Verloran sat in the Salty Sailor Inn, still waiting for Skafloc to show. He had spoken with Lovely the day earlier, and it got him thinking. The encounter was painful for him, but not much, as he barely recognized her anymore.
What had got him thinking the most was Lovely's explaining to him her new loyalty to The Grim. What it had gotten him thinking was that he wanted to talk to her again. Yesterday was too short. Things were left unspoken between them, and Verloran wanted to fix that.
He got up and searched the upstairs rooms until he found some paper and a quill, then found a desk and began to write.

It was truly nice seeing you yesterday. If you are not too busy, I would like to speak with you again today, as our last meeting was rather short. I'm still in the Salty Sailor, if you would like to drop by.

Verloran walked outside and dropped the letter in the mailbox. It would reach Lovely soon enough... he hoped she would come. He didn't know if he could really make a difference by now, but he had to try. Lovely was his friend, and he wasn't going to do nothing while she spent her time with people sworn to kill her former friends.
