For the first few days, I didn't even realize it had really happened. The mourning began only yesterday, when I truly realized what I had lost. The sadness weighed on my heart heavily, and filled me with a sense of loss I had never felt before. Only now did I make the time to say what I felt, and I blame myself for not doing so earlier.
