are their any good ones? Does sanrin use one?
I use the basic but i have all seals on normal bar, heals and holy spells above normal bar (left actionbar), mount, racials, items in rigth action bar, buffs on side bar 1, and macros/ quick weapon swap's on side bar 2.
I do have CT raid with the bar mod thingy and i dont liek it. I like the lay out of the normal UI with its wowness and eagles on the side etc...idk :-/.

My UI!
It consists of CT, Titan Bar, ItemRack, and a Spell Alert thingie. Sometimes i download a new interface to make my buttons prettier...but for the most part I dont like auto-do-stuff-for-you mods. I keep my buffs on the right, and active spells on the bottom...the only macros I have is a macro that self holy-shocks me...cuz whenever i seem to try to do it manually it tabs me off and makes it register my opponent as the active target.
Oh! And AG_Unitframes, to make my party interface look nicer.

AddOns:
Perl Unit Frames (with arcane bar so you can see the caster bar where the player name is)
ArcHUD2 (so i don't have to look at my unit frame to see my health)
Bagnon (all bags are one and i can see all my character's bags from any character)
Bongos (action bar mod that makes it all clean and transparent)
Deadly Boss Mod (for instances and pvp)
CT_MailMod (mass mail is a must!)
DamageMeters (so i know how awesome i am)
Palatimers (keeping track of buffs i put on people)
Scrolling Combat Text (with damage and eavesdrop)
Titan Bar
ElkBuffBar (buffs, debuffs, weapon buffs)
Atlas (isntance maps, points of interests, etc.)
BattleCry (RP assistance)
Advanced Trade Skill Window (helps put together a list of things needed to purchase for crafting and has a queue and stuff)
mobinfo (inquiring minds like to know)

hmm sarin, thats a good idea. Inbetween my heals 'n flash heals in the middle (for easy and quick clicking) i have a macro named "Self" so i can easly target myself and heal. But doing it your way is like the old CT_raid way when they had the self heal option. I miss it.

There's an option to enable self-casting of friendly spells when a hostile or yellow player/NPC is targeted. It's in there by default too, not a mod.

The guts of my interface consists of AG_unitframes, Bartender, and Clique. Everything else is just data presentation.
I used the default UI for a long time, but frankly, I don't like how it's spread all along the horizontal. I have a widescreen monitor, and getting from my judgment key on the left-hand side to the healing potion key on the right-hand side was a pain.
I dig my current set-up -- everything is stacked with attacks on the left and heals/buffs on the right. I do use a macro that lets me seal with a left click and judge/reseal with a right click. It's handy.

The issue isnt for self healing, its that if you're targeting someone and you push holy shock, it counts as either dps or healing...so if i need an emergency 1k health, manually target myself (or nothing) then get hit, it switches me back to the opponent. With that macro, i just target myself quick and cast holy shock before the game has the time to gay me out...otherwise i have it so all my heals will cast on myself if nothings targeted.

I need to run a wide screen monitor as my main monitor. Things wouldn't feel so cramped then i think. Maybe I'll look into one of those snazzy Dell 30" monitors.

Hm, I dunno, I run a widescreen on my laptop and Ive never had an issue with it feeling super cramped. But then again this is all personal preference ^.^

That's what i'm saying. 4:3 aspect ratio is too narrow for me now. I MUST have 16:9. My second monitor can be narrow as that is for chats and wowhead.
Must have GeForce 8800GTX...
Also, Seal of Blood (the BE pally ability) totally blows.

Bartender has a nice feature: when you right click on a spell, it self casts. Great for heals and blessings.

Bongos used to, but it was removed a few versions ago due to something... stupid bongos...

oh ok, thats holy shock. I was just referring to the normal heals. CT2 doesnt have the option to self heal like the previous one did. So thats why i made a macro to target myselfand then click to heal (to save time moving mouse all the way up and clicking myself and then clicking a heal).
Also when i respec holy it looks like im gunna have 2 extra spells to add to my hotbars and im out of room. I think i saw somewhere that there is a mod for some caster class where their buffs or heals are in theire own little bar. I was hopping the same for the blessings.

Just do what I do: make a macro to cast the spell normally, but if you hold down ALT it targets yourself.
#show Spellname
/cast [nomodifier=alt] Spellname; [target=player] Spellname
(you might need to check the syntax on that...haven't written any macros since I had to convert all of mine to 2.0)

Benecast can do something similar to that. It gives buff buttons next to party members, so you can buff/heal/cleanse that specific player by clicking on the appropriate button by them.

I used Benecast on my old paladin (pre-2.0) and I swore by it, but the newest version is buggy as all heck. It gave me horrible lag and redraw issues whenever I'd open up my character/talent/quest/etc. sheets.

I played in 1680x1050 for a while. Really, it's too much room if anything. I dunno, I prefer keeping it in 1280x1024 on a secondary moniter. 'Course, I also prefer my CRT for gaming, as opposed to the LCD my laptop has. Never really liked LCDs for gaming.

Well, when it comes to holy shock, sanrin has what I guess would be the best option, just a simple "target self" mod, as for everything else...
i just use F1
what i'm wondering also, is there any mods out there, that let you hit something similar to alt+z (remove gui) but let you keep the text boxes? for when you just want nothing but chat on the screen, no action bars, party bars, minimap or similar objects?

There is, Cyrus, but I can't remember what it's called. I'll have to dig it up today for you.

I target myself, then the game switches my target to another player. So, me pushing f1 would mean that id push f1, then it'd target me back to something else. Its no mod I have running, and its only an issue as of this patch really...

I found a mod that does it when I check the RP mods topic last night, RP Imersion will do exactly that with the push of a button placed under the chatlog scroll arrows.
Also, anyone notice Eloquence adding letters to some people's names? I was trying to type Merillinn and it'd keep adding a "g" on the end.

do you have that target's target on or somehting on CT?. IT shouldnt do that.
unless...holy shock cant be used on yourself unless you macro it. It does say that it can cause holy damage or heal a party member. *ponders*
