Just a quick OOC note:

Last night, I left the Greyward. The reasons for it are pretty complicated, very emotional and mostly private - all on top of the fact that I don't have the drive at this point to run a guild. However, the RP base is mostly following my lead. Most of them are joining Rooks - I'll probably stay guildless for a while.

To the best of my understanding, the Greyward is -not- disbanding but being restructured into a Blood Orchid-type of deal. A heavy bulk of the guild is 39-49 and levelling fast to 49, to sit at the top of the 40s bracket and PvP for a good long time.

Despite the guild changing into something different from what it was intended to be, it's still made up of fantastic players, and the RP over there isn't dead. It's just not as devoted as it used to be, and as some of us would have liked. And you can't force people to RP, ultimately. I still have tremendous love for the people in that guild, and wish them all well. I simply don't know how involved in the RP world they're going to be.

A little gnome mage named Tinkey is the new GM. Feel free to invite them to IC stuff.

Thanks for your time.

Rhowen:

Sorry to hear about all the turmoil. Running a guild takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Sadly, it can also detract from your game experience since you have to respond when people need something and there are always people that need something. Being guildless can be fun - no responsibilities and you can do what you want when you want. It can also get kind of lonely. If you get bored or want to RP or need anything, let me know.

Did you want to leave the Greyward in the RP Guilds sticky here? If their primary focus is no longer RP, then I'd prefer that they not be included in that list (they certainly welcome to be in our overall guildlisting on the site, of course ^^)

I am sorry about your Guild Rhowen. I understand how hard it is to run one, specialy when you feel the responsability to give your Guildmates the best experience that you can offer. It preety much becomes a second job with stress and all.

While leading the Frostwolf Brotherhood, I realized that about 80% of my play time was guild duties. I was only able to go or quest when I was either helping someone at a similar level than myself or when online at about 3am US time.

I am sure that you will soon find a place again where you can be happy.

Mortica ~ For now, you'd probably want to pull them from the RP guild listing. I'll let Tinkey know that if he plans to keep the primary focus RP that he should come here and get in touch with you, good deal? Thanks, I wouldn't have thought of that.

To everyone else - hug your GM today. The daily amount of stress and work that goes into it can never really be understood until you've done it yourself.

*Huggles* I might not be in a guild, due to one of the most hated druids, but I respect you Rhowen. If you ever need someone or a friend to hang out with, you can hang with the lone cat.

Though I must warn you... I spend my days taking naps, splashing in the water looking for fish and getting paid by the gnomes for every rat I kill around the tram area.

Yeah but you follow his orders dont you rifts fanboi!??!!?

In other news. I know how it is. When things cease to be entertaining and you find you feel like you are paying blizzard so you can have the right to work part time as a babysitter/gamer psychologist/community manager it is time to take a reality check. If something is making you not have fun you need to remove yourself from it. You may feel a little guilty about it now, maybe not, but you did the right thing I would bet.

I still have it, Rho. My offer still stands :3

Oh, Ker-bear, how I adore you. You put the biggest stupid smile on my face. :P

As for me, it wasn't a responsibility thing, or a work thing... I knew exactly how much work it would be, going into it. It wasn't cracking under the pressure, it wasn't not being able to handle the work-load...

...I realized, the other day, I knew like, five people, in a guild of forty. And I thought, "What am I doing here?" It's very depressing, and we've been wallowing in nostalgic self-pity for days gone by in my Ooc for the last 24 hours, but the game rolls on. <3 Time to make new memories!

I would be more than happy to assist her in her...passing.
Oh, and Keraph, we do need to venture into Stratholme again sometime.

>_>

*ahem* Anyway...

Rho, OOC, ya know if you ever need anything I'm more than willing and happy to help. Even if it's just to vent, or cry about cigs. ^_~ I hope you find your enjoyment in the game again and can finally let go of all that stress.

*lubbles*

IC, of course, Kuro will still likely make polite verbal cuts for the time being. ^_~

IC, Rho would expect nothing less, and has not forgotten about Kuro's... pasttimes. *Bows.*

Passtimes? You mean her leatherworking, or her sitting about Stormwind chatting it up with her friends, or her shopping sprees?

Unless, of course, we're going with guilt by association. I wounder how many charges Rhowen would have if we were to do that.
