Weirdest thing happend. Alteza, one of my guildmates, got a tell from someone in a language she couldn't understand. Asked me about it, it turns out it was mandarin chinese.

I translated and gave her an appropriate reply. I ended up contacting the guy myself and there followed about 2 hours of chatting. It was very interesting.

My truly abysmal chinese, compounded by having to convert chinese characters into 'pinyin' or romanised characters, lead to some hilarious misunderstandings.

Oddly enough the guy was really cool, I got a chance to practice my chinese as well.

I'm thinking of inviting him on an instance at some point. As long as he doesn't ninja, it should be good.

I befriended a farmer, though its kind of hard to understand what he says a lot of the times since I have two asian friends who translate for me, I had a note pad full of things to say to them or what to say if I don't understand them.

Only downside, is that they always ask me to come help them and then it ends up horde ganking us. :lol:

Good point, however, in this particular case, I just have to give a wave to karma. It doesn't work often, but it's a bastard when it does.

Its actually pretty fun to talk to them, I kind of wish they had a CGF Mod that would let you talk to them easier. Some of the words I use or they use, none of us have any clue what their saying.

I respect Farmers, besides the damn prices, but they really hate their job and they know enough and hate it so much when they are spit on. I kind of feel sorry for them.

Good point Vilmah. I used to be a salesman, and you know, I hate salesmen. They are just doing what they have to to make ends meet. No one deserves to be treated like crap because of thier job, your job is how you make money, it is not who you are. Of course if you happen to be a drug dealer/illegal arms trader etc that is like the exception to the rule. Mostly it only works for ya know, legitimate legal professions. Like oriental WoW farmer.
