...

I don't see them, folks. I see them here, but I don't see them there.

Not my place to take your stuff and put it up in public, because, you should be!

Share the wealth, and attempt to quell the retarded comments with full sentences and things that rthym with "forsooth."

...

Like orc tooh. Or, er, more booth.

Yeah. More booth.

((
I put mine on the Grim forums and sometimes here.
That's enough for me.
They get lost in the shuffle on the WoW TN boards.

I think if you were to run through my past posts, you'll find at least 2, if not 3 posts where I suggest posting things here and there.

When people are shopping for a new server, they're gonna look through the official forums, and if a RP'er doesn't see any RP there, then what are the chances that they will pick this server?

Instead you find all the normal Q AV, and so and so ganked me, and so and so guild sucks. Which attracts the wrong kind of people here ;)

So, please, double post.

*formally endorsing this thread*

even if me and Abric aren't "bumping uglies" as he so eloquently put it :P

The biggest problem with the main boards, and why they need moderators so badly, is the signal to noise ratio. It's the worst of any forums I've ever frequented.

Something is on there for a few hours, and then it's gone in a wave of toxic garble and utterly pointless leetspeak.

Still, I understand the point of posting there is to draw more people here and encourage roleplaying, keeping it alive on the server.

Heh, if your statement was a question - the second part would answer it.

I don't want to make this an inferno like Kurohane's. I want this to be more of a ... nudge in the right direction.

The time I started this topic, I had gone through the Twisting Nether forum and brought out the old "ba-da bump." This is something that a large number of us used to do around January... but kind of died out. People started to get *really* pissed that we were doing it; so they were also "ba-da bump"ing all the stupid stuff - to swarm over our decent stuff... so all you got was garbled stuff on top of all the compliants about it!

DOOM! DOOM I say!

Though, like most adults with little time our own hands... we just gave up and went on to other things.

While I am not promoting the "ba-da bump" (actually, I am... but only me because I'm selfish); I am promoting that people put SOMETHING up so it CAN be given the "ba-da bump."

Not to mention, with Castor here - we have be on good behavior. He's like the health inspector... or the land lord.

Hide the cats!

EDIT: Still have Castor ignored when he was Horde. No clue what level he is. DOOM!

Maybe the point is.. when we're trolling the regular forums and see an RP post... ((/bump)) just in courtesy. I know I feel so-so about posts that are /bumped to high hell... but it's worth it when we know that it'll get past all those...

RSA SUXXXORZZ!! <-- And it's become apparent that they don't suck!

PHAT LEWTZ PWWWAEV!

WTB FIRY INCHANT FOR 19 TWINK ROGUE DEADMINES RUN PWWWWWAAZZZZE!

I know the leet was gratuitous, but I just couldn't help myself.

/agree

There was a recent event involving other Alliance guilds. I proposed The Steel Brotherhood get involved - we're not really a guild known for RP, but many of us are RPers so I thought we'd at least get a couple behind it.

No one wanted anything to do with it. It wasn't posted on the TN boards, it was posted here. They didn't want to come to the TN Gazette for RP and didn't think anyone should have to. And they're not wrong.

The TN forums reflect our community. I was looking for an RP-PVP server to play Horde-side and trolled the other RP-PVP forums. Of four of them I only found one with RP posts within the first two pages (Emerald Dream). I found some decent RP guilds and hung out with them a while. I came back to TN to level Xeran some more ... I also like the RP better here. Still: the quality of their RP was reflected on their boards which is why I went there.

We need to post the RP stuff on the TN WoW Forums as well as here. I like reading the RP here because it's moderated and the stories can stay visible longer. If you expect the larger community to care, however, they need to be in both places, IMHO.
