Those of you that don't know, the new patch is out. Even though the servers are all still down, you can log on now, and you will start downloading and installing the new patch.

It's only around 24mb, but with the load on the servers, I'd advise getting it as soon as possible.

Mine's in and installed, can't WAIT to see the weather!

Agreed! Though with all the people flocking to see the weather, I assume it'll just be a lagged up mess.

Mine was downloaded by 10am or so....But now the tag says they have unexpected problems and the game won't be available til 3pm server time. Now what am I going to do? Housework? Feeding children? Seeing the sunlight? Paying bills?

Bah!

:D

I'm uploading it to the site now. I know that the Bliztorrent crap just doesn't work for me, so I'm willing to help others out also (I got my download from the guild, hehe).

Check back in 1/2 hour or so and I'll post the link when I finish uploading.

Just don't stick the link on the public forums or something, lol.

Gaah!! If only I'd known! I hate that Blizzard uploader!

It did nasty perverted things to my bandwidth and took ages to download. By the end, I'd uploaded more of the patch than I'd downloaded.

Same here. I got mine downloaded and installed noonish my time. Then had to leave for work. I'm teaching night classes this week, so won't see the results until later this evening..

Looks like most of the weather this time around is in Alliance lands. I only see Winterspring, Tanaris, Un'Goro and Feralas as weather enabled on Kalimdor. I guess Barrens, Mulgore and Durotar still bask in unending sun..

Oh I will! I can see it now..

"It was a dark and stormy night in Elwynn Forest. The N00bs were trembling in their soggy galoshes at the rumour of a sinister troll manhunter stalking the damp forest, accompanied by a large black wolf, which seemed to melt out of the mists like something out of a nightmare... Muahahahah!"

I'd love to see it get all buggy & have snow in, like, the crossroads.

Now that would be funny. :D

I downloaded the patch from curse-gaming earlier today... I have it on my work laptop, so at least I won't have to re-download it when I get home.

I ... I think I love you ...

:)

So I just need to run the executable and that should be it?

So I just need to run the executable and that should be it?

Yep. You have to save it to your WoW folder (you should see a bunch of similar files from previous patches) and run it from there.

ROFL! I was thinking the same thing! Really..

In fact, I was also wondering if some disgruntled dev would think of throwing in the odd random lightning strike from a wandering stormcloud.

"Sorry folks, the raid on Tarren Mill will be postponed due to inclement weather and threat of lightning.."

assorted glitches with various of my addons. I have been disabling a handful. Others work fine, ....though a few didn't create an error until later.

Shardtracker seems to work in principle, however it's misaligned, floating at the wrong point of my screen.

Wasn't there a post on TN forums about addons not being able to work with 1.10 or was that a lie?

some do, some don't

I think they disabled anything that was capable of doing a click on it's own. If it activated something without your input, it's disabled.

I thinik.
