried to peer into one of the windows, but the shades were pulled.
He walked around the building trying to find some nook, crack or cranny that would let him peer in. Nothing dammit.
He wondered what all the fuss was about. First there were angry Grim. Then angry Sanctuary. Then angry Anaie. Yichimet. Lascivious and now Bloodscream. He wondered if he should be angry too.
He suddenly started feeling hungry again. It had been at least an hour since he had eaten anything.
He wondered if that little human was still around. He wondered if he could find mustard...
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 03:32 PM
((Noooo! She would be so much tastier with duck sause! ^^))
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 04:47 PM
Bloodscream sat down on the floor.
"Ya... I don't much get it either. Personally I think this whole stink came out of...well I don't want to start lobbing accusations at anyone wearing your colors...It'll blow over. The child will be fine, keep her here in Shattrath and the power of the Starborn will keep her safe..."
Bloodscream looked around.
"Not quite as spikey and gore-alisicous as our digs." he commented.
"Probably safer for a child..."
Bloodscream reached into his bag and pulled out a slim wooden box adorned with shamanic runes. He opened it and steam came forth. He raised his eyebrows twice rapidly and grinned.
"You want some pie?" he asked, pulling a piping hot cherry pie from the box. Another pie just like it appeared in the box as he closed it.
"I just don't know... I think the world has gotten to be a very messed up place. The Humans... well the humans... nothing really more needs to be said does it? Every orc who lives and breathes free air has reasons enough to hate them all doesn't he?"
"Hate is a powerful force... it can consume you."
"Maybe I'm growing up, I don't know... Funny thing is, The Grim did this to me... I used to run into battle, an axe in each hand roaring death and destruction to all who dared stand in my way and I was damn good at it."
Bloodscream took a bite of pie and chewed silently, looking whistful.
"Ever since I took up the shield... it's strange. I think I've spent so much time in a defensive posture that it's bleeding into my philosophy..."
Bloodscream shifted uncomfortably. He winced and reached into his bags pulling out several weapons, each nastier looking than the other. He peered into the bag.
"How come they came make a magic bag that holds an armory of weaponry but they can't stop them from poking me in the ass when I sit?"
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 04:54 PM
Vilmah giggled, sitting next to Bloodscream.
"Because nobody uses common sense. See? This is why I wear my shield lower than everyone else does," she leaned in and whispered. "To keep people from staring at my ass."
Shaking her head, she waved a dismissive hand.
"And don't give your philosophy a second guess. You're a good person, why is that wrong? I mean, I'm guilty of being vengeful. Everytime I go to Old Hillsbrad, I just want to slaughter them all.. it's bad memories, you know? I remember being caged.. but.. she's not them. She's just a little girl. She doesn't deserve their contempt. She deserves a family that loves her."
Fidgetting with her hands, she looked down.
"In the end, doesn't everyone?"
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 05:10 PM
"Well... everyone except warlocks." Bloodscream said with a smile.
"Look, the way I see it... it's kodocrap anyways. Oh look at me! Grrrr! Must kill all humans! Grrrrrrr! OH REALLY? Well as soon as they put as much effort into trying to kill the humans of Cenarion and the Argent Dawn then I'll back their play to kill your kid... until then, it's a shitty double standard and I won't play."
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 05:13 PM
Vilmah leaned against Bloodscream. She made sure not to be too close, it was just a friendly gesture. She hoped her sigh didn't betray her.
"I'm glad. And grateful. Thank you for coming and seeing her, and for the doll. It was real sweet of you to stop by. You should come more often! Maybe for dinner or something. I'll be sure to make pie."
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 05:16 PM
Bloodscream chuckled.
"Well been so busy and well... you know I don't play well with others. Just look at the rigamarole I had to go through just to walk in... Frankly I'm shocked. I was sure I'd have to do some explaining after mentioning the doll was explosive..."
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 05:21 PM
Vilmah grinned and punched Bloodscream playfully in the joint, where there was no armor.
"Stop it.. you big silly. Geezoo.." She wiggled her nose and folded her arms. "I don't know why I should believe a word you say. With that big scary tabard, you're just a villain waiting to happen, ne?"
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 05:26 PM
Bloodscream blinked.
"Err no seriously, that disk I gave you before... I meant it. There's a korium power core inside that doll...I mean... I'm an engineer, I make bombs... that's what I do."
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 05:31 PM
Vilmah blinked.
"You.. gave my kid an explosive."
Her face paled and she sat up straight, pointing at Bloodscream with a frightened expression.
"You g-gave her an explosive?!?"
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 05:33 PM
Bloodscream raised his hands.
"Woah woah woah no I gave YOU the explosives, she has a cleverly concealed armament with a dormant power core!"
Vilmah
06-11-2007, 05:34 PM
"'oh! Geez, Blood, you're ready to give me a heart attack.."
She shook her head, panting slightly. An instant later, she playfully smacked him on his thick neck, trying hard to remain serious and not laugh.
"Don't scare me like that!"
Bloodscream
06-11-2007, 05:38 PM
Bloodscream relaxed visibly.
"Like I said... hang onto that disk and when she's older, I'll teach her how to arm it. It'll pack a hell of a wallup... you don't wanna hear this part right now... I can see it cause that vein in your forehead is starting to throb... that's not a good look for you..." He grinned playfully.
He stayed a while, sitting on the floor, next to her, saying nothing.
Malstrom
06-11-2007, 06:32 PM
Pie. Malstrom smelled pie coming from the Sanctuary guildhall. This could mean one of three things.
The first possiblity was that Skash was hiding behind the guildhall. He walked around and checked. No Skash.
The second was that they turned Bloodscream into pie. He sniffed the wind. Nope. Cherry.
The third was that Bloodscream was eating pie.
He nodded. Bloodscream was fine. Probably catching up.
He was still hungry so he walked off towards the merchant district to find himself his own pie. Preferably one with minced meat. He hoped they took the tabard off before mincing it this time. Last time he was picking Alliance tabard from his teeth for the rest of the day...
Chikt
06-11-2007, 10:22 PM
Diomades moved silently around the Grim guildhall. He was no rogue, but ghostwolf combined with his camoflage elixirs helped a lot. He had little doubt that there would be members of the Grim at Sanctuary, likely looking for a way in or watching what was going on inside despite their orders. Typical. He might as well put his investigative prowess to use and do some watching of his own.
Hunkering down behind a couple of crates and barrels and laying upon his chest, he simply listened silently to the events inside the Grims guildhall.
Grimfury
06-12-2007, 02:45 PM
Grim had long since fallen dead asleep in the corner of the room, totally missing the entire episode with Bloodscream. Smelling pie he began to come around. Unfortunately it was cherry pie so, bidding Vilmah and friends adieu, Grim decided he would venture out and try to drum up some Gnome pie.......mmmm that sounded good.
Chingaso
06-13-2007, 05:57 PM
Chingaso returned to the Grim hall satisfied with his hunt but unfulfilled in his need to confront Vilmah. He had also heard rumors of a mass confrontation in Shattrah and now needed more information and ammunition before facing the Sanctuary warboss.
But something in the Grim hall was wrong. He could smell it...
Using his tracking, Chingaso narrows down the scent. A shaman. But not a shaman of the enemy; not the blue tentacled monstrosities that perverted shamanism to serve the devices of the Alliance...no, a Tauren...
Chingaso approaches the larder and addresses the intruder. "Diomades come out. Why spy on grim. Diomades tell Chingaso before Chingaso forget that diomades ally..."
Chikt
06-13-2007, 07:00 PM
Dio blinked as he was found and slipped out of his ghost wolf form and into his Tauren one, standing at his full height upon his hooves in the blue and silver Tidefury chainmail that he wore to battle.
"I spy on the Grim to gurantee the safety and security of Sanctuary, since I know that members of the Grim will likely take up arms against Vilmah... though maybe rather than just hiding and waiting for a good reason to kill one of you I should have made my presence more known so that your guild might not consider it. But then, considering how people have been acting lately, I could see that just setting myself up for getting attacked by all of you."
He shook his head and crossed his arms.
"As a peacekeeper of the Horde, I reserve the right to stay here and watch your movements in order to prevent any and all hostile action against Sanctuary."
Bloodscream
06-13-2007, 11:21 PM
After a quiet hour by Vilmah's side, Bloodscream returned home. He could not control his brothers and sisters, he could only hope they had better things to do then cause strife among the horde instead of killing Alliance.
Skywise stayed behind as he travelled back to Azeroth, to Orgrimmar, to the familiar and angrily appointed halls of the Grim. Perhaps Malstrom was around and up for a spot of mischief, Bloodscream was feeling relaxed and that always led to killing.
Walking into the main hall, he was somewhat surprised to hear a voice he did not recognize but a sentence he heard clearly enough.
Bloodscream just leaned against the doorframe, intent on letting Chingaso handle it but his mouth had other ideas and without checking with his brain, spoke up.
" The true measure of that irony Dio is that if you insist on staying HERE... the only hostile action against Sanctuary you will see will be the one we perpetrate on YOU."
Bloodscream snorted and cracked his neck to the side.
"I do not enter your house uninvited, now leave before I lose my temper."
Chingaso
06-14-2007, 09:22 AM
Chingaso looks from Diomades to Bloodscream and breaks out in a not altogether pleasant smile...
"No, Blood, Dio speak Chingaso now. Perhaps leave when finish, but Chingaso have question need answer."
Chingaso turns back to Diomades.
"Diomades say Chingaso this; which of Grim act against Vilmah? So far only attack Grim of other Grim, and both no Grim now."
Chikt
06-14-2007, 11:32 AM
"I am not here to fight. I am here to watch."
Diomades bowed his head.
"None of the Grim have yet acted against Vilmah. But that is why I am here, in an effort to prevent any action in future should the possibility arise."
Bloodscream
06-14-2007, 01:42 PM
Bloodscream smiled at Chingaso. Most irredeemables didn't take kindly to having their orders questioned but Bloodscream was particularly forgiving of orcs, and after all, Chingaso was entitled to some answers.
"As you wish hunter but when you are done, he IS leaving... Which opening he leaves through and under who's power yet remains for him to decide..."
Chikt
06-14-2007, 02:53 PM
Diomades narrowed his eyes at Bloodscreams words, but kept his mouth shut. He didn't want to spark a fight. Looking back to Chingaso, he smiled slightly.
"You understand that I am merely trying to keep my friends and family safe. Which I'm sure even Bloodscream could understand. If I have to step on some toes to do it, so be it. But I am not here to fight. I am here to prevent fighting."
Chaindog
06-14-2007, 04:05 PM
A tall female troll walks into the guildhall followed by a large black wolf with a large leather bag hung off her back and notices Bloodscream, Chingaso and a unfamiliar tauren in the common room.
"Greets Chingaso, Bloodscream, and guest tauren." Says Chaindog. "Me be Chaindog, hunter of da Grim and dis be Gutwrench!" she gestures to her wolf who is busy sniffing Chingaso's wolf.
Chaindog turns to the table and sweeps an arm across the table sending some used plates and cups to the floor. Gutwrench notices a partially eaten leg of mutton now on the floor and quickly sinks his fangs into it and starts ripping the meat from the mutton.
She then upends the bag and dumps out a gnome onto the table. The gnome quickly orients itself and makes a mad dash for the door. Chaindog's hand shoots and grabs the gnome by the nape of the neck and lifts it off the table. She then slams the gnome down on the table to daze it a little. Pinning it with one hand she grabs her Finkle's Skinning knife off her belt and unsheathes it. She flips the blade into the air to change her grasp on the blade.
The gnome now apparent of its future starts screaming. Chaindog, undetered, starts cutting into the gnome. The screams esculate in volume and the limbs start flailing around trying to get out of Chaindog's grasp.
Gutwrench, now noticing live dinner is about to be served dances around wagging it's tail. Chaindog notices this and says to Gutwrench, "Yous be wanting dis?" she gestures to the screaming gnome. Gutwrench barks and and jumps up and down. Chaindog raises her hand up in the air and with a look of feral glee in her eyes slams the dagger through the gnome's shoulder and into the table pinning it in place. Now that both hands are free she places a hand on the shoulder and the other grabs an arm. She tightens her grips and pulls and twists. The gnome screams even louder and a loud popping sound is heard and then tearing as Chaindog rips the arm off. Blood spurts all over the table, cutlery, plates and herself. She tosses the arm in the air and Gutwrench launches himself off the floor and snatches it out of the air. Chingaso's wolf then lunges for Gutwrench and the two have a tug of war with the arm and it eventually rips in half at the elbow.
The gnome finally growing silent due to blood loss slows in it's flailing. Chaindog pulls the knife out of the table and continues cutting. A moment or two later she puts the knife down on the table and sticks her hand into the gnome and pulls out something.
She then turns to the unknown tauren talking with Chingaso and Bloodscream. "Yous be wanting gnome giblets? Is really tasty when it be fresh." She gestures to the tauren with an open hand containing a pair of the gnome's testicles dripping blood.
Malstrom
06-14-2007, 04:50 PM
The odor and sound of fresh gnome could not escape Malstrom and it drew him directly to the Grim guildhall.
Entering the hall, he nods to the others assembled in the room, paying special notice to Diomades and Bloodscream, and walks over to the table where Chaindog has her gnome.
"I knew I be smellin' gnome".
Smacking his lips, he says: "I gotta good recipe for giblets, sistah. I cook 'em up for ya, but ya give me an arm?". Saying this he pulls out some freshly bought mustard, and a bag of herbs.
"Too bad we don' got no elf. Giblet stuffed elf be mighty tasty...."
He looks at Chaindog hopefully.
Bloodscream
06-14-2007, 05:05 PM
The look on Bloodscream face was a mix of horror and revulsion.
"What...the HELL CHAINDOG!" He looked at the gutted gnome still oozing all over the table.
"Are you out of your bloody mind?!?" He asked almost roaring.
"We have a room for doing that! I eat BREAKFAST at this table!" Bloodscream was waving his arms as he shouted, obviously quite irrate.
"Now there's fricken Gnome all over it, it's gunna stink for... aw not on the bench too! I ALWAYS sit there... By Hellscream I outta beat you senseless! LOOK AT THIS MESS!"
"...and by the way... either knock them out or cut out their tongues but I mean rude much? Who the hell can have a conversation while you're doing THAT I ask?"
Bloodscream looked at the table, the bench, the floor. He looked...disheartened.
" I been sitting there for breakfast since the day I walked through those doors... now look at it... dammit Chain."
Malstrom
06-14-2007, 05:17 PM
Upon hearing Bloodscream's objections, Malstrom grabs up a rag and starts to clean up the blood and mess.
"No worries, mon. You jes' relax dere. I clean up. No big problem." he says to his friend, smiling.
He nods at Chain, whispering to her "Kitchen woulda been bettah. Blood bit sensitive to da troll diet sometime. In truth, dey more tendah if ya knock 'em out first."
With water and rag, cleaning up is quick but sure does work up a hunger....
Redcap
06-15-2007, 07:16 AM
Recap wondered into the room on his way to The Library, spotting the only investigator he knew of Redcap walked quickly over to Diomades.
"Hey there, Hi Dio, what's going on?" Looking around Redcap remembered he wasn't at the tavern outside Undercity, where he had met Dio before but in his own guildhall. seeing his guildmates Redcap's boyish look changed to a more practiced demeanor, clearing his throat and his stance you could feel the salt dripping off his next words.
"Ahoy, Tauren. How did ye know I be lookin for answers and why are ya here?"
Redcaps stance changed from a gawky adolescent to a carefree swagger he had learned from his Capt'n and glanced around the room.
Anaie
06-15-2007, 10:00 AM
Anaie's first instinct when she saw Diomades in the orc capital was to approach him and speak to the fellow that Redcap spoke so highly of. That changed quickly, however, as she saw the large Tauren swallow a potion as he moved through the streets and make his way toward the direction of her old guildhall. Soon, the massive creature was a small ghost-like wolf, a trick she had seen Kharzak use many times. While not totally hidden from the world, the wolf form was difficult to detect if not looking for it, and with the distance between the two, she did not want to take any chances. She pressed a button on her goggles that enhanced the world around her for a limited time, allowing Anaie to detect even the best of sneaks. She followed the shaman all the way to the Grim guildhall, and watched him make his way in...
Anaie resisted the urge to follow him in and have her blades at his neck to find out what he was up too.... further strife with Sanctuary wouldn't help her situation with the Grim any. Plus, it was no longer her place to enter that guildhall and execute intruders.
Besides, she was confident one of the Grims many hunters would detect the shaman. For Dio's sake he'd better hope it wasn't Muatah that found him. Anaie giggled to herself as she turned and made her way back toward the Auction House, and then back to her home in Shattrath.
Chingaso
06-15-2007, 04:23 PM
Chingaso looks about at the mayhem, chuckles lowly, and turns to the tauren.
"Diomades, Chingaso understand wish protect family. Chingaso also wish no ill Vilmah, although wish answers. Vilmah need watch most for Chingaso cousin Gorvena, but Chingaso make sure no harm Vilmah.
Now, as Blood suggest, perhaps Diomades have report for Sanctuary. Say Nojinbu especial that Chingaso send greet and wish no ill."
Chingaso turns to his wolf Caliente and whistles sharply.
"Caliente drop gnome arm. No sick up in Chingaso room like last."
Caliente looks up from his prize, sullenly but obediently abandoning it to Gutwrench as he returns to Chingaso's side.
Serjazul
06-18-2007, 02:23 PM
He awoke as Bloodscream berated Chaindog. Where am I? The Forsaken landed gracefully to the floor, after having not-so-gracefully fallen from the Hall's rafters. He wasn't quite sure why the pungent smell of gnome was so alluring, though he didn't bother to fight it. He always had an open mind, after all. He eyed his surroundings and checked his hands; although he didn't recognize the building he was in, or those in it, things were well enough in order for his standards.
"Hello-hello!" He spoke cheerfully, though to no one in particular. "Is this breakfast or dinner before me? Are we all here to eat?"
This Forsaken assumed he had met many, if not all of those before him. In fact, he had never been to the Halls of the Grim before. His skin and bones were particularly dry, and picked as if he were incredibly old, or perhaps obsessively clean.
Qabian
06-18-2007, 03:35 PM
Qabian knocked once, but only once. He wasn't particularly enjoying the idea of formalities at that moment. "I was told this is the hall of the Grim? My name is Qabian. I was hoping to make an appointment with a troll of your--"
He choked on his words as he noticed the carnage on the table and the viscera Chaindog was offering the others in the room. His tanned face went first pale and then positively green. "Belore," he whispered under his breath.
"Perhaps... I'll... come back later," he said, swallowing between his words, his expression one of physical distress. He clapped one hand over his mouth and turned on his heel. He walked back the way he had come in as slowly and calmly as he could manage, but once he was free of the hall enough that he hoped none were watching, he took off at a run.
Later when his stomach had emptied and settled and he was sitting alone at home in Silvermoon with a glass of vintage Southsea port, he mused, "Well, at least one of them was trying to clean up. But still, I'm sure if one is going to eat Gnome that it would taste much better toasted."
Fallacy

Fallacy had found what he was looking for. It didn't take long to simply open up communications with one of the other watchers guarding the Caverns. He had to find out the answer to what had dragged in his mind since he saw the incident in Shattrath.
He had seen Rosette before. Not as she was as he had seen her in Shattrath, but he recognized her unmistakeable face. However, no trace of when or where he had he could find, so it must have been a glancing moment, like it was from far off.
The answer he recieved was astonishing, and it was all he could do to keep himself from going and whisking the child away himself. He was already in hot water for his actions, so he had to constantly remind himself of one of the greatest rules of the watchers: No person in the current timeline is responsible for their actions in the future, unless it is inevitably unpreventable.
So, Fallacy found himself spurning Danakh on back towards Shattrath. He might not be able to interfere, but he could give a warning. Giving the heavy door to the Sanctuary guild hall a hard knock, he called out to whoever might be inside.
"I need to talk to Vilmah, now!"
