Kaylim

(Hello everyone! I'm new to the Open RP part of forums, but I wanted to start one. Everyone named in this story is actually a person in game. This story kinda details the fall of The Knight Watch, and Kaylim's exploits afterward. I really hope this spills over in-game and everyone has a good time with it. Btw, this battle actually happened in game.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With a grunt, Kaylim Greyhelm slammed his shield into the face of the troll, ending the
spell it was casting before it could do any real damage. Using the force of the shield bash as
leverage he caught the troll under the chin with his spiked mace, sending the troll up and over a
small tombstone nearby.
Looking quickly around, he saw that the battle at Raven Hill was going poorly for his
Knights. The Horde that had attacked this remote part of Darkshire were ruthless and more skilled
than The Knight Watch. Still, the Knights outnumbered the foe and had broke down into teams of
two to battle against the superior foe.
Seeing his brother Anthan and Atemi fighting a savage orc together, Kaylim looked
around to see who needed his help. It was then that he noticed his betrothed, Novalyne, in
mortal combat with the largest Tauren he'd ever seen.
Charging into the fray, Kaylim's sudden attack stunned the Tauren for a split second. Just
long enough for him to step in front of Novalyne, and allow her to finish her spell of healing. As the
tauren warrior came to his senses, he roared in frustration at being denied his victory. With a
mighty heave the tauren hefted his huge axe and attacked the two of them. The battle between
warrior and paladin versus tauren was brutal. The taurens attacks were almost undefendable.
Soon Kaylim's armor was beaten and battered, and blood from his many wounds covered it's
surface. Novalyne did not fair much better. With her two handed sword she worked around the
tauren's defense when she could, and healed the two of them when their wounds got too grievous.
Catching glimpses of the battle around him, Kaylim saw that the Knights now formed
a line of defense in front of the ill trained Alliance they had charged in to defend. That line was
now faltering. Fatigue marked the faces of his friends, and many wounds showed on them all.
It was just a matter of time before the onslaught of the attacking Horde brought the Knights down
and would spell the end for the young Alliance also.
Trying his best to rally his Knights, Kaylim yelled, "Hold the line Knights! Hold for Justice!"
It was at that moment that the tide of battle changed. For what ever reason, the young
Alliance that had stood back in fear and watched the Knights battle the Horde, now grabbed what
weapons they could and charged into the fray.
At the sound of the charging Alliance, Kaylim turned his head to see what was happening. Smiling
through his pain, he winked at Novalyne. This was always his sign to her that the day would be won.
With renewed vigor, he turned to finish off the tauren once, and for all. What happened next he
will never be able to recall. He remembers staggering backwards, unable to hear a thing as blood
poured from his head. As he stumbled backwards, he was soon covered in darkness.......
